Instinctively Hinata pushed Sanji behind her. She activated her byakugan but there were to many people.

More screams were coming from all over the room. Hinata tried to find her teammates but it was impossible in the chaos, her best bet was to stay close to Sanji in case he needed protection.

"Come on." Hinata took hold of Sanji's hand. "We need to get you out of here." She started pulling him through the crowd.

"What about my parents?"

"Don't worry. I'm sure they will be safe." Hinata prayed that her friends had found the Daimyo and were taking care of him.

Utter chaos was happening in the ballroom. People were running all over the place and getting in Sasuke's way.

He tried to spot Hinata in the crowd but she was nowhere to be seen. Sasuke planned on looking for her but no sooner did the screams come did an army of men appear in the ballroom.

They were all wearing similar clothes and had masks that covered their face much like the masks wore by ANBU. And they quickly surrounded Sasuke.

"Big mistake." Sasuke crouched into position. He did not have his sword or weapons pouch but his body was a weapon.

In the blink of an eye he was standing behind one of the men and hit him in his neck. The man collapsed to the ground. Sasuke grabbed his sword and attacked the others.

"Sasuke!" The Uchiha watched as the last of the men fell to the ground and looked over to see his blonde friend calling his name. "What?"

"The Daimyo was attacked." Naruto explained. "Shino was there to intercept but we have taken him to a safe place. Sakura, Shino, and Kiba are currently guarding him and his wife."

"What about Hinata?"

"I thought she was with you?"

Suddenly Sasuke felt a pit in his stomach.

Hinata kept on running still pulling Sanji along with her. She had her byakugan activated as she ran down the different hallways.

"Hinata slow down." Sanji called out. "I think we are safe."

Hinata stopped and dropped his hand. "I just want to be careful."

"I get that but I need to get back to my father." Sanji turned to head back but was stopped when a kunai landed in front of him.

"I don't think you are going anywhere." A mysterious voice called out.

Hinata instantly spotted the man. She grabbed the imbedded kunai and threw it into the darkness.

"Someone has good eyesight." The man stepped out of the shadows as he pulled the kunai out of his shoulder. "But its not going to help you out here."

Hinata stepped in front of Sanji and blocked him from the man. "What do you want?"

"Simple. I want the Daimyo's son."

"I don't think so." Hinata got into her Gentle Fist stance.

The man seemed surprised by her actions. "Stop trying to be hero and go back to being the pretty damsel." The man laughed.

"Hinata….what are you doing?" Sanji whispered.

"Just stay behind me." She ordered. Then with a quick burst of speed Hinata attacked the man.

Her opponent had no chance to protect himself. With a few jabs the man was on the ground. But before Hinata could take pride in her victory a barrage of kunai and shurken came her way. With her byakugan she was able to block them all and they fell to her side.

Another man jumped down from the ceiling in front of her. With a sword he attacked her.

Hinata dodged in the nick of time and cart wheeled away to get some distance. Once recollected, she sent chakra to her feet and went into a burst of speed she then attacked the man with another series of jabs. He too fell to the ground.

Sanji was standing to the side his eyes wide in shock.

Hinata turned and gave him a serious look. "We need to get you out of here." She grabbed his hand and took off running. She turned down one hallway but she quickly realized that it was a big mistake.

Soon a group of masked men blocked the way. The two turned to run from where they came but more men blocked it.

They were trapped.

Hinata gritted her teeth in frustration. "How are these men able to block my byakugan?"

But she had no time to ask questions. Hinata went straight on the offense and with the speed that Sasuke had taught her she attacked the men. One by one the men fell to the ground as she attacked their systems.

Breathing heavily Hinata stood surrounded by another group of the masked men.

"Hinata!"

Hinata looked over to see Sanji with a blade held up to his neck by a taller man in a monstrous looking mask.

"Continue and he dies right where he's standing. Stop and he will live."

Hinata calculated her choices. She was outnumbered and she didn't know if backup was coming she really had no choice. With a sense of despair Hinata dropped her hands and relaxed her stance.

"Now that's a good girl." Sanji's captured laughed. "Cuff her."

They tied her hands behind her back and made them so tight they made Hinata wince. Not a moment later Hinata felt a sharp pain to the back of her neck and then everything went black.

The team first took care of the Daimyo and soon found out that Sanji was missing as well.

"I saw the two of them dancing together before the attack." Kiba noted.

Sasuke pushed his anger about Sanji and Hinata dancing away. There were more important things he had to worry about…like making sure Hinata was safe.

"They're probably together." Sakura said. "That's good at least. Hinata can protect Sanji."

"Yes but we don't know how many of those men are still around." Shino pointed out.

"Then lets go find her." Sasuke made a move for the exit.

"Sasuke wait!" Sakura called out. "We can't just leave the Daimyo and Madam Shijimi."

"Go." Gaara walked in with Naruto. "I'll take care of them while you go look for Hinata."

