Hi everyone, soooo, happy Monday, here's to our last week of July. I'm sorry I've been a little MIA, but please don't be mad? Honestly - this chapter was the hardest, one I've written in a while. I didn't want to let anyone down, it had to be pretty nearly perfect. Even without the computer crashing and my losing what I'd already written . I was pretty pissed and rightly so since I'd saved it.
So quickly, lets get through the house keeping – first of all : Bellatrix my bunny turned four months yesterday! She's on my Instagram (her_pet_toujour) if your interested in seeing her! Goddess I just love her so much!
Lucky you, hehe, I'm still unemployed so I'll still be able to write. However, my friends are coming to see us this week. So I probably won't post anything until next week, here.
Guess what we're actually nearing the end of this story! So I'm getting ready for Book 2, much more #Cissamione coming! ;D (But - I do love a good love triangle.)
A little clarification for one of my readers, Kali-blue : I hope this chapter clears up your question, regarding Narcissa. I touched on this a little in Portrait of Bellatrix Black, but I definitely addressed the issue in this chapter. I apologize for any confusion and I appreciate the feedback. I'm glad your enjoying the story.
I was inspired by two amazing women, in this chapter. Thusly I'm dedicating this chapter to JUJUChick16 for asking for more #Cissamione. (Her request shaped this chapter.) Also to : Its_real_for_us (from Wattpad) who inspired my feelings - so deeply in the way I wrote #Cissamione. Your both are so amazing! I hope y'all will both love it.
Sarah F1992 (Thank you SO much for reviewing . I loved writing scenes between Ginny and Luna in this chapter, I hope you will too. Also - hello from the U.S.A)
Lastly thank you to my beta Emma.
Chapter 10 : Midwinter Night
Hermione stood in front of her floor length mirror spinning back and forth, her smile soft and shy.
"I look incredible" she whispered softly. A blush forming on her cheeks. Will Narcissa notice?
She shook her head as though trying to dislodge these forbidden thoughts.
"Did you say something?" Ginny said looking up from the gorgeous dress, she too was examining. It was still in its box, too awed by the detail to pull it from its sanctuary.
She'd been so excited, mere moments before when the two owls, delivered their big boxes. Each containing two breathtaking gowns tied with shimmering pink ribbons. The owls had happily chirped acknowledging the nuts she'd given them. Now though, as she touched her gown, she felt slight panic, now realizing tonight she'd see Harry.
"No," Hermione said quickly, she couldn't believe she'd spoken. Her cheeks betrayed her words, but Ginny didn't press the point.
"Oh okay," Ginny chuckled turning her attention back to her green gown. "It's so damn silky" she said approvingly.
Hermione turned herself around again, looking at herself from every angle. Now admiring the black gown from every direction and how it accentuated her womanhood. Her heart raced thinking of the beautiful women, who was even now was stealing her thoughts and dreams.
A pair of azure eyes sparkled even in her waking moments as the feeling of her heart fluttering made her gasp. Everything was leading back to her soft smile and the beautiful way her graceful steps roamed her mind. She sighed softly, remembering how Narcissa's arms had felt - leaving her - wanting, desiring so much more.
Ginny watched her slightly vexed, it seemed Hermione at least was excited about this evening's festivities. She scowled shaking her head irritably the dress was lovely but her mind said-Harry and her heart Luna.
"I can't believe the dance is tonight" Ginny moaned "Harry sent me an owl yesterday and said he can't wait to see me!"
Hermione felt Ginny's words were a plunge in the Black Lake at winter, all thoughts of delight and anything between her and Professor Black would be put to a scratching halt by - Ron.
"Yeah," Ginny noticed her best friend's eyes now terrified. "Harry and my brother will be here soon. We need a miracle if you ask me, too bad we don't have any lucky potion."
Too bad in deed.
It had begun to snow again as Narcissa hurried through the drifts toward The Three Broomsticks, if she didn't hurry she'd be late. She'd wasted too many moments in bed this morning. A blush rushed to her cheeks, her heart pounded it wasn't right, it was dirty - immoral, these thoughts.
If her sister ever knew – she'd let her own temptation, heady and passionate, grow. Let herself go - Hermione's name falling from her painting lips; as she was consumed by ecstasy. She'd find a way to punish her : silly naïve Cissy lusting after her student.
