Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Alternate Universe

Hey guys and gals, J here with my longest chapter yet, Remember to read the Explanations section at the end of the chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own star wars. That belongs to either George Lucas, or is it Disney now? Nor do I own any other series I use to advance the plot (Such as Call of Duty) those things belong to their respective creators.

Summary: Darth Bane devised a plan that would allow him and Zannah to be able to prevent the title of Dark Lord of the Sith from falling into the hands of an unworthy successor, all they needed to do was 'die'. For the past thousand years they have been using unaltered clones of themselves as vessels, and have watched over their order. On the day Darth Plagueis died by the hand of his apprentice, Darth Sidious, their worst fears were realized, and so they sprung their plan to retake the Order of Sith Lords.

CHAPTER 8

Rainah sat at the controls of her YT -1760, guiding the little ship to the hangar she would be using for the time being. She was amazed to see that the Omek Farmstead was now Omek Spaceport, it reminded her of Mos Eisley now.

After carefully guiding the ship to what a man named Marlton had said was her personal hangar, she remained seated in the pilot's seat, taking steady breaths in an attempt to calm herself. She hasn't been here since she decided to become a smuggler at age fourteen. That was twelve years ago.

"I know this place holds a lot of good memory's for you, and I've probably asked you this a million times over, but I'll ask one last time: are you sure you're ready for this?"

The man who asked her the question had been yje one constant in her life since her parents died, Jason Frey, a Jedi Knight with a talent for lightsaber combat.

Rainah looked her companion and said, "No, but it's nothing a little sparring match won't fix later."

His grey eyes showed compassion towards his charge, he could tell how distressed she was, he could sense it. The man was 5' 10", eight inches shorter than her father had been, with his coal black hair kept in a somewhat wild ponytail. He wore a black leather tunic and gloves, along with a black hooded cloak that kept his specially designed Lightsabers hidden from sight.

The handles were no longer than the average lightsaber, but they possessed an emitter plate on both ends. Jason used this design to allow himself the ability to switch grip styles between traditional and reverse grip with the push of a button.

Rainah could be seen as a clone of her mother who wore a blueish grey, long-sleeve tunic, fingerless gloves, and combat boots. She has a blaster on her belt, but it's not the weapon she's best with. The woman also has a knack for lightsaber combat, showing skill in Soresu, Ataru, Djem So, Niman, and Juyo. She keeps two Dual-phase Lightsabers with interlocking hilts inside her Tunics sleeves. The blades were just under a meter under most circumstances and a meter and a half with the duel-phase function active.

Jason was the one who taught her how to use her lightsabers, and how to use the force to a limited degree. Rainah had a hard time with using the force the way the Jedi do, so she tends to use the Dark Side when in combat. That being said, she is fully aware of Dark Side Rot, so she essentially bathes herself in the calming power of the Light Side immediately after, undoing the damage done by using the Dark Side.

Zannah was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She knew that she was the only thing keeping the other force sensitives from being discovered thanks to putting up her spell of concealment on reflex. Bane grabbed a hold of his wife, calming her before saying, "We have to head back to our respective homes on the double."

Everyone present immediately got a move on, using the tunnels to get to their respective homes in less than ten minutes, one hour to prepare.

XxX

Jason and Rainah made their way through the streets of the Spaceport. Rainah saw many unfamiliar faces, but wasn't surprised, the place was a Spaceport after all. As she continued to walk through the streets, she ended up bumping into a a blond woman a few years younger the herself. She was wearing a purple spaghetti strap shirt with a military jacket over it, and blue jeans. It wasn't until they made eye contact that Rainah realized who it was. "Karma?"

While Karma already knew that Rainah was on Ambria thanks to Zannah's major panic attack, she was not expecting to see her older sister. (AN: She was adopted by Bane and Zannah, remember? Well more like Zannah adopted her and Bane just nodded his head, but you get the point.) "Rainah, Oh my god, it is you!"

they embraced one another in a sisterly hug, after which Rainah asked, "So how's my little sister doing?"

Jason's head jerked in Rainah's direction, "You have a sister?" The was a hint of panic in his voice, and for good reason, too. He knew how dangerous Rainah could be when angry.

"My parents adopted her when I was ten, giving me a little four year old sister with the second brightest blue eyes on the planet, the first being my own at the time, and I assure you she isn't Force-Sensitive," Explained Rainah.

Jason let out a breath that he wasn't even aware he had been holding.

"You can use the force?" asked Karma who was thankful that Zannah had taught her how to guard her thoughts.

Rainah's eyes immediately turned glassy as she remembered the incident on coruscant, "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about what happened when I found out about our... Parents."

Karma could tell it made her sister uncomfortable, so she was about to drop it, but Rainah had other plans.

"Why don't you round up the gang, and I'll tell you guys what happened, alright?"

Her eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly regained her composure and nodded her head before going to find the rest of their friends.

Jason stared in awe of the woman before him, he knew how much it hurt for her to recant the tale that led to their meeting, the fact that she was willing to do so showed him how strong she has become.

"Stop gawking like that," Rainah said calmly, "people are starting to stare."

XxxX

Zannah had been informed by Karma of Rainah's decision, giving her time to drag Bane into their bedroom so they could relieve themselves of their stress.

XxxX

Jason remained quiet as he followed the two sisters to the Neeks Nest Cantina. He could hardly believe that he was seeing Rainah act in such a carefree manner. It put a smile on his face, knowing that she was still human.

