A/N: Hey guys. Wow, it has almost been an entire year since my last update. I am sorry, I really do not have a reason for my absence. So, I hope you enjoy this chapter and I will see you at the end.

Third Person POV

A screamed filled the air. And carnival music? Wait that can't be right. We didn't go to the carnival. What was the last thing we did? Suddenly the memories of recent events came flooding back into Robin's mind. He was with the team. They were escaping from Joker. Joker easily snuck behind him and captured him. Then everything had gone black.

Robin's eyes shot open behind hid domino mask, the light temporarily blinding him. Blinking a few times, his vision slowly started to come back to him.

Robin POV

"Oh good Robin, you are finally awake. These people were being to bore me. No one understands my intellect here except you. You see, Joker left me in charge while he went to 'run an errand or two' he didn't tell me when he would be back though. So I tried to have a little fun. Don't worry, no one got hurt. Joker gave me a few rules. 'Rule 1: Don't hurt anyone while I am gone. Rule 2: Don't let them escape. Rule 3: Don't ruin the place, it's a rental. Rule 4: Don't touch anything!' Quite boring rules if I do say so myself. He left me with nothing to do. So I figured I would test your friends' knowledge with my riddles. They are very unintellectual if you ask me. None of them knew any of the answers. But you would know. Well, you have a bit more intellect than them, so you should be able to comprehend what I am saying. Maybe you can guess correctly. Probably not. This would be a great work out for your mind," said the Riddler.

"I'm not going to answer any of your stupid riddles." I quickly replied.

"Well why not? You do need to get better with your mind. It will be your greatest weakness if you are not careful," Riddler calmly responded. "What if I make you a deal?"

A deal? I could make this benefit me somehow. "What kind of deal are you thinking of Nigma?"

"Lets see." He was silent for a minute. "I got it. For every riddle that you answer correctly, I will answer whatever question you ask me."

"I accept your-"

"Not so fast. There is another side to our deal." Riddler said, quickly interrupting me.

That's not good.

"For every incorrect answer of yours, you have to answer one of my questions. Don't worry, I will not ask anything that will reveal you 'secret identity' to your acquaintances. I know all I want to know in that department. Do you accept my terms?"

What could the Riddler want to know? I can feel everyone's eyes on me, waiting for me to answer. I smirk a little. I can't help it if their stupidity amuses me somewhat. Do they expect me to say no? That would be completely stupid. I know there is information that we all want to get, and if I tell the Riddler 'no', we would never get any of those answers. I swear, sometimes it seems that I am on a team full of monkeys. "Of course I accept your terms."

"As I knew you would."

"Rob, what are you doing?" Wally questioned.

"Don't worry about it," was my only response.

"He is right Kid. The Riddler tends to reside in Gotham, Batman and Robin's territory. Therefore Robin knows how to handle this man." Artemis said to Wally.

"She's right KF. So, chill. What's your first riddle?" I turned to Riddler. If I wanted answers, I would have to play along with the Riddler's little game.

"So eager to start. Well, I don't want to keep you waiting. I have eighty-eight keys but cannot open a single door. What am I?"

Eighty-eight keys but can't open anything. What has keys? A map has a key. Not eighty-eight keys though. That would be a very complex. I should make one. What could I map out? Richard, focus! I need to focus. What else? A piano? Pianos have many keys, not in the sense of keys that unlock things. So, a piano? That seems right. "A piano. It has eighty-eight keys and cannot open a single door."

"Good job little-bat. You may ask whatever question your puny brain can come up with."

Joker could be back any second so I have a very limited amount of time to get the answers I need. But, I can only ask one question at a time. What is most important? What is Joker's plan? Why has he brought us here? Wait, where exactly is here? I looked around at my surroundings. There was a faint sound somewhere not too far away from where we currently were. What is that sound? Is that carnival music? Why is there carnival music? Where is Miss M? Did he let her go? That's not really his style though. These questions are for the Joker. I don't know what the Riddler actually knows, so I have to be careful with the questions about the Joker's intentions. "Okay. Why did Joker bring us to an old carnival?"

"Good question. The Joker has a brilliant plan with this place. It has everything he needs for 'entertainment' purposes."

"Entertainment? What do you mean?"

"Uh uh uh. Only one question per correct answer Boy Wonder. Are you ready for your next riddle?" I remained silent. "I'll take your silence as a 'yes' then. 'Although glory but not at my best. Power will fall to me finally, when the man who made me is dead. What am I?'"

Who gets power when the one before them dies? Someone high up in the social ladder. Who gets glorified even when they completely mess up? Someone famous. So it has to be a generic answer, nothing too specific. Think Robin, think! I got it. "The answer to your riddle is simple. It's a prince."

"That is the correct answer."

"What is the Joker planning on doing with us?"

"What a good question. I wonder why it was not the first question that you asked. If you must know, the Joker is planning on—"

"Nigma! If you value your life in anyway, you will cease speaking right now!" Joker hollered. He turned toward me, his mood changing ever so slightly. "Robbie-poo, if you ask those types of questions, you will ruin the surprise."

"What is this 'surprise' you are talking about?"

"If I tell you, it wouldn't be a surprise, would it?" He turned his face away from me. "Harley! Would you please escort Mr. Nigma back to his quarters?" Joker said, shortly.

"Sure thing Mr. J" Harley responded.

"Thank you. Now Robin, we need to get your friends ready for tonight. We have a big night tonight."

"What do you mean get us ready?" Artemis questioned.

"Now is not the time for questions. Me and Robin need to have a private chat. So, HARLEY!" Joker screeched.

Harley cames running in. "Yes sweet-ums?" She said while catching her breath.

"Take the little children over there to get ready."

Harley walked over to where the rest of the team was in order to gather Artemis, Wally, and Superboy. Wait, where is Kaldur? Harley started to approach me when Joker stopped her in her tracks.. "Not him. Me and Robin need to have a private conversation." Harley stood still for a few moments. "Go Harley. Now!" Startled, Harley rushed off with the team.

After Harley and the team got a good distance away the Joker slowly turned to me, his head hanging low.

"What do you want Joker?" I said bravely.

"I assume that you are aware that two of your teammates are no longer with us" Joker said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Where are they Joker? What did you do to them?" I questioned, keeping a fair distance from him.

"Now Robin, I'm going to ask you to be quite for a little bit. Could you do that?" He sounded like he was getting irritated.

But there is something else in his voice. It almost sounds like he is feeling guilty for something. But what?

"Do you know what today is? Since you aren't talking, I will tell you. Today is the day that Batman will die."
