It was around nine thirty in the morning when Korra woke up and groaned when she turned over and the light blinded her. She turned over to see Naga sound asleep next to her on her queen size bed. Slowly Korra started to pet her dog and rubbing behind her ears.
"Naga it's time to get up." She told her four legged friend. The dog raised her head at her master before flopping it back down telling her it wasn't time to get up.
"Okay fine don't get up then." Korra said before swinging her legs over her side of the bed and getting off. She walked to her closet and pulled out a black tank top and some black jeans with undergarments and made her way to the shower. Turning the water dial to the correct temperature to her liking, she stripped of her PJ's and stepped into the shower.
Twenty minutes later she turned off the water, wrapped her body and hair in a towel and stepped out the shower. The young woman washed her face and brush her and then her phone started to ring. She sighed and answered the phone trying to sound cheerful as possible.
"Hello?"
"Hey Korra."
"Hey Mako what's up?"
"I have some really big news."
"What?"
"Wendy Williams wants up to come to her show on Monday and do an interview and performance in California."
"OH MY GOSH! When do I need to pack?"
"Now the flight leaves in an hour. I'll be picking you up."
"Okay see you then. Bye."
"Bye." This was amazing. Wendy Williams wanted her to perform on her show! She was going to do her first performance on her favorite show! Quickly she got dressed into her tank top and jeans before slipping into her black sweater and packed her suitcase and walked across the hall to ask her neighbor to watch Naga for the weekend, of course she agreed.
Kora then slipped into her flats and blow dried and curled her hair; before tidying up her apartment and waited for Mako.
This was amazing! For one she could finally go to California and do a performance on her favorite talk show, plus meet Wendy Williams in person! That was three things that she could cross off her buck list in a single week.
Soon Mako came to her apartment, picked her up and headed to the airport.
The flight from New York to L.A. took five hours and then another hour to get out the airport with everyone taking pictures and wanting everything to be signed. Finally the two stars made it to their rental SUV and headed to the Four Seasons Hotel that they were standing at.
"I'm so excited!" Korra said. Mako smiled at her as she looked out the window, smiling at the busy life of L.A people. She looked at peace, so calm and relaxed like a five year old on their first trip to Disney World.
"And so beautiful." He said. The blue-eyed looked at him with a small smile before turning her attention back to the city.
"Is this your first time out of New York?" he asked after a few moments of silence.
"Not really. I grew up in the south of Georgia. When I moved to New York right after high school with no backup plan. The only things I came with was my dog Naga, my college money, and my guitar."
Mako nodded in understanding and thought back to when he and Bolin were homeless, with nothing but Pabu and their talented voices.
"We're here Mr. Anderson and Ms. Williams." Their driver Oliver told them.
"Thank you." Korra said before following Mako out of the SUV and into the flashing lighting of fans waiting in front of their hotel.
A/N: Hey guys! Long time no type. Lol, horrible pun I tried to make. Anyway I made it a goal of mine to finish these stories before the year is over. Plus my friend Diamond4Lyfe and I are thinking about making a Bad Girls Club parody on Avatar the Last Airbender. Yes, no, maybe so? Tell me what you think.
Peace and love and great job class of 2016!
