Disclaimer: I still don't own Inuyasha or any related characters. I do, however, own the Anime North costume I made, 4 manga books, a few pictures, a Sango pouch thingy, and that's about it. Oh yeah, and I own any grammar and spelling mistakes that I've made unknowingly.

This was supposed to be the last chapter, but it had eventually gotten too long, so I had to split it into two.

WARNING: More spoilers in this chapter, but it had to be done. Please note that some of the events are not true. Work them out yourselves. You may want to go to for reference.

Past Life Through Reincarnation

Chapter 10 - The Last Battle (pt 1)

The final battle of the play had finally come. The two parties stood opposite from each other, facing the other on the stretched… stage. The wind increased, and the hairs of everyone blew into all directions. Both sides were quiet.

Naraku was standing in the middle of his party, while Inuyasha stood in the middle of his. Naraku was holding out the nearly completed Shikon no Tama, while Inuyasha had his hand on Tetsusaiga's tilt. Kagome stared at the scene with Shippo, while Miroku, Sango, and Kirara were closer into the battlefield.

On Naraku's team, there stood Hakudoushi, Kagura, Kanna, Kohaku, and Entei. Hakudoushi was on Entei's back, naturally, while Kagura stood beside her elder sister holding her fan. Kanna was holding her soul-sucking mirror.

"Kukuku… This is the day you all die, and the Shikon no Tama becomes mine," Naraku crackled. "Let's get this started, so I can win sooner."

"Keh! No way you'll win and take the Shikon no Tama!" Inuyasha growled with disgust.

Naraku held out his other hand (the one without the jewel), and it transformed into a weapon.

'No way he could have done that!' Kagome thought. 'Something's wrong!'

'The jaki had increased…' Miroku and Sango noticed.

'Something's definitely not right!' Shippo thought.

'To hell with Naraku!' was Inuyasha's thought. 'But his arm…'

Then they all had one conclusion in their minds…

'This is for real!'

Screaming suddenly filled Miroku's side of the stage. The Inu-tachi immediately jerked their heads into his direction with shock in their eyes, while Naraku and Hakudoushi crackled evilly.

Miroku fearfully unwind the rosary beads on his "cursed" hand, and opened the cloth that covered his palm. His eyes widened at what he saw. A black hole was opening up in his hand, and wind came from it, threatening to suck anything and everything into it. He immediately wrapped it up again, panting from the pain and shock.

"T-the Kazaana's back…" he whispered to everyone.

The Inu-tachi could do nothing but stare at him, while Sukisyi was panicking over them speaking out the wrong lines.

'What on earth are they doing?!' Sukisyi wondered.

Sango then felt her heart throb for her brother… and Miroku. She could do nothing but to stare at the actor who was playing Kohaku.

"Yes… It's about time that you learned the truth about your brother, Sango," Naraku chuckled evilly. "It was me who shot him in the head with a bullet…"

"Murderer!" she screamed.

"But it was also I who revived him. And as you can, he's standing here, right in front of you, and yet you didn't know."

"Nani?! H-how is that possible?" she stuttered.

"By using modern-day science and technology, of course. All I had to do was to take a brain cell from him, take an enucleated fertilized cell from a woman, take the DNA from his brain cell and then insert it into the fertilized cell. Then the scientists replanted the cell back into the womb of the woman, and let it grow into the appropriate size. Then by using surgery, we've managed to attach the cells back into his head, helping to reviving him from the dead. But the real reason that he's still alive is because of the Shikon shard. I do imagine that you do know what that means…" (A/N: Is that even possible? I mean I did learn about cloning in science class, but reviving people from the dead? Or even helping to… Well, let's just say that it is, okay?)

"Y-you monster!" she growled, and took hold of her boomerang. "Hiraikotsu!"

The giant boomerang sliced through the air, arriving at its destination. Kanna stepped up, and by using her mirror, she reflected the weapon back at Sango.

Kirara immediately flew to her mistress, and got her out of harm's way. Sango then took hold of her weapon again.

"That's it, Naraku!" Inuyasha yelled. "You've played with people for the last time! Tetsusaiga!"

The youkai sword transformed from its rusty self into its larger and more powerful form. Inuyasha charged at Naraku.

"Kaze no… KIZU!" Inuyasha yelled out his attack, while swinging his sword at the air in front of the Naraku-tachi.

But a barrier sprang up in time to protect them from harm, and the attack destroyed the stage instead. The audience screamed in fear and danger as the supports over the stage fell.

"Minna-san, this way out!" Kagome yelled over the screaming, while leading people out of the crashing building. "It's too dangerous to be in here! Please remain as calm as possible. We want to get everyone out as safely as we can!"

