Summer break was here. Students were chattering about their plans ahead of time. Some had to take summer classes, some planned to just enjoy it to the max, while others preferred to work part-time for money.

Yue was no exception.

"Sorry, I can't join you." Mayuzumi sat in front of Yue in the library while she's browsing the internet on her laptop for some part-time jobs.

Yue smiled, without even turning to him. "Can't be helped. You're busy with your own university preps."

"So, have you decided on which job to take?" Mayuzumi asked when Yue closed the lid of the laptop. Her head resting against the chair as her eyes planted on the white ceiling.

"Yep."

It was almost a dream. Yue pinched her arm, slapped her cheek and pulled her hair – all for one purpose – to make sure this was the reality.

A bad reality.

"Yue-chan!~" His hair was flowing along with the air-cond rush as he came running towards her. The she-male – Mibuchi Reo was smiling vibrantly.

"Eh?! Akashi's chick?!" The Hercules spoke rather loud.

Yue had a bad feeling about this. Two Uncrowned Generals also worked here?! Oh wait. If she'snot mistaken, weren't there's another one of them?

"Reo-neeeeee!~" A childish voice made her turned into whote stone statue. "I'm done arranging the table." Hayama still didn't notice her, until his hand accidentally swing and knocked her back.

Yue almost fell, but a pair of arms caught her first.

"Kotaro." An icy tone freeze Hayama on his spot.

"EEEPPPP!" Kotaro went pale. "I'm sorry. I didn't see her!" He bowed apologetically non-stop, like a broken machine.

Yue tried to get up, but Akashi's grip on her was firm. The other three who instinctively knew they were just spectators of a soap opera, began excusing themselves silently.

"Yue." Finally Akashi helped her get up on her feet.

Yue nodded. "Thank you." She mumbled softly but enough for Akashi to hear. "You...also work here?"

"Yes. Just to make sure the three, especially Kotaro didn't do anything that would taint the club's name."

As strict as ever – Yue thought. Hayama was what – 17 years old! He should be able to take care of himself.

Until both of them heard glass shattering noises from outside the room.

Akashi sighed. "Get what I mean now?"

"I'll go get the broom."

The four of them were busy with arranging the flowers, folding the napkins, and putting the plates respectively according to their use on the banquet table.

Today's function was to raise fund for an orphans who lost their family in plane crash.

"Say, Yue-chan." Mibuchi was still arranging the forks and spoons for each seating. "Why do you work here?"

Yue didn't stop from folding the napkin into a swan either. "It's close to my place. What about you, Mibuchi-senpai?"

"Akashi said this is to discipline us."

That one sentence gave Yue enough hint. Akashi forced the three of them to work.

"Are you going to run?" Mibuchi glanced at Yue from a corner of his eyes. "Because of Akashi?" He whispered the last part, seeing how Akashi was standing about ten-meters-radius from them. He was fixing the tableclothes and made sure every utensils were arranged accordingly.

Yue smiled. "I'm a pro, Mibuchi-senpai."

Mibuchi was feeling warm. That's because he knew, if Yue ran from him, Mibuchi and the rest will suffer the consequences.

Mayuzumi was waiting outside of the backdoor of the Legends Hotel. He just done doing revision with his study group.

The phantom looked at his watch. 10pm. About time.

Yue and him agreed to walk back together since they're both finishing late. Even if Mayuzumi finished early, there's no way in hell that he would let her walked alone at this kind of hour.

"Chi."

Mayuzumi turned around to meet the owner of the voice, but his eyes met the gaze of another person instead.

"Chihiro."

Akashi was standing beside Yue. Not close, but not enough gap to show they're not either.

"Akashi."

Words were exchanged through their eyes. Neither was willing to turn away from the other.

"Let's go, Chi." Yue pulled Chi away, but not before bowing to Akashi. "See you tomorrow."

When Mayuzumi and Yue had arrived in front of Yue's house, Mayuzumi asked Yue what was on his mind earlier.

"You're okay?"

Yue patted his head on her tip-toe. "I'm fine. I'm a pro."

Mayuzumi just nodded. "Then, I'll see you later."

Yue stiffened. "About that..."

"What?"

"Akashi said he will walk me home."

"What are you trying to say?" His tone still flat, but anger was hinted in it.

"But...you''re...early...had to wait..." Yue's words were jumbled. "I don't want to trouble you." Yue said after Mayuzumi's gaze were pressuring her.

"Do you think I would do this if I didn't want to?" Mayuzumi glared down at her. His voice was irritated. "We've been together long enough and you just said you don't want to trouble me now?"

Yue couldn't lift up her face to meet his gaze. She had really woken up the sleeping dragon now.

"Kirisaki Yue. If you don't want me anymore, just say so. Don't go creating that lame excuse."

"That's -"

Yue was about to explain herself, but Mayuzumi's glare forced any words she had on her tongue to remained there, unspoken.

Those eyes...

Without any more words, Mayuzumi disappeared into the night, leaving Yue to herself.
