Magic Can Change Someone - Chapter 10 - Let the Training Start!
Natsu x Mirajane x Erza
When Acnologia attacked it broke. The seal that kept his true magic away broke, his magic changed. His flames grew stronger, he became smarter, he understood what Mirajane and Erza meant. The real Natsu Dragneel has returned. Now it's time to understand who he is, who was his parents, and find out how did Makarov and Mavis know them?
"Hm?" Mirajane muttered as she slowly opened, her hands moved to her eyes to shield them from the blazing light.
"Another.. minute.." Erza mumbled as she squeezed her pillow tighter.
"Dragons.." Mirajane sighed as she looked to the side and saw a massive gray dragon.
"The girl is a awake." the dragon said aloud with a deep voice so everyone could hear him.
"Shut up Metalicana." A large red dragon lying in the corner of the damp cave yelled back.
The gray dragon just sighed and stood up. He slowly started walking up to the red dragon and once he got to there he clamped his mouth down on his scaly tail.
"Ragh!" The red dragon yelled and bolted up to try to free his tail.
"Ragh!" The gray dragon yelled in pain as the red dragon sinked it's teeth down into the gray dragons tail.
Both of the dragon were now in a equal fight of pulling each other's tails.
"Igneel! Metalicana! Will you both stop acting like two younglings!" A soft voice yelled at two dragons which made them stop instantly.
"Grandeeney.." Both Igneel and Metalicana muttered as they both opened their mouths and dropped each other's tails.
"What am I going to do with you two?" Grandeeney sighed and as she started to slowly walk over to Mirajane, Erza, and Natsu.
"You weren't kidding.." Mirajane muttered.
"Of course not, why would I?" Grandeeney asked as she stopped in front of her. A blue light started to shine around Erza and Mirajane.
"Are they healthy?" Metalicana asked with his loud voice.
"Yes, Natsu is too. He should wake up today, but he will still need to rest." Grandeeney informed the other two dragons.
"Good.. at least he's healing." Igneel sighed.
"Igneel.." Erza whispered as her eyes opened wide in shock. She couldn't believe what she was seeing and hearing.
Igneel was a name she had heard over and over by Natsu. It was the name of his adopted father that he was looking for.
"Hmm? I'm surprised you've heard of me.." Igneel laughed as he heard the small whisper of Erza.
"Of course.. Natsu has been searching for you for years.." Mirajane muttered out as she stared at Igneel with Erza.
"Heh.. I'm not surprised." Igneel laughed once again.
"Are we just going to to lie around all day and do nothing or are we going to train some? We've got a war coming." Metalicana yelled as he stood up.
"I would.. but aren't you dragons.. our magic is different." Erza replied to Metalicana's yell.
"So? You might have different magic but at the end of the day you can still train together." Grandeeney piped in and laughed.
"Alright.. if so, how would you train us?" Mirajane asked.
"Heh.. Grandeeney says the two of you use take over magic and requip magic.. Right?" Metalicana asked with a grin and pointed at Mirajane first then Erza.
"Correct. Requip!" Erza yelled and requiped into her flight armor.
"Perfect. Let's fly!" Metalicana yelled as he started to run out of the cave with a big grin.
"Guess we can start with some normal training." Igneel sighed as he got up and started to follow Metalicana.
"Guess that means we should follow." Mirajane sighed and got herself up to go join Igneel and Metalicana.
"He'll be fine... he just a needs some more rest." Grandeeney told Erza as she looked over to her and saw Erza staring at Natsu.
"I hope so.." Erza sighed and started to walk with Mirajane out of the cave.
"I.. regret.. this!" Erza yelled as she continued to fly through the bright blue sky. She was entering the third hour with Mirajane as they flew as fast as they could with Igneel and Metalicana. They also had learned a few things on the way.
The dragons never actually hid. They were just too fast to actually spot them in the air and when they weren't in the air, they were in caves resting.
They also had learned their limit on how long they could keep their magic going. Erza was in her flight armor while Mirajane was in her Satan Soul take over form.
"How... can.. flying.. be so.. exhausting?" Mirajane whined between huffs. She was tired and couldn't even feel her wings. It was a miracle that she was even still in her take over form.
"It's easy.." Metalicana laughed with his loud voice and swooped in between Erza and Mirajane as he simply flew into the sky with ease.
"Of coure.. it's easy.. for you.. YOU'RE A DRAGON!" Erza yelled and went back to attempting to take deep breaths to keep her flight armor on.
