Chapter 10

Put 'Em Up

Miles looked to Estell for help as Hayate-san lightly caressed his arm in praise. The burgundy haired girl could only look on helplessly, yet amused. Hibari had warned her about their pedo teacher, yet they still went to her tutoring sessions. Estell wondered if she should say something then though, seeing as her poor friend looked like he wanted to cry. Wimp.

"Hayate-sensei. Can we hurry with the lesson?" Estell asked impatiently in Japanese, chewing her gum, "We've got stuff to do this afternoon." They've since moved to an actual classroom, thanks to Hibari threatening them all on the rooftop one day.

"Aa, right," she said and removed her hand and grabbed the Japanese level 2 textbook, continuing her lesson.

The three hour tutoring session went by, and the students left the school that Saturday afternoon. They were getting better, Estell had to admit, but at the cost of some really unwanted harassment. She really didn't have it in her to report the creepy teacher chick, though.

"Thanks for that back there," Miles spoke up as he grabbed his bike. The two didn't actually have plans that day.

"Eh. Even though I ship you two so hard, you looked hella creeped out, so I had to help you out, haha!"

Miles glared at her for shipping them and mounted his bike. "Ew. Whatever, weirdo. See you Monday."

"Aww, you don't wanna hang this weekend?" She smirked.

"We'll see," he replied and rode away.

Estell started walking in the direction of town, seeing as she really needed to go grocery shopping. After walking for half an hour, she realized that she was dumb and public transport was a much better idea.

The Namimori Supa was almost in sight, when Estell spotted a familiar face. She still didn't know this girl's name, or what her deal was, but it was as if the girl made it her job to glare daggers into her. Estell only smirked when she came closer.

"Yo, do you have a problem or something, 'cause I can fix it for you immediately," Estell threatened with a bigger smirk, clenching one of her fists.

"Nope. I doubt you can fix anything, slut."

Estell caught most of the sentence, and she knew the girl wasn't complementing her. "Have you checked a mirror lately?" she switched over to English.

"There's nothing wrong with me, bitch," the girl retorted, and Estell was surprised that her English wasn't too bad. "You should run along now. I'm being nice." She scowled and continued on.

Estell knew that she really was going to hate this girl, yet she was so intrigued by her. She shrugged and continued on her path as well; shopping for essentials and then catching the bus back home. She had at least 6 bags with her. Good thing she was kind of strong.

As she dropped her bags at her door to get her key from her pocket, her neighbor stepped out from his door and paused, looking at her. She looked back at him and just stared. After a few seconds, she smiled. "Good afternoon, Hibari-san. I hope you're having a wonderful day."

He walked past her and continued to the elevator, ignoring her comment. "I am as well. Bye bye!" she yelled after him and continued to unlock her door.

After gym, the 2 American friends said goodbye to each other before heading back to class. Estell made a stop first to the restroom. Upon exiting, her new frenemy stood before her, a look of surprise soon replaced with contempt.

"Move, loser."

Estell laughed and crossed her arms. "You don't even know me, sweetie. So how would you know my ranking? I am anything but a loser."

The girl scoffed and took a step closer, and Estell could see how packed on her makeup was. It was kind of gross looking. Estell had clear skin, so she didn't wear any kind of face makeup, only eye liner and mascara.

"Aww, look at you, hafu. Can't even speak Japanese well. I guess I expected too much from you. Your mom should have taught you better. Now step aside, ug-"

Estell heard insult after insult, and although she couldn't understand everything clearly, her mother just got involved, and Estell didn't play like that. Before the makeup hag could finish her next slur, she swiftly elbowed her in the gut.

Caught off guard, the girl stumbled several paces before falling down, with the Kiseki girl fast approaching. Before she could begin wailing on her, the girl kicked her legs from under her. Estell fell hard and grunted. Now she was enraged. Both girls jumped to their feet and went at it, Estell landing a punch to the girl's face before dodging and being grabbed by a pissed off looking Student Council President person.

"Enough, both of you!" Hibari yelled as he still held onto Estell's blazer. "Yamane Tsubaki, you should know better by now," he chastised the girl, finally letting go of Estell. He approached Tsubaki with his tonfas ready.

"Ya! Hibari-san! This bitch starte-" The boy ignored her excuses as he hit her in the stomach with a tonfa. He took in account the fight, so he didn't use a lot of strength.

He then turned to the newest troublemaker, expecting her to make an excuse as well. She looked away, only mumbling something about insulting her mother in English. Hibari had actually seen the whole encounter, and he knew that the Yamane girl didn't actually land a real blow, only kicking her legs. Yet the red hair colored girl was bleeding from her lip. It must have been the way she landed. Hibari hit this girl with his tonfa was well, but with even less strength. His disdain for Kiseki was much less than it was for Yamane, who had been a constant troublemaker since year 1.

"You know the drill. Detention after school. You're just going to have to miss your session with Hayate, Kiseki."

Estell opened her mouth to protest, but that wasn't actually a bad deal. Detention with sexy sworn enemy-san was much better than tutoring with pedo-sensei. "Hai."

Much to Estell's dismay, detention wasn't actually led by sexy sworn enemy-san this time, but by one of the teachers' that she never met before. Hibari had popped in to make sure that the girls weren't late, and stayed a few extra minutes to make sure they didn't start choking each other, but he left soon after.

Estell looked over at the teacher, who appeared to be in his late twenties. He was kind of attractive, but his dopey look and bad hair style took away from it. He appeared to be texting on his flip phone. She didn't understand why so many Japanese folk still used flip phones like they were cool or something. She looked over at her new enemy who she still kind of wanted to befriend, and raised an eyebrow. Tsubaki was staring at her hard, clenching her pen. "You should get some work done," she said and looked back to her homework.

"I'm going to kill you one day…"

"Yamane-chan, please refrain from threatening people. I told you about this," the teacher said, still texting. "You are terrible at making friends…"

"Shut up! No one asked you, Mino-sensei," she yelled, flustered and jumped up.

Mino-sensei looked up then, but turned to the door. Hibari had come back, and was glaring daggers at his favorite student, delinquent or not.

She sat back down at the sight of Hibari and opened her history textbook, albeit reluctantly.

Estell looked at her favorite person and smiled, winking. He gave her a disgusted look before turning to leave. She frowned when she heard Tsubaki chuckling lightly at her.

I don't actually think that I intended for this to happen! ROFL. They weren't supposed to fight! Just have clashing personalities! Man, now she'll never be her friend, right? XD