When they finally arrived, they went straight to a private room, where Rainah saw several familiar faces.

Section and Harper were in the middle of an arm wrestling match.

Anderson was chatting it up with Veronica, who was sitting beside a man she had never met before.

James was leaning against the wall, and seemed to have been keeping watch for their arrival. "Look what the cat dragged in," he said loud enough to get everyone's attention, costing Section the match.

"Is it me, or does the princess look like she's trying to hide the fact that she's a princess," Joked Harper, who is being half serious.

"I'm no princess Harper, never have been, never will be," countered Rainah. If only she knew.

She then walked to the comlink that customers used to give the bartender their order from one of these private rooms, "Can I get a bottle of Cortyg Brandy and a set of shot glasses to go with it?"

Rainah's childhood friends couldn't keep the shock off their faces, Cortyg Brandy was a wookiees drink that came in two versions: the Wilder side that the wookiees drank, and the Tamer Cortyg made for offworlders. That being said, the Tamer variant was too strong for Bane's tastes, who had first tried it back on Apatros just before he left to join the armies of the Sith Brotherhood of Darkness.

The Bartender knew that Cortyg was NOT something the locals ordered, "Mind if I ask who this is?"

Rainah found this to be very aggravating and decided to walk to the door and yell, "Rainah Omek, what's it to ya?"

The entire Cantina went silent upon hearing who it was in the Neeks Nest Cantina.

"She looks just like her mother."

"I thought she was Rain when I saw her walk in here with Karma."

"Come to think of it, Rain could pass for a clone of Alliah."

"It's probably a coincidence, which isn't that hard to believe when you consider how big the Galaxy is, there's bound to be someone out there who looks just like you do."

"True that."

Rainah made a mental note to find out more about this Rain person as she went back to her seat.

Rainah sighed deeply and asked, "What's your name stranger?"

The stood up and saluted Rainah saying, "John Mactavish, Ma'am, but you can call me Soap like everyone else does."

Rainah looked at him like he had grown a second head and asked, "What kinda name is Soap?"

"What kinda name is Rainah," he countered.

Rainah scowled and said, "The one my parents gave me."

Soap knew he had fucked up and immediately apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that, I only say that because people ask me that same question all the time."

Rainah took a deep breath before saying, "I know you didn't mean to hurt my feelings, but you did." She paused for a few seconds, making Jason very nervous before she sent a low powered blast of Force Lightning at him. As he lay on the ground twitching, Rainah smiled and said, "All is forgiven."

After the bartender brought them what she asked for, the others made their orders. Section and Harper ordered Correllian Spiced Ale, Soap

Her friends were shocked by this display, but weren't surprised by her sending a torrent of violet lightning at Soap. They were surprised to see that she knew how to do so.

"I'll explain everything after we get our drinks," she answered as her eyes briefly glowed yellow before they went back to their original blue.

After the bartender brought them what she asked for, the others made their orders. Section and Harper ordered Correllian Spiced Ale, Soap ordered a Correllian Rum, Anderson a Fox Beer, Karma a Dark Side Daiquiri, and Jason asked for a glass of water.

Rainah poured herself a shot of Cortyg before saying, "It all started when I found out my parents died."

FLASHBACK

Rainah was sitting at the bar of the Outlander Club on Coruscant sipping on a tall glass of Cortyg Brandy, something she had acquired a taste for over the course of the last three days. She had found out that her parents had died four days ago, and had spent that entire day looking for a suitable location to drown her sorrows before finding her current location.

"Care for a Dance sweetheart?"

'Great, this guy again,' she mentally groaned.

"I'll tell you what I said the last five hundred times," she growled, "I just want to be left alone."

"And what are you going to do if I don't, cry to Mommy and Daddy?"

Rainah felt a liquid fire rush through her as she spun around, intending to snap his neck, but by the time she was facing him he was on the floor with his head hanging loosely to the side.

She realized that something was wrong, and admittedly, this is what she wanted, nobody else knew that. Suddenly she was hyper aware of her surroundings, and realized that people were looking at her, more specifically her eyes. She rushed into the ladies room and looked into the mirror to see that her once blue eyes were glowing Yellow.

Afraid and emotionally distraught, Rainah curled up into the corner and began crying.

XxX

Twenty minutes later, four Jedi walked in: Jedi Master Mace Windu, his former Padawan, Jedi Master Depa Billaba, recently promoted Jedi Knight Jason Frey, and a male Miraluka with average length dark brown hair wearing a black tunic with red trimmings under a black hooded cloak.

"Curious," the Miraluka mused to himself.

Mace turned and asked, "Mind telling us what you know, Nanashi?"

"It appears that our Dark Sider is little more than an adolescent who had no idea that she was force sensitive."

"How do you know," Jason asked out of curiosity.

"Her power is much too raw for her to have even been aware of it," he chuckled darkly, "let alone for her to have received any training whatsoever." An almost sinister grin spread across his face, "but her potential is simply amazing, while nowhere near as great as Skywalker's, it's still greater than Yoda's."

The Windu and Billaba were immediately on guard, "Is that everything?"

He walked up to the bar and ordered a Correllian Spiced Ale, "Aside from the fact that she's naturally attuned to the Dark Side, no, nothing."

