Hey guys, I'm back! And it's been about a month… a little over that and I've got a new chapter up! I'm not really sure how quickly I'll be able to get chapters out now because I've got a new job, but I think it won't take a year or so anymore because no lie, I wrote most of that at work. LOL. It should be at least once a month update situation, but once again; no promises.

Now I'm really excited about this chapter! I've been waiting to get to it for a while (another reason the last one took so long lol) now so here it is!

Chapter Ten

Jen was walking out of the pharmacy with a smile on her face. Earlier that morning, she asked Stefan to take her to the doctor's while Damon had gone out, and thankfully she'd made a full recovery. Damon's blood had helped, which Stefan assured that it was no longer in her system. When she got home, she showed Damon the document that cleared her health so he could finally stop hovering. It had been driving her crazy! This had been her first taste of freedom in a week.

As she made her way to her car, she spotted a familiar blonde curly head.

"Hey Klaus," She smiled at the Original.

"Jennifer," He nodded giving her a crooked smile. "I see that your warden has allowed you to roam free."

She chuckled. "Well I have a clean bill of health so no more babysitting." She smirked. "So I hear you got a date to the Founder's Ball."

He returned the smirk. "And exactly how do you know that?"

"Well," She shrugged nonchalantly. "Let's just say that if it weren't for me, you wouldn't have a date." Her brown eyes twinkled with mischief and another smirk planted itself on her face as Klaus's lips slowly grew into a smile.

"I supposed I should thank you then."

"You should... You could, but I have a feeling you won't." She gave him a genuine smile. "And that's ok because everyone deserves to be happy and loved, even you."

Yes, this human had indeed earned his respect. He could see why his sister was so fond of her. She didn't treat them as evil, vile monsters, even though they were certainly capable of such behavior. She treated them as people. He nodded at her and zoomed off before he could thank her.

The girls all helped each other with the final touches of their looks in Jen's room. All of them were in dresses that were authentic to the look of 1864. Her cousin was in a red dress that fit her like a glove. The red of the dress made her olive skin glow beautifully. Her hair was curled with 3 sections of it pulled back and held by tiny pearls. She looked beautiful, but Jen was in awe of how much Elena looked like Katherine. Yes, she knew they were doppelgangers, but it irked her. 'I never did like Katherine.' She thought with an internal frown. She looked around at the other girls.

Rebekah was certainly dressed the most lavishly, and she had a feeling that the dress indeed was from 1864. It was baby blue silk dress with a satin-like sheen typical full hoop skirt, and it looked like it belonged on royalty with touches of lace and bows down the front. Her silky blond hair was pulled into a chignon with a braid from the front of her hair tucked into it.

Caroline looked like a real southern belle and was certainly carrying herself like one. Her light pink dress was poofed at the sleeves and swished around as she walked. Her blond hair was tucked into a chignon with a braid wrapped around it and she even had a southern belle's fan as an accessory.

She turned to Bonnie, whose lavender dress was had 3 layers of embroidered lace and hung off of her shoulders just so. Her dark hair was pulled into a curly Gibson tuck and lace gloves encased her hands; she reminded Jen so much of Emily if she'd been considered high class instead of a servant.

She turned to look at herself in the mirror. Her dress was cream colored, just barely off the shoulder and as typical with an immensely full skirt that was embroidered at the bottom. Her chain hung around her neck, but the pendant was hidden in her cleavage under the dress. She fingered it lightly. It'd been around her neck for 3 years. She knew it was no longer hers to keep; too much had changed, but she didn't know how to return it to its rightful owner. At that moment, her memories of 1864 began invading her mind. 'No...' She shook her head. 'Now is not the time for this.' She scolded herself. There was no point in bringing up memories that would only hurt her.

"Jen?" Luckily, Caroline snapped her out of her thoughts.

She turned to look at the perky blond. "Yeah, Care."

"Did you learn how to do hair á lá 1864 by yourself?"

"No," Jen laughed. "Giuseppe assigned me a maid servant since I had no one to help me. She would help me get dresses and to do my hair, but eventually I picked it up on my own. I'm not one to be excessively doted on."

"It's pretty amazing." She smiled, admiring the swirl bun on the brunette.

"But it's not quite perfect." Jen stated walking into her closet. She walked out carrying an antique jewelry box. She pulled out a silver hair comb encrusted with diamonds. She handed it to Caroline. "Would you?"

"Sure." Caroline smiled, taking the hair comb and placing it in her hair. "This looks really old. When'd you get it?"

