Twilight's horn lit up as she pushed some foliage away while the group kept moving through the forest.
"It's way to dark, even for Everfree Standards." Said a worried Fluttershy as she stayed close to Pinkie and Rainbow Dash.
"What I don't quite get is why ourselves in this world are following Discord." remarked Rarity with confusion.
"I can't believe I'm not as awesome in this universe." frowned Rainbow Dash.
"I'm not as fun here..." Frowned Pinkie. "Maybe if I were to show her."
"I think we should do that AFTER getting Spike back." spoke Twilight. "After we get him, then maybe we can figure out what's up with them."
They all nodded as Rarity spotted the way out.
"Oh girls, I see the exit."
All of them moved forward eagerly as Twilight pushed the brush away and blinked as the girls followed out and stood beside her.
"What in tarnation?" Gasped Applejack.
They all were looking at Ponyville, but what was odd was the various species walking about like it was normal.
"There's so many non-pony citizens, that should it really still be called Ponyville?" Applejack asked her friends.
"I'm not sure, and quite frankly it gives me the shivers." shuddered Rarity seeing Diamond Dogs as one of the species.
"Well...at least all creatures are living together, that's a plus, right?" Asked Fluttershy, looking on the bright side of things. That's when she spotted a Hydra down the street and gulped while hiding behind Rainbow Dash.
"Don't worry Fluttershy, it's like you said, everyone is now living together, so the hydras should be friendly." Pinkie assured her.
"And if that's the case, someone must've seen Spike." spoke Applejack. "With so many species in one place, it shouldn't be too hard to notice a dragon right?"
Applejack's logic was stomped to dust after seeing baby dragons, teenage dragons, adult dragons, and dragon hybrids. "Drat!" Said Applejack. Then she felt liquid on her hoof. "Consarnit! Fluttershy, did you just wet yourself?"
"No!" she cried out with a blush.
"Then what's this on my hoof?"
Then they saw that a colt had dropped a warm mug of fresh cider.
"Oh, hey th..."
"Aaaaaah! They're back!" he screamed turning and running away as the girls saw the citizens turn towards them.
"Something tells me that we've been here before." Said Twilight.
"What are you six doing back here?" sneered a Diamond Dog.
"Yeah, why aren't you hanging with your leader Discord?" Said a teenage dragon.
"So you came back for a 2nd round huh? Sunset Shimmer and the others will defeat you everytime!" Shouted a Donkey.
"Sunset Shimmer?" spoke Twilight with wide eyes. "Uh, look, I think you might have us confused for someone el-"
Then trash such as soda cans and hayburger wrappers were thrown at them.
"Hey! What's the big idea!" spoke Rainbow Dash flying up to avoid the trash. "We didn't do anything!"
"You terrorized the town!"
"Turn yourselves in!"
"I'm mad!"
They kept throwing more trash with Twilight forming a shield over the others while Rainbow flew around any that reached the air.
"Come-on girls, let's find the castle!" Said Twilight.
"But we need to get through this crowd!" spoke Rarity as the trash bounced off the shield.
Pinkie Pie then pulled out her party cannon. "Crowd control time."
"Um, Pinkie? Won't that hurt them?" asked Fluttershy while hiding behind Applejack.
"Don't worry, this time I've upped this baby up with flower petals and feathers." reassured Pinkie moving it over to the edge of the force field as Twilight made an opening and she started opening fire.
"Take cover!" Then everyone turned and jumped, some unaware that they jumped face 1st into trees, rocks and puddles.
"Let's go!" called Pinkie running with the canon in front as the girls followed her through the crowd's path.
Meanwhile at the castle...
Spike stretched out his limbs as he climbed out of his bed.
"Ah, nothing like a good sleep to make a dragon into a new guy...unless it's a hot spring...yeah..." he turned and walked out of the room while looking down the long halls. "...New world...but different hallways..." He said in a low tone.
He still questioned what he was gonna do, but didn't feel out of place as much as before and actually felt relaxed going down the halls. Spike liked Sunset's interior design, much more comfy than the usual cold crystal floors that he's used to.
As he walked past the throne room, he found himself covered in a red aura and pulled into the room. "Huh?"
Then he found himself hugged by Solar Flare. "Spike! Why are you out of bed?"
"Mom, I'm fine..."
She held him up. "You sure? No tingling? No scratches? Bruises, fever, cold?"
"Mom!" he spoke up. "Seriously, I'm fine, really."
"Sister!" Said Nightmare Moon. "Hypocrite."