The other three Jedi would have argued against that, had Nanashi not explained to them that the creator of the Rule of Two had no talent for Sith Sorcery, whereas his apprentice possessed a mastery of the Dark Arts far beyond anything they had on record.

While Billaba was the only female amongst the Jedi, she was not too thrilled with the idea of going in there.

Jason sensed her hesitation, and decided to take matters into his own hands. He walked up to the door, before stopping directly in front of it and knocked. "I'm coming in, whoever you are." He waited five seconds for a reply, and when he didn't get one, he simply walked in to see a girl who looked about his age with her legs pulled into her chest, and her head down, sobbing.

He could tell that she was beautiful, and it hurt to see this girl torn up like this. He didn't know why, but he wanted to help her, to grab hold of her and tell her that everything was going to be alright, that things will get better. He was so wrapped up in these thoughts that he didn't realize that he had sat down beside her until he had done so.

Seeing no other alternative, Jason Frey put his arm around her and said, "In don't know why you're hurting, but you don't have to shoulder it alone."

Rainah slowly turned her head to see a surprisingly rugged young man with compassionate grey eyes sitting beside her.

The first thing Jason noticed was the color of her eyes, they were a glowing yellow, but it faded quickly before she threw her arms around his neck and buried her face into his cloak mumbling about how she just wanted them to come back.

He rubbed her back in a comforting manner, not saying a word.

XxX

Five minutes later, Jason walked out carrying a sleeping blonde who was sniveling due to the irregularity of her breathing. "I couldn't get a name before she passed out from exhaustion, but if what little bit she did say combined the alcohol in her breath tells me anything, it's that she's currently grieving the loss of an undetermined number of people."

XxX

Rainah had no idea where she was when she awoke the next day. 'This bed is definitely NOT the one in my hotel room, so let's go over the last thing I remember, I was at the bar, that fuckface hit on me again, said fuckface insulted.. my... parents...' Rainah shook her head in attempt to see past that, 'moving on, I apparently broke his neck with my mind, ran into the bathroom, saw that my eyes were glowing yellow, and curled up into the corner and started crying for about twenty some minutes before that guy with the soft grey eyes walked in and sat down beside me.'

She sat there for a moment before mumbling, "So I'm either in prison, at the Jedi Temple, or some combination of the two."

She then tossed the covers off to see herself wearing a white nightgown, and that she was in a rather nice room with a window that allows her to see the city, more specifically the Senate building, "Jedi Temple it is."

She looked around the room until she spotted her clothes, cleaned and neatly folded, waiting for her inside what turned out to be the bathroom. "Heh, talk about room service."

XxX

After taking a brief shower and getting dressed, Rainah knew someone had walked into the room, and was sitting on the bed. She walked out cautiously with a towel around her neck to be greeted by the sight of a 10 year old Mirialan girl wearing a dark blue hooded cloak smiling at her, kicking her feet against the side of the bed.

"Hello, my name's Barriss Offee, what's yours?"

"Rainah Omek, mind telling what you're doing in my room?"

Barriss tilted her head to the side and asked, "Your room?"

Rainah brought her right hand to her face and said, "It's not MY room, but you get the point."

"I was sent to check on you," replied cheerfully.

Rainah nodded her head and asked, "Do you know why I was brought here?"

Barriss shrugged her shoulders and hopped down from the bed, "If you want, I can show you around."

Rainah sighed and said, "It's not like I have anything better to do, lead the way kiddo."

Barriss' eyes shown with excitement as she grabbed Rainah's hand and dragged her to their first stop, the Jedi Archives. "This is the Jedi Archives, you can find information on everything in the galaxy here."

"I doubt that," Rainah answered a bit sarcastically.

"Why do you say that," asked Barriss.

Rainah smirked and said, "Because that would mean that there is nothing left to discover."

Barriss' eyes lit up with adoration, "I never thought about it that way before, you're really..." She paused in an attempt to think of a word to describe Rainah.

"I believe the term you're looking for, Youngling, is wise," stated a calm, elderly woman, "I'm not sure we've met, I'm Jocasta Nu, the librarian, given the lack of a better term."

"Rainah Omek," she answered calmly before asking, "Do you know how I got here?"

Master Nu smiled and said, "You were brought here by Jedi Knight Jason Frey, who carried all the way to the room where you slept last night."

'That must be the guy with the soft grey eyes,' Rainah immediately brought her hand to her face and said, "Uuuh, I sound like a love sick fan girl." She then realized that Barriss and Master Nu had no idea what she was talking about. "I keep on referring to the guy who walked into the Ladies Room and comforted me last night as the guy with the soft grey eyes."

Jocasta and Barriss giggled, the former saying, "Jason Frey does have Grey eyes, though I wouldn't call anything about him soft, seeing how his goal is to become a Battle master."

"Can you just tell me where to find him," she snapped, her eyes flashing yellow for the briefest of moments.

Barriss didn't notice because she wasn't looking, but Jocasta did, and made a note to ask Nanashi about this, her childhood friend was more knowledgeable about these kinds of things. A blush lightly dusted her cheeks as she thought about how he hadn't aged a day since he had left the Jedi Order many years ago. She mentally chastised herself for thinking about how the two of them fooled around in their youth and answered the girls question, "He's probably at master Can Drallig's lightsaber instruction class, Barriss can show you where it is."

