Chapter 9: Preparations
Adam didn't like it and he made it apparent. He looked over in the corner where he saw him staring off into the distance. Last nights attacker who looked exactly like Laurentum was just sitting there with an blank expression on his face almost as if his mind is either completely empty or nothing truly matters to him. It goes deeper to how Lucretcia or Laurentum looks when he look them in their eyes it's as if peering into a void or a deep dark hole where no light shines, a bottomless pit.
Adam gets up and walks to the door. Lucretcia who was watching T.V. turn around. "Where are you going? We still haven't received any orders yet." Adam stands at the door not turning around. "I've got business to take care of with that Torchwick man. Keep the other one busy till I get back I might be out all day." With that last sentence he opens the door and walks out closing it behind him. Lucretcia returns to watching T.V. and looks over at Loki. He is looking out the window of the abandoned building they're staying at out in the "lost zones" which are areas where the Grimm pushed back humanity to the big cities. She walks over to him and looks at him.
From when she first say him she can see the similarities between him and Laurentum. They both had the same face and hair but Loki's eyes were white and physically he seemed more built and stronger but from their brief fight she knew he wasn't as fast as Laurentum nowhere near as fast. She poked him to get a response but nothing. When she pointed her tonfa at him, he knocked her hand away and created distance weapon in hand. He reacted to life or death situations but nothing else or if you give him an order like "wash up" or "Meet us at this location". When she dropped her weapon he did the same she could see how much training he received was more then her own. She walked up and placed a hand on his chest his heart beating at a steady pace no changed in rhythum at all. Her own started to speed up. She didn't know why this happened it happened when she stopped Adam when he fought Laurentum. It was when the two locked eyes she thought it was because she finally met her "brother" face to face but now it's happening again. From the books she read like "Ninja's in the Moonlight" or "Forbidden Love" she wondered if her "conditioning" was wearing off. It has been awhile since she had a tune up. She looks at him closes her eyes and moves her body to its will moving closer to Loki's lips.
Laurentum has been in the gym working out 24/7 today he's with Topaz as they start weight lifting. "Are you sure this is a good idea? This is my normal set but for you might be a bit too much." Laurentum was currently under 280 pounds of weight about to press it. "I'm confident my body can do this Topaz plus your here spotting me so don't let your leader die ok?" He chuckles he grabs hold of the bar and begins to lift.
Almost immediately his arms start burning with adrenaline and he lowers it to his chest and starts to push it back up on the bar and sits up. "Whoa arms still attached and still alive see told you I can do it." Topaz lets out a sigh of relief "At least I don't have to tell our other teammates how I killed both their boyfriends. How is that going anyway?" Loki comes out and takes over. "Well Silver is easy she doesn't have much experience so I have full control hehehe." Laurentum takes over immediately. "Not what he was asking Loki. Well River understands the current...predicament would hurt out team chemistry since Loki and I share a body I don't want to hurt their feelings but..." Topaz puts a hand on his shoulder. "I understand it's super awkward and as leader your in a tough spot hopefully either something changes or a compromise happens." Loki perks up. "So Silver gets me Monday through Wednesday and River gets Laurentum Thursday Through Saturday and Sunday being an off day? That seems fair." Loki chuckles.
After the workout the two boys walk back to their room where the two girls are. River is finishing some homework she had to do for Prof. Leia and Silver is cleaning her gun barrel of dirt and other grime. River looks over "Oh finally you two are back you both we're at the gym all day. I know its a free day for you two but Laurentum needs to help organize who's doing doubles and then singles." Laurentum hits his head as he remembers. He walks over and sits on his bed. "Well doubles should have one of us who is long ranged and one close combat so Topaz and Silver?" he nominates. Topaz shakes his head. Most of our opponents might take that into consideration plus Silver may be a great shot she still have weak close combat skills." Silver puts her head down but nods. "If they get close if they are stronger I will only make it harder for Topaz. How about River she has good mid range capabilities." River looks up from her work. "Actually I think it would be better if the two of you double up Laurentum and Topaz." Laurentum perks up. "Huh why us?" Topaz asks. River smiles "Seriously? The two of you in a doubles match? It's like fighting a wrecking ball the size of a meteor with small sharp blades on the surface. You tow would be hard to stop. Sure you don't have long range weapons but once you two get rolling..." "You leave a path of destruction in your wake." Silver finishes. Loki comes out and jump over to Silver's bed on top of her. "Well I am known to do that but I can leave behind fun memories too." He smiles at her while on top of her. Silver turns red and looks away. Loki jumps off "Ok so once we win our first match which we will it's me and Topaz in doubles. Yo Topaz which one of us are going to singles?" Loki asks. Topaz thinks about it for a minute. "Well we both can fight solo but I think you should since I know if Team RWBY makes it to singles Yang is going to fight and unfortunately no matter what I can't fight my girlfriend seriously sorry." Loki nod and understands if he had to fight Silver or if Laurentum had to fight River neither of them can do it.