"Hey! It's completely different for a mother to worry about her son than an aunt for her nephew." retorted Solar Flare hugging Spike close to her.
Nightmare Moon rolled her eyes.
"Can I just go to Sunset Shimmer now?"
"Okay, you can go play with your friend for 30 minutes, after, we're getting hayburgers."
"Mom!"
She smiled and kissed his forehead before setting him down. "Oh! But before I forget, I want to talk to you about something very important."
"And that is?"
She turned to the side hall way. "You two can come out now."
Then the 2 figures emerged.
Spike's eyes widened and he raised a shaking claw. "C-Cadence? Sombra?!"
"Sombra? I'm Queen Umbra." replied the black coated mare with a feminine structure compared to the king, but did have the same cape and attire with the same glowing eye marks.
"C-Cadence?"
"Nope, but cool you know the former me."
"Nightmare Heart?"
"That's strike 2 kid, come-on, guess my name."
He tapped his chin and rubbed his head. "Uh, I got nothin."
"Bleeding Heart."
"That's disturbing." Spike replied.
"It is, but it's my name." Smiled the alicorn with dark pink coat, magenta mane with purple and yellow stripes complete with silver armor that had a heart emblem on it.
'Alright, weird. My mom and aunt are changed, and now Cadence? And Sombra's a woman? Even weirder.'
"So you're my little cousin?" Said Bleeding Heart.
"Yep, that's right."
"Aunt Solar Flare, how'd you get such a cute dragon?" she asked while walking over and rubbing Spike's head.
Spike didn't notice, but Umbra looked a little jealous as Bleeding Heart pet him.
'Why does she need to pet him?'
"That feels nice." Spike told her.
She smiled before hugging him while rubbing his back.
"Okay babe, I think you've proven your point on how cute he is."
"Babe?" Spike questioned. 'Huh, so Cadence ain't with Shining Armor in this world. Go figure.'
Bleeding Heart let go of Spike and walked back over to Umbra.
"Now, the reason this is important is this." Solar Flare produced a form and handed it to Spike.
"What the?! Whoa!" he exclaimed as he read over the paper. "I'm...m-m-m..wait...Mom...you want me to marry my co...I should stop because you'll counter with not related by blood...but still...I'm married to these 2 now?!"
"Yes, I know it's sudden and it was done without your consent, but I want you to hear me out."
Spike then had a disapproving face towards Solar Flare.
"Look, when Discord started causing trouble, there was panic between here and the Crystal Empire. So to help reassure them everything would be alright, I proposed marriage between you and their two rulers."
"Really? You 2 rule an empire? And...and since I'm married to you...that makes me...a king..."
Then he had an imagination. "I declare today, Spike Day! Please, no bowing...okay, a little bowing."
"Technically yes, but it doesn't become official until you three sign it. And before that, I'd like you to talk and spend time together with them."
Spike then looked at Bleeding Heart and Umbra, sure they looked really freaking scary, but Spike blushed after taking a 2nd glance, thinking they were beautiful. 'Is it weird that I'm falling for the female version of a guy I killed?'
"So, if you do go to Sunset's, can all three of you go together? I really want you to at least give it a try. But if it doesn't work out, I won't force anyone into this."
"We will." Spike told her. He turned and started walking out ofthe room with the two mares following.
'You think this'll work Bleedy?' Umbra asked Bleeding Heart telepathically.
'Hey, at least 3rd wheel is cute, and we don't have to worry about kids.' Bleeding thought back.
'Well keep an eye on him, he makes one wrong move I'll send him underground.'
'Umbra, he's still little.'
'Solar said he was rather mature for his age, so I'm not taking any chances.'
'You worry too much.'
'Just looking out for my favorite mare.'
'Oh, you..."
Later, Spike, Bleeding Heart and Umbra exited the castle.
"Prince Spike!" cried a griffon flying over in panic.
"Huh?"
"It's them! They've returned! Don't worry, they didn't fool us with their brighter colors!"
"Who returned? Discord?"
"No, his 6 minions!"
Spike's eyes widened in fear with the two mares taking a set of serious expressions.
"Shall I warn your mother young prince?"
"No need, we shall assist in stopping them." interjected Umbra in a firm tone. "Go and gather the element bearers and we shall stop them."
"Yes, sir!"
Umbra growled as the griffon flew off. "I do not look like a stallion."
"What does that gender confused guy know, anyone with your level of beauty knows you're a mare." Spike spoke up before blushing at realizing what he said.
Umbra looked right at Spike. "Nopony besides Bleeding's complimented my looks."