Jen looked down. "It's from 1864. It was one of the few things that I was able to bring back with me." She explained in a soft voice.

"It's really beautiful." Elena commented somewhat awkwardly.

"And very expensive." Rebekah added with a smirk. "It's the kind of gift that comes from someone who obviously thought very highly of her, had lots of money and wanted something that would last a lifetime." She explained, and her implication of the gift giver was clear to everyone. "Or… a few lifetimes."

That earned Rebekah a slight glare from Jen. Silence overtook the room; each lost in their own thoughts. Rebekah smiled smugly as she checked herself in the mirror. Yes, if looks could kill the Original would most certainly be dead… well deader. She knew that talking about Jen's past with Damon really stung said brunette, but Rebekah figured that it stung Elena as well. Rebekah knew that Elena had noticed Damon's priorities shift. Number one now was JD, as Rebekah agreed it should be, but Rebekah knew that it also scared Elena that those priorities would expand from JD to include his mother. She knew that it was difficult for Elena, and the rest of the Mystic Falls gang to imagine Damon hopelessly in love with someone else. 'Or someone that doesn't have the same face as the annoying little doppelganger.' She rolled her eyes. But such a time had existed, and she had no qualms about reminding Elena that Damon had once loved Jen with all he had, and planting the seed that he could once again.

And if a bit of drama followed? Well she'd certainly sit back and enjoy.

The Founder's Ball would be starting soon and none of the girls had come downstairs yet, and they were all fully dressed. Each of them dressed in the proper era's attire and their vests properly coordinated with their date's dress. A knock on the door took Damon, Stefan, Matt, Jeremy and JD's attention from the stairs. Damon picked up JD and looked at his brother. "You answer it."

Stefan nodded and opened the door. "Klaus? What are you doing here?"

Klaus gave his typical crooked smirk. "I'm here to escort a certain perky blonde to the ball." He spoke as he walked in, not bother to await an invitation.

Damon narrowed his eyes at Klaus. He really didn't care if Caroline was hooking up with the Original or not. What he did care about was that Klaus had threatened JD's life the last time he was around.

"Daddy, are the girls coming?" JD asked with an exasperated look on his face, looking so much like his father.

Klaus looked at JD. "Kid, you'll be waiting on girls for years and years to come." His voice was nearly sweet, but the slightly menacing undertone ruined it a bit.

JD look at him scared and then buried his face in his dad's shoulder. "Daddy, why will mommy take years? Mommy!"

Damon rubbed JD's back, annoyed with the Original. "Shh, she won't take years… She'll be down soon." He said looking at JD then glaring at Klaus.

Luckily for Damon, The girls began coming down with Caroline in the lead. Klaus's eyes widened as her admired his date. Bonnie came next, followed by Rebekah and Elena respectively.

Stefan couldn't help but admire Rebekah, and it bothered him a bit. She wasn't a nice person, but lately she'd have her moments. Especially around his nephew. Although, Elena was also a sight to behold and both Salvatore brothers took notice. Damon slowly put JD down as he watched her descend. Yes, she was Katherine's doppelganger, but she looked nothing like her. The sweet smile on her face made her look so different form her evil doppelganger and the deep red of the dress made her olive skin glow ever so. 'Absolutely beautiful.' Damon thought as a pang of jealousy stabbed him in the heart. He wanted so badly to be her date, and he knew that if it came down to it, Stefan would've accompanied Jen. But he knew better… Elena still depended on Stefan to feel human, and she leaned on him when she wanted to be a big bad vampire without feeling bad about it.

JD tugged on his father's authentic 1864 suit. "Miss 'Lena looks pretty, Daddy."

"Yeah, she does, kiddo." Damon smiled down at him as Elena reached the last step and smiled at both of them.

"You look really good, Damon." Elena placed a hand on his arm, and then turned her attention to his mini-me. "You do too, JD."

Just as JD was about to respond a whispered wow escaped his lips and his eyes were looking back at the stairs, past Elena. Damon's eyes followed and he watched as Jen descended. Her hair pulled back properly, the cream-colored dress accenting her lighter olive skin and small drop diamond earrings dangling delicately from her ears.

Damon's mind began spinning as Jen's dress changed from cream to a very pastel lavender and her hair was half-down instead of up. The only thing that was the same was the nervous smile on her face.

*Flashback*

He watched as she walked down nervously. The delicate dress hung off her shoulders, revealing just the right amount of cleavage. When she reached the final step, he took her hand delicately and brought it to his lips.

