Bliss… absolute bliss surrounded Natsuki as she held Shizuru in her arms. Her body was still on fire from their love making but this was different. Natsuki knew there was a small tiny history between her and Shizuru but she never know it would be like this. She admitted to herself a long time ago that she loved Shizuru in school, she was a closet fan girl and loved everything about the mysterious blonde but never in a million years would Shizuru be in her arms. She looked to her sleeping face and brushed fingertips over such soft skin. In the moonlight she looked like a pale ghost from Natsuki's thoughts but more real than reality will allow. She touched lips that she drank from and desire swelled with in her chest, more, she wanted more. Natsuki kissed Shizuru's forehead and held her tighter never willing to let her go. Maybe it was the way she made love to Natsuki, so desperate, so all consuming, it was as if Shizuru wanted to tattoo her soul on her skin. After all of booze, the drugs, and the more unsavory aspects of her life she just wanted to make everything right, right with Nina, and gods hoping right with her life with this glorious woman by her side.

"NOO!" Shouted Shizuru jarring from sleep and popping to her feet. Natsuki screamed out from the abrupt change in her lovers slumber. Natsuki watched as Shizuru threw on clothes and she did the same.

"Shizuru what's going?" Natsuki asked and she was dressed and in boots as Shizuru found her guns and her naginata. Natsuki gulped as Shizuru thrust the gun into her hands and then quickly made her way through their dwelling.

"Shoot any, and anything that moves."

"What's going on?"

"We have been found," Shizuru turned around and with the saddest look apologized as she continued to walk, "Remember if it moves, shoot it, don't worry about me and don't worry about the priestesses. "

"How do you know?" Natsuki asked and then Shizuru threw open the sliding door to behold the main temple in flames and priestesses engaged in battle with people dresses in black. It looked like a bad samurai movie then she saw Shizuru sprint across the garden screaming only one word. It was a name. Natsuki looked to where she was running and saw black hair with blue streaks just like hers and her body froze.

"Nina!" Shizuru screamed as she flew across the garden. She ran with another gun in her hands and hoped that Natsuki would fire if anyone got close to her. Nina was her priority and as she saw that figure from the past with her arms around that little girl a fire erupted in her stomach. She felt a familiar tinge in her fingers that clutched her naginata and for a moment she swore she felt that old power surge through her, that old power that should have died at the end of the festival and miraculously she blasted by her fallen mother that fought Miyu for the possession of the child. She flew down those slick steps and shoved the gun in the back of her jeans and expanded her naginata . She boat was pulling away but Shizuru swiped at Miyu and was blocked by one of her sword arms. Frozen in place as both Shizuru and Miyu stood their ground Shizuru looked toward the boat. There was Nina and behind she a flash of red as she was pulled into a life vest. Shizuru's gaze turned back to Miyu and she stopped her fight and pulled her weapon away, Miyu retracted her swords.

"It has been a long time Shizuru, let's go and see to your mother. She fought wonderfully," said Miyu in her mechanical yet lyrical voice. Shizuru sighed and sprinted up the stairs. When she came to her mother she steeled herself for the worst. She wasn't prepared to see her mother, her trainer, her own idol stretched out on the floor leaning against the wall with blood pooling out of her crisp white robes. The contrast of red on while , blood on white roses, stained beyond repair. Beyond repair flew across her thoughts again and she turned toward Miyu and in a silent communication Miyu scanned Hanako. Shizuru took Hanako's hand as Natsuki came up the stairs. The fighting stopped as if a black plague came over the temple then vanished leaving only their dead behind.

"She is losing blood quickly but if she can be stitched up I believe she would stand a good chance as soon as she got to a hospital but we need to leave promptly. Would you like me to offer medical assistance Hanako?"

"Yes Miyu, I would then will you help me to the boat in storage, I'm afraid they blew the other one," Hanako breathed then smiled at Shizuru.

"Why would we accept help from the enemy mother?"