Everyone ran out of the room, and they all tried to squish out the exit all together at the same time. But then seconds later, everyone was out safely.

Kagome then ran back to where the fighting was held, and took out her bow and arrows. She got ready to attack.

"Naraku!" she screamed as she released her arrow.

Unfortunately for the Inu-tachi but fortunately for the Naraku-tachi, she missed her target by just a little.

"Useless girl…" someone muttered in a low and quiet voice.

They all turned to come face-to-face with… Kikyo. Not the actress Kikyo, but the real Kikyo. The Kikyo that was dead but revived by the magic of Urasue.

"Kikyo…" they all whispered.

"Naraku… You will die once and for all today!" Kikyo chuckled.

"No… I died 500 years ago, and I was reincarnated into this world with this body," Naraku stated. "It can happen over and over again, for ever! You can't stop me from that!"

"Not if we do something about you and the Shikon no Tama right now!" Inuyasha growled as he charged at their enemy with Tetsusaiga in his hand.

"Bakuryuuha!" Inuyasha yelled out his attack.

The waves of Naraku's jaki and youki collided with the youki of Tetsusaiga and Inuyasha's and formed the countering wave back at Naraku himself. Naraku's barrier had sprung up once again, blocking Inuyasha's attack.

But then two arrows, a giant boomerang, three ofudas, and two whirling tops flew past Inuyasha at straight at Naraku. First the two arrows pierced through his barrier, allowing the rest of the attacks to go through. Then the three ofudas stuck onto Naraku, Hakudoushi, and Entei. Then the two whirling landed onto Naraku and Hakudoushi's heads. Then Hiraikotsu struck the enemies square in their guts. These attacks, however, had somehow missed Kohaku, Kagura, and Kanna. Hiraikotsu returned to Sango.

The three spared ones then jumped out of the way before Inuyasha's attack had hit them. The waves slashed through Entei, Naraku, and Hakudoushi. The waves had also caused the dust and dirt to kick up, and destroyed what was left of the stage. The dust and dirt had filled the… area, and blocked the view of the Naraku-tachi -or at least who were hit by the attacks from the party- from everyone else.

"Did we do it?" Kagome asked nervously.

"Hmp… That was way too easy," Kikyo commented.

"She's right," Sango agreed. "It was much harder last time."

"And you're right, dear Kikyo," a sickening and cold voice rang out from behind the cloud of dust.

There floated the remains of the shattered enemies of the Inu-tachi inside a barrier as they regenerated into their original forms. (A/N: Did you actually think that it would end so easily? Of course not! Naraku-tachi still hasn't attacked yet!)

"We will not be defeated so easily," Hakudoushi stated emotionlessly. "And now the real thing will begin…"

Entei opened his mouth, and light energy could be seen from it. Then the ball of energy got bigger and bigger, until it was too big, and he shot it at the group. The first one that got hit was Inuyasha. The energy ball blasted him from one side of the room to the other and straight into the wall. Kirara immediately flew and saved everyone else from the attack.

"Arigato, Kirara," Sango thanked the fire cat, who just growled softly in reply.

"Inuyasha, daijoubou?!" Kagome yelled out to the unfortunate hanyou.

"Grrr… Ouch…" was his reply.

Naraku extended out his arm again, and it turned into another weapon of his. He charged at the party with unimaginable speed, and started attacking them, starting with Kikyo and Kagome.

"You two are the most dangerous ones in this pathetic group, therefore you two must go first," he muttered under his breath.

He started slashing at them, with Kagome and Kikyo winching in pain whenever he hit them.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome screamed as Naraku stabbed her in the shoulder.

"Kagome! Kikyo!" Inuyasha screeched back, and immediately got up to their rescue.

"I think not," Naraku growled as he extended another tentacle to take hold of Inuyasha's foot.

Naraku's aim was perfect, and Inuyasha was dragged down onto the ground, instead of hovering in the air. Naraku held out yet another tentacle (A/N: How many of those things does he have?!) and stabbed Inuyasha through his stomach, and drew it back out again.

Inuyasha growled at the intense pain and gazed down at his wound. Naraku held up the weapon-like arm that he had, and prepared for the final blow. But then two arrows were shot and they pierced through his chest, where his heart was supposed to be.

-On the stage-

"Kohaku, you have to remember!" Sango screamed. "You're a youkai taijiya!"

Kohaku showed no sign of remembering, but on the inside, he was screaming.

Aneue, I remember everything, and I want to tell you, but I can't. I can't until I tell you where the other half of Hakudoushi and the heart of Naraku is…

Hakudoushi and Entei rode into the air, positioning themselves for an attack. Entei threw his head back and opened his mouth, preparing for another blast.

Miroku immediately recognized the position and widened his eyes in fear.