"So I'll be representing us in the singles and take it all well it's not much of a single when it's both me and my lil brother in the same boy." Loki says. Laurentum in his head speaks "How about only one of us fights in the singles to be fair or else it might be cheating." Loki thinks about it and answers back. "Or we can both fuse our auras so we basically become one soul that's not cheating plus no rule states we can't do that plus isn't it better to fight at full power than hold back because we are stronger?"
While the two brothers are in their head discussing outside their mind they're on the bed with a blank expression as the rest of the team look at them. "Looks like it's a heated debate or something should we tuck them in?" Topaz says with a smile. "If so I'll leave it to you two I'm going in the shower." Topaz walks into the bathroom and closes the door.
Silver head is steaming at this point and River is blushing. "Soooo should we undress him?" River says but at this point Silver has passed out at just the thought of undressing Loki and is laid out on her bed.
River sighs and walks over to Laurentum's absent body. She pulls on his shirt and takes it off with ease. Now that she thinks about it this will be her first time seeing his body bare. Looking at it he seems to be very toned the months working at the gym were paying off but he still had the same body size which was good for his speed. She noticed several scars on his upper arms and back on his brown skin. Some were like chalk marks on his body as if they were past injuries. The one that caught her eye was the biggest one. A "V" shaped scar that trailed from shoulder to belly button to his other shoulder. She wondered where he got such an injury from and how he survived it.
As she stuck her hand out to touch it a sudden movement and loss of balance over comes her and she is wrapped in his arms her head pressed into his chest. "Hmmphh." She muffles into his chest. She looks up into his black eyes and sees a smile on his face. "Like what you see?" He asks. She stays still for a second breathing in his smell as to savor the moment then pushes off him to sit on his bed on her own. "N-n-n-othing special to see anyway we all got scars." She quickly says, Laurentum sits up and moves next to her.
"Sorry Riv." He says. She shakes up at this. What could he be sorry for? Besides the obvious feelings they shared for each other Laurentum has barely done anything to be sorry for. "You know I like you but Loki likes Silver and with us in the same body it would be weird as a team for us to pursue our conflicting feelings." he finally says. She was wondering about that for some time now. How would it all play out so this is what he has come up with? Makes sense as team leader it's his job to manage drama but she didn't have to like it or accept it. "That's why I think we should jus..hmfphh" Laurentum's words were cut off as River knocked herself into him and kissed him. It was the first time they ever kissed for that matter. She wrapped her arms around his neck in case he tried to push her away but instead she felt his hands wrap around her waist. She felt him kiss her back all the pent up emotions between them were coming out. All the feelings for each other they let out through primal actions.
They started off kissing then biting each others lips now exploring their partners mouths with their tongues. Laurentum turned her over and separated on top of her. He saw her hazel eyes glazed over with lust and softly bit into her neck she moaned softly as not to awake Silver who was sleeping at this point. Laurentum started to run his hands up her shirt when they heard a cough.
They turned and saw Yang staring at them with a wide grin and slightly giggling. "Well don't stop just because I'm here please continue." The two separated River sitting on the bed and Laurentum jolting back falling of the bed. As if on cue Topaz walks out the shower and see his girlfriend in the room, his leader on the floor, River' face beet red and Silver sleeping. "Uhhhh ok what's going on her Yang?" Topaz asks his fiery girlfriend. "Welllll you see Topy.." Laurentum snickers from behind the bed. "hehe Topy..." Topaz growls at his leader and Yang for calling him his nickname in front of his team.
