Chapter 9:

Lina, along with Natalie, dashed to Peter's study after hearing word of this so called 'meeting' that his royal highness wanted everyone to be in attendance for.

"I just don't get why he would want all of us in the same meeting I mean the other royals, of course, Hannah, maybe. But us? I mean really? I have packing to do!" Lina complained.

"Maybe it has something to do with your fight with Hannah? Which I, personally, think is idiotic, isn't it usually you and I that get into fights and Hannah breaking them up? I mean I love her, she's my sister but that girl has about as much backbone as a jellyfish." Natalie stated staring at Lina.

"You're right. It was a stupid fight, but seriously? She was spouting some rubbish about how 'something bad is going to happen and you positively cannot go to Calormen'. Really? Does she actually think that one, I would be so stupid as to put myself and possibly this country in danger and two, that our friends would send me into a different country without the knowledge that I would be perfectly safe?" Said Lina rolling her eyes and shrugging her shoulders.

"I just think she'll miss you. You know how that girl gets, plus when was the last time the three of us were apart for more than a day?"

"Well she could have just said she'd miss me!"

Rubbing her temples Natalie replied, "Can we please just drop it? She went about it the wrong way- big deal; all this drama is giving me a migraine."

"Fine." Lina answered as they came to a stop in front on Peters study, hearing the argument going on inside.

"I just have a really bad feeling about this; you saw how Herend treated Lina at the ball! What gives us any reason to believe he's changed?!" Hannah had been pacing back and forth across the floor of Peter's study for the last twenty minutes worrying about the meeting and praying she could change Lina's mind about leaving Narnia.

"I know you're worried for Lina's safety, love, but there really isn't a need to be. Herend's older brother has assured me that he'll be away for most of the time Lina's there- we wouldn't be sending her if we didn't know that she was safe." Peter attempted to soothe her, rapping her in his arms.

"It's not just Herend though Peter!" Hannah exclaimed, staring up at the king, "Demetria is there too! You know as well as I do that she blames Lina for her and Edmunds courtship falling apart!"

"Love, you're making a mountain out of a molehill. What harm could Demetria, the weakest most self-centered girl I've ever met, possibly do to hurt someone like Delina?"

"I don't know!" the girl cried. "She has social pull! She could do everything to turn the Calormene people against her! I'm only saying that this sounds like a very bad idea. You can't blame me for being concerned can you?" Hannah sighed and sat on the edge of Peters desk looking dejected. Sitting next to her Peter also sighed/ wrapping his arms around her, saying, "I think this 'bad feeling' you have is the fact that you're going to miss Lina so much, and that you don't want to spend five months apart from your best friend."

"I suppose." Hannah murmured. "Maybe I am overreacting, I'm sorry." she stated leaning her head on her courtier's shoulder.

"Maybe I'm not the one that needs apologizing to love."
