Thanks for all the reviews they make my day by a million! Yes, I have no social life.
That night Monica stayed with Chandler; in the arms to where she belonged. As she lied awake that night she wondered what the next morning will be like when they set to leave for New York. She told Chandler everything and he made her promise that whatever their parents thought and no matter how they took them being together they will still be together.
If only their parents knew the real love that they had for one another behind all the stress and work they put forward.
Chandler glanced over at Monica in the front seat of his car, on their way back to New York. They were just down the street of Chandler's family business. He quickly parked the car and sighed. Stepping out, he hurried to the other side and opened up the passenger door taking Monica's hand in his; for her to follow him inside and to his office.
Heads turned and eyes watched as the bosses son led the enemies daughter through the halls.
Without a word Chandler grabbed a few boxes from the storage closet across his desk before going to pack up his things.
"What are you doing?" Monica asked standing just a few feet away, concerned.
Before he could answer someone walked in "Bing, what are you doing back?" An employee who saw them come in, asked.
"I'm getting my things." He said simply answering both his and Monica's question.
He shook his head "Well you better hurry up because the boss is coming." He said before leaving the doorway
Chandler put a few books in the box before his dad showed up. "Chandler?" Charles Bing said confused, then he saw Monica Geller standing off to the side "Can I speak to you in private?"
"Whatever you say in front of me you can say in front of Monica."
Charles sighed
"That's ok..." Monica spoke up, feeling the tension and very uncomfortable in the room "I'll just step out."
Right as she did she heard them arguing and shouting at one another.
"You cannot just bring Jack Geller's daughter into this office and expect everything to be normal-"
"That is not what I expect!" Chandler shouted
"Things aren't the same anymore. Things have changed." He raised his voice "And on the other hand you got her pregnant! Do you know how that makes me look?"
Monica stood on the other side of the door with tears in her eyes as everyone stopped, over hearing the commotion inside the room.
"How that makes you look?" Chandler shot back angered than ever "Are you really that low that in order for you to look good I have to look good? When have you ever cared about my life and my choices?" Chandler raised his voice "I don't want you to come near my family-"
"Family?" Charles laughed "What family? That girl is not your family. She is your enemy." He said coldly
Steam was rising inside of Chandler's bones. What was it he wanted to hear? What was it that would make this rivalry between the two of them go away?
"Get out." Charles said firmly
Chandler was both shocked and broken by those words he thought he would never hear from his father. The man that wanted Chandler to take the same footsteps as him.
Charles couldn't make eye contact with his son as he spoke. "I don't want to see you with her. And if that is the choice that you want to make then I don't want to see you either." He spoke calmly but firm right before he fled the room. Stopping short when he saw the whole floor near the door quickly going back to work, then a half broken girl up against the wall.
Charles looked at her briefly with sad and concerned eyes before they went back to anger. Then he left.
Chandler's hands rested on the desk top as his head bowed low, looking down to the floor. Sighing, he stood up straight and went to the other side of the door to retrieve Monica.
She tried to wipe the tears away but they just kept coming, too fast that it wasn't worth fighting anymore.
"I love you."
Those words were the only words she needed to hear as Chandler pulled her into an assuring hug that told her nothing could stand in the way of their love. It was them against the world.
He pressed his lips against her head ever so gently "More than anything."
"What about this one?"
Chandler glanced over "What's it say?"
"Three bedrooms, two baths, nice open view..." Monica read from the paper that night as they both lied in bed next to each other.
"That sounds perfect." He smiled and closed his side of the paper "Upper East Side?"
Monica shrugged
"Anywhere, as long as I'm with you, is home to me." He kissed and pulled her into his arms. "I just want to build a happy family." He softly rubbed her stomach where the small egg was growing that very moment.
Months went by and Chandler was by her every day helping her when she needed him.
They moved into their new home just thirty minutes away from their friends and all the family businesses. They both knew that they didn't want to raise their baby boy in a family rivalry and so they left them. Neither Monica nor Chandler has spoken with their parents since.
"Honey do you have the bag?" Monica asked as they were set to leave for the hospital in just a few minutes.
"Yeah." He brought it down from their room, all full of things Monica may need during her stay.
She squeezed her eyes shut one more time as a small contraction hit.
Chandler hurried to her side until it was over. "You still have another month to go. We need to get to the hospital." He put his hand on the small of her back as he helped her to the car.
"Chandler, what if they can't stop them?" She asked worrying.
He glanced over at her "No." He rubbed her hand that rested on her huge bump "Don't worry, everything will be fine." He kept telling her "This baby will be healthy."
He tried to keep her calm as they got to the hospital and in to see Dr. Long.
"So you are having contractions, Monica?" She asked as she put on two rubber gloves.
Monica nodded
"Dr. Long, is there any way to stop them?" Chandler spoke, standing at Monica's side.
"It depends. How long in between each contraction?" She pulled up a chair and felt around underneath Monica's gown.
