Dream Guardian King Allen: Welcome back everyone and today is going to be a short chapter mainly just giving another viewpoint of the universe of Ajax Nobody as he continues his journey. I'm sorry for being gone for so long but, I have been busy with college and this week was a week full of exams, but now that it is over I can get back to writing. Without further ado, let's get this party started.
A perfectly quiet morning in Wheelbarrow as we come to the Soda Saloon, Pap is getting the morning folk coffee while they watched the Daily Bugle on the TV in the room. Then the front doors open and the Mayor of Wheelbarrow comes into the local soda shop. A man in his early mid-thirties, brown hair with light green eyes, a fancy suit and tie, he went up to Pap and struck a conversation with him.
"Morning Pap, how's business?" asked the Mayor.
"It's going well Mayor Mackelson, but to be honest it's a little too quiet for my tastes," answered Pap as he gave another person their coffee.
"Can't argue with that. Ever since Ajax left things have gotten really quiet here, which is good in my opinion. It means no one is getting hurt by Ajax's foolish experiments," said Mayor Mackelson before he reached for a newspaper on the bar counter.
The Mayor was stopped short however as Pap slamed his palm onto the newspaper and looked Mackelson in the eye with a stone cold face and said "No one may be getting hurt, but that does not excuse the fact that Ajax ran away, and now he is out who knows where getting into who knows what."
"Now hold on there, let's not get worked up," said Mackelson.
"Worked up, have seen my daughter lately? She is out of her mind with worry with Ajax being gone. If anything happens to him, I will personally hold you and the rest of the council responsible for putting him in harm's way. Got it?" asked Pap sternly.
"Got it?" answered Mackelson as Pap's features softened a little allowing the mayor to read his paper and they both returned to the business. They were both silent for a few moments before Tristen came in with a towel draped over his shoulders. Tristen went up to Pap and his dad.
"Morning Dad, morning Pap," said Tristan with a friendly wave.
"Morning Tristen, what can I do you for today?" asked Pap as he saw the young man.
"My friends and I are going swimming so we need drinks to take with us,"
"Very well, what will it be then?" asked Pap as Tristen hands him a piece of paper and he gets his glasses so he can read it. "Twelve colas, eight lemon limes, eight oranges, and ten lemonades. I hope you got an ice chest for me to put this all in," said Pap.
"Yeah I got it in my car. I'll get it real quick," answered Tristan.
"Pap, put the order on my account, I'll pay for it," said Mayor Mackleson.
"Thanks Dad, I owe you one," said Tristan.
"Just make sure you pay it off by doing your chores or better yet I'll take it out of your allowance," responded the Mayor but Tristan was already gone.
While they were waiting for Tristen to get back with the cooler, Pap got the drinks for the order and Mayor Mackleson went back to his paper. The peace was short lived as one customer saw something in the Daily Bugle Report that shocked him, causing him to sputter out some of his drink. "It's Ajax," said the customer which got no one's attention. "Guys? Ajax is on TV. Hey Pap! Pap! AJAX NOBODY IS ON THE DAILY BUGLE!" yelled the guy at the top of his lungs. This brought the entire attention of the saloon with a collective "What?"
Pap then stopped what he was doing to look at the customer like he grew a second head, "What are talking about?"
"Look he's on the TV!" the customer answered only to see that a commercial was playing. "Ahh! Get the remote quick!" Pap gets the remote and presses the rewind button, and then everyone in the saloon huddles around the TV to hear about the news story. Tristen comes back in with the cooler for him and his friends' drinks.
"What's going on here?" Tristan asked one of the saloon waitresses.
"I don't know, some guy just started shouting something about Ajax Nobody," answered the waitress.
"Oh really? What has that pipsqueak done now?" said Tristan.
"Right there! Press play," said the customer as Pap pressed the play button on the remote and the saloon watched the news report.
