"See yah." Miku waved at Luka as the pinkette slowly closed the door, leaving her alone in her new room. Miku stared at the door for a while feeling a familiar sense of loneliness creep up her mind, shaking her head to keep the thought away. She rubbed the back of her neck and walked over to her bag that was sitting atop the mini table in the middle of the room. "Must be because of how big this room is, makes you feel kind of lonely.." She muttered to herself absently and started rummaging through her messy stuff in her bag.
Pulling out a black folder from her bag, she pulled the cover open and buried her nose into the folder as she looked into the contents inside with a serious expression on her face. "Memorize, huh..?" She murmured, as she guided her feet down next to the couch and let butt fall on it, feeling surprisingly comfy as her legs slightly burrowed into the soft couch further. But then she suddenly frowned, and pulled her head back from the folder with her eyes squinted.
"Damn why are these letters so small?" She said her voice starting to sound irritated. "Or is it me?"
She squinted at the folder more, already practically glaring at it actually. "I think it is me."
After a few more minutes, she finally gave up.
"GAH! This is making my head hurt, I think I need reading glasses." She almost threw her folder due to exasperation and leaned more into the comfortable couch as she rubbed her eyes with her fingers. Then frowned afterwards. "But my eyesight's pretty fine."
She looked around the room, trying to prove her earlier statement then nodded in confirmation.
"I'm going to get one when I get a computer." She sighed, pretty much talking to herself at this point, she knew but didn't pay any heed to it. Since she was always like this when she's alone and it had developed into some kind of weird habit. She stood up from the comforts of her couch and placed the folder on the mini table. She walked over to her dresser and checked the drawers if it had any clothes inside since she was still in her uniform, fortunately she found clothes, many of them in fact.
Each drawer had a designated article of clothing inside, ranging from undergarments to tops like dress shirts, shirts, tank tops and to lower clothes like jeans, shorts, boxers (Miku sweat dropped at this) with different styles, kinds and patterns. Luka's parents, well rather, her mother asked the tealette what kind of clothes she wears and the tealette answered that she only wore simple dress shirts, jeans or shorts. In short, anything without frills, skirts and fluffy dresses are fine with her. And it was rather nice how Louise picked up on it quickly, making the tealette remind herself to thank the kind woman tomorrow.
Grabbing a pair of undergarments, a black dress shirt and some comfy boxers she started to walk over her bathroom door after pushing the drawers back in. After closing the door behind her she started undressing herself and took a quick shower then slid on the clothes she grabbed earlier. Looking around the rather spacious bathroom, she saw that it was also complete with stuff like toothbrush, make ups, hair stuff, and an assorted set of shampoo, conditioners and soap. Miku scratched her cheek in awe. "Wow they really outdid themselves.."
"But it's not like I use makeup or anything.." Deciding to ignore them, she ruffled the towel that was draped over her hair and tried to dry her monstrous hair. Sometimes she wondered why she let them grow so long, but then didn't really pay any serious thought to it. She never had the heart to cut her hair, and since it was one of her most prized possession since it was the only thing that her family had left her, the color of their hair. She swore to herself to never cut it. Though sometimes it can be really irritating to tend.
Spotting a rather expensive blower somewhere on the wide pristine marble sink, she grabbed it and pulled the rolled cord on it. She plugged it in on some electrical circuit somewhere at the side of the marble wall and started to blow her hair. Apparently the blower had made her life easier and finally finished drying her hair a lot faster, though her problem now is on how the hell will she comb everything straight. Grabbing a brush from the sink, she tried to comb herself, things had been going good until she had reached the lower part of her hair. She can't freaking reach it, well she sort of can but it's hard to brush it.
Deciding to rest her cramped arm for a while, she sighed and placed her comb back on the sink. Usually she would let Meiko comb it for her since she felt comfortable if its her touching her hair, when other people tried to comb her hair it feels freaking painful, it's like their practically pulling her hair with a comb. So since then she decided to only let Meiko to touch it. Even though sometimes she pulls it when she gets mad, she's really the only who could do it without tangling the comb in her sea of a hair. Sometimes the comb even drowns in it.
