A/N: Yay, surprise there my darlings and sweethearts! As a Halloween special, I've typed something real short here. We shall now go back to where it all began. Enjoy :D

Disclaimer: I own nothing! Except for the plot haha

The claim that Arthur Kirkland was the Student Councillor that one would not want to cross paths with would be accurate right to the very 'T'. Preceding him was Finnish Tino Väinämöinen with all of his gentleness and materialistic traits, lending him the title as the most caring president of the student council of all time. But that was not exactly the path Arthur Kirkland wished to follow. Order and routine encapsulates the Kirkland reign. Given the position at a mere age of sixteen was a remarkable feat, seeing that the norm was to give the position to a senior. One would think that Arthur would choose to mirror what Tino did to earn him extra popularity and brownie points. However, Arthur presented none of the sympathy or empathy that Tino epitomised in. He was harsh and strict in discipline matters, resulting in the dissent he had earned over the past three years.

"Have you heard? A new student from America has transferred over!" The noisy chatter in the classroom was beginning to infuriate Arthur as he focussed on his book. Of course he knew that there would be a new student coming over. In fact, he could proudly say that he was the first to be notified, given that there were logistic and administrative matters for him to settle. Anyway, new students are a common sight, so there was totally nothing to be excited about. In fact, due to his busy schedule, he had not even looked through the file the principal had passed him. Instead, he passed it to Honda Kiku and instructed him to take the lad around the school without him, seeing that he had a dormitory inspection to attend to earlier on.

"I hope that it's a girl," the boys whistled appreciatively as Arthur rolled his eyes, thinking: No luck to you then. From as much as the principal had told him, the American was sadly a boy. Apparently some people also caught wind of the news as Arthur heard a girl exclaimed.

"Oh silly, haven't you heard? It's a boy! No luck to you!" the girl's shriek was rather ear-shattering as she continued mooning over the still non-existent American.

Arthur on the other hand took out his ear piece and connected it to his phone, blaring his music away. For some reason, he could not comprehend the normal typical adolescents his age. All they talk about was boys, girls, common gossips, complaints about various teachers, complaints about him and his strict rules, what to eat for lunch and what was the latest trend in the fashion magazine they had just read. Why was there nobody who actually showed some concern over their grades? Francis had told him that he was too uptight. But Arthur begged to differ. He came to school for an education. If he wanted such a social life, he could have jolly well stayed at home. His brothers could provide him with all this ruckus and entertainment that is common in school. Well, that's to say, the ugly part of the entertainment in school, to be more exact.

"I heard from a friend that he's transferred over to play for our football team! You know what, he is really hot," the same girl continued as the girls around her giggled uncontrollably while the boys jeered sourly. It is simply amazing how he could still hear them despite his loud music that Arthur just gave up and removed his ear piece and kept his phone.

"Oh dear Lord, Rebecca, how do you even know every bit of news around the school?" One of the girls queried, and made Arthur thought of the same thing as well. Yeah, how does that girl get information about everything?

"He's a friend of my friend, that's why!" the girl called Rebecca answered. "Guess what, I'm so gonna get this guy. Look, my friend sent me a picture of him!"

Arthur's hands was itching to confiscate the phone the girl was waving around, but according to the rules, as long as lessons had not formally started, students can use their phones to check for any messages. Arthur knew this very well, since he was the one who fought for the change in the previous stringent rules regarding the usage of mobile phones in class. However, that girl was starting to annoy him as she flaunt around with her phone and that tad bit of information she possessed. The classroom door opened and in came the teacher, Mr. Curtis, followed by Lovino Vargas, who looked really sulky for some reason.

"Class, settle down. We have many things to cover today," Mr. Curtis said as he banged on the board with the board duster. "Mr. Vargas, get to your seat. I hope you do consider what I've talked to you about earlier on. Now Ms. Smith, please keep your phone, unless you want Mr. Kirkland there to confiscate it."

The Rebecca girl turned to the back where Arthur was sitting and gave an "oops" before stuffing it into her bag and smiled sweetly at Arthur who kept his face blank. The whole class had also turned behind to look at him, some smirking, and some winking at their friends. Arthur knew what was going through in their mind. It must be the usual crap about the rules and regulations.

"Okay, from the commotion in the classroom earlier on as I stepped in, I take it that you guys already know about your new classmate. Please welcome, Mr. Alfred Jones."

The door opened again, and in came Kiku who brought a tall blond boy in. As the boy walked, Arthur could tell that he oozed confidence and self-awareness. He was well-built, and was blessed with a mop of sun-kissed hair. However, the first thing that came to Arthur's mind was the fact that he was not properly attired. Despite the fact that he was wearing the school uniform, Mr. Jones had apparently donned on a bomber jacket that was unfortunately not within the given dress code. Arthur was about to stand up and remark about his attire, but a voice in his head that sounded strangely like Francis hissed: Arthur Kirkland! Give the boy some slack. This boy was just here for what, a couple of seconds and you want to reprimand him for his attire?

That sort of suppressed Arthur's urge of wanting to spout his mouth off and start reciting the dress code to the new boy. First impression, he told himself as he looked at Kiku who seemed to sense his disagreement with the new boy's attire and was giving him an apologetic shrug.

"Hello! Please to meet you! I'm Alfred. F. Jones and Freedom is my middle name!" That earned the blond boy an appreciative laughter across the classroom. "Just kidding! I hope to be friends with all of you! I love math and physics, and my ambition is to be a hero!"

That introduction speech immediately turned Arthur off as he rolled his eyes to himself. He was still rather bothered by the bomber jacket to carefully give the American a once over. But judging from what he said, Arthur was about to banish him to the group he associate naïve jocks to be in.

"Careful there, Freedom Jones, if you want to lead a peaceful life here, I would suggest that you remove that jacket of yours. You wouldn't want to offend our Student President here." The next thing Arthur knew was the finger of the girl from earlier on (heck, he doesn't even care to remember her name) pointing towards him, and the most beautiful pair of sky blue eyes staring at him in wonder.

Arthur Kirkland, age eighteen, has never ever believed in that Shakespeare shit on love at first sight. But it looks like he would have to eat his own words, because he had just fallen in love with those sky blue eyes.

A/N: Hope you guys like it! And no, Shakespeare ain't shit haha. So I have some time on my hand to type something real short tonight and thus the birth of this short chapter. Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it! We don't do it here though. So no pumpkins, no costumes, no candies. But we do have those haunted houses haha.

This is the last update I'm going to make before I really settle down to focus on my exams which is unfortunately starting on next Monday and ending at the end of next month. Wish me luck! I'll need all of it :') Thanks for those who have reviewed, followed, and added this story to your favourites! Love you guys and have a nice weekend ahead. Till next time!