"Happy Birthday, Mister Salvatore." She said as a light blush colored her cheeks.

"Why thank you, Miss Pierce." Damon smiled as he looped her arm in his. "How did I get so incredibly lucky to be allowed to escort such a divinely beautiful woman to my first birthday celebration in years?"

"I honestly have no clue." She giggled at his compliment.

"Thank you for this." He smiled down at her.

She returned the smile. "I'd do anything to see you happy, Damon. You're happy, aren't you?"

He stroked her cheek lightly. "Of course I am. Only one thing could make me happier than I am at this moment."

*End Flashback*

He blinked rapidly just as Jen reached the last step. He, just as before, took her hand in his and kissed it. "It is our grandest pleasure to escort you this evening, Miss Pierce." His blue eyes twinkling as he spoke.

"Thank you, Master Salvatore." She half smiled, half smirked, knowing that the title would catch him, as well as Stefan, off guard.

Damon's eyes widened. "The last time I heard someone be called that…"

"Was dad…" His brother finished for him.

"Well you are master of the Salvatore estate now, aren't you?" She chuckled. "And that finally promoted you from young Mister Salvatore to Mister Salvatore, Stef." She smiled at the younger brother.

He grinned. "Yeah, it finally does."

She crouched down to look at her little boy, who was dressed just like the his dad, but his suit was a dark navy blue with a dark gray vest and matching navy tie. "And that makes you young Mister Salvatore, sweetheart." She explained with a happy smile, proud that her son was finally able to participate his father's outdated culture, which she cherished so greatly. "Are you ok? I heard you call for me while I was upstairs."

"He's fine." Damon answered on his behalf. "Just a misunderstanding." He shot a glare at Klaus. "Shall we?" He held out his arm to her.

"Wait!" Rebekah interjected. "There's something we have to do first." She looked at Matt. "Did you bring it?" He nodded and handed her a black case. She opened it and pulled out a camera. "Alright Salvatore boys, get together." She ordered, and surprisingly, they obeyed without complaint. JD stood proudly between his father and uncle with a wide smile as the adults each smiled as well. "Now just JD and Damon, Stefan." She ordered and Stefan obliged by moving away.

Damon picked up JD proudly and taking in his son's attire along with the look of admiration in is son's eyes, he almost felt like he was back in 1864 and human again. "Smile at Rebekah, kiddo." He said quietly and they both turned and gave her identical smiles.

"Sometimes I swear it weirds me out how much he looks like you." Rebekah stated, making the 2 of them as well as Jen and Stefan laugh.

"Bex, take one of Stefan and Damon." Jen suggested. There was no reason she couldn't suggest it with the look they both had. 'so much to reminisce…' She'd have to remember to get a copies of the from Rebekah.

Rebekah snapped the picture of the smiling Salvatore brothers and she couldn't help, but notice that their relationship had improved lately. 'I'd wonder why… But I already know.' She smirked. "Jen, lets get a picture of you and Damon." She didn't give Jen time to protest, but immediately pushed her into the blue-eyed brother.

Damon positioned her just ever so in front of him. He wrapped on arm around her slim waist with her arm resting on his, and then took her other hand his, letting it rest on top of their arms. Rebekah snapped the picture as they both smiled. "Why are you so tense?" He asked, looking down at her and making her look at him.

"It's just a little overwhelming how familiar all of this is…" She responded quietly and they both saw a flash.

"JD, go join your parents." Rebekah nudged him forward and his mother picked him up. JD ran over and was immediately picked up by his mother and Damon put his arm over Jen's holding JD as well while his other arm remained around her waist. "Say family." Rebekah ordered with a smirk behind the camera, and from the corner of her eye she could see Elena narrow her eyes. Jen and Damon share an awkward look before saying the word in unison with their son. Rebekah snapped the picture and looked at the result, satisfied that, though the parents were awkward about saying family, they both had genuine smiles in the picture. "Go join them, Stefan. I wanna take a Salvatore family photo, and then we can go." She smiled. Stefan moved to stand on Jen's other side with his arm around her shoulders and smiled. Rebekah snapped the picture and put the camera away. "Lets go." She sauntered out the door with Matt in tow.

The Founder's Day Ball was a success. Everyone was impressed with Caroline's hard work. After having dinner, couples began taking to the dance floor. Klaus was the first to make a move and pull Caroline to dance. They'd been inseparable all night and he played the part of her date perfectly, complimenting not only her, but the party to everyone she spoke to. Bonnie and Jeremy went next, and since Matt wasn't much of a dancer, Rebekah turned to Jen and Damon, with whom she and everyone else was sharing a table.

