Chapter 9
Christi's prov.
'Man for cat treats, these smell amazing' I purr out. Putting down my little burden as I watch Kaito runs around, setting up my cat stuff (and ignoring him stating the obvious, yes I know the litterbox is in the bathroom, where else are you going to put it, the kitchen?).
"There all set and ready for use" Kaito states proudly, almost posing in the middle of the living room, before he glances at the clock, "Shoot its almost time!" he quickly strides to a large picture frame that, to my shock, pops open.
The click of a lock going back into place nocks me out of my shock. 'Kaito has a secret door? And late for what?' puzzled I pad over and examine the frame closely, noticing a few places that look just a shade off to be part of the original frame. 'So that's how to open it, it has switches.'
With a bit of time, struggling and clever use of my new toys I got the picture open, purring I quickly climb in before it shut again, seeing a plethora of gadgets, clothes, and other mechanical parts. Going deeper in I find Kaito in a very familiar outfit staring at blue prints of what seems to be a high class hotel. "Kaito is KID!" I yowl in surprise startling Kaito.
"Hahaha, looks you're the first detective to find out KIDs identity Tenshe, how did you manage to get in here? I'm sure I closed the door." Kaito asks grinning. He scoops me up and places me on the table he is using as a desk at the moment, allowing me a better look at his plans (a surprising amount of physics were needed). As I calmed down it hit me, THIS WAS HIS NIGHT JOB! I have nothing against the thief work (if you can call it that, he never keeps anything) KID does, I have been to a few of his shows as a bystander, I see nothing wrong with helping him out but how did he end up crossing the MIB?
I try to puzzle this out in my head, I watched Kaito put a few more notes in the margins of the hotel plans. 'First things first, I need to help regardless of how he got involved, this is my only lead so far'. Getting up I stood over the plans and meowed at him.
"What's wrong Tenshe?" Kaito asks as no matter how many times he moved me I quickly get in his way. I quickly pat the plans then grab his monocle, (ignoring his hissed careful and grabby hands) holding it in my paws I put it on as best as I could and meowed.
Kaito's prov.
'Just how smart is this cat, it's almost as if she's human' I think stunned as I watch Tenshe wear my monocle. "You want to be a Kaito cat huh Tantei?" I grin recovering quickly, already adjusting my plans to fit in my furry little friend.
"Purrow!" Tenshe puts down my eye wear and jumps on my shoulders.
"Your amazingly smart for a cat Tenshe, so I know just the part you will play", I purr out scratching out some of my notes and adding new neko flavored ones.
As I read out her part Tenshe started to purr and after I explained everything she sounded as loud as an engine." Now we only have one thing left to do" I smirk at Tenshe, having her stand on a relatively paper clean area.
"Merrow?"
"Dye your fur" 'poof'
"rowl!"
