Bomberman New Generation

Chapter 10: Majestar, Part 1

After teleporting, the group was in a mechanical place and surrounded by machinery. "We've come to Majestar," Bomberman told everyone, "and this part is Megadeth Bypass. There are cannons on some of the paths here, so watch out for their bombs." They all traveled across a few paths, carefully avoiding the bombs that shot from the cannons.

"Since this planet is just a bunch of machinery, I wonder if the Hydrilia are even here," Blue Bomber said after everyone passed the last path, "I don't think there are any life forms living here that they could find."

Red Bomber stopped suddenly. "I just had a frightening thought. Doesn't that mean if the Hydrilia are here, that makes us a target?"

"You're right," Bomberman replied, "Let's be prepared to fight any Hydrilia we might see."

Suddenly, there was a commotion not far away. "What's that sound?" Bomberman asked.

"It's coming from over there!" Black Bomber answered, looking behind himself. Everyone turned around and ran to where the sound was coming from. They stopped a large cage and gasped at what they saw. Inside the cage was a large group of Reptilia, which included multiples of each of the six types.

"It's a group of Reptilia!" Red Bomber exclaimed, "Are they someone's pets?"

"How could anyone keep so many pets?" Bomberman said.

"Says the Bomberman with over 50 Charaboms," Blue Bomber replied.

"They're not pets," Prof. Tento said, "Someone must have captured all of them and has been keeping them in this cage! I think I know who it is, and I'm sure he has an evil purpose for keeping them."

"That's awful," Black Bomber said, "We have to set them free!"

While everyone worked on unlocking the cage, they noticed Lunayo talking to one of the Lunar Reptilia in the cage. "Re, re?" Lunayo said. Lunaya, are you okay?

"Re, re! Re re re!" the other Lunar Reptilia replied. I'm fine, Lunayo! I've been protecting our two eggs!

"Lunaya? Two eggs?" Red Bomber said, "Oh, I get it! Lunayo and that other Reptilia-I mean Lunaya-must be in love!"

"If their eggs hatch, two more wonderful Lunar Reptilia will be born," Prof. Tento said, "How exciting! But first we must get these Reptilia out of this cage! Don't worry, Reptilia, we'll get you out of there!"

Eventually, they managed to break the lock and open the cage. All the Reptilia eagerly left the cage and gathered around Bomberman and his friends gratefully. "Re re. Re re re!" Lunaya said. I'm Lunaya. Thank you for rescuing us! Two small orange eggs with yellow spots were in front of her.

"We're glad to see you're all safe," Prof. Tento said, "Now you must go on ahead to the teleporter on this planet before the Hydrilia or Dark League members find you. Lunayo, you go too, and make sure Lunaya and her eggs stay safe." All the Reptilia nodded and started moving.

"Do you think they'll be all right?" Red Bomber asked.

"They should be," Prof. Tento answered, "I think the Reptilia that were captured know their way around this planet, and I know they'll do their best to escape."

Just then, there was another commotion. A large group of Hydrilia came running toward the adventurers. "Hydrilia stampede straight ahead!" Blue Bomber exclaimed.

"Baglion, stop them with ice!" Bomberman said. Baglion shot a beam of ice. The Hydrilia in the beam's path jumped out of the way and kept running. "Try again!" Bomberman said. Baglion shot more beams of ice, but the same thing happened every time. "What?! Why aren't they giving up?" Bomberman said.

"They must be getting more persistent because we're getting closer to stopping their invasion completely," Black Bomber said.

Baglion kept shooting beams of ice, but they all failed to scare off even one Hydrilia. Soon Baglion grew tired, and the Hydrilia were getting close. "Leafy, protect us!" Prof. Tento said. Leafy used her barrier ability to surround everyone with a protective shield. The Hydrilia pounced but crashed into the barrier.

"Pommy, give them a shock!" Bomberman said.

"Myuuuu!" Pommy used electricity to shock all the Hydrilia, which then ran away.

"Phew, that takes care of them-for now," Red Bomber said.