"You're correct, It's easy for us.. but hard for you. I'm impressed you've lasted this long." Igneel replied to Erza's outburst,
"Great.." Mirajane sighed.
"Hmm?" Metalicana mumbled as he looked at Erza and Mirajane. He felt a drop in magic energy and saw both of the girls' eyes widen.
"Uh.. oh." Mirajane mumbled.
"Have a nice trip." Igneel sighed and looked at both girls as they started to glow.
At the same time both girls magic ran out and Erza lost her requip while Mirajane lost her take over.
"Help!" Erza screamed as they both dropped like rocks towards the ground.
"Should we help them?" Metalicana asked as he looked at Erza and Mirajane fall.
"Hmm.. we should. Well.. I should or my son is gonna be a bit mad at me." Igneel sighed and dove down at the two girls fallings.
"Feels nice, right?" Metalicana asked as he joined Igneel and dove towards Mirajane and Erza.
"Uh.. no! We're falling!" Erza screamed as a million things raced through her mind. She was trying to find a way to live at the moment.
"How about climbing on?" Igneel offered as he moved his wings to show them that they could grab onto his scales.
"Thanks!" Mirajane yelled and both her and Erza grabbed onto Igneel as tightly as they could.
"Thanks? They both almost killed us!" Erza yelled as she was bit pissed.
"And now.. you've learned how long you can last using your magic." Metalicana laughed as he started to swoop upwards with Igneel. Under them was the green forest which they passed at a rapid speed.
"Well.. that's true." Erza agreed.
Grumble. Grumble.
"Hmm.. I was wondering when that would happen." Igneel laughed as he continued to fly towards the cave where Natsu was resting.
"Bring the girls back.. I'll go hunting." Metalicana told Igneel as he started to spread his wings as much as he could.
"Good luck and have fun." Igneel replied to Metalicana and they all three watched as he pushed off with tremendous speed.
"My muscles.." Erza moaned.
"Tell me about it." Mirajane sighed as both of them crashed down onto their beds. Right away they curled up and looked at the sleeping Natsu.
"How is he?" Erza asked as she looked to the side and so the white dragon curled up as she watched over Natsu.
"Good... for some who got a chunk of himself taken out." Grandeeney replied to Erza and continued to look at Natsu.
"It'll take time. Who knows what will happen when he wakes up." Igneel sighed and walked over to the other side of the cave to lay down.
"So how were the girls?" Grandeeney asked Igneel with a bit of curiosity. She already knew they were exhausted.
"Not bad.. strong but they need more magic." Igneel replied with a slight laugh. "Hopfully if we can exhaust their magic out everyday, it should be able to increase in quantity."
"That's good. Also when should we teach them about dragon mating?" Grandeeney asked Igneel.
"Mating.." Mirajane whispered in a bit of shock as her cheeks grew a bit red.
"O.. this is going to be awkward.." Erza sighed as her own cheeks grew red.
"I don't know, that's your job not mine." Igneel laughed aloud.
"And now we know why Natsu isn't that smart.." Grandeeney sighed.
"Food's here!" Metalicana yelled into the cave with four cows in his jaw.
"Well.. it's food." Erza sighed as she looked at Mirajane and they both gave each other the same look.
"Igneel! Cook one of them up for the humans!" Metalicana yelled as he threw a cow towards Igneel and the girls' direction.
Above the Mirajane's and Erza's head they both felt a tremendous heat as they looked up and saw Igneel using his fire on the cow.
Ching.
Metalicana quickly moved over to the cooked cow and used his sharp claws to cut it into pieces as it fell in front of her.
"Fresh meat..." Mirajane nervously said aloud.
"It's food.. you might not be used to it, but it's food. You both need to refuel your magic energy, so eat up." Grandeeney replied as Metalicana fetched her a cow and they watched her eat it up in one bite.
"Eat up, leftovers are mine." Metalicana laughed as he threw a cow into the air and swallowed it whole.
"Yeah.. thanks." Erza sighed with Mirajane.
"Left.. right.."
Boom.
"Oww.." Erza moaned as she was hit by Metalicana's sharp iron hard tail.
"Your fault for not dodging." Metalicana laughed.
"Yeah.. thanks. I would do better if my magic wasn't drained." Erza sighed.
"That's the point you fool." Metalicana sighed. "The goal is to make your magic container larger so it can hold more magic for you to use." Metalicana explained after sighing.
"Still.. it's honestly different than expected.." Erza replied back as she sat down in the green grass. Luckily for them there was a large open field right next to the cave they were at. Erza and Mirajane were now training once again.