How could she face her? Let alone her son who she'd promised to meet. What would he think? Would he be horrified, would he lose all respect for her? Could she ever tell him?
She felt almost sick as she opened the door to the bar, but taking a deep breath she stepped inside.
Ron chuckled as he took out the little bottle from his bag, he'd been hesitant before, but after his conversation with Harry he knew. He was all smiles as he pocketed it again - thinking how this little potion would give them a happy ending. It would be perfect, nothing less than she deserved as he reached into his other pocked. It was still there….the ring.
"Hey smiley!" Harry said jokingly as he examined himself in the mirror.
"What?" Ron said - had he missed something.
"Just remarking how happy you seem" Harry said adjusting his dress robes. It was still some hours till the dance, but he'd taken his robes from his rucksack; to examine them more closely. See if they need any patchwork. He was thankful they didn't.
"Well yes, if you must know." Ron said happily "I've got the ring." He said conversationally.
"Wow, what no kidding?!" Harry did a double take. "Really? So you're going to do it. No backing out this time?"
"Honestly?!" Ron sounded rather cross "It's Valentine's Day, Harry - this seems perfect. So yeah I'm going to do it."
"True," Harry said smirking "she's going to be so surprised."
He turned back to the mirror. Wow - he was surprised, was it true? Had this day finally arrived, his best friend willingly taking this adult step.
"She's going to be enchanted" Ron said rather mysteriously.
"Right" Harry said skeptically "I just hope Ginny will also be happy, to see us - see me."
"Ginny loves you Harry," Ron said rather amused "I mean she's been crushing on you for years. Did you forget?"
"Yeah, okay," Harry responded. Still he wasn't convinced.
"Are you excited?" Maddie asked from the doorway.
Luna looked up from Star who was rolling happily on her bed. A dreamy smile over took, "about the dance?"
"Yeah," Maddie shuffled nervously "no one asked me."
"I'm sorry" Luna said sincerely, as she gave her a soft smile.
"Yeah me too" Maddie sniffed "did anyone ask you?'
"Nope," Luna said patiently "I'm meeting my friends.'
"You're so brave, I'd be too shy…."
"To go alone?'
"Yeah…." Maddie whispered.
Luna felt sympathetic, letting her thoughtful smile play across her lips she leaned forward. "You can come with me."
"Oh yes!" Maddie squealed. "I'd love that."
"I'm slightly nervous about tonight."
"You-why?" Maddie asked, her roommate always seemed so beyond mortal worries.
"I've been hiding my feelings." Luna said carefully. "For someone."
"Really?!"
"Yes." Her smile was sad but she didn't let herself cry.
"Wow-oh Luna -" Maddie looked distraught "he really doesn't know?"
"She" Luna said softly "she-doesn't know."
"Damn, I knew it you are braver than me." Maddie said awe struck.
"There's nothing brave about me, I only love who I love."
"So, but- please - are you going to tell her?"
"She's so happy," Luna said fighting her own tears, she hadn't meant to get emotional.
She'd hoped to distract Maddie from her own sadness, not lose herself as she took a deep breath. "She's with someone else."
Maddie hugged her "I'm so sorry, Luna."
She turned leaving both girls to their own thoughts. There was nothing else to say.
"Well it's about time, mother" Draco said slightly panicked. He stood to pull out her chair for her.
"Thank you my love, I'm sorry Draco," Narcissa finding herself frowning – "I just got caught up" – you definitely did.
Draco fidgeted, he didn't even notice the sudden blush on his mother's cheeks.
He'd been sitting here nursing his hot butter beer, waiting - in fear - for this moment.
He wasn't even sure he could tell her his secret. He'd been unable to sleep, he'd been sick three times and here he was sitting across from his mother. The only person who'd ever shown him a shred of love. If he lost her, he'd lost it all.
She smiled kindly, his heart beat uncomfortably, he felt dizzy – he was nauseous, he couldn't let himself cry.
When had it gotten so hot, he wondered, he shivered – will she still love me?
Narcissa watched her son concerned, he didn't seem well. She reached toward him comfortingly but he pulled away biting his lip.
"Draco?"
"I'm sorry," Draco said drained "I didn't" he stumbled over his words. "I didn't ask you here on a whim, I had a reason."
Narcissa felt the heat in her own cheeks again and blood thundering in her ears. Does he know? But how can he?