But then suddenly a certain pinkette popped into her mind.
Miku face palmed. "Why didn't I think of that before?" She muttered under her breath. Miku felt that Luka was trustworthy, she doesn't know why but she just felt it, and Miku was the type to follow her guts, so she finally made up her mind. Standing up with the comb in her hand, she barged out of the bathroom and rushed outside her room. Before Miku could knock onto Luka's door it suddenly opened revealing a newly bathed and worried Luka.
"Miku is everything fin-" Luka stopped short on her tracks after she saw the tealette's current state. The girl was wearing her black dress shirt, with sleeves rolled up onto her elbows and some gray boxers. But what had distracted her the most is that the tealette had her hair down which made the tealette look so enthralling, well it's not like she wasn't already anyways, she just looked so beautiful and much more mature.
"Uhm.. Luka?" Miku said, trying to get Luka out of her stupor. She couldn't for the life of her understand why she was staring at her so intently with that.. amazed face. Miku found her expression adorable though, but then she was starting to feel embarrassed under the pinkette's face so she spoke up once again. "Are you okay?" She waved her hand in front of the pinkette's face, who finally seemed to have her mind working again.
"H-Huwa..?" She mumbled incoherently, making Miku chuckle.
How cute.
"I was just going to ask you something.." The tealette started as she scratched her cheek meekly, earning a confused look from Luka who had just regained her composure. "If you don't mind, can you please comb my monstrous hair for me?" The tealette looked at her expectantly, probably unintentionally. Though Luka could never reject that face, but she also wanted to know what it would feel like to touch the tealette's hair, she had been wondering that for a while now. Mentally slapping herself at the things she was thinking about. She nodded at Miku.
Miku smiled gratefully and handed her comb to Luka, who took it gingerly. She seemed nervous, and Miku didn't know why. "U-Uhm, let's go inside shall we?" The pinkette offered, sidestepping to give Miku way. The tealette nodded and stepped inside as she looked around. Luka's room was slightly larger than hers, but looked similar to Miku's, though had some other modifications here and there. The tealette noted how many bookshelves the pinkette has. "A book worm huh..?" She muttered absently, which Luka heard.
"Y-Yeah I like reading in my spare time and before I knew it, I sort of accumulated a lot of pile of books which led to this." She said, her face slightly flushed since she'd never let someone else rather than her parents inside her room before. Let alone, a friend. She saw Miku look at the pile of books that sat on her mini table, it looked pretty messy. Luka mentally kicked herself for not tidying that up earlier.
Attempting to avert the tealette's attention from the mess, she spoke up. "A-Anyways, over here." She walked over to her queen sized bed that had cream colored covers and sat on the edge. She patted the spot next to her and Miku obliged, sitting on the spot she patted. "Turn around." The tealette revealed her long teal hair to the pinkette, the tangled mess present at the lower part. Remembering that made Miku blush a bit, embarrassed about Luka seeing how messy her hair was.
The pinkette noticed and smiled as she started brushing the girl's hair gently. "Don't worry, sometimes my hair's a mess too." While she combed the girl's thick hair, she noticed how soft and silky they were, even though it was indeed a mess she could tell that the tealette was taking good care of it. Without giving it much of a thought, the pinkette suddenly asked a question. "Why did you grow your hair so long?"
She felt the tealette tense under her touch, making the pinkette instantly regret her actions. I think I pushed my luck too far, damn it.
"S-Sorr-" The pinkette was cut when the tealette finally spoke up, answering her question.
"Before my parents died, I had always admired how my mother grew her hair so long and kept it well maintained." She started, earning the pinkette's full attention, briefly stopping her actions for a while. "I used to play with them before, trying out different hairstyles and all that."
"Though it's not just her hair that I admired, it's also her. She was such a kind mom, even though she's headstrong and brash sometimes, she can be gentle. She stands up to her beliefs without fear and fights for it, which is the part I really admired about her." She continued, a hint of fondness present in her voice. "So ever since then I wanted to be like her, so I started by letting my hair grow."