Boom!
"Bye.." Metalicana yelled and waved his tail back and forth as he saw Mirajane get punted into the air.
"Sorry!" Igneel yelled as he spread his wings and flew after her.
"I'm starting to see how Natsu got so strong when he was young.." Erza mumbled as she let a few strands of sweat roll down her face.
"Yeah.. dragon slayers that were trained by a dragon are interesting as they were all taught differently.." Metalicana sighed.
"Yes.. but what about your training with Gajeel?" Erza asked Metalicana.
"You know Gajeel?" Metalicana asked as he moved his head right in front of Erza. It got his attention very quickly.
"Umm.. yes. He is in our guild." Erza replied back as she slightly became nervous at how fast Metalicana asked the question.
"Good for him.. he didn't get beaten by Natsu.. right?" Metalicana asked without blinking.
"Actually.. he did.." Erza replied with slight hesitation.
Metalicana raised his body and towered over Erza. "DAMN YOU GAJEEL!" Metalicana roared.
"Told you it was true."
Metalicana looked up and saw Igneel above him flying with Mirajane out cold on his back.
"You broke the human, you moron!" Metalicana yelled.
"No I didn't! I just threw her, that's all... o." Igneel yelled back and realized what he had done.
"Stupid fire dragon." Metalicana sighed and lied down in the grass with a large huff.
"Remind me... to give.. Natsu some credit.." Mirajane mumbled as she fell of Igneel and tried getting up.
"Yeah.. I have no idea how Natsu survived this." Erza laughed as she helped Mirajane up.
The beginning of training was definitely interesting..
"Was Grandeeney wrong?"
That was the question that clogged both Erza and Mirajane's mind that rainy day.
Igneel and Metalicana were gone for the day as they got into a fight and Grandeeney had kicked them out till they fixed it. So it was just Grandeeney, Erza, and Mirajane in the cave. They all were watching Natsu as he continued to sleep for the fifth day.
"It was a bad injury. It will take time for his body to fix itself so he could start moving again." Grandeeney sighed after watching Erza and Mirajane stare at Natsu for two straight hours.
Every day without fail they would sit down and stare at Natsu. They wanted to see him up again and see him happy. At the moment he was just lying there sleeping with a regular face, no massive smile like he always sported.
"I know.. but I just want him to get better. I miss him.." Erza whispered and leaned against Mirajane's shoulder. Mirajane right away leaned her head on Erza and they supported each other.
"I know how you feel.. it hurts when a loved one is sick and there's nothing you can do." Grandeeney sighed.
"Well it doesn't help that we can't go outside and train." Mirajane replied. "Training is what's been keeping our minds busy."
"Hmm.. if you want something to keep your mind busy then why didn't you say something." Grandeeney laughed as she smiled and stretched.
"What do you mean?" Erza asked Grandeeney.
"We have to talk about dragon and dragon slayer mating." Grandeeney replied with a smile.
"Mating.." Both Mirajane and Erza whispered as went cheeks went slightly red.
"Yes.. Mating.. now where should I begin.." Grandeeney started to think. "Ahh I know.. how you both became one."
"Alright.. how did we become Natsu's mate?" Mirajane asked Grandeeney.
"You connected with him." Grandeeney informed Mirajane and Erza.
"Connected?" Erza asked in a confused state.
"Do I really need to be blunter?" Grandeeney asked the two girls with a sigh.
"I guess so.." Erza sighed in agreement.
"As you humans call it.. you had sex with Natsu." Grandeeney told Erza and Mirajane as she watched their faces go extremely red.
"W-what?" Mirajane asked.
"Yes sex. The dragon and dragon slayer mating process happens when a male dragon or dragon slayer has sex with a female dragon or human. This is called mating as it usually is when the male inpregnates the female. It is when the female becomes pregnant." Grandeeney explained to Mirajane and Erza as they became even redder than they were before.
"Ok... did not see that coming." Erza said aloud.
"Does that mean Erza and me are pregnant?" Mirajane asked the dragon.
"I said usually, did I not? The two of you are not yet pregnant but you have connected with Natsu.." The two female mages sighed in relief.
"I'll start from the begging. Right off the bat I knew you were Natsu's mate as when a dragon or dragon slayer makes a female his mate a new magic is stored inside her body. That magic is like a signal. A signal telling every male dragon or dragon slayer that you are another dragon or dragon slayer's mate. That magic source that was left in you also serves as a beacon so that your mate can find you no matter where you are in case of emergency." Grandeeney continued your explanation.