As the two walked off, she took advantage of the Force Bond shared by herself and the Miraluka to contact him telepathically, 'Jerid, would come to the Archives, I need to talk to you.'

'Trying to rekindle an old flame Jo, because I can make you young again, you were a real looker back in the day.'

Master Nu was fully aware of the fact that Jerid Marr, as he had been known, had turned to the Dark Side when he saw that he would never get a chance to be the Jedi he knew he could be due to his heritage. In fact, it was his return to the Jedi Order that had made them aware of continued existence of the Sith. The man had been the Sith Apprentice to who he claimed to be the most powerful Sith Alchemist of all time, Darth Plagueis the Wise.

'Tell you what; I'll consider your offer, if you can tell what you know about Rainah Omek.'

There was a pause before he replied, 'Never heard of her.'

'She's the girl who you four brought back last night.'

'I'm on my way.'

XxX

Rainah followed Barriss until they came to a more spacious location inside the Temple. Once there, she recognized the man from last night, sparing with a human girl with light skin, black hair, and blue eyes. She appears to be around their age, and is wielding two green lightsabers.

Jason was using his advanced knowledge of the sixth form of lightsaber combat to keep his opponent on her toes. He had been using a reverse grip fighting style, when he suddenly smirked, pressing a button on the hilts, causing the blades to go from one end, to the other.

His opponent was not prepared for this sudden change in tactics, and was quickly subdued.

A man with dark blond hair and blue eyes walked up to the girl and said, "You fought well Serra, and I'm proud to call you my pupil."

He then turned to Jason saying, "I am beyond impressed with your skills, Jason, your mastery of Form VI is simply amazing, I believe that you may one day surpass Exar Kun in terms of skill."

Upon seeing the confused looks he was receiving he gave a summarization of who Exar Kun was, "long story short, Exar Kun was a Jedi turned Sith who happens to be the most skilled From VI user to have ever lived."

"That would probably be a whole lot more encouraging if the guy wasn't a Sith Lord," said Rainah, making her presence known.

Jason turned to see the same blond from last night, "Oh, hello, I'm-"

"Jason Frey, I know, the old lady from the Archives told me your name," she interrupted before extending her hand saying, "Rainah Omek."

"Old Lady from the Archives," Barriss asked curiously.

Rainah groaned and said, "I couldn't remember her name, so I just went with what I could remember about her, okay?"

Jason smiled and said, "I'll take it from here, Barriss, you can go tell the Council that she's with me."

Barriss nodded and skipped her way to the Council Chambers.

Jason motioned her to follow him, which she did, at which point he asked, "Last night, you kept on saying that you just wanted them to come back." He turned to see Rainah had stopped, and hesitated before asking, "Who were you talking about?"

Rainah walled over to a large window, and stood there visibly on the verge of having an emotional breakdown.

Jason regretted hurting her like he just did, "you don't have to answer if you do-"

"My parents," she answered as she fought to keep herself from crying, "I found out that they died five days ago."

Jason thought for a moment and asked, "Were you close?"

"Yes," she replied, "though I was closer to my father than I was to my mother."

Jason put his hand under her chin, bringing her eyes to his, "For what it's worth Rainah, I'm sorry for your loss."

In hindsight, Jason should have seen what Rainah did next coming.

"YOU KISSED HIM!?" Karma yelled in complete shock.

Anderson was having a hard time believing it too, "What the in the eight Correllian Hells possessed you to kiss a Jedi?"

Rainah was blushing up a storm and Jason wasn't doing much better, "I don't know, he was the first guy to actually try and make me feel better, and it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes."

"We're getting off track," stated Veronica, "please continue."

Jason didn't know how to handle the situation at hand, but soon enough his more primal instincts took over, resulting in him kissing her back.

"If it weren't for the fact that I'm more aware of how difficult the situation that you're currently in, Frey, I'd be a lot harder on you about kissing her."

Jason and Rainah separated in an instant to see a grinning Miraluka and Jocasta Nu standing before them. Rainah turned her head in a desperate, but futile attempt to hide her embarrassment mumbled, "I shouldn't have done that."

"Well, that depends on what you did," the grinning bastard asked, "and no I didn't see, because I'm a Miraluka."

Rainah had no doubt that he knew what they did, he just wanted to hear her say it. She had her mouth open, trying to form the words before saying, "I shouldn't have kissed him."

"Thank you for admitting that you did," he then leaned forward and said, "Between you and me, I think that being forbidden to love is probably the dumbest rule in the Jedi Order."

Jocasta rolled her eyes and asked, "Are you done teasing them Jerid?"

He immediately scowled and said, "You know the only reason you're allowed to call me by my given name is because you're about the only person in our age group that cared enough to associate with Jerid Marr of the Tainted Line of Darth Nihilus, right?"

"Of course," she then turned to the two and said, "Jerid is currently in a special form of exile, that forces him to give up his identity, as a result he is to be referred to as Nanashi."

Rainah and Jason were still processing the fact that the Miraluka before them was a part the same age group as Jocasta Nu.

"If you're wondering how is it possible for me to be older than her, all I can tell you is that it's a secret." He then turned to his friend and said, "I'll talk to you some other time, Jo, since I am to take these two to the council chambers so we can sort this thing out, in the meantime, please consider my offer."

Jocasta chuckled and said, "I'll think about it."

Nanashi perked up and asked, "You will?"

