Okay, so I finally feel like I can do setting with this story. The stuff I put up there is still true, but I'll be deleting that chap tonight.

I won't abandon this story, but updates may be more sporadic than usual. I do have other projects I want to and am working on, and I'm not going to let then suffer because of a story I feel obligated to finish.

That being said, if you think you'd like to adopt the story, let me know. If, and only if, I find someone who I feel certain would do justice by the story better than I can, I may give up Renaissance. Fair warning, any applicants would be evaluated the heck out of.

For now, have a short chapter. It's really more of an interlude or something, more in 3rd omniscient than Dapple's pov.

"Starclan has spoken. ShadowClan realizes we are bit at fault, and in way of apology has sent Littlecloud to help treat injuries caused by the attack."

As Bramblestar's words reverberated in the clearing, heads turned to where Littlecloud sat with a bundle of herbs tucked near his paws.

Though another medicine cat was not at the top of Thunderclan's list of prorities, most cats seemed to appreciate the meaning behind the action. For ShadowClan to send their medicine cat to a possibly hostile camp, when they themselves had injuries, was a sacrifice that had surely only come about because of Starclan's scolding.

As the meeting closed, cats retreated to their duties. A small clump of injured cats sat in the mouth of the medicine den, trying to soak up the last of the Greenleaf sun. Squirrelflight took Bramblestar's place on the high ledge and began calling out patrols.

The older apprentices were sent to repare a small place on the nursery wall where the fighting had caused damage, but no other action was needed to return the cap to it's usual state.

Though a hint of unease lingered in the camp, life was quickly returning to normal.

In the tamer parts of the forest close to a small twoleg den, two cats fought. To an outside eye it would seem they were far too young for such a ferocious battle, but looking closely at their fighting moves would reveal that's they knew what they were doing.

Nearby in a tree, two cats watched intently. The larger, a tom, had his eyes mainly fixed on the lithe she cat. Her moves were more delicate, but each blow sang with purpose and more often than not hit their mark.

The second observer, a she cat, kept her gaze on the the second fighter. Even as young as he looked, his broud shoulders and powerful build gave him the look of a much more experienced tom. His strikes were blunter, tending to hit just to the side of their target, but were powerful enough to make his opponent pause.

They both excelled at their craft, but to the she cat their flaws were painfully obvious.

She'd have to make them shape up quickly if they were to fulfill her next purpose for them.

I feel like they ended abruptly, but i just typed all that out on my phone.

ALSO ANNOUNCEMENT: In an hour or two I'll be posting a summary type thing on my tumblr about the collab with Brightstarswag. Also, the title will be revealed, so I can stop calling it "the collab with Brightstarswag"

You won't need a tumblr to view it, just internet, so I'm kinda hoping at least one or two of you will look at it.
