By the time the case had been wrapped up and they were ready to go, Anna was exhausted. Still, she'd done the best she could for Matthew Johnson, and had made sure that Mary Newburg's case was as airtight as she could make it.

One small blessing in Anna's book was that Mary, once she'd seen that her 'Russell' wasn't going to answer her, she seemed to be accepting her fate. She wasn't speaking to anyone except for prayers to Hannali. The evidence was piling up, however, that Mary Newberg was the second 'daughter of Hannali' to cross the line from healing children to taking vengeance on their tormentors.

Hotch and Gideon were now talking about having Anna make a presentation about the daughters of Hannali and their actions to the BAU teams, and assorted other agents.

Matthew Johnson, on the other hand, was on his way to either an insanity case or a mistrial, depending on the jury and his attorney. He'd been covered in terms of the murders, but the fact that the shed and the hole where Anna and Derek had been held were just across the property line from his house was not promising on the assault and kidnapping charges.

In the end, however, Anna boarded the plane with a sigh of relief. At least, she was relieved until she found herself under the scrutiny of the entire team. She looked at each of them for a long moment, even Derek, then took a seat and buckled up.

The staring was barely enough to keep her from freaking out as the plane took off.

As soon as they were in the air, Anna focused on Reed, "Did someone dye my hair blue when I wasn't looking?"

"Um, no," Reed said.

"Rossi said he was impressed with your dad and brothers when you worked the first case," Hotch said as he began to shuffle a deck of cards. "It's part of what got him to write your recommendation to the Academy too."

Anna smiled a little, "I know, I never expected him to do that for me. But what's that got to do with anything?"

"I'm just curious," Hotch said, "you're an FBI agent on the premier BAU team. How on Earth did your brothers end up as a pair of bank robbers."

"WHAT?" Anna shouted.

I promise, I will have Profiler, Profiled written up at some point, but give me some time. I need to get something wrapped up. I'm titling the story as Common Ground, and it will be similar to Common Sense, that is, written in and around the episode in question.