Sasuke gave the Kazekage a nod of thanks before he headed off with the others following close behind.

"Kiba find Hinata's scent." Sasuke ordered.

Kiba gave him a nod then sniffed the air. "Lavender and vanilla down the south hallway."

"That has to be her." Sasuke said. "Come on." With a burst of speed he left the others behind.

He went down the hallway and came to a sudden stop when he saw the scene in front of him.

"You finally slowed down." Naruto stopped next to him. "We need to st…" But the sentence was dropped when they all looked over at the large group of men lying on the floor.

Sasuke slowly walked forward to the closest man. He crouched down to get a closer look. "I don't get it. He's not moving but he's still breathing." Sakura came to crouch next to him. "It's like he had been frozen." She touched his neck. "His pulse is normal and it seems like his vitals are normal too. What happened to him?"

"That would be Hinata." Kiba and Shino were suddenly standing over them.

"What do you mean?" Sakura looked up at them. "Hinata's gentle fist attacks the chakra network but everything else is the same. All these men seem to be petrified."

"With the regular gentle fist yes. The person would either be unconscious or even dead if their heart was attacked but what you guys are seeing is Hinata's new style."

"New style?" Sasuke asked.

Kiba nodded. "It's of Hinata's own creation. Using her kekkei genkai she has invented a new style of gentle fist." He crouched down to the man. "Instead of attacking the person's chakra network this new technique attacks a person's nervous system. Basically it makes them immobile but keeps them alive. It's this new style that helped to get her promoted into the black ops."

"Wow. That's amazing!" Naruto exclaimed. "I didn't know Hinata had it in her."

Sasuke smirked. He did.

He had misjudged her at first but now he knew better. Hinata was not someone to mess with. He stood up and started walking around the other men. They all had the same look of shock on their faces.

"Let's wake one of them up and get them to tell us what happened to Hinata and Sanji." Naruto suggested.

"It's not that simple." Shino pushed his glasses back into place. "The only person that can fix their nervous system is Hinata."

"Great. Now we have no idea where she is." Naruto sighed.

"Well there doesn't seem to be any blood." Sakura pointed out. "Maybe she got away safely." She offered.

"No she hasn't." Sasuke was in the middle of the bodies looking down at the floor. Slowly, he crouched down and picked something off the ground.

It was a simple necklace with a crown pendent on it.

He clutched the delicate piece in his hand. The aura around Sasuke suddenly changed. Everyone around him could feel the anger radiating off of him. "They've taken her." He looked at the others with determination in his eyes. "And they are going to pay."

Cold.

The first thing that Hinata felt as she came back into consciousness was the freezing temperature. A raging pain in her neck came next. A minute or two later her sight had adjusted to the darkness that surrounded her. She tried to move but her hands were still tied behind her back. She tried to activate her eyes but she couldn't hold it for a minute. "Chakra cuffs." Hinata gritted her teeth. The cuffs were messing with the flow of her chakra making her unable to use any of her moves.

Luckily her kidnappers had not tied her feet so she went to stand. She heard the rattling of chains. She turned her head to see that her cuffs were attached to a chain on the floor. This limited her movement greatly.

"Hinata! Is that you?" Someone called from across the room.

"Sanji?"

Out of the darkness a man came forward. He stopped at the set of bars that separated the two.

"I'm glad to see you awake." Sanji's clothes were dirty and torn. Hinata didn't even want to think about what had happened to her beautiful evening gown.

"Yeah. How are you? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. The people haven't come down in a long time."

"How long have I been out?"

"I'm not quite sure. My guess would be half a day."

"Half a day!" This wasn't good. She had hoped that Sasuke and the others had realized that they were missing and come after them. "Do you know where we are or who we are dealing with?"

Sanji looked down and shook his head. "I'm afraid not. They covered my face with a bag before we left the palace. And as for the kidnappers…I have no clue what they want with us."

Hinata tried once again to get free from the cuffs but it was no use.

"Hey why are you cuffs and chained but I'm not?" Sanji asked.

Hinata sighed. "I think they figured it out."

"Figured out what?"

"The truth is…I'm not a princess." She looked over. "My real name is Hinata Hyuga and I am from the village of Konoha. My team and I were sent undercover to protect your father from a possible assassination."

Sanji stood there for a moment in silence just looking at her before he finally spoke. "So you are not engaged to Sasuke and all of you are ninja?"

"Correct. Actually Sasuke's full name is Sasuke Uchiha."

Sanji's eyes went wide when he heard the name Uchiha. Hinata had no doubt he was recalling the conversation that took place at the tea party.

"Also on our team is Naruto Uzumaki."

"The shinobi that defeated Obito and Madara?"

Hinata nodded. "I'm hoping that those two plus the others will find us."

Sanji sighed. "I hope you are right."

Sasuke was practically a blur as he jumped from tree to tree. The only thing that slowed him down was the fact that dog breath was currently leading the way with his nose.