"I haven't been honest with you." He said taking a soothing sip from his mug.
Whatever she'd been worried for - or expected it hadn't been that. "Wait what?" she said bemused.
"I've hated myself for so long." His tears threatened to fall, but he brushed them away.
"Sweetheart?!" her voice sounded strained.
"I've been living a lie." He whimpered. "I've let you down."
"No never…." She looked as distraught as he felt.
"Well I'm about too then" he said woodenly.
"You couldn't ever disappoint me."
"Damn it mother!" Draco said smashing his mug down on the table his eyes burning. Butter beer splashed onto his shirt and the table. He didn't care. He was too upset to notice.
"Draco, honestly" Narcissa said cautiously, "relax," we both need to relax. "I'm sure -no it can't be that bad." What has he done?
"It's bad - when father hears, he shall kill me!" His face was chalk white, in contrast to the blood he'd drawn when he'd bitten his lip.
"He'll never lay a hand on you my son" Narcissa said fiercely. "And he's in prison anyway – I've started the process to divorce him. I've taken my maiden name." This wasn't exactly the way she'd intended to tell him but it needed to be said.
He stared her down balefully slate gray eyes reflecting azure blue. He took a deep breath, sighing, I wish I had a little Gryffindor bravery – isn't my life ironic.
"Please Draco" Narcissa said lovingly "tell me, shan't I unburden your mind?"
"Yes," he said sadly "I just can't lose you…"
"You'd never!"
A lone tear trickled down his cheek "I'm gay." He whispered.
Narcissa felt, a smile tug on her lips - he's gay?
"I love you," Narcissa said, she felt herself relaxing. She was so relieved. She wanted to laugh she wanted to cry. Her sweet boy loved men? It was almost endearing, how worried he'd been. It had obviously nearly broken him.
"I love you to mother" he said stunned.
She pulled him into a hug. He didn't resist.
"Tsk," Narcissa mischievously. "Honestly, Draco, you shame me" her eyes seemed more playful than he'd seen in years.
When had his mother seemed this happy? Draco wondered. But she was still talking and she was smiling.
"Sweet son of mine, I only want you to be happy. It's nothing less than you deserve -happiness is a gift that one shan't squander. Don't shun it - if loving a man will make you happy, you already had my blessing."
"I want the same for you" Draco said softly. "Father never made you happy. We finally have a chance at that - happiness" He couldn't hide his grin. "I guess I should go and get ready, we don't want to miss the dance."
Narcissa chuckled, she kissed her son on the cheek and disappeared, she couldn't hide her smile either.
Luna put the finishes touches on her gown, she'd done something completely different, and she was rather proud of herself.
Her reflection smiled back at her from her floor length mirror. Her big soulful eyes twinkled back from beneath her long lashes – framed now by silver eye shadow. Her lips slightly pink, a dusty rose applied to her cheeks. Now she was barely recognizable - she'd never done so much. But she knew her heart's bitter longing.
Her hair enchanted a thousand snowflakes sparkled bewitchingly. Her entire dress was covered with a frosted snow. She'd even taken a page from Cinderella's book, giving herself glass slippers.
"Luna!" breathed Maddie who had just returned common room "you look like the snow queen."
"Thank you Maddie" she said softy "are you ready? Shall we?"
"Yes we shall" Maddie giggled taking Luna's arm.
"Well don't you look lovely" Bellatrix said stiffly.
"Thank you my love" Narcissa said amused.
"So I'll just be stuck here then' Bellatrix whined "while you go having fun without me."
"Guess so" Narcissa smirked.
"Cissy…." Bellatrix said like a petulant child. "Take me with you."
"Aw Bella" Narcissa chided "you know I can't."
"You could shrink me and put me in your pocket." Bella cooed.
"I didn't -no-please Bella- I have to do this alone." She said carefully.
"You just don't want me to have any fun!" Bellatrix said yelling.
"Hush Bella," Narcissa moaned "I can't risk your exposure."
"Not can't – won't Cissy" Bella's mouth now formed an adorable pout.
Narcissa gulped, a blush forming on her cheeks -
"Aw, well nice to see some things haven't changed" she snickered "fine I'll just wait here."
"Yes" Narcissa nodded "I shan't be too long."
Bellatrix rolled her eyes.
"Hurry mate" Harry said, so preoccupied he hadn't noticed the ice that coated the step of the carriage.
