I look over the edge of the cliff into the water. The waves splash against the cliff side, almost up to reaching where I stand.
"Hey, Melody," Emma says walking up next to me, "Are you okay?"
"What's it like to swim in the ocean all the time?" I ask, still looking out at the water.
Emma sets a hand on my shoulder, "It's amazing; my favorite is swimming with dolphins. We can swim together. I can help you overcome your fears."
I smile at her. I turn and follow her down to a beach that usually unoccupied. We go into the water. We swim for what feels like hours; the water is so magical. Light shines off of schools of fish who swim near the surface. Other fish swim near us, and we even see some cute crabs shuffling at the bottom. I wish I could swim in it forever. We're lucky and don't run into any sharks.
Emma and I off on the beach and walk around. After a while, Emma goes home. I'm left alone walking on the beach, but that doesn't last long, as Nate walks up to me.
"Hey."
I smile at him, "How are you?"
He gently takes my hand, "Better now. Have you been swimming since I found you?" I nodded, he sighed, "You shouldn't. I just mean, it's not safe. You got hurt last time, and if I hadn't been there you could have died. Just don't go alone, okay?"
"You worrying about me is cute," I say. Then I kiss his cheek.
He smiles at me. "How about we head up to Rikki's and get you something to drink?"
I smile, nodding. I go and sit at a table while Nate goes and orders. Zane walks up to me and sits down.
"Hi," He says, "How's Rikki?"
"She's alright," I answer, "Why did you keep asking me about Rikki?"
"You don't know? Rikki and I recently broke up."
"Oh, that explains things."
As Nate walks up, Zane stands up and walks away.
"He wasn't bothering you, was he?"
"No," I say as he hands me my drink. We sit and talk for a while, before I kiss his cheek and go home
AN: Do you think Melody tells the girls about Nate? Does someone else tell the girls about Nate? Do you think that Nate is to be trusted?