He looked away and scratched his cheek while Bleeding Heart giggled.
'He's got a way with words, doesn't he?'
'Shut up!'
"Spike, can you go get the girls? We'll meet up." suggested Bleeding.
"You bet!" Spike then ran off to gather the girls.
"Ready for a battle babe?"
Bleeding Heart kissed Umbra's cheek. "Yes."
Both ran off as the mane six spotted a large castle up ahead.
"Thank goodness we're almost at the castle!" Said Fluttershy.
"Wait, castle? Do you think Celestia and Luna moved here because of Discord?" asked Applejack.
"Well whatever the case, we better get in there!"
"But what if it's locked?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"It's a castle, since when has a castle ever been locked?"
As they got closer, they stopped from a magic blast hitting the ground in front of them. They turned to see who it was. The crowd cheered.
"Alright everyone, leave this to our local heroines!"
"What in the..." started Applejack.
That's when they appeared with Spike on Sunset's back.
"SPIKE!"
"Hear that? They fear you Spike." Trixie assumed.
"Well now it's time to kick their flanks again and again." grinned Lightning Dust.
"I'll bring a stylish end." Added Fleur.
"Fleur De Lis?! What's a famous model like you from Canterlot doing here?" asked Rarity in awe.
"Too beat you to a pulp, duh!" Replied Gilda. "Which goes for the rest of you."
"You got some nerve coming back Glinda." frowned Rainbow Dash. "And Lightning Dust? What are you doing here in Ponyville?"
"We should be asking you lowlifes the same thing!" Spat Cherry Jubilee.
"I thought Cherry was nicer than that?" whispered Pinkie to Applejack.
"It's one heck of a mystery to me...maybe she had some evil secrets I didn't know about when I was working for her." Applejack said back.
"Sunset, what are you doing? I thought I reformed you!"
"Reformed? Big words coming from the unicorn who took my offer of friendship and threw it back in my face!" she hissed back.
"What?!" Gasped Twilight.
"I've had enough, let's take these jerks down!" Said Trixie.
"Bring it!" spoke Rainbow with her hooves up like a boxer.
"We can end this peacefully, we're willing to talk." Spike said to the mane six.
"Spike, why are you on their side?" asked Pinkie in confusion.
Then everyone turned to Spike. "Because..." Spike thought fast and continued to speak. "Because I'm totally lost here!"
"Huh?!" The Opposite Six gasped.
"Spike...what are you talking about?"
"I mean, I get they look like the ones who just attacked, but I think these are my friends." Spike pointed to the mane six.
"Now that you mention it...Fluttershy doesn't have her manticore with her." Gilda pointed out.
"And they're a brighter shade of their coats." Said Fleur-De-Lis.
"And Rarity's not wearing her armor." spoke Cherry.
"And isn't she a bit...shorter?"
"And this Rainbow Dash is way lamer." remarked Lighting tapping said pegasus' nose.
Rainbow Dash decided not to resort to violence.
"Wait, how do we know Twilight didn't cast a spell to disguise them?" spoke Sunset with narrowed eyes.
"Perhaps we can help." Said Bleeding Heart and Umbra.
"Cadence?!"
"You, I can believe knows my former name, I mean after all, I did babysit you."
"W...What happened to you?!" she exclaimed before looking at Umbra. "King Sombra?!"
"Is everyone to call me Sombra and not Umbra today?"
"Uh, girls? This is Queen Umbra, not Sombra." clarified Spike.
"Wait, a female Sombra?!" The mane six shouted.
"And we both just married Spike today." Said Umbra.
"Spike, you married somepony that you killed in our world?!"
"Technically it's not official." he clarified.
"What did they say about you killing me?"
"It's...a long and complicated story. But the fact they brought it up shows without a doubt that these six are my friends."
"Spike...what do you mean by that?" Asked Sunset Shimmer.
"I'm not your Spike."
The girls blinked before Gilda put a claw to his head. "You sure you didn't catch a fever?"
"I'm sure." Spike replied. "Now, let's go into the castle and get to know each other."
"Yeah, like what you meant by that." spoke Lightning crossing her hooves.
"Why won't you trust me on this? They ain't gonna attack, right girls?"
They all nodded.
"I see honesty in thier nods."
"I meant the him not being our Spike!"
"Well, as it turns out, some mysterious force brought me here by accident and I replaced the Spike in this world, now he's in my subconscious." he replied while twiddling his claws at seeing all their stares. 'Heh...oh boy...'
