Chapter 10 Finding Azazel's Children

"Dean, we have to figure this out," Kae said after the twentieth lead hadn't panned it out.

"We really should stop before Dad figures it out."

"Sammy will lose her. Do you want that to happen?" Kae demanded.

"No."

"Okay but, we have to figure something out soon. I can't hide this much longer. Sammy's getting suspicious. He swatted me yesterday when I showed up at the football game and was talking to all of the guys. The girls were easier, because I just told them you were wondering," Kae said smiling brightly.

"So that's where you went," Dean said with a little anger in his voice.

"I left you a note."

"That's why I didn't spank you."

"So where did you go last night?" Kae asked.

"To a place called 'none of your business'."

"You saw a chick last night," Kae teased.

"What I do in my private time is my business," Dean said blushing slightly. "Anyway you promised to stay home."

"But I had a feeling and I decided to follow up on it," Kae said with a shrug.

"You should've called," Dean said.

"And interrupt you? No way. But anyway, I called Ash and all of Sammy's friends are clean?"

"Ok, who's next?"

"I don't know I'm outta leads," Kae said sadly.

"Kae, I need to know the truth. Are you using your abilities?"

"Kinda. I just can't ask people when and where you born."

"So how do you get them on the topic?"

"I asked them what grade they are in and where they grew up. Most think about their birthday and places from their childhood. You know what we do next."

"I don't want you to use your abilities anymore."

"I don't have a choice," Kae pleaded.

Dean sat down and put his head in his hands. Kae sat next to him and asked,

"Do you have another way we can do this?"

"Nope and to make matters worse, Dad called and is coming back on Tuesday. We have to figure this out."

"Even if we figure it out Dad's gonna move us."

"Or beat our asses for trying to find the person."

"Well, if he figures that out, we're going to get our asses kicked. I think if he talks to Ash, he's gonna know what is going on. I haven't erased his memory yet."

"So Dad might call him too?"

"Yeah, but Ash won't know the difference, unless he gives him the same names. Dad doesn't know Sammy's friends, teachers, or anyone else we've checked."

"Alright so we have one chance left. Who should we check?" Dean asked.

"It isn't Jess, but Sammy's been spending a lot of time over there. Maybe it's her Mom or Dad?"

"I hope not," Dean said putting his arms around his little sister.

"Me too, because that means we're on the bus outta here."

"Only if we don't give Dad a name."

"That name is gonna cost us one hell of a spanking," Kae said with a frown.

"I know, but Sammy's happiness is worth it right?"

"Yep. Now I only gotta find a way to go over to Jess'."

"Grounded?"

"Do you know how sick I am of being grounded?" Kae said with annoyance in her voice.

"It's for Sammy right?" Dean teased.

"He's lucky I love him best," Kae teased back making Dean tickle her relentlessly.

Sam walked in at eight and realized that Kae wasn't in the living room. Her grounding ended three days ago. Dean was watching Halloween on the T.V.

"Hey."

"Hang on Jamie Lee Curtis boob scene is coming up," Dean said smiling.

Sam smiled and decided to work on the homework he wasn't able to finish with Jess. The afternoon was full of kissing. He'd even made it to second base. God he loved her, more than anything. He even had a plan to stay after his father came back. That was if Bobby and his Dad would let him. Sure he was going to miss his siblings and even his annoying father, but staying with Jess was more important and it would help him get into college easier.

"You haven't finished yet," Dean said looking at the blank paper.

"Sorry, just thinking."

"About Jess?"

"Yeah, she's the best. Where's Kae?"

"Grounded for going out last night. Why didn't you tell me what was up to, I was worried sick," Dean growled.

"I knew you were with Kimber and didn't want to be interrupted," Sam said giving his brother a knowing smile.

"You better not be going down that road little brother, you're too young."

"That coming from an actual man whore."

"Whores get paid. I sleep with these girls a few times. No muss no fuss," Dean said before adding, "You care about this girl too much already. If you sleep with her it's going to make leaving even harder."

Sam sighed. He knew what Dean said was true. Honestly that's why they hadn't gone beyond second base. It would take their relationship to a place where he wanted to go, but he was afraid of losing her already and he really didn't think after sex he'd ever leave her.

"What are your plans tomorrow?" Dean asked.

"Jess wants me to come over for dinner," Sam said.

"Kae's grounded and I'm going out, do you mind asking if Kae can come with you," Dean pleaded.

"I'll ask Jess. It shouldn't be a problem."

"Ok you need to be on your best behavior," Sam said for the third time.

"I know how to act Sammy," Kae said rolling her eyes.

"Kaelyn, I'm serious. No tricks, no abilities, and eat everything on your plate, even if you don't like it. Got it?"

"I got ok? OW, no swatting!" Kae complained.

"Then take this seriously."

"I do," Kae pouted.

Sam took her hand as they walked up the door. Jess was there with a smile the second they knocked.

"Hi Sammy, Kae," Jess said still smiling. "Kae, these are my parents."

