"Jan Di! Woo Bin called and said we have to go-" Jae Kyung yelled as she ran over to Jan Di, but immediately stopped when she saw Dae-hyun.
Dae-hyun glowered at her in response.
"Ya, aren't you Lee Dae-hyun?" Jae Kyung asked with irritation. "Why don't you just leave Jan Di alone already? She's married, she doesn't have time to play silly love games with you!" she brushed past Dae-hyun and grabbed Jan Di's hand, pulling her along, leaving Dae-hyun standing, angrily staring after them.
Gaeul was waiting ahead of them. "How did he find you?" she whispered to Jan Di as they walked away from him in a fast pace.
Jan Di looked back over her shoulder, and in a quick glance she saw him still standing in that same spot, and still watching after them. She quickly looked back ahead and frowned; she had a gut feeling that he was planning on doing something bad, or dangerous, and devious, for that matter.
She sighed. It wouldn't be Dae-hyun interrupting their vacation if he didn't have a plan. Of course. He was the type of person to never give up.. but why was he so intent on being with her? Does he think their friendship is like an unrequited love? Although, she couldn't help but feel an overwhelming amount of guilt as she silently slapped herself for beginning to feel those feelings for him again, when they saw each other after so long. But she kept in mind that he caused Jun-pyo's head injury, and she'll never forgive him for that. Why couldn't he just get that there was nothing between them anymore?
"Jan Di-yah, what do you think he'll do?" Gaeul continued worriedly, breaking Jan Di's train of thoughts. She cleared her throat and immediately plastered on a fake smile.
"Don't worry, whatever he has in mind I'll stand my guard. I spent enough time with him, now I think I should focus on helping Jun-pyo remember the F4."
"Do you think he's getting close?" Jae Kyung wondered, as the tensions relaxed. "Hasn't he spent the whole day with them?"
This time Jan Di put on a genuine smile. "Hopefully."
The three continued happily chatting as they finally arrived at the beach, and were flabbergasted when they saw Jun-pyo atop Ji-hoo beating him mercilessly, with Woo Bin and Yi-jung hastily attempting to pull him off.
"Jun-pyo!" Jan Di screamed angrily as the girls ran over to where they were. Woo Bin and Yi-jung looked up at them anxiously and continued to force Jun-pyo away from Ji-hoo. "Jun-pyo, stop already!"
"Jun-pyo!" Jan Di yelled again when she was beside him, and the sound of Jan Di's voice immediately made him stop as he looked at her with a bewildered expression.
"Jan Di," he started slowly, the tone of his voice already causing her stomach to flop. "Have you ever lied to me? About anything?"
What was going on? She hastily shook her head.
He stared at her incredulously for a few seconds before looking ahead with frustration, then promptly stood up and began walking away, his back facing the confused group.
Jan Di immediately stood up and followed him, attempting to stop him several times, but he looked indistinctly forward with an impassive expression, and continued walking without acknowledging her.
"Jun-pyo!" Ji-hoo, bruised and still sprawled out on the ground, called after him. "It was just for fun!"
Jan Di watched Jun-pyo slowly walk away with tears forming in her eyes. She looked down at Ji-hoo, and noticed the majority of his upper body was black and blue. Troubled, and lost in her thoughts, she bent down and unconsciously touched his bruised shoulder that Jun-pyo had repeatedly kicked. Ji-hoo gulped and glanced over at Jun-pyo, who happened to see Jan Di's act of kindness and which of course, from afar looked a little suggestive. He angrily picked up a rock and threw it elsewhere. "Aish!"
Later, Jan Di arrived at their room, hoping to find Jun-pyo there. She was disheartened when he was not, and worriedly checked her phone. Suddenly she heard the door open behind her.
"Jun-" she started hopefully, until she turned and saw that it was Ji-hoo, who looked at her with a sorrowful expression.
"Oh Sunbae, are you okay?" she asked him in concern. He nodded, walked past her and sat down on the bed calmly.
"What happened?" she sat down beside him and watched him with anxious eyes. "Why was Jun-pyo acting like that?"
Ji-hoo sighed and took something out from his pocket. Jan Di looked down and saw that it was a picture of them at their fake wedding years ago. She stared at it, confused for a few seconds before realizing. Stunned, she slowly glanced back up at him. He was staring down at the floor with a tensed expression.
"Did he think this was real?"