"Careful Potter," Draco drawled as he assisted Harry into the carriage. His heart racing as their fingers brushed.
"Oh, um, thank you?" Harry said, rather lost for words. He couldn't hide his surprise at being helped by his childhood enemy. He blushed, but hoped Draco didn't see his confused smile.
"Mmm - you're welcome" Draco said tensely, very much aware that they now stood nose to nose. Perhaps he'd helped him a little too well.
"Um so" Harry said embarrassed, gulping and rather lost in the slate grey of Draco's. "I didn't know you were coming tonight, Malfoy."
"Yeah," he sat pulling the quilt over his knees "it was a little unexpected."
Harry felt his heart skip a beat, damn it. He'd thought he'd given up this infatuation years ago. But here he was sitting across from the guy who haunted his dreams.
"Will Astoria" he said softly "be joining you?" he said trying to maintain an amiable conversation.
"No" Draco said his own nervousness, making his heart thunder painfully in his ears. "We broke up."
"Oh I'm sorry." Harry mumbled.
"Hey" yelled Ron as he struggled to climb into the carriage, his smile faltered when he saw Draco. "Malfoy" he said stiffly his voice judgmental and icy cold.
"Weasel" Draco sneered turning away from Harry and Ron.
Harry sighed so much for keeping things cordial. He felt deflated and confused, no longer lost in Draco's piercing eyes. He didn't even notice as the carriage continued to fill and slowly move through the village.
"Look Harry!" Ron said joyfully. Harry looked where his best friend was pointing.
He couldn't help but smiling himself, "we're almost home" he whispered upon seeing the castle rising high on the moors. It stood ablaze through the softly falling snow.
Ginny and Hermione stood at the top of the grand staircase both girls hearts' thudding painfully as both secretly knew tonight would change their lives.
Hermione squeezed her best friend's hand trying to give her the comfort she so desperately wished for herself.
Below them the banister was covered with green garlands and roses, they both could hear the strains of the orchestra wafting from the Great Hall. Hermione felt tense, how could she possibly be in a dress that only - Bellatrix could pull off?
"Well, I guess" Hermione whispered to Ginny.
"I guess" Ginny said back her heart racing.
Slowly, Hermione began her careful steps down lifting her skirt so she wouldn't trip. She couldn't remember being this nervous even at the Yule Ball. Everything was becoming painfully clear who she really liked – wanted – desired- she just had to get through the night.
She was so lost in thought, she didn't notice Harry and Ron arriving in a wash of snow but Ginny did so and as did the boys.
As she stepped off the final step, her path was blocked; looking up she was met with two gorgeous soft blue eyes. Her breath caught in the back of her throat and she struggled to say something.
"Ms. Granger" Narcissa said equally stunned completely lost once more, Hermione was unabashedly gorgeous.
"You look absolutely stunning" her cheeks burned, why did you say that?
"Thank you Professor Black" Hermione whispered "As do you."
Did she just say I was beautiful –Hermione's mind screamed.
Narcissa looked down slyly - did Hermione just give me a compliment?
Narcissa daringly took her hand, curtseying and placed a kiss on her hand and Hermione nearly swooned.
Ginny's eyes and mouth were agape, standing on the stairs - she sincerely hoped Ron hadn't seen that. She inwardly thanked Professor Black for the distraction. For just the briefest of moments, she hadn't been nervous.
"Ginny" Harry said as he pushed through the crowds entering the Great Hall. "I've missed you so much."
So much for my nerves – Ginny thought frustrated. She tried to smile as Harry enveloped her in a hug, sighing and begging the goddess for help she returned it. I do love you - I'm just not in love with you.
"Mother?" said Draco a second later, his voice laced with surprise.
Ginny looked over Harry's shoulder, oh so he'd noticed the exchange.
Narcissa turned from Hermione, a blush blooming on her cheeks, "oh Draco - I didn't see you" she said blind sighted by her son. Shit! He saw - He most definitely saw.
Hermione noticed Harry and terror was forming in here eyes.
"He didn't see" Ginny whispered in her ear.
As Harry lead Ginny away, Draco felt like he'd been punched in the gut but he attempted to give his mother a mischievous and reassuring smile. So it seems we both still have secrets.
"Mate over here!" Ron yelled as he saw Hermione, Ginny and Harry.