"Parents, do you mind if I take your son for a dance?" Rebekah asked with a smile.

"Go ahead, Bex." Jen replied, smiling. Rebekah immediately picked the toddler up and carried him to the dance floor.

Damon stood up in suit and held out his hand to Jen. "Ms. Pierce, might you honor me with a dance?"

She giggled, placing her hand in his. "It'd be my pleasure, Master Salvatore."

He swept her to the dance floor. "This feels very familiar, you know."

"Tell me about it." She agreed with a chuckle.

"When you were coming down the stairs earlier, I had a flashback." He admitted as they danced just as. "You changed… It kinda gave me mental whiplash. Your dress turned a really light shade of purple and your hair was half- down. When you reached the bottom of the steps, you told me happy birthday."

Her eyes widened slightly. "It was the first birthday party you had since your mom died."

"It was." He nodded. "You asked me if I was happy, and I said that here was only one thing that could make me happier. But I don't know what that is." He explained. "Honestly… I barely remember that party. I figure that it's because you were such a big part of it. I remember saying to Stefan 'If it hadn't been for her, I wouldn't even be celebrating my birthday'. Now I know it must've been you who convinced my father, right?"

"It was." She smiled. "I asked your father if I could throw a party and he immediately obliged because it had been so long since the Salvatores had thrown a party and apparently that was how the rich showed off that they were rich, so he immediately approved. I only told him it was for you afterwards, and it was too late for him to cancel."

He smiled. His father must've liked her a lot to give her such liberties. She must've been one of the few things they agreed on.

*Flashback*

"This girl is a dream, Damon." Giuseppe Salvatore said with his hands folded on his desk. "She knows how to socialize, she has shown the ability to maintain a home, and she is a beautiful young lady." He chuckled gruffly and shook his head. "I have no idea how you managed to win her over. She seems much more suited for Stefan, but oh well."

Damon gritted his teeth at his father's words, but remained silent. 'It's always Stefan…'

"But I'm gonna give you a piece of advice." Giuseppe stood up and looked his eldest son in the eye. "Do not mess this up and lose this girl."

*End Flashback*

"Damon?" Her soft voice brought him back. "Did you just have another flashback?" Her voice was a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"I did." He affirmed with a smirked. "And my jackass of a father really did like you. He thought you were too good for me and wanted to pair you off with Stefan because, contrary to our beliefs, he hated Katherine's guts. Apparently my affections weren't the only ones that warped when you came back to the 21st century, Dad's were too." He gave a grim smile. Talking about his father was never an easy subject.

"What did you remember to trigger all that?"

"Dad being a dick… Saying some stuff about me, you and Stefan." He answered as he noticed that they never missed a step in the dance, and unlike the other couples at the party, they were dancing 1864 style.

"Oh," She nodded. "Your dad was a dick." Her nose scrunched in distaste, making Damon chuckle at her choice of words. "What?"

"There's so much more to you than the mommy act you got goin'." He gave her his signature crooked grin.

"You have no idea." She laughed as the song ended.

"You never missed a beat." He said as they bowed to each other.

"I had a good teacher and a great partner." She replied smiling. They stared at each other for no more than five seconds until JD came up and asked his mother for a dance.

"Do you mind, Master Salvatore?"

"Not at all, Ms. Pierce. You do have 2 escorts this evening." Damon smiled as his son dragged his mom to the dance floor and he returned to his seat. "Where's your date?" He asked having noticed his brother seated as well.

"Bathroom with Bonnie and Caroline." Stefan responded as they both watched the mother and son duo dance. They sat in silence for a bit until Stefan turned to his older brother. "Is all this nostalgic to you? Because it is to me."

"Hell yes." Damon scoffed. "Tonight is so fucking nostalgic that I've flashbacked twice already."

"What'd you see?"

"Well first it was when she was coming down the stairs and it flashed back to the night of my birthday party. The second was when we were dancing. Dad was being a dick to me about her." He explained and both brothers smirked.

"Do you ever wonder what it would've been like? If she hadn't disappeared?" He gestured to his brother's former lover. "It would've been this all the way… Maybe even more kids."

"I know… And I do wonder but I don't dwell on it because there's no point, Stef." He sighed. "I don't do regrets. What happened with her… with us was a shit fest of epic proportions. There's no point in thinking about it, but this entire night… It's messing with my head."

"I suppose you're right." Stefan agreed. "You have them now, that's what matters."

