10 – Genius
Foster is a young human child of 4 years old. He is skinny and malnourished, and he has bright brown eyes and pale blonde hair. Foster is adorable for a human child, and he would shyly blushes when Phaedra patted his head gently.
William is tasked to give Foster new clothes and shoes and gave him a hot warm bath. After he is done, he is escorted down to the dining hall by William, and there, Thor, Loki and Phaedra and the rest of the children waited for him to arrive.
He is given afternoon tea buns by William. The rest of them took their afternoon tea too. Foster wolfed down his food heartily, and the rest of the children stare at him in utmost surprise and delight.
They are fascinated with Foster. He is a human child. They never have a human child in their home before. Everyone is something or somebody, but Foster here is a human child. A real human with red hot blood and a pumping heart. And most of all, he blushes.
James pushes his own bun towards Foster, and Foster stares up at him with his large brown eyes.
"You can have mine, you looked hungry," James said to him, and Foster mumbles a small shy thanks to him.
"You can have mine too," Arthur said to him and pushes his plate of bun towards him.
"Mine, too!" Noah said to him.
"Me too!" Peter and Edward said.
Phaedra and Steve smiles at their kind little hearts to accept a new family member into their growing family. Loki and Thor stares with a small smile as Foster begun to cry into his buns as he ate them heartily.
"Don't cha worry there, lil chap!" James said to him and patted his back. "We'll be takin' care of ya from now on!"
With that, Foster bawls into his buns and cried in a loud wailing voice. Thor shakes his head and went out to the boy, lifting him up into his arms and patted his back.
"Alright, alright! Big boys don't cry now, alright? Now, finish up your buns. We have a touring around the house to do, alright?" Thor said to the boy, and the boy nodded his head and sobbed.
Phaedra pampered Foster, their new little family member with clothes and new shoes and most of all, education at the greatest Academy in the kingdom. The child is young, and small, but nonetheless smart for his age and polite as well.
Thor is smitten with Foster, and would constantly play with the boy. The boy would giggle, and Thor would throw him into the air and laughs heartily at the adorable boy. Amongst all of Phaedra's brothers and children, Foster is the most handsome and adorable one out of all of them.
Phaedra had tried to heal the boy with her starlight power, but to no avail. The boy's eyes remains blind, and he sadly asks her if she is ashamed that he is handicapped.
"Why ever would you think like that, child?" she asks him with a chuckle. Foster begins to cry, and Thor would sweep him into his arms and chuckles as he consoles the boy with a light pat on his back.
"Big boys don't cry, lil boy," Thor said to him with a chuckle. "Gosh, you are such a crybaby…"
"Don't think too much now, shall we?" Phaedra said to him with a smile. "You and my other children are all the same, regardless of handicapped or not. You are my son, and I will take care of you until the end of time…"
He stays at the Pearl Garden, and would occasionally use the portal to go and see Jane. Overtime, he brought Jane to the Pearl Garden, and there she meets Phaedra.
"So you are Lady Phaedra…" Jane marvels at the beautiful woman standing beside Loki. "You are so beautiful…"
"Thank you, Jane dear… you are beautiful yourself as well. You remind me of sunshine on a sunny day…" Phaedra said to her with a smile, and soon, they become the best of friends. Jane would tell her of what had happened in New York, and at first, she is skeptical of Loki, but when she sees how Loki would smile at Phaedra sweetly, Jane begun to lower her guard around the God of Asgard.
And in came Steve in all his muscled glory.
"You're here too!?" Jane pointed one hand at him. And Steve stopped.
"Do I know you?" Steve said incredulously. Jane giggled nervously.
"Oh, everyone knows you're Captain America… I'm Jane…" she said to him, and he extends his hand to shake hand with her.
"Steve Rogers… pleased to meet you there…" he said to her, and Jane swoons.
Steve is good looking, and very much muscled till the point that every woman on the street would wanna have a go with him for a night. And a night is worth so much with him between their legs…
But Steve paid them no mind, and so does towards Jane.
Phaedra introduces Jane to Gaia, her very own Artificial Intelligence.
"This is Gaia," Phaedra said to her, and Gaia materializes in front of Jane. Jane is delighted with Gaia, the Artificial Intelligence living and operating in the Pearl Garden.
"I am Gaia," Gaia bows to her, and she is beautiful in her dark blue garbs today. "I am Artificial Intelligence Number 777. I am cousins to the System of the Cards, codename Queens, as well as Moonlight Artemis, the first of all the Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence 001. Moonlight Artemis is the most powerful Artificial Intelligence system amongst all the Artificial Intelligence products and results. She has internal connection with the kingdom's sub system and secret access to all the private data of the kingdom. She also can control the Starlight Number 7 Satellite and the Golems that surrounds the city in a constant 24 hour surveillance system."
"Oh, this is so cool!" Jane said to Phaedra and bounces happily on her feet at the sight of the Artificial Intelligence. Phaedra smiles.
