A/N: Hey! I know, this is a bit late, but I had this giant test at school, and one of the ponies tried to kill me... Anyway, here you go! Next update as soon as absolutely possible :)

As always, thanks to my awesome beta, Art3emis (did I write that correctly? Hope so. My head ain't working)

Btw, don't know if I've told ya, but I don't own Sherlock or anything. BUT LUNA AND LUCI AND JO AND THIS STORY ARE ALL MINE! Mwahahahahahaha!

Chapter 9: Cookies

As we approached the Holmes' residence, my mood became darker and darker. I was tired, my legs hurt like hell, and I had to take care of Luci and play with Joanna. And while the two last things normally were fun, they would now be awful because of the two reasons first mentioned. I sighed as the car stopped, clumsily making my way out once I had my crutches at the ready. Still, I would've fallen if Molly hadn't been smart enough to go over to my side. Luckily she caught me in the last second. I thanked her as I got my feet beneath me again.

"Luna!" I heard tiny feet running towards me. However, they never reached me. I looked up to see Sherlock with his hand on Joanna's shoulder. She seemed confused as to why she wasn't allowed to go hug me, but didn't protest.

"Hey," I said weakly with a small smile. "Have you had a nice day?"

"Yeah!" she beamed. "Daddy let me help prepare food for Ma... Malilu... Luci."

The way she tried to pronounce Luci's full name was adorable. "Malicious Lucifer". Inspired by both his mother's name, Malou, and his devilish appearance and behaviour. Of course, "Luci" was a lot easier. It wouldn't do to go around shouting for Malicious Lucifer. Can you imagine yelling that every time you need his attention? Yeah, exactly. Too many syllables.

"I've done all the work as far as I know," Sherlock explained. "But I haven't ridden him. I hope you don't mind I groomed him, though."

I could've kissed him right there and then (though that would've been VERY awkward and weird). "Thank you. I hope he didn't make too much trouble." I yawned silently and shook my left leg, considering taking off the dark blue sneaker painted with references to my favourite books and TV-shows, as well as (what a bomb) horses. I was tired to my bones, but I didn't want to let Joanna down.

Thankfully, Molly read my thoughts. "Hey, Jo, what do you say about making some cookies we can eat after dinner? We can make those good ones with different fillings." She glanced at me, and I sent her my oh-my-God-you-are-an-angel-look.

Joanna seemed torn between her decisions, but eventually nodded. "We'll make some with raspberry and chocolate, so that Luna can get better soon. But she's yawning, so she must sleep. Doesn't she sleep at night?" Her voice dropped. "Is she a vampire?"

I snorted. "No, Joy, I'm most certainly not. If I was, I'd have eaten you already." She giggled when I used the nickname I'd come up with for her. Then she skipped up to me, her cute little pink dress flowing behind her, and gave me a hug before taking her mother's hand and dragging her along. Molly brushed her other hand over my cheek and kissed my head gently before going with her laughing daughter.

Sherlock's eyes were flicking back and forth as he looked at me. I knew he was doing his deducing-thing, so I simply waited while he read what he needed. Finally he blinked and returned to the world of the living.

"Always that bad?" he smirked, though there was a flash of worry in his eyes. I sighed and stretched my left foot.

"Almost. Has been a lot worse." I yawned slightly, stumbling towards the house. Sherlock swooped towards me and picked me up. I whispered a quick "thank you" and put my arms around his neck after clicking my crutches away. He carried me inside as I leant my head on his shoulder. His dark, curly hair smelled like cinnamon, horses and, well, Sherlock. "What's the clock?" I mumbled.

"Half past three. Dinner in a couple of hours. For now, just sleep." Sherlock carried me all the way to my room, opened the door and put me down on my bed. I made a tiny noise and moved, but he held me gently down with his hand. "Shhhh," he whispered. "Go to sleep. You need it."

Well, I couldn't exactly protest to that, so I reached up and pulled him down in a hug with a small "thanks". He smiled, ruffled my hair fondly and left. He let the door stay half-way open, and I could hear the sounds of them all; Jo's laughter, Molly's sweet voice and Sherlock's deep one, and a lot of noise as they all went around the kitchen, cooking and baking. As I fell asleep, I could smell something chocolate-y, and two hours later I was woken by Joanna skipping into the room with a tiny tray of chocolate and raspberry cookies in all shapes.

A/N: ...Review? Please? I especially wish for constructive critisism, so that I can improve my writing :) No flames, though!

See ya later!