"Sango, get out of the way!" he yelled, warning her. "Entei is about to attack!"

She immediately whipped her head around, and focused on where Entei and Hakudoushi were.

"Hiraikotsu!" she yelled as she flung her boomerang and the demons.

Hakudoushi had, however, raised a barrier around him and the demon horse. But that little attempt of an attack was all that was needed to distract Entei from completing his attack.

Miroku released a sigh of relief, and went back into attack mode.

Shippo and Kirara took the job of distracting Kagura and Kanna while the others fought the more challenging… people.

Finally, Kohaku could take it no more. 'Even if it means sacrificing myself…'

"Aneue!" he called out.

Sango widened her eyes, and jerked her head into Kohaku's direction.

"In the drama room..!"

"You will say no more, boy!" Naraku hissed, and with a flick of his wrist, the Shikon no Kakera in Kohaku's back popped out.

"Kohaku!" Sango screamed as she ran to aid her brother.

But Kohaku fell limp onto the ground, and laid beside the Shikon shard that had kept him alive the whole time. Sango kneeled beside her dead brother's body.

"Kohaku…"

A few drops of her tears fell onto the ground.

"Sango…" a smoothing masculine voice called. She immediately knew who it was.

"You go while I take care of these guys," Miroku told.

"Un," she agreed while nodding her head.

She immediately ran off to the drama room as Miroku turned to face Hakudoushi and Entei.

"This is where your lives end," he told them.

Miroku gripped his Shakujou tightly and charged at them.

"Miroku, get out of the way!" Inuyasha yelled, suddenly appearing from behind Hakudoushi and Entei.

Miroku immediately changed his direction and ran off. Hakudoushi realized this and jumped off Entei. Entei turned around and formed another blast from his mouth.

"Keh! I've been waiting for this…" Inuyasha smirked.

The blast of energy was thrown towards Inuyasha, but he didn't move. Instead, he gripped the tilt of his katana, and pulled it out at the exact moment.

"Bakuryuuha!"

The waves of Inuyasha and Entei's youki collided and countered. The waves broke Entei into little tiny pieces. Entei was no more.

-Mean while in the halls-

Sango ran down the half-destroyed hallway to the drama room. She slid around the corner and stopped in front of the door. She kicked the door open, while breaking it off its hinges. She wasted no time in getting into the room and started searching for the baby. Actually, she didn't have to search for him, because he was right in front of her… Goryoumaru.

"Heh heh heh… I'm surprised to see you here, taijiya," he smirked.

"This is where everything ends," she stated firmly.

"I doubt it is," he disagreed. "In fact, this is where your life ends."

"Hiraikotsu!" Sango yelled while flinging her weapons to the youkai.

Goryoumaru dodged the huge boomerang without using any effort. He then extended one arm and it turned into a tentacle. He lunged it at her, but she had dodged it just in time.

"Sango get out of the way!" a familiar male voice screeched.

Inuyasha jumped out from nowhere and lunged his demon sword at Goryoumaru.

"What happened to Naraku?" Sango asked.

"I trapped him and Hakudoushi within my Kongousouha attack," he replied, "so they can't move freely. Everyone else should be here soon."

Yes… Everyone except for Kohaku…

"Sango! Daijoubou-ka? You didn't get hurt, did you?" another familiar male voice rang out throughout the hallway.

"Un, daijoubou," she replied, turning around.

She froze after she saw what -or rather, who- Miroku was holding in his arms as he charged into the room. She immediately shook her thoughts out of her head and turned her attention back to the fight. It was fight first, and then Kohaku's body second… Wait… How did that work..? But anyhow, she needed to avenge her people.

"We need to finish this now!" Inuyasha urged.

"We know that!" Kagome yelled back.

A vein popped out from Sango's forehead.

"Well then if you stop being so useless…"

And another… And another…

"Guys! Hello?! This is no time to be arguing!" Sango suddenly yelled, feeling that their argument was quite useless and pointless.

"Oh, right, gomen," Kagome apologized.

The gang turned to face Goryoumaru once again. He was looking quite annoyed. Even he was getting frustrated with all the Inuyasha-Kagome arguments.

"Must you two argue all the time?!" he demanded. "They're just so darn annoying, useless, and pointless!"

They all sweatdropped at his reaction, because they were expecting something more violent coming from him.

"But anyways… let's get back to the fighting," Inuyasha said.

"Agreed," Goryoumaru replied.

Inuyasha and his gang got ready to fight again, and Goryoumaru also got ready. They were all in their ready-to-attack positions.

Arg! Battle scenes are always so hard to write… Once again, I must apologize for my incrediable laziness.

Anyway, gimme a review to help me write.