"Yeah," He agreed. "You're right." He saw the woman he loved walking towards their table. 'Damn… she looks so beautiful…' He thought and his eyes glanced at the mother of his son. Their son had his legs around her waist as she held him, held his hand in hers and danced with him; and both of them had smiles on their faces. He smiled at them; an inexplicable feeling filled him just as his attention was drawn elsewhere.

"Damon?" Elena's voice made his eyes snap back to her, but his mind was still elsewhere and Elena's voice seemed to be drowned out.

*Flashback*

"Damon, where are we going?" Jen asked as Damon helped her out of a carriage and led are down a stone path. They had just left his birthday party.

"Don't worry." He assured. "Just follow. My father's leaving the next few days has brought on a lovely window of opportunity."

"Opportunity for what?"

He led them up to a small, but cozy cottage. "For us to be alone." He smiled at her.

She turned to him and smiled. "What is this?"

He cupped her face in his hands. "This?" He rested his forehead against hers. "This is for us. I bought this with my own money so we could get away." He explained and then kissed her softly.

Tears filled her chocolate eyes as he pulled back. "Damon…" There were no words to convey the love that she felt for him. Their love was something that couldn't be explained or expressed with words. In the midst of each other's flaws, they still loved and accepted each other. Her eyes bore in his crystal blue ones.

"Jennifer…" His thumb stroked her cheek as he saw and felt the love she expressed in her eyes and by simply whispering his name. "I love you, but those words aren't enough." He wrapped his arms around her. "I've never loved anyone as much as I love you. I can't live without you… and if I ever have to? I'll never ever be the same again." He stroked her cheeks. "You make me feel worth something. You look at me like I matter… I haven't really had that since my mother." A distant look appeared in his eyes for a second.

"Oh… Damon…" She hugged him and he held onto her for dear life. Her heart was breaking. Emily had assured her that being in the past wouldn't be forever, but that she was supposed to live as if it was. Emily had also promised Jen that she would see Damon again. 'How is any of this possible? How am I supposed to leave him? I want to spend my life with him…' A single tear streamed down her face as he pulled back.

He gave a small smile as he wiped away said tear. "I was wondering if I could ask for one more present since it's still my birthday."

"Anything." She smiled.

"I told you that there was only one thing that could make this day better." He stepped away from her. His hand slipped into his pocket as he dropped to one knee. "Please, allow me to spend the rest of my life with you. Marry me, Jennifer." His eyes pleaded to her and he'd never felt so vulnerable in his life.

Her heart seemed to halt for a second and before she could even think about the answer, her heart responded. "Yes." Her voice was no more than a whisper.

A wide grin spread across his face as he took her hand and slipped the ring on her finger. "A perfect fit…" He murmured, still smiling.

"It's beautiful." She admired the ring. It was a rose gold band with a large diamond on top that was surrounded by 14 smaller diamonds.

"It was my mother's." He kissed her hand and pulled her close. "And I know she'd be proud that you're wearing it."

She looked up at him and smiled through glassy eyes. "I love you, Damon."

"And I love you, my angel." He kissed her softly.

*End Flashback*

"Damon!" Elena yelled, snapping her fingers in his face. "What's wrong? You completely spaced." She gave him a concerned look.

His mind was running a million miles an hour. "I need to…" He trailed off as he stood up. He marched over to Jen and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Damon, are you ok?" She asked. The look on his face was indecipherable.

"We need to talk." He took JD from her and put him down. "Go hang out with your Uncle Stef, kiddo." He ruffled his hair.

"Ok, Daddy." JD replied and obey his dad.

"Damon, you're worrying me." She mumbled as he led her outside to the patio.

He led her to a stone bench silently, and they sat down together. After a few more minutes of silence, he looked at her. "Tell me. Tell me how serious we were." His voice was just barely above a whisper, his elbows were on his knees and he was staring at the ground.

"Pretty serious…" She answered.

He scoffed and looked at her. "Other than the fact that I can hear your heart stutter when you lie, I can see right through your lies. Plus, you're real with me." He stared her down.

"Damon…" She began and paused, not really knowing what to say. She looked down at her hands in her lap.

He could see that she was having hard time saying it as much as he was having a hard time accepting it. "We were gonna get married." He sighed heavily. "We were gonna get fucking married, Jen." Even though he was saying it, he couldn't actually believe it.

"Yes." Her voice was a whisper.