Hinata had been missing for over a day and although he would never admit it, Sasuke was actually starting to worry. He could only hope that she was okay.

"I don't get it." Naruto broke the silence. "I thought that these guys were after the Daimyo. Why would they kidnap Sanji?"

"I believe that because their assassination attempt failed they had to do something else so they kidnapped his son." Shino explained.

"They can practically demand anything they want." Sakura added. "Sanji is the only child. The Daimyo and his wife will surely do anything to bring him back."

"So it's our job to rescue Hinata and Sanji and bring them back home." Naruto nodded in determination.

Sasuke stayed quiet. He had barely talked since he had found the necklace. It was currently in his pocket. A constant reminder that he needed to find her.

He had lost so many important people in his life; he wasn't going to lose one more, especially someone like Hinata.

There were no windows so Hinata could not see the sun to get an idea on the time. Not knowing how long they had been stuck in this prison was driving her crazy. She had to find a better use of her time then staring out into the darkness. So she decided to concentrate on her cuffs.

On the outside they looked like the standard chakra cuffs, but there was something off about them. The ones that she knew simply cut off a person's chakra network. These particular cuffs did something different. When she was just sitting there the cuffs seemed like normal restraints. They only took affect when she tried to use her chakra.

"If I can figure out how these cuffs work then maybe I can get out of them." So Hinata started to play with her restraints. She experimented with using different amount of chakra and seeing their reaction. It was taking a lot out of her but she was starting to understand them better.

From what she had gathered the cuffs were unique in the way they handled their captive. They only took affect when the person tried to use his or her chakra. It would absorb the chakra and then use it against its captive. So the more a person tried to use their chakra the more the cuffs were attack. But this was all speculation. To truly find out how they worked Hinata would have to activate her byakugan and she didn't want to think about what the cuffs would do to her.

Hinata looked over to Sanji's cell, and with only the dim lighting of one lamp, she could barely make out his figure as it was hunched over.

Sanji was not trained for this kind of stuff. Who knows how long his body or his mind could handle this type of treatment.

No, Hinata had to use her eyes. Not herself but for Sanji's sake.

So with one deep breath Hinata activated her kekkei genkai.

The draining feeling from the cuffs was instantaneous but Hinata pressed on using every ounce of her chakra. Thanks to her nearly 360 degree vision she was able to see the restraints even though they were tied behind her back. She was a bit shocked by what she saw.

She had been right about how they took the captive's chakra and used it against them. What she did not expect to see was that the cuffs seemed to have their very own chakra network. She was able to see the flow of chakra through the restraints.

The complexity of these cuffs was something she had never seen before. Hinata deactivated her eyes and took a break. The cuffs had drained more of her chakra then she had expected. She needed to rest a bit before she attempted to break loose.

"Hey Hinata are you alright?" Sanji walked over to the wall that split them.

"Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit tired."

Sanji sighed. "Yeah I know what you mean. I want to sleep but I'm afraid that if I do that something is going to happen to me."

"If you want, I will keep watch while you sleep for a bit." Hinata offered.

"Don't you want to sleep too?"

"I'm fine. I was practically asleep for a day when I went unconscious plus I was trained to stay awake for long periods of time."

"I guess you're right." Sanji walked over and sat against the wall. "Thanks Hinata."

Hinata watched as he quickly fell asleep. "He must have really been tired to fall asleep that fast." She then went back to her cuffs. "I need to get out of these but how?" Hinata let out another deep sigh. Here she was capture by the enemy yet again waiting for her comrades to save her. She was so sick of being the damsel in distress. "NO! I'm not going to sit around and wait for them. I will figure this out on my own." Hinata closed her eyes and concentrated. "Whoever created these cuffs was smart. I don't even think Naruto or Sasuke could get out of them even with such a large amount of chakra." That's when Hinata's eyes shot open.

"That's it!" She exclaimed quietly but with excitement. "A large amount of chakra." She had been looking at these cuffs completely wrong.

The creator made these with the assumption that the captive would use up all their chakra to try and escape. That's naturally what any captive would do. They would use every bit of their energy to try and escape. But sometimes a little can go a long way.

Hinata took a deep breath and steadied her rapid beating heart and focused. Slowly she sent a small flow of chakra to the cuffs. And just like she had thought, the restraints did not drain her as much as before. And the more she sent the chakra the less they had an affect on her. Hinata rotated her wrists a bit and the cuffs seemed to loosen.

"Yes, that's it." She mumbled as she continued the flow. She kept moving her wrists and the restraints were not as tight as before. And then when she felt the cuffs had weakened enough she sent a large burst of chakra.

It was that sudden burst of chakra that finally did it and a moment later Hinata heard a crack.

She instantly stood up with triumph. She looked down and saw that the cuffs had broken in half but they were still on her wrists like bracelets. But she didn't care. They no longer worked and she was free that was what mattered.

"Now its time to get out of here."