"Now.. dragon and dragon slayer mating is important as it's the only way a new dragon is born or a new dragon slayer is born. Also a dragon or dragon slayer can normally only have one mate. But of course this a bit different with Natsu for some reason. I have not determined the reason yet if you want to know." Grandeeney explained.
"Ok.. that's good to know." Erza replied back as she took in the new information.
"Yes.. there is one last thing that you should know." Grandeeney said aloud with a very stern voice.
"When a dragon or dragon slayer chooses his or her mate.. that dragon or dragon dragon slayer will always love his or her mate forever. So whatever happens, know that Natsu loves you. Got it?" Grandeeney informed Erza and Mirajane with a stern voice as she brought her head right in front of them.
"Got it.. though you don't need to worry. I think both me and Erza know that." Mirajane replied to Grandeeney with a soft smile.
"Good.. now we wait for the two troublesome dragons to return." Grandeeney sighed as she looked out of the cave towards the gray sky.
"That.. and Natsu. I just wish he would wake up.." Erza sighed as she looked over at Natsu. He was still in the same place after sleeping for a week, though Grandeeny was now using magic to replenish his body with the resources he needed to live.
"Don't worry.. he'll wake up when he's well enough." Grandeeney said aloud as she looked over at Natsu.
"Keep going!" Metalicana yelled.
"C-can't.. this.. is crazy.." Erza cried as she pushed back Metalicana's tail with her sword. She knew dragons were strong, but not this strong.
"Trust me.. by the end of this you'll have a nice match for us." Metalicana laughed.
"Gah!
"Igneel! Stop throwing her around!" Metalicana yelled as they saw Mirajane go flying again into the sky. Seconds later they saw Igneel fly after her.
"What are they even trying to do that's makes her go flying like that?" Erza asked in curiosity. Almost everyday her and Metalicana had seen her go flying.
"She's trying to gain a new take over." Metalicana laughed.
"A new take over? Which one?" Erza asked as she used the time talking to Metalicana to take a deep breath and rest.
"A dragon one.. which type I do not know.." Metalicana informed Erza.
"Wow.. that'll defiantly be interesting to see her use.." Erza replied in a bit of shock.
"Good for her.. are you ready?" Metalicana asked as he flicked his tail back and forth behind him.
"Yeah.. but my armor sets aren't. At this rate they'll be all broken." Erza sighed and got up to start training once again.
"Don't worry, when you get your new armor sets you won't need those old weak ones." Metalicana laughed and flickered his tail at Erza. Erza quickly dashed to this side and dodged Metalicana's iron hard tail.
"New armor sets?" Erza asked as her eyes started sparkling. That was always a good topic for Erza.. that and cake.
"Yes.." Metalicana sighed as he saw Erza's eyes light up with a hunt of excitement.
Boom!
"Oww..." Erza moaned as Metalicana's tail landed on her.
"Your fault for getting distracted and not looking." Metalicana replied to Erza's moan with a small laugh.
"Natsu..."
"Natsu..."
"Stop poking him!" Mirajane yelled at Erza as they both sat next to Natsu and watched him sleep even more.
They were both officially extremely worried. It had been a week and a half since Natsu got hurt and Natsu was still asleep.
"Well then what am I suppose to do? You've got his head in your lap!" Erza replied back with a huff. As she poked Natsu, Miraajne had rested Natsu's head in her lap and was running her hand through his hair.
"You snooze, you lose." Mirajane replied back to Erza with a smirk.
"God.. this is why I hate boring days." Erza sighed. Mirajane and Erza both trained hard in the morning so the dragons were letting them rest for the rest of the day. Sadly though the three dragons flew off and went hunting while Erza and Mirajane remained in the cave to watch over Natsu.
"Alright then let's talk.. that should make it not so boring." Mirajane suggested to Erza.
"About what? We know most of the things about each other." Erza sighed.
"True..." Mirajane sighed and bent down to kiss Natsu on his forehead. As she was bringing her head away from Natsu her eyes followed down to his muscular chest where his white bandages were wrapped around his wound.
"Does it still bring you nightmares?" Erza asked Mirajane. It wasn't just her it seemed.
"Yeah.. I see it over and over again. Zeref's hand going right through Natsu and killing him." Mirajane whispered as she never really liked talking about it.
"For me it's Natsu dying when I had the chance to save him.." Erza sighed as she picked up Natsu's hand and wrapped her own hands around it. Even though he was asleep his hand still made her warm.