"Will you get going you damned Sith Lord!?"

As they made their way to the Council Chambers, Jason asked, "Sith Lord?"

"I'm the expert on the Dark Side, the Sith, and anything else even remotely connected to one of the two," he answered.

Rainah was especially curious, "Why is that?"

He stopped and said, "Let's just say that I'm the Revan of our time, and leave it at that."

Rainah wasn't too familiar with the name, but Jason was, "You were once a Sith Lord?"

The man chuckled and said, "Like my ancestors before me, so I too have walked the path of the Dark Side."

"Why did the Jedi train him if the guy is the descendant of two Sith Lords," asked Harper, who then had his face slammed into the table by The Force, courtesy of Rainah.

"I was getting to that, Harper," Rainah growled in annoyance, "I'd appreciate it if all questions were asked after I've finished."

Sensing their confusion, Nanashi decided to explain a bit of his family history, "During Revan's time, there were two individuals that had been affected by the Devastation of Malachor V: The Jedi Exile, and a Sith Lord known as Darth Nihilus. This event had made both individuals walking, talking Wounds in the Force."

Jason already knew that much thanks to his studies, but he couldn't see where he was going with this, yet.

Rainah, who was hearing this for the first time, was captivated by the tale.

"Nihilus would eventually gain the title, 'Lord of Hunger' due to his constant hungering for Force Energy, and active attempts to satisfy it, though in truth, there is no satisfying the Hunger, but I digress. During his hunt for the Jedi, Nihilus eventually came across a female Miraluka whom he would take as his apprentice."

Jason felt something gnawing at the back of his mind, as if he knew the woman's name, but for the life Imogen him, he couldn't remember.

"Her name," he paused making the suspense almost unbearable, "was Visas Marr."

Jason's eyes widened as he realized that this information had not been in the Archive records.

"Surprised that such information was not in the Archive records," he asked mildly amused, "You shouldn't be." The scowl on his face showed great distaste, "The Jedi Order has gone out of its way to keep everything that has anything to do with the Dark Side from seeing the light of day, doubly so if it has some sort of connection to the Sith."

Jason and Rainah were caught off guard by his sudden burst of laughter, "but the best part is how little they know of the term Balance."

Jason was intrigued by what the man had just said, "Would you explain what you mean?"

The Miraluka couldn't help but smile as he answered the question, "Light cannot exist without Darkness, but Darkness does not need Light." He stopped in front of the door to the Council Chambers, "In the end, the Light simply allows us to perceive the existence of the Darkness." The door then opened, revealing the council. Nanashi stood off to the side, "I'll be a spectator for the most part, so long as nobody here says anything stupid."

Rainah was nervous, she felt like she was being put on trial.

Jason saw this and put his hand on her shoulder and said, "I can stay if it'll make you feel more comfortable?"

She smiled and said, "I'd like that."

Master Windu asked the girl, "What is your name, child?"

"Rainah Omek, sir."

"What caused you to lash out the way you did?" Plo Koon inquired.

She took a deep breath and answered, "I found out that my parents had died a few days ago, and the bastard made a snide remark pertaining to them."

"Rejoice for those who have become one with the Force," spoke Yoda, "Mourn them do not, Miss them do not."

Nanashi pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration as he mumbled, "Poor choice of words."

The same liquid fire from last night began to wash over Rainah as she asked, "Don't mourn them? Don't miss them?" Once again her eyes glowed yellow, and the room shook with tremendous force as she screamed, "HOW CAN I NOT MOURN THEM!" The girl then fell to her hands and knees crying as she whispered, "How can I not miss them?"

Yoda went to say something else, but was cut off by Nanashi holding a Crimson Red Lightsaber 3 inches from his face, "I know you mean we'll, and believe me when I tell you that I say this with all possible respect, Shut. Up."

"There are some words of wisdom that better left unsaid, Master Yoda," Mace Windu added.

As Nanashi and Jason helped Rainah to her feet, the former said, "It's alright for you to mourn them, it's alright for you to miss them, just don't let it consume you, and you'll be alright."

Windu then said, "Jason, please take Rainah outside while we discuss what to do."

XxX

Half an hour later, Nanashi walked out and said, "Jason Frey, the council has an assignment for you."

Jason noticed that the Miraluka was extremely pleased about something, and asked, "What is my assignment?"

"You are going to be Rainah's guardian from now on," he then leaned forward and whispered, "I'd suggest instructing her in lightsaber combat, since a Battlemaster is often required to instruct others in the way of the sword."

Jason could tell that this wasn't something the council would approve of, but he knew that a sparring partner was the best tool for sharpening ones skills.

Nanashi then walked up to Rainah and said, "I have a few things I'd like to give you before you leave, so tell me where I can ship, and I'll bring them to you."

Section looked at Rainah and asked, "What did he give you?"

"Blueprints for various lightsaber designs, basic instructions in the various Dark Side Techniques, where to find people who could possibly provide me with more advanced techniques in each field, and how to counter the corrosive effects of Dark Side Rot," she answered

Everyone blinked and asked, "Dark Side Rot?"

Rainah sighed and said, "Prolonged use of the Dark Side damages the body, and the most effective counter is to immerse oneself in the power of the Light Side."

Karma had a question that she knew Zannah would want answered, "So, what are the areas you show the most skill in?"