"There you are, Harry said chuckling "I thought I lost you."
Ron did a double take, Hermione was more beautiful than he remembered. He was so captivated he didn't notice he'd spilled pumpkin juice on his robes. He'd definitely made the right choice, the now empty bottle in his pocket, he was going to sweep his girlfriend off her feet. And if he got lucky, maybe right into her bed. He smirked.
"Wipe that expression off your face, Ron" Ginny said. Somehow she knew exactly what he was thinking and it sickened her.
"Well hello to you too" Ron said rolling his eyes. His little sister wasn't going to ruin his good mood. "I got everyone punch" he said.
"Uh thanks" said Hermione, her heart was still racing and her blood singing through her veins. She quickly downed it feeling only strangely woozy for a second.
Ginny followed suit, feeling less tense at once. Harry drank his down and then strangely forgot he'd come to the dance to see Ginny. All he could think about was Draco. -
Hermione frowned, now more than before she wanted to find - Narcissa.
Ginny noticed Luna entering the Great Hall, she nearly choked on her punch.
Ron smiled happily at his friends waiting for someone to speak, and when none did he chuckled. "Hermione, would you like to dance?" He asked.
"Actually Ron," Hermione said blushing "I need to go find Professor Black, I realized I forgot to tell her something concerning my senior thesis." She gave him a sympathetic smile.
"Can't that wait? Mione?" He said.
"Um no-sorry" she quickly hurried away.
"Harry?" Ron said frustrated "what do you make of that?"
"Shut up Ron" Ginny said "you know everything takes a backseat to her studies – don't try and change her."
"Butt out Ginny" Ron gripped "I wasn't talking to you."
"Well, she's got a good point" Harry said thoughtfully. "I actually call me irresponsible-need to go talk to Malfoy," he looked toward Ginny apologetically. "Save me a dance?"
"WHAT?" Ron barked "Malfoy, we hate Malfoy."
"You hate him. I don't" Harry found himself saying.
"I'll just go see Luna" Ginny said giggling, "it's okay Harry," and she quickly left the table.
Ron found himself sitting by himself rather miffed. Something must be wrong with that potion, it was supposed to give his friends the ability to act on their hearts' desires.
Since when was it Harry's deepest desire to talk to Malfoy? It didn't work on Ginny all she did was run off to see Luna. Maybe, he realized it worked too well on Hermione. Her studies always seemed to get in the way, if her deepest desire was to spend the evening with her professor talking education, instead of spending it with her boyfriend.
"Luna" Ginny said reaching for her best friend's hand "would you like to dance?"
Luna turned then seeing Ginny her eyes lit up. "Oh I'd love to my Ginny."
Ginny thought she'd might faint, her heart was fluttering and she felt awkward but suddenly more brave then she'd ever imagined. She slowly wove her fingers with Luna and lead her out onto the dance floor.
What am I doing? I'm supposed to be talking to Harry. -
Luna wrapped her arms around Ginny, was she dreaming – if she was she realized she'd accomplished a lot, this is what dreams are made of…..
She was completely captivated, lost and Ginny's smile was all she could see.
Around and around they spun, both their gowns shimmering and shinning – Ginny dipped Luna playfully and Luna laughed with delight. Never had either girl had so much fun. When had she learned to dance so well Ginny wondered. The waltz was absolutely stunning and dancing below the thousands of candles made Ginny want to sing. If there had ever been a doubt, there wasn't anymore - I do believe - she thought. - I do believe-I'm in love.
She used a spell to lift Luna into the air, every single candle caught her now sparkling gown as she looked down into Ginny's eyes so filled with joy. What is happening?
As she pulled her beloved closer, she whispered in her ear "I love you Luna," as she dipped her again she softly touched her lips to hers.
Luna's eyes closed, I know I'm dreaming, her heart fluttering, she was lost in Ginny's perfume, her lips and the music that brought her to life.
I just kissed Luna! Ginny's mind yelled as her heart pounded - fighting herself not to deepen the kiss.
When the dance was over, her forehead pressed to Luna's she blushed. "I um…..I need to go." Upon seeing her best friend's hurt, she quickly added "it's not what you think. I love you."
As Ginny hurried away, Hermione came up beside Luna.
"Oh Luna," she said mischievously "I don't think you have anything to worry about."
"Mmm" Luna said dreamily.