"I bought us a house. I proposed to you, I gave you my mother's ring… I…" A knot formed in his throat. "I loved you… I loved you so damn much… And you loved me…" He felt like utter and complete shit. Their love was something that people only dreamed of, and it was torn apart by God knows what. He was going to have everything that he'd ever dreamed of, and it was torn away. She lost everything. She lost time in her own time while in his. She lost dreams that she'd built with him. She gave herself to him entirely only to be torn away, pregnant, and raise their child alone at only 18. He turned to look at her and saw tears hitting her lap. "Jen?" She sniffled, but didn't look up at him. He placed his hand under her chin and made her look at him. "I am so sorry." He pulled her into his lap and hugged her. He couldn't help it. His humanity or the loss of it, or both were so overwhelming. She sobbed into his chest. "I'm so sorry." He whispered again burying his face into her hair.

Minutes passed unnoticed by them, but certainly not by a certain doppelganger. She watched them with a frown, but remained still as to not draw their attention.

Jen pulled herself away from Damon and sat next to him again as she wiped her tear-stained cheeks. "Sorry… I didn't mean to-"

He cut her off. "It's ok." He assured with a grim smile. "What you suffered, what you lost… You couldn't exactly talk about it without seeming like a loon. You couldn't let it out with anyone that could actually understand what you lost." He ended with a whisper, looking in the direction that their visitor had been, but there was no one there.

"You lost a lot too, Damon." She placed her hand over his. "You lost your life, your memories, a future, your heart…"

"You." He added when she trailed off. "We got fucked over." He chuckled mirthlessly. "We got fucking gipped. I mean, I'm used to getting fucked over by life or magic or whatever, but this is the first time that people have actually gotten fucked over with me. I mean yeah, Elena lost her parents and a bunch of other people, but she still had people by her. All we really had was each other… and eventually JD on the way." He sighed. "And now everything is different. I'm a vampire in love with the doppelganger of the evil bitch who took advantage of my amnesia, and she also happens to be involved with my brother. Meanwhile, there's you and our complicated situation, and JD, who is like a dead dream that somehow came true." They shared a smile.

"He is something else, isn't he?" She laughed lightly.

"He is my kid." He smirked smugly.

"Hey!" She nudged him playfully. "He's my kid too." She reminded, making him laugh. "I have to give you something that belongs to you."

"What?" He looked at her curiously.

She reached behind her, unclasping the chain that disappeared into the cleavage, and slowly pulled it out. His eyes followed the end of the chain. "This belongs to you." She placed it in his hand.

"My mother's engagement ring." His blue eyes widened as he examined it in his hand. He looked up at her. "Your engagement ring. It's yours, Jen." He moved to hand it back to her.

She shook her head. "No, Damon. It's yours. I can't keep it anymore… It's not my place. It hasn't been my place for three years, or a 150 years or so, I guess you could say." She sighed.

"But I gave it to you…"

"No…" She looked at him pleadingly. "Please don't make me keep it, Damon." She begged. "Too many memories." She rubbed her eyes.

"Ok." He conceded, slipping the chain in his pocket. "We should get going. It's late for JD to be up." He stood and held his hand out to help her up.

"You're right." She took his hand, and stood.

He guided her back inside with his hand on the small of her back. When they got back to their table, they saw JD asleep in Stefan's lap. They smiled at each other, and then at Stefan. "It's obviously time to get home." Damon slipped his jacket off, placed around Jen's shoulders, and took JD slowly from his brother's arms. "It's too late to be out with JD."

"I should get going too." Stefan stood up. "I need to change so I can go for a hunt." He turned to his date. "Is that ok, Elena?"

"Yeah," She smiled. "It's fine."

"Speaking of which, I'll run out and grab us some blood bags." Damon added glancing at Elena. "We're gonna see if you can get used to 'em." He placed an arm around Jen as Stefan took Elena's hand. "We'll go home, change, I'll help you tuck JD in and head out." He said to Jen as he guided her out and someone narrowed their eyes behind them.

Ok guys! I was really excited for this chapter because of all the Damon moments. I love Damon! As if you all hadn't noticed. Pleeeeease leave me your thoughts through reviews or PMs and sorry if you thought Damon seemed a bit OOC in this chapter but I figured he had a right to kinda flip out because he's starting to learn things about his past that he didn't even know he lost. It's kind of a mourning situation for him.

But anyways… This chapter was over 5,500 words! I already got started on the next chapter and there's gonna be an awkward climate coming into the Salvatore house. Please review! Lemme know what you think and what you wanna see!

On my profile will be the link to everyone's Founders Ball looks! Check it out!

XOXO-
