The days seemed to pass like molasses for the Dukes on account of the farm just didn't feel the same without Luke but the Dukes didn't give up hope that they would be whole again one day.

Meanwhile in Atlanta at the Rehab center Luke Duke was just starting to wake up from a nice long nap and at first he didn't really know where he was or who he was for that matter.

Luke slowly started to wake up and then he started sitting up in bed and tried his best to wake up but he was still having alot of trouble trying to get the cobwebs out of his head.

Meanwhile Luke's nurse was making her way into Luke's room to give him his morning shower and then after that it will be time for Luke to have his speech theraphy.

" Good Morning Luke you sure look very happy this morning I sure hope you had a good night so are you ready to take your morning Shower ?".asked Shelby

Shelby had a little trouble lifting Luke off the bed and into his wheelchair so she had to get a nurses aid to help her get him in the chair.

Then Luke and Shelby made their way down the hallway to the bathrooms so Luke can take a shower and Luke began to blissfuly laugh as drops of water hit him in the face.
as Shelby started scrubbing Luke with the sponge she couldn't help but notice his nice tan body and his big muscles she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him.

" Well Luke I'm gonna be gettin' ready to wash your hair now okay so why don't you close your eyes okay ". said Shelby

So Luke at first was a little confused so she figured she would show him and then he noticed and then he did it himself unfortunately she managed to get some in his eyes anyway.

And he started screaming on account of it burned and so she started wipeing it out of his eyes and then once they were done she got out a towel and started drying him off.

Once Luke stopped dripping water he was then dressed again in his shirt , jeans, boots, and then she started wheeling Luke to the speech therapy room where Jeff was waiting.

" Hello Luke are you ready for some fun we sure is gonna be having some today". said Jeff

But unfortunately Luke just gave Jeff a blank stare and didn't really know what to say so he just smiled .

" Thanks Shelby I think I can manage from here see you later darlin ". said Jeff

So Jeff got out the word sheet and he asked Luke he started going over some word's which made no sense to Luke on account of he didn't really know anything at the moment.

" Well Luke can you say " Puddle ?". asked Jeff

" Pud... Pudd.. Puddle ". said Luke

" Good now can you say Cat ?". asked Jeff

" Ca .. Ca .. Ca.. C..Ca. C..C.a..Ca Cat". said Luke

" Good you sure are making progress but unfortunetly you still have quite a ways to go ". said Jeff

" Now I want to see if you can spell your name okay try and write out your name ". said Jeff

So Jeff handed Luke a sheet of paper and pencil and told him to try and write out his name but unfortunetly all that managed to come out were little scribbles which made Luke angry.

So he picked up his pencil and he threw it across the room and he then started tearing up the paper and he threw it the trashcan and started to pout and frown.

And Jeff figured he would try and cheer Luke up by letting him finger paint and so he gave Luke the finger paint and told him to try and paint a picture of his family.

Meanwhile in town Enos tailing those two hoodlums that had caused Luke to have his accident and he was trying to stay as far away as he can so they can't spot him.

" Dang their is a cop behind us and if he catches us we is gonna be spending the rest of our days behind bars for causing that boy's wreck." said Parker

" Well then c'mon buddy hit it I don't wanna go back to jail hit it we can't let him catch us the boss we will kill us ". said Russell

So they hightailed it and tried to lose Enos around timber top acres but unfortunetly they they was going too fast to notice a tree until they crashed right in to it.

" Well today must be my lucky day I done caught me them hoodlums that had caused Luke to have his accident I'm gonna get me a raise for this!. said Enos

So Enos walked over to the bad dudes car and he held his gun on them and ordered them to get out of their car and to put their hands up in the air and then he slapped the cuffs on and took off.

Meanwhile Jesse, Bo, was just now arriving for their visit and they was all smiles they couldn't wait to see Luke Bo was really happy he was missing Luke something awful.

Dr. Macdonald happend to be standing at the nurses station reading over Luke's file when he saw Uncle Jesse and Bo come in and so he figured he would go over and talk to them.

" Morning Jesse , Bo I bet y'all is anxious to see Luke ain't ya well don't worry none we is taking good care of him". assured doc.

" Well thanks doc yes we would really love to see Luke we do miss him very much and we can't wait to bring him back home where he belongs". said Jesse

" Um.. Mr. Duke if you don't mind I would like to chat with you and Bo in my office before you go and see Luke to go over his lastest progress.

So Bo, Jesse followed the doctor into his office to go over Luke's lastest progress and they prayed that it would be good news they could take Luke home soon".

" So far Luke has shown some good progress in speech therapy mind you it is slow though he still can't say certin words yet but he is getting better ".

" We haven't yet tried him yet to see if he could walk but we are going to do it eventually , unfortunately for the time being he will have to wear diapers.". said Doc

" But Doc when can we take Luke home we really want to take him home soon we really need him back home it ain't been the same without him". said Bo

" Look I know how very frustrating , miserable this can be on the injured person's family but unfortunately Luke still has a long road to go but he will recover and be good as new". assured doc

" I am trying to make y'all understand that Luke ain't ready to come home yet he still needs alot of help and he ain't himself yet ". said Doc

" When will he be I don't know how much longer we can make it on our own without him he needs to be around his "FAMILY". said Jesse

" Recovery can take anywhere between six to 8 weeks so he really needs to be here for now but he will be able to go home soon ". said Doc

So as Jesse, Bo was talking to the doctor meanwhile in town Enos was just now arrving at the police station with them two bad dudes that had caused O'l Luke's wreck.

" Alright you two get into this cell and I want to know now who is y'all working for that wanted Luke Duke hit by a car.

" We ain't tellin' you that he would skin us alive and then have us for breakfast ". said Parker

" Well fine then y'all can wait until the sheriff gets in and then you can tell him !". said Enos

" Right like that dummy of a sheriff is actually gonna be smart enough to arrest us for the crime when he don't even know we done it ". said Parker

Meanwhile a strange black car was pulling into town and man wearing dark shades stepped out of the car and he had an evil grin on is face ".

" So this is where Luke Duke lives that boy sure is gonna pay for the pain he caused me I am gonna enjoy this ".

" I ain't too sure about you friends but I got me a bad feeling that things is about to heat up and for the Dukes that could be a bad thing ".