"We can't.. we can't let this happen again." Mirajane whispered as she looked down at Natsu.
"I agree... we need to train harder. We can not let this happen again." Erza agreed with Mirajane as she looked over at Natsu's face.
"Inhale.. and don't blow yourself up." Igneel told Mirajane as she sat criss crossed on top of a large boulder with her hands on a black stone which was being held by Igneel's tail.
"I can do this.." Mirajane whispered aloud and kept concentrating on her magic.
Pop.
Igneel looked down at the black stone in his tail and started to watch it boil.
"She's almost got it..." Igneel thought to himself. The black stone which he had his tail coiled around was literally boiling yet it was a solid rock.
Pop.
Igneel looked at the black stone again and watched part of it starting to dissolve.
"Has she done it?" Igneel once again thought to himself.
Crack.
Mirajane's eyes bolted open and looked down at the piece of black stone as it dissolved.
"I did it.." Mirajane whispered in shock.
"She's done it..." Igneel said aloud in complete shock.
"Yes!" Mirajane screamed as she stood up and raised her hands into the air.
"So.. you've completed the first step. You now posses a dragon take over. Now which one.. I do not know untill you use it." Igneel informed Mirajane.
"Alright.. thanks but I'm gonna wait till tomorrow. I have no magic energy left to use for the take over." Mirajane sighed. She really and wanted to use her new dragon take over.
"Good idea.." Igneel agreed with Mirajane and stretched as he got up for the ground.
Boom!
"Hmm.. Metalicana is finding new ways to play with Erza I see.." Igneel laughed.
"He is?" Mirajane asked as she sat back down in the boulder to rest.
"Yes.. it means she's getting stronger and Metalicana needs a new way to train Erza." Igneel replied back to Mirajane.
"Well.. that's good at least." Mirajane sighed with a smile.
"Yes.. it is. Would you like to go back to the cave?" Igneel asked Mirajane.
"Sure, that would be nice." Mirajane answered Igneel with a sigh of relief. She was really tired from taking over her new take over and wanted to prepare.
"Erza! Mirajane! Igneel! Metalicana!" A soft voice yelled from the cave.
"Hmm?" Igneel muttered.
"Natsu is waking up!" The soft voice yelled again from the cave.
"Natsu..!" Erza whispered and started running full speed at the cave.
"Natsu!" Mirajane yelled and ran with Erza as they went as fast as they could to Natsu.
When they both entered the cave they saw Grandeeney looking over Natsu.
"Is he really... going to.. wake up?" Erza asked as her heart started skipping beats.
"Yes.. look." Grandeeney replied and used her snout to point at Natsu who was starting to stir. His hand was starting to move and his eyes were clenching.
Mirajane and Ezra ran up to him and both sat right next to him. Mirajane sat by his head as she slowly moved his head into her lap and Erza picked up his hand to hold it.
"Comfy.."
Mirajane and Erza eyes widened in shock as they heard Natsu whisper softly.
"Natsu.." Erza whispered and felt her hand that was holding his be gripped.
"Hey.." Mirajane whispered and ran her hand along his cheek to his jaw line as she watched Natsu's start to flutter and open.
"Don't move.." Erza whispered as she kept her voice low for Natsu and tried holding him down as she saw him try to sit up by himself.
"Ow.." Natsu moaned and he rested head back into Mirajane's lap.
"Don't get up.. you're stillhurtl." Erza sighed.
"You should listen to her.. she's right. You might've just woken up from a week and a half's worth of sleep but you still need to rest." Grandeeney informed Natau.
"Ok.. but who are you?" Natsu asked as he tried looking over but Erza was in his eye view of the new unfamiliar voice.
"Her name is Grandeeney." Igneel said aloud to inform him who they were.
"That.. voice.." Natsu whispered as his eyes opened wide. A voice he hadn't heard for years upon years. A voice that belonged to his adoptive father.
"Good.. you're awake enough to realize." Igneel laughed and poked his head over Mirajane and Erza's shoulders.
Natsu's eyes opened even more as he went silent and saw Igneel.
His long search of finding Igneel was over.
Chapter 10... A bit longer then normal and the reunion finally happened. :3
Also you saw the beginning of Mirajane and Erza's training, about dragon and dragon slayer mating, and finally Natsu waking up. :D
Next chapter should be focused on training and the arrival of two other dragon slayers.. ;) oo.. also Natsu's full magic awakening..
Lastly after next chapter.. the war.. SHALL BEGIN!