"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Moore," Kae said smiling. She quickly got their first names out of their heads. One down two more to go.

"I hope you like spaghetti," Mrs. Moore said smiling at the blond little girl.

"The only thing better than pizza is spaghetti!"

"Good."

"Jess will you show me your room?" Kae asked grabbing Jess' arm.

"Kae," Sam warned.

"Come on I live with guys, I want to see how the other half lives," Kae said giving Sam a mischievous smile.

"Come on Kae, let's go have some girl talk," Jess said.

"What am I supposed to do?" Sam said.

"Well you're not a girl so you can't come," Kae said bounding up the stairs.

"Go watch football with my Dad," Jess suggested following the little girl.

The second they were in the room Kae screamed,

"Purple's my favorite color!"

Jess smiled and said,

"It's mine too."

"So your Mom and Dad let you paint the walls to go along with your bed stuff?"

"Yep. You're Dad doesn't let you?"

"We move too much, but I'm going to ask for a purple comforter when he gets home."

"He's out of town again."

"Just for a couple of days. Jess can I ask you a personal question?"

"Maybe. Ask and I'll let you know."

"Ok. Do you love my brother? Because he soooooo loves you."

"Can you keep a secret?"

"Sure."

"I do."

"I think you guys should just tell each other."

"It's different when you grow up."

"You mean it's stupid when you grow up," Kae said smiling.

"I guess it kinda is," Jess said smiling back and thanked her lucky stars when her Mom called her down for supper.

Sam pulled out both Kae and Jess' chairs before sitting in between them.

"So what were you two doing upstairs?" Mrs. Moore asked.

"Girl stuff," Jess said.

"I'm gonna ask Dad if I can get a purple bedspread."

Sam just shook his head before groaning. There were mushrooms in the spaghetti and Kae hated mushrooms.

"Don't say a word," Sam whispered harshly.

"Ok," Kae said looking down.

"I take it you don't like veggies in your spaghetti?" Mrs. Moore said.

Kae looked at Sam who said,

"She's fine."

"I thought you might not like all those veggies, here you go."

"Thanks," Kae said smiling brightly.

Kae loved how they talked through the meal.

"Hey Jess where did you grow up?" Kae asked.

"In a little town called Perry, Florida," Jess said.

"Mr. and Mrs. Moore are you from there too?"

"Marcy is from Jacksonville and I'm from Tallahassee."

"Wow cool. I love Florida," Kae said excitedly. She looked over at Sam knowing it was going to piss him off but she needed to get this done quickly. "I'm kinda into astronomy right now. When are your birthdays?"

"Kaelyn, stop it right now," Sam growled.

"Sorry." Kae said trying not to smile. Both thought of the day and month, now she just had to get the year.

"It's ok. I had a little girl once," Mr. Moore said.

Kae knew the next question was going to push Sam over the edge, so she took a deep breath and asked,

"You guys seem too young for Jess to be your daughter…"

"I'm sorry Mr. and Mrs. Moore," Sam said grabbing Kae's arm.

"Really, Sam it's ok," Marcy Moore said. Loving that this little girl thought she still looked young at 40 and her husband still looked young at 43.

"Still Kaelyn knows better than to be rude. Thank you for a fabulous dinner," Sam said squeezing Kae's arm.

"Sorry I was being rude and thank you for dinner," Kae said knowing she was going to get it when she got home. Her only hope was that Dean would run interference.

The second they were outside Sam glared at his sister and said,

"Don't say a fucking word Kaelyn!"

"Sammy, I'm really sorry."

"Just wait until we get home and you're going to be even sorrier," Sam growled.

Kae hung her head and followed her brother silently. The second they were inside, Sam said,

"Sit your ass on that couch. I want to know what the hell you were doing there tonight."

"Where's Dean?"

"Out and he's not going to save your ass."

"I don't want to talk until Dean gets here."

"Are you fucking kidding me? You're going to answer my question or I swear I'll start swatting and that will be before you get any real action. Your choice."

Kae sat there for a second too long and Sam lifted her up and landed two hard swats.

"Give me a second," Kae begged.

"How about I tell you what you were doing tonight?"

Kae just shook her head yes and tears started pouring down her cheeks. She hated when Sammy was angry with her.

"You want to make sure Jess' parents are not the child of Azazel, so you asked questions that you know would lead to answers in their minds. That being said your little butt broke your promise to me and Dad's rules, so you could do what?"

"Save you," Kae said.

"Kae, no one is after me."

"But if we don't find out who Azazel's child is, Dad will make us move. You love Jess and she loves you. I just want you to be happy. Please don't be mad at me for trying to make you happy."

Sam sighed and sat next to her on the couch picking her up and put her on his lap finally he put two fingers under her chin before saying,

"Dad's going to move us no matter what."

"But if we know who the child is, maybe he'll let us live with Bobby for a while. I'll hate it, but I love you more," Kae said earnestly leaning into his chest.

