A/N: A little detail on the timeline that won't appear in the text but might help to make sense out of this: John's last letter dated from five years before Sherlock read it.

Disclaimer: You recognize it, I don't own it.

Warnings: None. Oh, and it's still Persia ^^

Enjoy :)

Dear Jo-Ham,

I'm still waiting for your letter. What happened to you? It's been five years since I wrote to you, so my only option now is to bet on a short reincarnation cycle, analogous to my last one. This unpredictability is still getting on my nerves.

Do you remember the University of Babel? The one that was famous for its linguistics and history chairs? The Apocalypse practically erased the place. I sent two expeditions and even visited it myself. After so many years only deformed ruins remain, but somehow there is something else. I stumbled on an abandoned crypt. No one had been there for a hundred years at least. It was a sort of a sanctuary… My knowledge of religions is still rubbish. I wish I could send you an image, or simply have you by my side; the investigation would go so much quicker!

I guess I found what your Mayan "friends" called heirlooms. It's a booklet, clearly from our era. It was perfectly preserved, and the paper quality corresponds to latest years of our age. It's written in sea language. However, I concluded that it's got nothing to do with Atlantis. As you certainly recall, there was another country which used the sea language. The Empire that fell to Black Spider.

The contents of this booklet were quite disturbing. It stated ground rules for those who join the Organization, as they call it, and gave a quick overview of their plans. Nothing we didn't know already however. I believe that more complete documents were taken away.

Taking in account the approximate age of the crypt and the long-run nature of written plans, I venture to say that a part of Persian ruling class had been corrupted for a very long time. I am still not of age to approach them without raising suspicion, but my informants are supplying somewhat useful information. But no sign of a plot of a bigger scale yet. They must have at their disposal means that a loner like me can't acquire. Honestly, it is frustrating. One life isn't enough to change anything!

I need the information you dug out. I need your opinion. There is too much data, sometimes I feel like drowning.

I hope to hear from you soon.