"I have natural skill in all aspects of Lightsaber Combat if what Jason tells me is true, and have shown skill in the use of elemental applications of the Dark Side, such as Force Lightning, Telekinesis, like how I slammed Harper's face into the table earlier, and in a the area known as Sith Sorcery."

Rainah noticed the looks they were giving her and asked, "You know what Sith Sorcery is?"

"Kinda hard not to when it's so ingrained into Ambria's history," remarked Section.

"The entire reason why we are told to steer clear of Lake Natth is because of all the Dark Side energy sealed at the bottom of the lake," added James.

Rainah blinked a couple times before she suddenly remembered, "Oh yeah, I had completely forgotten about that."

They stayed and talked for a while longer before Harper and Anderson decided to leave, saying something about doing maintenance work.

Veronica and Soap were the next to leave, saying they had to go take care of something.

Karma suddenly remembered why she and David hadn't had their wedding yet, "Rainah, I almost forgot to tell you that David and I are engaged and we wanted you to be the Maid of Honor."

Rainah was surprised by this, but quickly shook it off, "When's the wedding?"

Karma blushed in embarrassment as she explained, "We haven't actually planned anything yet; we wanted to make sure you would be the Maid of Honor before we decided to do anything."

Rainah couldn't believe her little sister would do something so foolish, but was glad she did, "Well you better get started, who knows if any of us will survive this war."

"Amen," spoke Jason.

As Karma and Section went to leave, Jason and Rainah noticed a presence they had not sensed in quite some time. Rainah turned and asked Jason, "Why would Barriss come here of all places?"

James immediately perked up and said, "The day after your cousin Dessel and his friend Rain arrived, a group of Jedi, three masters and two apprentices, showed up saying there had been a disturbance in the force, signifying the death of a powerful Dark Sider."

Jason immediately saw where this was going, "I take it Barriss was one of the apprentices?"

James nodded and said, "You got it."

"It'll be good to see Barriss again," said Rainah, "She was such a sweet child."

usually when she comes to visit Ambria, Barriss would come alone, but the Mirialan had been troubled lately. So in order to keep herself from being consumed by her thoughts, she decided to take her friend Ahsoka with her. "It's hard to believe that this place was a wasteland less than ten years ago," Barriss thought out loud as they walked through the streets.

Ahsoka looked at her friend and asked "What changed all that?"

"A couple decades back, a man named Sepp Omek decided he would put Ambria back on the map," answered Barriss, "But in order to do so, he would need the help of the community, and something worth trading, that something being Ambrian Stew."

"I've actually tried that, it's quite filling," Ahsoka commented.

Barriss smiled before she noticed a familiar face, and waved to him saying, "Hey James!"

James had been walking along side Rainah and Jason, talking to the former when he heard Barriss' voice, "Barriss," he called out with a smile, "good to see you."

Ahsoka saw the way they behaved and could tell that they harbored feelings for one another, but decided to let it go, she was more interested in his companions, the blond who seemed to glow with the Dark Side in particular.

Barriss soon noticed them herself and squealed with joy upon seeing the two, "Jason, Rainah, oh my god, it's so good to see you guys again."

Jason smiled and said, "Good to see you too, pipsqueak."

"You can't get away with calling me that anymore Jason," pouted Barriss.

Rainah smiled and said, "You've grown to be a beautiful woman, Barriss, how have you been?"

Barriss knew she couldn't lie to these two, they were too smart for that too work, "Truth be told, I've been a bit disturbed with the way things are going, we've been winning battles left and right, which seems too convenient if you ask me, but enough about the war, what are you doing here?"

Now that she thought about it, Ahsoka realized that Barriss had a point, while the separatists had plenty of minor victories; the Republic had yet to lose a Major Battle.

Rainah smiled broadly and said, "This is my hometown, kid."

Barriss immediately remembered Dess bringing up Rainah when she first came here on that mission, "How did I not realize that you were the Rainah that Dessel was talking about!?"

James decided to intervene and said, "As much as you girls enjoy talking, I'd like to fulfill a promise I made to Barriss."

"Oh yeah, you were going to treat me to that fine dining restaurant that had opened up last time I visited," said Barriss as she looped her arm around James', "Let's go."

Ahsoka had never seen Barriss act in such an outgoing manner, she was usually so reserved.

"Judging by your expression, Barriss isn't someone who goes out of her way to meet new people is she," asked Rainah, snapping Ahsoka out of her stupor.

"N-no, this is actually the first time I've seen her act this way before," the still shocked torguta answered, "um, why do you-"

Rainah knew what she was going to say and cut her off, "Seem to glow with the power of the Dark Side?"

Ahsoka simply replied, "Yeah."

Rainah sighed and said, "I have a Natural affinity for the Dark Side, but don't really care much for the whole Jedi vs. Sith thing, let alone anything to do with the force to begin with." She scowled a bit as she continued, "Unfortunately, the Jedi don't believe me, and wanted to keep an eye on me, fortunately for them I happen to be rather fond of Jason Frey, so I don't see killing him as something worth doing."

"At least you're being honest," Jason commented with exasperation.

Ahsoka could honestly say that this was one of the strangest days of her life.

As the three made their way to the governor's residence, Ahsoka felt the presence of a certain Dathomirian Assassin nearby along with a similar presence. Ahsoka said, "What's she doing here?"