"This is J. Jonah Jameson for the Daily Bugle's Worlds Wide Report," barked J. Jonah Jameson. "Today's story: Fiery Sibling Squabble. Last night, the princess of the Fire Nation Azula escaped from her insane asylum cell with the help of members of the Villain Society. Later that night, they attempted to take Fire Lord Zuko's life under the cover of a lightning storm thus making her the new Fire Lord. Unfortunately for them, the Fire Lord had help in the form of four travelers turned unexpected saviors when one of them spotted Azula on the roof."
The news report shows a picture of Ajax and the group with General Iroh. "The four in the picture with retired General Iroh, member of the high hero council, are the ones responsible for saving Zuko's life. In this picture is Woody Woodpecker, Sam I am is the who, the penguin is known as Opus, and the kid with the stick is called Ajax Nobody according to our sources at the Fire Nation Palace. These four along with keyblade Master Riku fought against the villains and drove them off Palace grounds. However, before the four could be congratulated, they fell down a blue portal and vanished off the planet with the portal closing behind them. As of this report we have no idea where these courageous individuals has disappeared to. In other news Princess Melia of the High Entia of Bionis had just been reported missing and is assumed to be kidnapped. That's it for this edition of Worlds Wide Report. When we come back: the latest actions on that web-slinging miscreant Spiderman."
The news report ends and everyone just stares at one another in total silence at the unbelievable sight of what they just saw. The scene cuts to the Wheelbarrow Orphanage where the phone rings and Haley picks it up and answers.
"Hello, Wheelbarrow Orphanage. How may I help you?" asked Haley. "Hey Pap! How is it going? Slow down, I can't understand you. Ok, hold on, I'll get her," Haley takes the phone away from her ear and yelled out, "Ms. Angelo, Pap is on the phone he wants to talk to you."
Ms. Angelo came to Haley and received the phone from her assistant and answered, "Hello dad," after a moment of silence she shouted, "HE'S WHERE?!"
From the Journal of Ajax Nobody:
Ms. Robin Angelo: The best Orphanage Caretaker that ever lived. She is the very woman who took me into the orphanage when I was just a baby and she treats all the children under her care like her own. She is a kind but also a very stern woman and refuses to let anyone push her around. She will go to great lengths to make sure the children she cares for a put into good homes before approving any potential parents.
Haley: She is Ms. Angelo's newest assistant. She only just came to Wheelbarrow when this who mess started. She stuck up for me against Tristan and his lackeys when they were bulling me at Pap's Soda Saloon. She abhors any and all abuse on children and will defend anyone in need.
Tristan Mackleson: This good for nothing, bulling captain quarterback of the football team is the son of the town's mayor. He and his cronies would spend every day after school coming up with new ways to make my life miserable. He thinks that being the son of the Mayor makes him entitled to do whatever he wants to unopposed. One of these days, karma is going to catch up to him and I hope I have a front room seat to it.
Pap: The nicest guy in Wheelbarrow and father to Ms. Angelo. He runs the most popular place in town: The Soda Saloon, a hot spot for families. He is one of the few people in Wheelbarrow who doesn't hate me for my constant mistakes. He is a master of drink mixing and his flavor combinations of carbonated water and natural flavors are a favorite for everyone.
Mayor Mackleson: The Mayor of Wheelbarrow and the father of Tristan, this guy is in charge of nearly everything that goes on in the town and would do anything to keep its people safe. He is one of the reasons for me getting kicked out of Wheelbarrow altogether and putting my on this crazy quest. Though contrary to popular belief he is not like other politicians, often putting the wellbeing of the town before his own.
D.G.K.A.: And that was the chapter for now. In previous reviews you guys have mentioned liking the various points of view that happen during the events of the story, so I thought I would do one with the people of Wheelbarrow. Originally I wanted this scene to be part of the beginning of the Pokemon World Arc, but I wanted to give you guys something for waiting so long for an update. If you guys like more stories like this around the characters you see in the story like Artemis or the other villains, let me know. Also, if you have any requests for worlds or characters that you would like to see cameo in the story, let me know as well, all I ask is that you don't flood me with too many requests for one thing. With that said, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and will review this chapter as well as follow and favorite this story as it lets me know how well I'm doing as an author that way I can keep on giving you even me great chapters. When that said, it's time to say good night and be safe.
