GodofGreed: I'm back!

?: Be creative, that's how you started the last chapter.

Chará: Burn!

Percy: *rubs his eyes* Speaking of burns…

GodofGreed: Sorry about that, it was a spur of the moment kind of thing.

Percy: It's all right.

Analytē: This is a quick update.

GodofGreed: Well, I want to write right now. By the way, a lot of people asked why Apollo can't just tell if Percy's telling the truth or not. The answer is that Apollo has never tested his powers on a specter of a powerful AI before, so he doesn't know what to believe.

Apollo looked at Poseidon, "We have to retreat." When Poseidon looked at him in shock, Apollo continued, "I'm not going to risk three demigods' lives for this! Call it a tactical retreat if you must, but Percy-" he stopped at Poseidon's glare, "*sigh*- he's letting us go. It's rare for monsters to let their prey go. (AN: Rare, as in it's happened before. That may be important later. Or it may not, I haven't decided yet.) We shouldn't test his patience, especially since he could easily kill those three."

Poseidon looked furious, but managed to spit out, "Fine! We'll leave." He turned to look Percy in the eyes, "You've won the battle. We'll leave."

Percy shook his head, "It's not that simple, I want you to swear that you will never return, send anyone here, and will do everything in your power to prevent anyone or anything that has connections with the gods from coming here. This deal includes swearing to fight anyone who tries to come here. Do we have a deal?"

Both of the Olympians looked annoyed, Poseidon more than Apollo, but after a few tense seconds, Apollo answered, "You have my word. I, Apollo, swear on the river Styx-"

"No."

The word wasn't shouted, but it caused both gods to look at Percy in shock, causing him to continue, "To my knowledge, the majority of promises on the river Styx have been broken. Swear upon something else." (AN: It's true, just look at the Big Three. Zeus and Poseidon forced Hades into the whole 'no more kids' thing and Kronos knew of the prophecy before The Last Olympian, which means someone from Camp Half-Blood told him. I doubt that Chiron just told everyone, so whoever knew (probably Luke, I'm just saying that he's the obvious choice) swore upon the river Styx not to tell.)

Apollo and Poseidon both had an equal amount of shock on their faces. Apollo asked, "What do you want us to swear it on then?"

Percy's smirk sent shivers down the Olympians spines, "The Fates themselves."

If the gods were mortals, they would have heart attacks at what Percy just said. Apollo's eyes were open so wide, it looked like they should have fallen out. Poseidon's jaw dropped, and he stopped moving for a few seconds.

Poseidon was the first to regain his composure, "No one's ever sworn on the Fates before! Are you mad?"

Percy shook his head, "No, I'm perfectly sane, not that you care. I won't take any chances, swear on the Fates, and you can all go home."

Apollo and Poseidon looked at each other, looks of contemplation covering their faces. Apollo turned to Percy and said, "I swear on the F-Fates to meet your demands." Percy turned to Poseidon and asked, "Well?"

Poseidon looked like he swallowed the world's sourest lemon, "I swear on the Fates to meet your demands, but I don't like it."

Percy nodded, "Understood. Now go, leave this place, and never return." Before either god could reply, Percy shot a smoke-like substance at Thalia, Annabeth, and Mark.

The smoke-like substance picked up the three unconscious demigods. They were picked up like they were awake. (AN: Standing up straight.) They started moving towards the ladder under the gods' watchful eyes. When the unconscious bodies reached the ladder, they started floating up.

Everyone in the room jumped a bit when they heard a muffled scream, the gods glared at Percy, who just looked confused.

Percy disappeared into a large quantity of the smoke-like substance, and then the gods were alone.

Apollo turned to Poseidon, "What were we fighting?" Poseidon answered, "I have no idea, let's just get Athena and leave." (AN: Did you forget about Athena?)

Athena watched as the screen said that all of the files were finished being copied to the flash drive. She sighed as she tried to forget what she saw a minute ago.

"Athena, time to go."

She turned to face Poseidon and Apollo. She nodded her head, "The files have just finished being copied, but why the rush?"

The two gods she was talking to looked pained for a second, faced each other, Apollo made a 'go ahead' gesture, Poseidon sighed, and began explaining.

Athena and Apollo checked over the unconscious half-bloods to see if the smoke-like substance did anything else besides carry them to the bridge.

Apollo turned to Poseidon, "They seem healthy, a bit dehydrated, but besides that healthy. Not the worst ending to a quest."

Poseidon looked down, "It's definitely not a good ending. Percy's possessed by a powerful unknown monster, we can't come here ever again, and three demigods were beaten by dehydration of all things."

Athena spoke, "All of that is true, but we did gain something very important."

When the other Olympians turned to her, she continued, "We gained this." She held up the flash drive that contained all of the files on the supercomputer, "With this, we'll be able to tell what we're up against. The quest to bring Percy Jackson back has only just begun."

Extra

Athena was watching the percentage bar move. She sighed, 'This is so boring. I almost wish something sporadic would happen.'

Suddenly, Athena heard a noise coming from behind her. She turned around to see Annabeth, Mark, and Thalia (AN: In that order) ascending, and then floating towards the stairs.

Athena was silent in shock until they left the room.

And then she screamed.

GodofGreed: That was a quick update and a short chapter.

?: Very short.

GodofGreed: Don't make me go Edward Elric on you!

Chará: Who?

GodofGreed: The main character of FMA and FMAB.

Percy: You're getting off track.

Analytē: If I'm not in the chapter, why do I have to be here?

GodofGreed: You're comedic relief. Remember everybody, reviews make me happy, and when I'm happy, I write more.