"Oh my blind dear child, Miyu isn't the enemy. It is the people who giver her directives," Hanako caressed Miyu's cheek, "I mean no offense for what I said Miyu."

"It is alright and appreciate you taking into consideration my feelings as an android," Miyu said distantly as she worked on Hanako's wound.

Shizuru sighed. Her mother was right. Miyu really was nothing more than a highly advanced machine, a tool for the Sears Foundations but no matter what they say the messenger gets shot. Miyu was a messenger. To her right she felt Natsuki's stillness. She turned toward her lover and saw the gun dangling by her fingertips and the tears welling up in her eyes. Her lips worked but nothing came out. He knees buckled and with chilling thud of her kneecaps on stone Shizuru wrapped her arms around her lover. She murmured in Natsuki's ear that she had, everything will be ok, she will take care of everything. Natsuki clutched to Shizuru shaking her head over and over.

"I am assuming you had nothing with this Mother, you know, being part of the Sears Foundations yourself?" Shizuru whispered. Hanako simply shook her head. She wasn't a part of it this time.

"Oh your mother didn't have any idea, Shizuru, none of you did," Miyu chimed as she finished up with Hanako's wound, "We tracked you."

"How did you get trackers past me?" gritted Shizuru holding a near hysterical Natsuki.

"Nanomachines that had been ingested over time. We can track Natsuki anywhere on the planet and she would not show up as having a tracker on her. Short of microwaving her, or electrocution she is forever 'on the grid, 'Miyu explained while helping Hanako to her feet.

"Can she receive a small shock to shut down the nanomachines?" Asked Shizuru stroking her hair.

"If you want me to I can supply such a charge but at a price," Miyu said as she stood and began to walk with Hanako to the lower caves. Shizuru stood with Natsuki.

"Do it," ordered a strong husky voice. Shizuru removed her arms from around Natsuki and watched as she walked toward Miyu.

"Kill them all," she ordered as she extended her hand. Miyu looked at Natsuki and then grasped her hand.

The shock, funny choice of words, knocked Natsuki out. She felt pain then she woke up on the boat traveling back to the city. Shizuru drove as Miyu watched the vitals of Hanako and Natsuki. Natsuki watched Shizuru and clenched and unclenched her fist. Then her rubbed her fingertips to her thumb as if they were tingling. Natsuki knew every inch of that woman's body but she never knew her finger tips her slightly white and, Natsuki swallowed, faintly glowed blue.

"She is still figuring it out Natsuki," whispered a voice in her ear. Miyu smiled then turned to Hanako and Hanako nodded. "The Sears Foundation never knew power than the power they witnessed in the last Fuuka Battles. Shizuru's was the most powerful of all time but it came at a price," Miyu explained.

"What price?" Natsuki whispered.

"Her innocence," Miyu's voice cut through Natsuki, "in order to protect the one she held most dear to her she gave up her innocence, in a way sacrificed it so her loved one could live. The Sears Foundation is using Shizuru right now. They are trying to tap into her power and trying to force her to create another child."

"But I thought that was all over," Natsuki said confused.

"They are trying to force her power back. They wasn't to see if a previous hime can make her child reappear. They never met a power like hers, so years later after obtaining her secret heart's desire, could she open the gate for her child to reappear when they threaten you. What those idiots don't understand is that you are not her most important person anymore," Hanako said and Natsuki's head turned and asked.

"You are as blind as that one Natsuki. Her most important person is Nina, and she is trying to conjure every bit of hidden power to face an entire organization to say your daughter."

Natsuki looked back to Shizuru and watched as she opened her hand as if trying to grasp a weapon. Over and over she watched and she could swear her fingers began to glow brighter, a dull blue glow that now spread to her whole hand. Natsuki looked to Hanako and the woman nodded.

When the boat arrived Shizuru was back in to assassin mode. Miyu and Hanako went to the hospital and Shizuru and Natsuki went to her compound. There will be hell on earth, and Shizuru will bring it to them.