"Ginny definitely likes you!"
"Wait?" Luna said shaking her head thoughtfully.
"I'm not dreaming?"
"Oh Luna" Hermione said smirking. "No you're not dreaming."
"Ah" Luna said nodding, still quite confused.
"Anyway - I just thought you should know." Hermione said laughing.
I should be mad - she didn't tell Harry - I should be worried Harry saw - I should be worried about Ron - but I don't care. It was absolutely the most adorable thing I've ever seen. –
Nothing about tonight made any sense, but she shrugged and quickly disappeared when she noticed Narcissa leaving the room.
Narcissa's heart was racing, her body alight with fire and her mind muddled. The horror, just one glass of punch and she'd kissed Hermione's hand. She'd lost herself in front of Draco, she was unbelievably upset and tears threaded down her face. She couldn't remember ever being this embarrassed, what was she playing at? No one so loving, so pure and innocent, could hope to love a women like her. No only Bellatrix had ever loved her, could ever love her.
She'd wandered from the Great Hall opening the door she'd rushed out into the softly falling snow. She wasn't cold, but she shivered all the same. The wind was so soft and gentile against her hot skin, the snow melting against her porcelain cheeks. It swirled around her gown, a rich elegant ruby against her ivory completion, her lips as scarlet as her cheeks. Her long blonde hair which had moments before been gracefully falling down her back. Now kissed her skin with a provocative and teasing delight.
She wished for Hermione, it wasn't only Bella's name that resided in her heart. How had this happened? Did she love Hermione? No this can't be. -
"Malfoy!" Harry called, following the young man from the hall.
"Potter?" Draco turned, slowly revealing a mischievous smile.
"Where are you going?" Harry asked curiously.
"I was actually going to find my mother." Draco said tersely "not that it's any of your concern."
"Oh I'm sorry" Harry looked down dejectedly, what had possessed him to follow Malfoy. He felt humiliated, hurt and confused he turned to leave his hand in his pockets.
"Nah, it's fine," Draco surprised himself. Spending any time with his crush would lead to his ruin. All the same he couldn't help but smile. "I must be feeling charitable, giving you a piece of my valuable time."
Harry rolled his eyes, "well I appreciate it" he said carefully, trying be overly excited.
He might have once been torridly attracted to this devilishly forbidden Adonis, who stood before him. But still he couldn't trust him completely. Malfoy was a snake, he'd bite if provoked.
"Honestly" he said almost kindly "I need to find her."
"Wait -I don't know if this helps, but Hermione wanted to find your mother too."
Draco worried his lip, drawing Harry's attention immediately, his blood rushing to places he was shocked by. His face was turning redder by the moment.
"Mmm, maybe."
"She left the Great Hall ten minutes ago" Harry stumbled over his words.
So perhaps Granger has a thing for my mother too. I'm not sure how I feel about that….but well I can't judge.
Sighing, he cleared his throat "I guess I can find her later – care to share a drink with me?"
Harry's mouth fell slightly open. Why is he being so nice to me?
"Don't look so surprised" Draco laughed "I merely asked to share a drink. Not to marry you. Honestly Potter what does your girlfriend see in you?" He heart was pounding painfully – am I flirting with my childhood crush?
Harry looked equally stunned by Draco's words as he quickly closed his mouth with a searing pain, he'd bitten his tongue.
"Well move it, don't make me regret being friendly" Draco said teasingly.
Harry followed, perplexed as Draco headed for the punch bowl, his own cheeks flushing.
Ginny felt sick, the punch had made her stomach churn painfully. Still she needed to find Harry immediately, this couldn't go on (he needed to hear the truth.)
She spotted him by the punch with Draco Malfoy, nearly tripping over a passing elf with surprise. So he'd actually successfully gotten Draco to talk to him? She wasn't sure if this amused her or irritated her.
"Harry" she said urgently "I really need to talk to you."
Draco looked up, his empty glass in his head, his head felt fuzzy and disconnected. He thought he should get out of the way, Harry's girlfriend seemed angry. He didn't need to wonder why.
"Can it wait Gin?" he asked perplexed, she'd barely shown him any attention in weeks. Now, suddenly she wanted to speak to him? Why didn't he care more?
"Uh – no," she actually looked apologetically at Draco "it's really important. I'm sorry.' She had tears in her eyes now, "Harry this can't wait."
