Dear Anne,

I have heard of your recent heroic accomplishment of saving Minnie May Barry's life. I would like you to know that I am proud of you for such a noble act. Diana also told me that you will now be attending the Christmas ball. I look forward to seeing you there.

I will be attending the ball, though do not count on receiving any attention from me.