"Twenty minutes." He answered for her
She nodded "Monica, tell me if you feel any pressure." She continued to feel
She shook her head trying to concentrate on the movements. "Oh.." Doctor Long stopped, she brought back her hand
"Okay, we can stop these contractions but I'm not sure if they will hold off for the next month." She took off her gloves and gave Monica some medication.
A week has gone by since Doctor Long stopped the contractions.
Monica jerked up in bed as a sharp pain hit her lower abdomen. "Oh God..." She started to breath heavily as she felt the same pain she felt a week ago, but stronger. "Chandler." She tried to shake him awake. "Chandler, I'm having a contraction." She told him through the pain she felt again. They were closer this time and she knew that the medicine wasn't going to help matters.
Chandler rolled over and sat up at the sound of Monica's panic.
She squeezed her eyes shut "It hurts."
He didn't have time to wake up fully as he jumped out of bed, grabbed her shoes from the closet and brought them to her "Put these on." He rushed over to grab his shoes.
Once he put them on he saw that Monica was struggling. He went to help her then they tried to hurry downstairs and to the car.
"You got the bag?" She asked getting into the passengers seat.
Chandler ran back inside and grabbed her bag by the front door.
"Okay, Monica, I'm going to need you to push harder this time..." Dr. Long encouraged
She took a deep breath before pushing with all her strength.
Chandler held her leg apart from the side and kissed her forehead "Come on Mon, you can push harder."
"UGH...!"
She stopped at the sounds of a cry.
Lying back against the bed Monica had a smile on her face.
Chandler kissed her cheek "You did amazing." He grinned from ear to ear. "He looks perfect, all ten toes, all ten fingers.." He counted as the nurse handed him the new born baby boy. "He's perfect." Chandler whispered again as he rocked his new son in his arms.
"Do you have a name?"
Monica looked up at Chandler "Parker," She smiled "Parker Bing."
Chandler smiled
"That sounds beautiful." The nurse wrote it on the bed.
Later that day Ross and Rachel came in the hospital to see Monica and the new baby.
"Where's Chandler?" They asked when they walked in and didn't see him.
"He just went to put the car seat in the car. We can't take him home until we do." Monica answered looking over at Parker who slept in the incubator. Seeing that no one else walked into the room Monica knew that her parents weren't coming. A part of her knew that they wouldn't, but another part of her wish they would have stopped by. They're her parents. Parker's grandparents and they weren't here to congratulate her.
Rachel went over at looked at the little boy "How much does he weigh?" She asked seeing him tinier than she might have imagined.
"4.2 pounds." She answered "He is under weight since he is premature. They are having him stay in there until the actual date comes."
Rachel nodded "You named him Parker." She smiled, looking at the name tag.
Monica matched her smile and nodded "Chandler really loved that name."
Ross, who was quiet up until this point, spoke "Did you give him Chandler's last name?"
She looked over at her brother and nodded slowly "I did."
Ross stayed quiet.
"He's the father, Ross." Monica stated "He deserves his son to have his last name."
Rachel knew that Ross wasn't completely fond of Monica going out with Chandler. But she was happy and he is trying to be happy for her. She already lost the respect of her parents. She couldn't lose her brother too.
All heads turned when they saw Chandler walk through the door.
"Hey, guys." He smiled, friendly.
"Hey, can I speak to you outside for a minute?" Ross asked already making his way towards the door.
Monica watched him nervously, not sure what he was going to say.
Chandler glanced at Monica then Ross before walking out the door.
"What's wrong?" He asked, shoving his hands in his pockets.
Ross stood there looking at Chandler in front of him "You going to marry my sister?"
He hesitated for a minute or two before answering the question "I was going to, yes." He paused "Just not here, not..now. There is too much going on right now that I want to focus on Parker at the moment."
Ross nodded "Are you going to treat her with respect."
"Yes, of course." Chandler stood up straighter "She means the world to me. Her and Parker."
Ross nodded "I like you Chandler, it's just hard seeing her with you."
"I don't blame you. You grew up having the thought of me being the enemy all your life. You have the right to feel a little paranoid." He said truthfully
"Thanks for always being there for her. You are going to be a great dad." He smiled "Congratulations."
Chandler grinned "Thanks."
Chandler stayed every night that Monica stayed. The weeks went by and Parker was getting healthier and stronger.
When they were able to head home all their focus was on Parker and making sure he grew up healthy and happy. They were all happy. He learned so much over the year that taught both Monica and Chandler more about parenting.
1. Don't leave the baby unattended.
2. Picking up the baby when crying, will lead to clinginess.
3. Make sure the baby is done peeing before changing their diaper.
4. When starting to walk, you need another hand.
5. When starting to walk, you need baby proofing things.
6. When starting to walk, longer naps.
7. The baby sleeps, you sleep.
8. Don't leave anything breakable in reach.
9. Ice cubes make good distraction toys.
10. Don't leave Chandler alone with Parker.
If fail, remember step 10.
Their anniversary of Parker's natural birth Chandler proposed to Monica.
A little rushed but you get the point. Please review if you can and the next chapter will be up shortly.