Jason and Rainah looked to see a bald Dathomirian woman and a tall Dathomirian woman with red hair sitting in a Diner, both of whom were strong in the Force. Rainah asked, "You know either of them?"

(AN: yes, Talzin is a red head, and yes, I have a hard time believing it myself.)

Ahsoka nodded and said, "I'd recognize that Hairless Harpy anywhere."

Ventress was sitting in one of the local Diners with Talzin, going over the menu. "I've got to admit," mused Ventress, "they have a way with words when it comes to the description of their Ambrian stew."

Talzin looked at said meal and read, "A hearty meal made for the working man, by the working man. Contains Staga meat, space carrots, potatoes, and Flurr-cle onions, with salt and black-hole peppers for seasoning." She then said, "It sounds pretty basic."

Asajj asked, "I suppose we're ready to order then?"

Talzin was put her menu down and nodded, causing Ventress to star at her again. She was still adjusting to the sight of the woman in a more, civilian outfit. Talzin had decided to make a more casual dress, and had gone out and purchased the needed materials to make it. It was the same shade of Red as her previous outfit, but it looked more, motherly. She had also decided to let her hair down, revealing its length to be just below her mid-back.

"Who would have thought I'd see you here," called a voice that Asajj knew all too well.

She turned around to see Ahsoka Tano staring her down, flanked by two other force sensitives: a man with long dark brown hair and grey eyes, and a woman that looked like Zannah. Under the Circumstances, Ventress decided to take the safest route, "Ahoska, long time, no see, come have a seat."

Ahsoka blinked a couple times before asking, "Aren't you going to call me a brat, or something?"

"Only if you want me to," Asajj countered, "But if you're wondering why I'm here, the answer is I'm officially living on this planet."

"And being troublemakers is not the image we want to have here," added Talzin.

Ahsoka looked at Ventress' companion before the assassin realized they had never met, "Ahsoka, Talzin. Talzin, Ahsoka. Now sit your butt down."

And so the three of them did just that.

A little while later, Jason and Rainah were standing outside Dessel's office. "You sure you're ready for this," asked the Jedi Knight.

"As I'll ever be," answered Rainah as she took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"It's open," answered a deep masculine voice.

The two walked into the office to see a bald man wearing eyeglasses, and a blond woman with naturally curled hair going over various documents together.

"It's amazing what having to read the fine print shows you about your eyesight," the man grumbled.

The woman laughed and said, "No kidding Dess, those glasses make you look like an old man!"

"I'm 22 years old for fucks sake, I shouldn't to look like an old man to begin with," he growled in displeasure.

Rainah bit her lip in an attempt to keep from laughing, but couldn't help it. This situation was too damned funny not to laugh, even Jason chuckled at the sight of the antics displayed by the two before him.

The two looked up to see their daughter standing beside a Jedi Knight who looked a lot like Exar Kun in Zannah's opinion.

'It's a good thing that my spell of non-Forcefulness masks our ability to use the force, otherwise we'd be in deep trouble,' she commented telepathically.

'Indeed,' Bane mused in agreement before asking, "You are Rainah, correct?"

"Yep," she replied in a cheerful manner, 'when's the last time I laughed like that?'

He smiled said, "I'd get up and hug you or shake your hand, whichever you'd prefer, if I wasn't up to my armpits in paperwork."

"That's a scary thought, considering the fact that you're 6'6"," mused the woman who then had a look of realization upon her face, "Oh where are my manners, I'm Rain."

Dess then took off his glasses and gestured towards the two chairs in front of his desk, "Have a seat, I'd love to get a chance to know my distant cousin once removed."

Rainah and Jason went ahead and sat down the former asked, "What do you want to know?"

Dess smiled and asked, "Well, for starters, how long will you be staying?"

"I am leaving tomorrow after sundown," she replied, "I'd rather not risk getting lost in my past; I tend to get a little depressed and extremely volatile when I do."

The man rubbed his chin as he thought about this, "An understandable reason."

Rain then asked the one question that Rainah feared the most, "Is he your boyfriend?"

"WHAT," Screamed Rainah, who was red in embarrassment. "No, we're not dating, it's," she paused as she searched for the proper term, "Complicated."

Jason had a faint blush on his face, truth be told he had found Rainah to be extremely attractive from the moment he saw her. In fact, he held a great sense of admiration for her, but he can't allow himself to love her, he'd be expelled from the Jedi Order.

"I'm sure it is," commented Rain in a sultry tone, insuring nobody missed the Innuendo.

"Jason's a Jedi Knight assigned to keep an eye on me because of my natural alignment to the Dark Side," Rainah countered coldly as her eyes glowed yellow, "the ONLY reason I haven't done away with him is BECAUSE I like him."

"I'm sure you do," Rain commented in the same sultry tone.

Dess buried his palm into his face and said, "You'll have to forgive my wife, she has an audacious side that's only seen when she's given an opportunity to make such comments."

"I could tell," Said Rainah in a Deadpan tone.

The rest of the evening was spent discussing Rainah's Force Sensitivity, the presence of the Dark Sider's they'd encountered, and where the two would stay for the night.

It was close to midnight when Jason and Rainah sneaked out of their rooms and made their way to the courtyard.

Standing fifteen feet apart Jason asked Rainah, "You ready?"

Rainah allowed to individual metal cylinder's to slip out of her sleeves before joining them at the ends and pressing the buttons near the tops, revealing them to be a set Lightsabers with interlocking hilts, the crimson blades just below a meter each. "Are you," She asked as the yellow glow of the Dark Side flooded her eyes.