"It's okay" Draco said nodding, his heart breaking "go I'm tired of this anyway." He felt he utterly faint, he needed to go outside, he needed clean fresh air.
Harry rounded on Ginny "that was kinda rude" he said frowning.
"I know and I'm sorry."
It was her tears that stopped Harry cold. He couldn't stay mad, honestly, he was grateful she wanted to talk. They obviously needed to.
He gave her a weary smile "okay come on, let's find a quiet place to talk."
Hermione pushed open the door, her heart fluttering wildly, her mind screaming warnings she quickly ignored. She knew she shouldn't have left Ron – it was selfish. She'd promised herself for Ginny's sake -she'd watch him. But one glass of punch all reason had gone from her mind. She was completely lost to her own desires.
She wanted Narcissa more than she'd wanted anything before. Even those dreams that plagued her onyx eyes – those lips that haunted her memories couldn't stop her. What she ached for was Narcissa and every nerve ending was crying for her touch, she couldn't hope to resist.
She nearly swooned as she found her in the softly falling snow. The thousands of candles lighting her soft frame and drawing Hermione closer.
Hesitantly, shyly – carefully - slowly she laced her hand with Narcissa's looking up into her sad eyes. Her pulse quickening, painfully.
"Cissy?" she whispered.
"Hermione?" Narcissa gasped.
"Are you okay?"
"I don't…..no…I don't think so." She berated herself for being honest, she tried to pull away but thought better of it.
"Can I help?" please let me help…..
"No." Her voice came out as a sob. "Hermione, no one can."
"I want to" Hermione said self assured brushing away her tears. "I want to more than anything."
Narcissa looked down lost in the innocence of brown and such devotion it melted her heart of ice. "What I want, I can't have." She said softly, her voice lost to the breeze and snow.
"What do you want?" Hermione said trembling a blush forming on her cheeks.
"I want ….." Narcissa said achingly "I want you."
Hermione couldn't believe what she'd heard, is this a dream?
Slowly Narcissa pulled Hermione into her arms softly she brushed a stray hair from Hermione's face. She'd never felt more shy in her life.
She's holding me - Hermione wrapped her arms around her neck, looking up into her eyes pleadingly. I need you I want you too….
"May I-" (oh please say yes) she needed to ask, she couldn't assume Hermione felt the same.
"Oh yes" Hermione whimpered, "please Cissy….yes."
Narcissa smirked her heart fluttering, feeling the wash of lust threatening to claim her. She captured Hermione's lips in a searing kiss. A soft moan fell from Hermione's lips, fueling her desire as she deepened the kiss. She suckled softly at her bottom lip, and the young Gryffindor submitted immediately.
She thought she might faint as Narcissa's tongue tangled with her own, she was drowning in the feeling. She was so unforgettable, this feeling intoxicating completely lost – completely new and reborn. Never before had she felt such aching - such wanting – her own body demanding to be claimed.
There it was again, the image of a canopy bed in The Room of Requirement and both women moaned at the thought. Narcissa guided them back against the door, pleading with the goddess - it wouldn't open. Hermione's hands in Narcissa's hair, the cold snow kissing their skin like fire. Lust leading the way, Narcissa found her fingers pulling up Hermione's gown, bunching it in her fist. As she found her soft touch – puling a throaty whimper from her Gryffindor, her eyes fluttered shut and she moaned in delight.
All the same she pulled back, Hermione's eyes nearly made her gasp, so dark and filled with lust. She had to stop, this couldn't happen here, her mind was muddled and her knickers painfully wet.
She sighed frustrated.
"Cissy?" Hermione eyes pleaded, but she steeled her resolve.
"We can't, please understand" her own eyes asking for forgiveness.
Narcissa turned her heart breaking, her tears freezing on her cheeks, a sob threatening to break free - she disappeared into the school.
Hermione stood confused and alone. She'd never felt so cold in her life.
Oh no cliffhanger lol :)
By the way Emma and now the girls who's stolen my waking and sleeping dreams form me - inspired this #Drarry - I wrote it for them.
If anyone has any requests, after reading this chapter please (pm) me here or on Instagram. I'm happy to hear from everyone. I have a really cute scene coming up with Luna, I won't give to much away but it's directly related to chapter I loved in Harry Potter. :D
I hope everyone has a wonderful week! ~ Cissy