"She could do anything. She takes care of the children and sometimes, she would wake us up for morning breakfast. She handles the security system of the Pearl Garden and also helps me with the making and creation of the next generation of Artificial Intelligence and modern technologies for the kingdom of Avice, since I only receive her as a gift from my relatives," Phaedra said to her, and Gaia demonstrated some of her powers for Jane. She is delighted
"Wicked!" Jane said to her with a wide grin when Gaia turns on all the lights of the Pearl Garden with a light flick of her hand.
It was then Foster came into the lobby in all his adorable glory. He walked down the spiraling stairs in his short little legs, and he did it one by one and one step at a time because of his short legs. Phaedra saw Jane slowly smiles at the sight of the adorable boy, and she stares at him with her eyes twinkling in delight.
"Phaedra…" Foster said in his small shy voice, high pitched because he is still a child and he ran to her with a small flower in his hand and with his short little legs. His hair bounced with every step he takes, and Jane is delighted with the boy. "Phaedra… I picked these for you…"
"Oh, Foster, thank you," Phaedra said to him and patted his head gently. Foster blushes shyly, and he looks up to Jane, who is staring at him with a smile on her face.
A large smile on her face.
"Hello…" Foster said to her, and Jane is smitten with the boy immediately. She crouched down and offered her hand to him.
"Hello there," she said in a gushing tone. "I'm Jane. You must be Foster…"
"I am…" he said to her, and Jane gushes at the sight of the adorable boy.
"Oh, he's so cute!" Jane said to Phaedra, and she smiles.
"He truly is. He's the most adorable one amongst all of my children and my brothers…" she said to her, and Jane started to play with Foster.
"What happened to his eye?" Jane asks Phaedra, and Phaedra patted Foster's head.
"He is blind on that side of his eye. Some bastard did this to him. But no matter, my brother has finished up the job…" Phaedra said to her and Jane nodded her head.
"Serves him right. Bastards like that shouldn't live to see another day. To bully kids as adorable as Foster is a bad thing enough…" Jane said to Phaedra, and she smiles.
Truly, Foster is adorable for a human child. In fact, he is so adorable that everyone loves and adores him, including all of his adopted siblings. They would sneak him food and pampers him much with care and love, and slowly, Foster starts to settle down in the Pearl Garden.
Jane is smitten with Foster so much that she would gush with delight at the sight of the boy, and whenever he is in the vicinity, he is the only one that she sees, and he is all she sees.
And Foster would blush shyly.
And Jane, well… she would gush.
"Oh, oh, oh!" she exclaims happily. "He's so cute! So cute!"
Phaedra smiles and patted Jane's back. "Don't gush too much. He's still new here. You'll scare him."
Jane shows Foster a few of her studies, and the boy is fascinated with her knowledge of the world's tree.
"Now, this is Vanaheim, and this is Nifelheim…" she said to him and drew the very same tree of the world that Thor had drawn for her those years ago.
"This is so cool!" he said to her in his high pitched child voice and Jane smiles and patted his head.
"Aren't kids like you suppose to go play ball or something?" she asks him, and Foster looked down sadly.
"I can't see well with one eye, Missy…" he would call her, and she would feel guilty for making the boy sad. "One of my eyes is permanently blind. I can't see well and run well to a distance, let alone see a ball coming my way…"
"Oh, Foster…" Jane patted his small head, and grinned widely and brought him to the huge grassy lawn.
"The stars here are so different than the ones in my place…" Jane told him and asked him to lie down on the grass and stares up the skies. Foster abides her, and lied down on the grass. "It's far brighter and closer, as if you could touch it just by raising your hand into the skies…"
She shows him where the Archer is and where the North Point is stars. Foster is fascinated with it, and stares up at the skies with his huge wide eyes.
And the very next day, the other boys came running to Phaedra, and screams bloody murder.
"Phaedra, Phaedra!" they screamed, and bumped into Loki and Thor on the way.
"Wow, wow, wow!" Thor said to them and squatted down, patting James's back as his breaths hard and fast. "What's wrong there lil chaps?"
"Peter… he… he…" James stuttered.
"What is wrong?" Phaedra asks James.
"You've got to see this!" Peter said loudly, and dragged Thor while James dragged Loki to the children's room. Phaedra and Steve follows still with them.
Everyone is gathered around Foster, and Foster shyly tries to smile at them and calms them down.
"Show us again!" Peter said to him.
"Yeah!" James chimed. "Show us those stars again!"
Foster saw Phaedra, Loki, Steve and Thor coming into their room. Jane is already there, and she is gushing at Foster.
"You guys have to see this…" Jane said to them excitedly, and places a little small square silver box.
She tapped it two times, and the whole room transforms into a universe so huge that they are in awe with it.
Jane smiles at them all, and Loki and Thor and Phaedra stares in awe at the universe seemingly swirling slowly in its own pace. It is amazing to see so many stars and a whole universe in one place. The whole room is darkened with the power from the small box, and they seem to stand in the air in the middle of the universe.
"Foster made it…" Jane said to them, and they all snapped their necks to look at Jane.
"Foster!?" Thor said incredulously. Jane nodded her head.
"I bet Stark would give anything to have that boy's brains… he is a genius, a genius!" Jane said to them, and Phaedra squatted down and raised one hand to Foster.
"Foster, come here please…" she asks him, and he ran to her and shyly places his hand in her hand.