Jason responded by drawing his two lightsabers from beneath his cloak, igniting them to reveal two Blue-white blades, and crossed his arms, the blades pointing upward. He then lowered his arms and hit the reversal button, causing the blades to switch to their reverse emitters.

Rainah then twirled her lightsaber around before setting into the opening stance of Soresu, the third form of Lightsaber combat. She smirked as she made the gesture for, 'come at me,' with her right hand. (AN: Rainah is left handed like her mother, and is going to be using a LOT if Zannah's Tactics, If you don't like her being a metaphorical clone of her mother, then that's too bad.)

Jason gladly obliged by charging forward, unleashing a devastating Form VI assault, an assault that Rainah easily countered. "You're going to lose if you don't try something different," she commented before bringing her leg up, kicking him in the face.

Jason used his knowledge of the Form IV: Ataru, to recycle the momentum from Rainah's kick into a backflip, putting a good ten feet between them. He then renewed his assault, this time using Juyo to overwhelm Rainah's defense.

As she retreated, Rainah couldn't deny that she'd asked for it, and Jason had delivered. She then took advantage of her affinity for the Dark Side, and unleashed a torrent of Violet force lightning in a successful attempt to buy herself enough time to activate one of the special features of her lightsabers. The blades suddenly increased to a full meter and a half, giving Rainah more reach. With renewed vigor, Rainah unleashed a deadly Juyo assault of her own, forcing Jason to retreat.

Jason mentally cursed himself for forgetting how much better Rainah was at Juyo than himself. He was being forced to blend the defensive maneuvers of Shii-Cho, Soresu, and Shien in a desperate attempt to keep Rainah from landing a blow. He knew from personal experience that Rainah could go for hours on end due to her natural insight for combat. The woman was known to conserve her energy before unleashing monstrously overwhelming assaults at the perfect moment.

Rainah always enjoyed a good fight, more so than she would like to admit. To put it simply, she was extremely turned on right now. She's amazed that she hasn't tried to rape Jason, since he was actually quite built underneath all those robes. She had little doubt that most other women would not be able to restrain themselves, but she wasn't like most women. She was special, of that she had no doubt, but she had no idea just how special she really was.

As the two continued to spar, a group consisting of 11 individuals kept a close eye on them.

"She's incredibly skilled already," commented Zannah.

"I gotta say," began Harper, "I wouldn't mind letting her do the whole kinky dominatrix thing."

Anderson glared at him and punched him in the gut saying, "We'll discuss this later."

Zannah smirked saying, "Consider yourself fortunate that Anderson beat Bane and I too the punch, Harper."

Ventress then asked, "Is she going to be a part of the reformed Order of Sith Lords?"

Bane and Zannah looked at each other with a glint in their eyes, "If she chooses, then yes."

"Who will be her master if she does," asked Maul.

"That would be me," claimed a woman's voice from behind them.

Everyone present, minus Bane and Zannah, spun around to see a surprisingly attractive Iktochi with red skin, four fang-like tattoos on her chin, and yellow eyes, clad in a black hooded robe with a skin tight, black leather jumpsuit. (AN: Like the one worn by Selene in the Underworld Movies) On her belt were a two Blaster pistols, and two Vibroblades, and resting in her hands were to inactive Lightsabers.

"Took you long enough to reveal yourself," chuckled Bane.

"You've always enjoyed scaring the crap out of people, so we always keep our guard up, just in case you decided to pay a visit," added Zannah who then turned around and asked, "It's been a long time since you actually decided to stop by in person, any particular reason why?"

The Iktochi bowed and answered, "I foresaw that my godchild would be visiting home today, and decided to see how she was doing, Milady."

The others knew from the moment they saw her that this Iktochi had history with Bane and Zannah, the question remained, who is this woman?

Bane turned and said, "You were never one for small talk, so why have you come here?"

"On to business then," she answered curtly, "The first thing I'd like to point out is that there is a potential ally amongst the Jedi, a Miraluka known as-"

"Nanashi," said Zannah, "we know of him thanks to Rainah telling the non-force sensitive's present about how she... Reacted... to our supposed deaths."

"I see," she answered calmly, "moving on, the separatist's will pull a direct invasion of Coruscant in about a Years' time, giving us the perfect chance to strike at the unworthy successor, and his current apprentice."

Bane chuckled darkly before turning around and asking, "Anything else I should be aware of, Cognus?"

The now identified Dark Lady of the Sith brought her hood down to reveal silky black shoulder length hair and a smile that told Bane and Zannah that something was going to happen that they either weren't going to like, was going to shake the very foundations of their lives, or both. Cognus revealed it to be the latter when she said, "Rainah and Jason will conceive and bring forth a son whose power will beyond anything you could possible imagine."

DONE!

God knows this one took some work.

Explanations

Today, I will be touching on the following: Yoda's poor choice of words, Nanashi, whether or not we will see Jason and Rainah in the near future, and Darth Cognus being a part of the story.

Me using Yoda's poor choice of words the way I did was my Opportunist attribute kicking in.

Nanashi is a personal OC who will be of significant importance later on.

Yes, we will see them again, during the Invasion.

To be honest, Cognus being part of the story was something I decided to do on a whim, and I honestly hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass.