And following her footsteps. She continued in her thoughts.
"It's also because this is the only thing that I have from my dad, the color of his hair. So I never really had the heart to cut it." She added, her voice sounding a bit melancholic. When an uncomfortable silence started reigning over them, Luka did what her heart first told her to do.
Hug her.
When Miku felt arms wrap around her petite body, she was surprised. She never thought that the pinkette would do that, since she seemed so reserved and all. But it wasn't really that unwelcomed either, when it seemed like Luka wasn't going to let her go soon, she let her tense muscles relax under the pinkette's warm embrace and burrowed herself further, feeling her face heat up. It's a bit embarrassing, but it actually felt rather nice.
It's been so long since I've been hugged like this.. She thought, her hand unconsciously holding Luka's. It feels so nice... I don't want to let go...
Luka's face heated up when she felt Miku's hands suddenly hold hers, she certainly didn't expect that.
"Thank you, Luka.." She heard Miku mutter under her breath shyly, it sounded so adorable.
Deciding to savor the moment, Luka hugged Miku a bit more tighter with a smile on her face, happy to have at least comforted the smaller girl in some way. "My pleasure."
After a few minutes, they let go of each other reluctantly, and the pinkette continued combing the girl's hair with cute blushes present on their cheeks. While the pinkette brushed her hair with care, Miku felt really nice. The way she brushed her hair was different from Meiko's and certainly much more different than other people. She couldn't really describe it but she like the warmth that the girl gave on her back, and how she handled her hair, it was really comforting. And the warmth she felt when her arms were wrapped around her, it's been lingering for a while now.
Well the warmth was lingering for the both of them and they wanted to feel it again.
After the pinkette had combed her hair which was now straight and tangle-free, she hesitantly told the tealette that she was finished, to which Miku replied a bit dejectedly. The tealette stood up from her seat and finally faced the pinkette, who held a slight blush on her face, her eyes averted. Miku was also wearing her own blush, unable to look at the pinkette straight in the eyes.
"U-Uhmm, thanks for brushing it nicely for me." The tealette finally found the courage to look at the pinkette in the eye, who also finally looked at her. Both had a tint of red on their faces. "If.. If you would like, will you help me brush it every morning?"
"I-I mean if it's too much of a bother nevermi-" Before she could finish her sentence, the pinkette cut her, much like how she did earlier.
"I would love to."
Luka smiled at the tealette rather radiantly, making the tealette feel at ease. Miku smiled back, finding the pinkette's smile very endearing and thought that it suited her more, making the tealette speak up out of pure impulse. "Smiling suits you." She grinned at the girl, who looked away and blushed.
Chuckling, she continued. "Alright, see yah tomorrow Luka. Night!" She gave the pinkette one more toothy grin before starting to walk away until Luka stopped her by holding her hand. Looking back at the pinkette with confusion present on her features, which looked even more adorable with her hair down, she asked the pinkette what was wrong.
"You could.. You could always talk to me okay?" The pinkette looked incredibly nervous, but held determination in her eyes, making Miku a bit surprised. After regaining her composure, the tealette smiled at her warmly and gently squeezed her hand. "Sure, and you can also talk to me too."
Luka nodded at the tealette happily, and finally let go from the tealette's warmth.
"Good night, Luka."
"Good night, Miku."
Miku left the room with a gentle smile on her face, clearly in a good mood.
So was Luka who was adorning her own smile on her features.
She was really happy that she met Miku.
AN: Sorry for the delay guys, so here some Negitoro fluff for you! Look at those two, being so adorable as always. Apparently life's been a bitch lately, though it's fine now! Hopefully I'll be getting a lot of chapter up just like before again! Since my uneventful summer vacation is slowly coming to an end and all.. Seriously, like never went out for at least a cheap swim even once. While my siblings are out partyin' hard beside swimmin' pools with their bikinis and shorts on. I'm the only one who hasn't experienced underwater yet this year, despite being in summer vacation. It's sad, really. Anywas, hoped you enjoy as much as I enjoyed writing this! Have a good day!