"Did you make this yourself, Foster…?"
Foster shyly nodded his head, and Loki squatted down too.
"From what?"
"Well…" Foster started, rubbing his little feet on top of his other feet shyly. "From alloys I melted and a map of the universe's stars I've written on a program using Peter's computer…"
"Amazing…" Loki said to him and patted the boy's head. "A genius… a genius at 4 years old?"
"Amazing isn't he?" Jane said to him and smiles widely at Foster. "I taught him about the stars and the solar systems yesterday, and this is what he shows me. He said he wanted to make sure it is all in the right place before he shows it to you, Phaedra…"
"D-do you like it…?" Foster asks Phaedra shyly.
"Oh, Foster…" Phaedra said to him and patted his head. "I love it… it's so beautiful… thank you…"
And the next day, Jane suggested to Thor and Phaedra and Loki to bring Stark into Phaedra's manor.
"Are you sure about this?" Loki asks Jane. Jane nodded her head.
"Stark could teach the boy all he knows. I mean, look at Foster! He made that whole 5D solar system with Alloy and a program! What more could he make if he had Stark to teach him!?" Jane said to him.
And Stark is invited into Phaedra's manor by Steve.
Steve had to practically drag Stark into the portal, and he had screamed bloody murder when he went swirling into the portal.
And fell right into the arms of Phaedra.
"Oh, well, well, well," Stark said with a boyish grin on his face. "A goddess… you are so beautiful, my lady…" he said to her and kissed the back of her hand.
And Loki came and stood right in front of her.
"And I would suggest you take your stupid hand off hers before I magic it away from your body," Loki said threateningly. And Stark stepped backwards.
"Wow, wow, wow!" Stark said. "Loki Odinson!"
"Welcome to the Pearl Garden," Phaedra said to him, and smiles graciously at him. "I am Phaedra Sterling. I am the Duchess of Memphis and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Avice here. You are in an entirely different plane of an existence here, Mr. Tony Stark. Steve here is my brother, and these… well, I thought you knew them…"
"Thor!" Tony exclaims in surprise. He looked from Loki, then to Thor, then to Phaedra, then to Steve. And saw Jane.
"You!" he pointed one finger at her. "You!"
"Jane Foster…nice to meet you Mr. Stark," Jane said to him and shakes his hand.
"What is this place?" Tony said incredulously. "Where am I?"
"You're in Avice…" Phaedra said to him. "It is a kingdom in another plane of existence. It is like New York, and it is like London, only time flows differently here. Time is nothing here. We have Night Walkers and Nymphs and other with what you would call a supernatural beast there in your world, but here, they are our next door neighbors."
As if on cue, little Foster came running into the lobby with all his adorable glory and short legs.
And ensnares Tony in his cuteness overload.
"Oho…" Tony said with a small smile. "Now this is a cute little ghost walking towards me…"
"Phaedra…" Foster said to her and handed her another stalk of flower. "This is for you…"
"Oh, thank you, Foster…" she said to him and patted his head. He moves on to Jane and gave her a rose.
"And this is for you, Missy…" he said to her, and Jane is so delighted with it she lifts him up from the ground and swung him around and around.
"Oh, you're just so cute! Too cute! Too cute!" she exclaims happily with him in her arms. Everyone laughed.
"Foster, come here please," Phaedra said to him and the little boy ran to her with a wide smile. "This is Tony Stark. Mr. Stark, meet my adopted son, Foster. He is a young genius of his age. He created this, and I know you have known about it from my brother, Steve, here…"
"Steve…" Tony started. "You have a sister… in another plane of existence?"
"She…" Steve started. "Well… we have different fathers…"
"Oh, spicy mom," Tony said to him. He squatted down in front of Foster and asks him with a serious look on his face. "Boy, you made this?"
He shows him the small silver alloy 5D map of the universe. Foster nodded his head.
"I did…" he said in his small adorable voice.
"And you made this on your first tries?" he asks him.
"Yes…" the boy answers him. "Materials are scarce. I cannot afford to ask William for more things…"
"William?" Tony chimed.
"William is my home's butler…" Phaedra said to him. "Mr. Stark… if you can, would you teach him things? He loves to discover new things, and with a mind like his, I would think that it would be a waste if he is not to be put to a great place to learn…"
Tony regards the little boy with his eyes. He is a small thing, barely 5 years old. His large eyes is wide and innocent, and unblinkingly so.
"Mr. Tony Stark?" the boy calls him in his small adorable voice, and Tony melted.
Oh, what an adorable boy…
With that, Foster is sent to learn things from Tony. Tony brought him home, and Steve made Tony promise to never bring a woman home when little Foster is home. He agrees reluctantly, but with little Foster staring up at him innocently, he couldn't say no. Hell, Foster is adorable…
And together, they went through the portals and went back to Tony's home. Phaedra had made Tony promise to bring him back to the Pearl Garden everyday at the end of the day. Tony nodded, and held Foster's hand as they went through the portal.
"Now… in a year's time, we'll have ourselves a genius technician…" Steve said to Phaedra, and she smiles…
"It is better for him this way…" she said to him. "Let him learn…"