"Kae, I need to ask you a question and I want an honest answer."

"I don't know if that's going to be a good idea, if it's the question that I think it is," Kae said.

"Well, I'm asking and you better not lie to me."

"Ok," Kae pouted.

"How many times have you done this?"

"A lot."

"Does Dean know?"

"Are you gonna tell Dad?"

"Not sure yet."

"Yeah he's with me on this, but like me, he just wants you to be happy."

'I'm so going to beat the shit out of him.' Sam thought.

"How are you getting the information?"

"Ash."

"So you're using your abilities more?" Sam asked angrily.

"Kinda."

"Go get your brush."

"Come on Sammy, it was for you."

"What's more important my happiness or your health?"

"Dean was with me and he made sure I didn't push myself too hard."

"I don't give a shit, you know how I feel and you know how Dad feels about all of this so get the damn brush right now."

Kae walked slowly to her room, thinking how unfair it was that Sammy was going to spank her for trying the keep him, safe and happy. The second she walked back into the living room she tried one more time,

"You know I did this for you, right?"

"Yes and the thought was sweet but the way you did it was dangerous."

"Are you telling Dad?"

"I think I gotta," Sam said.

"That's not fair!" Kae said indignantly.

"Kaelyn, you were wrong. So come over and I'll let you keep your jeans."

"How about no brush too," Kae tried.

"Four at the end," Sam said lifting her over his knee.

Kae held her breath and waited for the first swat to come. Sammy's spankings sucked, but she would take his over her brother or father's every day of the week. Sammy rained down swats until she started crying hard. Then he tilted her forward and attacking her sit spots the second Kae sobbed the four hard swats from the brush were laid down. The second he was finished Sam picked her up and held her close. She finished crying and Sam said,

"I love you kiddo. Thank you for trying to help me."

"Love you too. Will you please not tell Dad about this?"

"I'm not going to."

"Thank god," Kae said smiling.

"Dean is."

"But…"

"Trust me our big brother is going to fess up."

"Poor Dean, I wouldn't want to be on that side of the conversation."

"Me neither. Time for bed," Sam said helping her up.

"Will you send Dean in?"

"Nope, you're going to sleep right now and he won't be home for hours."

"Ok."

"Love ya kiddo."

"Love you too."

Dean walked in four hours later and saw Sam sitting on the couch.

"How was…"

"You are such a fucking asshole," Sam practically yelled throwing the remote control at his brother.

"What's up your ass?" Dean asked.

"I don't know maybe letting our little sister use her abilities to find out who might be a child of Azazel."

"Oh that. Tell me you weren't too hard on her."

"I gave her one hell of a spanking and trust me if I could I would take you over my knee right now. Instead I'm going to hand you this phone and you get to tell Dad what you encouraged our little sister to do."

"Come on Sammy, we were just trying to help you out."

"You were putting Kae's life in danger and you were lying your ass off to him and Ash. Wait how did you get Ash to tell you anything?"

"Remember when Kae told us about how she was able to convince her teacher that she was Dad. She did the same thing to Ash."

"Dad's going to kick your ass hard."

"No shit Sherlock. Give me the damn phone so I can get this over with."

"Winchester."

"Hey Dad," Dean started out.

"What's going on? It's almost twelve, are Kae and Sammy ok?"

"They're fine."

"Do you need to talk? You're not coming back down here no matter what you say," John said sternly.

"No sir, I did something really stupid."

"What?"

"Well it was me and Kae. Sammy already spanked Kae so please don't do it again."

"I'll make that decision after you tell what in the hell you did!" John said angrily.

"We decided try to find out who the child of Azazel was."

"How in the hell were you doing that?"

"Using Kae's abilities."

"What in the fuck do you mean by that?"

"Kae would ask questions of different people to find out information. After we had about ten we would call Ash. Kae can convince people she's you, so he looked it up for us thinking it was you."

"What in the hell is your problem? Your nineteen fucking years old and I swear Sammy's more mature than you are."

"I'm really sorry Dad."

"I promise when I get home you are going to be even sorrier. For now you and Kae are grounded. That means penalty miles, corner time, and copying passages. Because Kae will have homework I'll send some research your way too. Make sure you follow every part of this grounding or the ass kicking is going to double and I promise you this, you don't want any more than what I'm giving you. Let me talk to Sammy."

"Hey Dad."

"Take it that you didn't take part in this?"

"No, Kae slipped up tonight because she was trying to get the information from Jess' parents and I was there."

"Did you use the brush?"

"Yes sir."

"Ok your brother and sister are grounded big time. I want to know if they don't run, stand in the corner, or go out."

"Yes sir."

"Sammy, thank you for letting me know. I know it's hard to tell on your siblings."

"It was the right thing to do because I don't want Kae to get hurt. Hey Dad, will you please consider not spanking Kae?"

"Nope, she's not getting it as bad as your brother but she's is getting a spanking when I get home."

"Ok."

"Love ya kiddo."

"Love ya too."