"...lover boy and Red were finally going at it like two wild dogs." Yang says which causes Topaz eyebrow to rise. "Hey for your information I'm a wolf fanus and she's a bull and yes things were happening." Laurentum tries to explain but this causes River to blush even more. "How did you even get inside her anyway?" River asks trying to change the subject. "Topaz gave me access to the room and he has access to mine." Yang states "Oh so you two can sneak into each other rooms and do the nighttime nasty huh?" Loki pops out and says laughing. "Yea but your little brother and his girl were just getting it on just now." Loki looks at River her face Red and he feels Laurentum's heart still beating fast. "Well I'll be I take a mental nap and lil bro is growing up awwwww" Loki teases. Laurentum is inside their mind his head in a pillow. "Don't ask brother it just..." "Happened." Loki finishes with a smile.
Laurentum takes over and gets up and sits next to River on his bed. She tries to move away but stops when he grabs her hand and she sits back next to him. "I can't ignore these feelings anymore. I now know as a leader ignoring them is worse then causing tension." He looks River in her eyes she sees the person she has fallen for all. In a moment the eyes turn white and spring up over to Silver.
Loki puts her head in her pillow and she shifts and smiles in her sleep. He turns around to everyone present. "Besides the problem child Silver means alot to me I do care about her and yes I take great joy teasing her." Loki smiles as he says all this. Yang stretches. "Well who am I to say who you can and can't care about you guys can figure it out after all your team has been through you can get through it all." She says. Topaz grabs her from behind and she snuggles in his arms. A light bulb in Loki's head lights up and focuses his aura. His semblance activates and Topaz's towel around his waist falls and his face heats up. Yang chirps as something pokes her back and she grabs it much to Topaz embarrassment. "So you are excited huh kitty?" Loki is laughing on the floor and River is covering her face. Yang turns around covering her naked boyfriend and kisses him. She slowly bends down...and grabs his towel and covers him up. "See you later Tiger." She walks out the room and closes the door. "I'm a lion but whatever." Topaz stutters out.
River looks over at Loki who finally stops laughing. "So what's Laurentum doing?" Loki hears this and stands up and allows Laurentum to come out or better yet forces him to face his budding relationship. "Hi Riv." he sheepishly says. She looks at him and stands facing him. She gets on her toes and whispers in his ear. "Break my heart I'll break you." and walks to her bed finishing the rest of her work. Laurentum's heart is beating fast and finally forms a sentence. "Well I should go to the shower and Topaz please "cage" the lion bro." With that Laurentum goes to the bathroom and Topaz "fixes" himself.
Meanwhile at the abandoned building...
Adam walks back in the room and see nothing much has changed. Lucretcia has made dinner and is sleeping on the couch the T.V still on and clearly she fell asleep watching it. Loki is still at the window looking at the nighttime sky. Adam goes to the table and see a plate of food wrapped with Adam's name on it. While Lucretcia has been his teammate for a few months he cares for her like she was his own sister. Thinking of this he remembers his own sister but buries the memory and walks over to Loki. "Get up time for you to slee.." He notices his lip is busted. Adam wonders how that happened but assumed he probably walked into a wall or Lucretcia punched him after all she had a weird rivalry against Laurentum. The amount of times the leader refers to Laurentum as his favorite must be annoying to all who come after him. Adam grabs his plate of food and head to the roof to eat which is his place where he can be with his thoughts.
Lucretcia wasn't asleep she rushed to fake being asleep. When Adam left she felt her heart beat slower from the excitement. She got up and walked over to Loki. She brushed her fingers over his lip where she bit to the point to broke skin. She don't know what came over her she never felt like she cared but she knew these feeling proved why Laurentum was "perfect" and why this "Loki" is too. They have no emotions and never needed re-tuning and at best she was the best copy created. All her anger and resentment disappeared when she kissed the unresponsive body but like last time she felt a weird sickness. As if she was kissing someone familiar to her. Not a boy a girl liked it was different something she can't place her finger on but she didn't care and said the order. "Take me." and she took off her shirt.