"Are you okay, Baglion?" Bomberman said to the furry grey Charabom, who had been tired out.

"Baglion," Baglion answered. I'm fine.

After a short distance, everyone came to a roomy, mysterious elevator, which closed its doors and started to move when they entered. Inside, they found the group of Reptilia running back and forth, trying to escape from a member of the Dark League. This member had black fur and brown eyes, and she was trying to send blasts of sparkles at the Reptilia.

"Hey! Leave those Reptilia alone!" Bomberman called out.

The Dark League member looked back. "It took you long enough to get here," she said, "I was wondering if you were even strong enough to get this far, but it appears you are. Or are you just lucky? Either way, I predict that neither your strength nor your luck will overcome my magical powers. Prepare yourselves to fight me, Loron, in the fiercest battle of your life!" Loron's body sparkled as she spoke.

"Her power is magic," Bomberman said, "so Electric moves should work well against her. Pommy, it's your turn!"

"Myu!" Pommy jumped in front. His cheeks sparked with electricity as he prepared for battle.

"Pommy, Electroshock!" Bomberman said. Pommy leapt into the air and used electricity, sending it at Loron. Loron noticed the attack and evaded it by teleporting herself to another part of the elevator. "What?" Bomberman said, "How did she do that?"

"She seems to have the power to teleport," Black Bomber replied, "We'll have to be quicker than she is, White Bomber!"

"All right, then," Bomberman said, "Pommy, keep trying to shock Loron, but when she teleports, aim at a different spot!" Pommy sent bursts of electricity at Loron when he could see her, but she teleported every time. Finally Pommy aimed his electricity at the spot she teleported to, and she was shocked.

Loron was not finished yet. She stood back up, and then Pommy and she both glowed. Pommy was lifted into the air. He struggled to get away, but it was no use. "Oh, no! Loron has a move that works just like Mapoja's Psycontrol!" Red Bomber exclaimed.

Loron sent Pommy flying, but Bomberman caught him. "I've got you!" Bomberman said, "Are you okay, Pommy?"

"Myu myu," Pommy nodded.

"Then let's try a Thunder Attack!" Bomberman put Pommy on the ground, and then the pink Charabom ran quickly at Loron while electricity surrounded him. Loron teleported just as Pommy came near her. He stopped and looked around for her. "Don't give up! Keep trying, Pommy!" Bomberman called out to Pommy.

Pommy changed direction and ran toward where Loron had teleported to. Loron created a glittering barrier in front of her that stopped Pommy's attack and threw him back. "Myu!" the Charabom shouted as he tumbled backward.

"Pommy!" Bomberman exclaimed. Then Pommy stood back up, so Bomberman knew he was ready to continue the fight. "Pommy, use Thunder Head, and use it at full power!" Pommy stood on his head for a moment, sending waves of electricity across the ground. Loron could not escape and was shocked by the electricity. Now she was weakened but not yet defeated. She slowly got back up.

"Let's use Thunder Bombs," Bomberman told Black Bomber, Red Bomber, and Blue Bomber.

"Right," the other Bombermen agreed, and all four Bombermen each threw a Thunder Bomb at Loron. Loron saw the bombs coming and sent out a wave of magic that sent the bombs back at the Bombermen and their friends.

"Look out!" Bomberman shouted, and everyone jumped out of the way of the bombs.

"It's time to finish you off!" Loron growled. Her body sparkled again and she charged up an enormous amount of magic power.

Bomberman and his friends backed away in fear. "W-what are we going to do?" Blue Bomber said.

Just then, the doors opened as the elevator reached its destination. A Big Bomb came from one door and hit Loron, causing her to stop the attack and fall to the ground. "I can't believe this…" she said, and then she disappeared into sparkles.

Bomberman and his friends looked at where the Big Bomb had come from and saw a familiar figure standing at the door. "It's Max!" Bomberman said.

Max turned to leave and looked back. "You were the one who was going to be finished off, Loron," he said, and then he left.

Everyone knew it was time to continue on, so they left the elevator, with the group of Reptilia following.
