Chapter 9:
Juvia was washing the dishes. Her tummy round and full with her baby inside. She was now on her fifth month and her nii-sama, Jellal, who was studying medicine, had told her that by now the baby's gender was identifiable. But then, she wanted it to be a surprise.
These past few months, her nii-sama was the only one she had conceded with this news. When she found out that she was pregnant she doesn't know what to do. She surely is scared.
Scared at what her daddy would do to her…
and to Jellal, for her daddy trusted him to protect his daughter..
Sometimes she contemplated that she should tell Gray about it, but every time she did make her shiver in fear.
And whenever she looks for him at the academy, he was not there. It seems that he already fled away. And that scared her more. What a mere eighteen like her could do?
She woke up late, threw up almost every time, and lately she found herself craving and craving for food. She clearly remembered her conversation with Jellal. And from before it surprised her that he loses his cool.
...
They were eating their dinner that time, the silence suffocated her, and the clink and clank of the utensils seemed to irritate her, that's when he speak
"You're pregnant" he bluntly stated. No intonation, no doubtfulness, no it was not a question, because, simply he knew.
She looked like someone had thrown her ice-cold water. Her eyes wide, her body started to feel cold, her heart hammered in her chest, and she didn't know how to respond to him.
How could she?
"Jellal-nii—" before she finished he cuts her off. Of course he would know he would be a doctor someday.
"Who?" he silently asked his voice was laced with fury, his grip on his utensils tightened, and his knuckles were now turning white. His eyes were darkening and for the first time, Juvia felt scared for her life.
She had never seen her nii-sama this mad. He never gets mad.
When he was sure that he would not get an answer, "Is it that Fullbuster?" his voice still low, he spat her ex's name like it's the most disgusting thing.
That's when tears started to fall and her shoulder shook uncontrollably, she shamelessly cried loud.
He stood up so fast, that his chair sent tumbling. He quickly went to the kitchen and ransacked the place looking for something.
Juvia hurriedly followed him and gasped when she saw him holding a knife.
"Move." he commanded.
She shook her head, still trapping him from where he stands.
"Get away Juvia, I swear to God! I swear I'll kill him!" His shoulders shook from fury and rage. His mind was set into one thing. That was to kill that asshole.
"N-no.!" Juvia's tears cascaded down her cheeks like waterfall. She couldn't let her nii-sama kill Gray. She didn't want Gray to die. She didn't want her nii-sama to turn into a murderer.
Because of her stupidity and ignorance, all of them were now suffering.
He paced around the room like a troubled tiger. His hand raked his hair, trying to cool his head. "And yet he call himself a man, that son of a bitch, if I ever see him I'll kill him in most painful way." he said lowly mostly to himself.
Juvia braced herself, she felt so cold. Her heart broke from seeing her nii-sama like this. "Do you hear me Juvia?! I'll kill that fucking asshole! I swear, I'll kill him"
That's when everything around her turned hazy and soon blackness engulfed her.
...
She woke up on her bed, her nii-sama sleeping on her couch. She groaned when she moved and in an instance, her nii-sama was on her side.
A gentle hand pushed her back, "Lie down, you're still not feeling well"
She sniffed like a little child and that brought a small smile on his face. "Nii-sama.." her voice went out croak and pitiful.
He instantly reached for her hand and caressed it. "Shhh... I know you're scared"
Panic risen up,"What about daddy? if he found out—"
"He will not. I promise." his eyes full of determination, and his voice leaves no room for argument. She believed him because whenever he said that it would be alright, then it would be.
"After your school year, we will leave for Russia. You're daddy will be happy knowing that you'll study there."
"b-but..."
"I'll see to it that everything will be well-planned, and one more thing, as much as possible don't go near that guy and don't tell any of your friends about your situation. Make sure that you'll be cautious."
Juvia just nodded her head. Even if it hurts, she would do what her nii-sama told her, she would leave Magnolia; she would leave her life here and start a new one on Russia. She had been selfish before, but now, she would do it for herself, for her baby, for her nii-sama and most especially for Gray.
"Juvia really misses you Jellal." said the gentleman in front of him. His Uncle Vernard Lockser's suit was crisp and lined with oozing luxury. They were at a café in front of the hospital that he worked at. His Uncle had came all the way to Crocus from Magnolia just to talk to him.
"Was that the reason you're here, uncle? If so, then you are only wasting your precious time" He returned his stare with an unwavering stoic expression.
"Even for your cousin?" he asked, his blue eyes shone with something he could not decipher. He made no indication to reply, he knew that his uncle was disappointed at him for being stubborn, but he was a man with pride. The older man sighed "You know that she will eventually marry a man I arranged and it was luck that she does it willingly. It's an heiress' duty to think for the sake of the company. Her happiness is left aside" As if he didn't know about it. Of course he knew it. Even from the start, that's why as long as he can, he did everything to put a smile on her face.
"I do know that." His eyes distant and his face soften from the thought of his little cousin. He missed her too.
"Then what are you so mad about?" He quirked his eyebrow. All the fondness he felt left him. He smugly smirked at him, mostly to insult him.
"If you found out, I'm sure you'll regret having your daughter marry him"
The older man's eyebrows met in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
The blunet took a glimpse of his watch and turned to stand up. "I am a busy man now, and so are you. Let's not waste our time reminiscing the past. I have patients to treat. Nice seeing you Uncle" he politely bowed at him and straightened his coat. He turned and took his step to leave.
"Jellal!" the older man called. The handsome doctor turned around, "at least let her meet your daughter, maybe by then she'll grasp the idea of having a child of her own." It almost made him drop his façade; the man in front of him was looking at him, pleading.
"She would've had one if she weren't married for a bastard" He could not let himself soften. He turned around, and his eyes turned sadder. She really would have had one. But he wasn't sure if his Uncle would accept the child if that was to happen before.
"Watch your tongue; he is the future president of our corporation." After hearing that, his smirks turned wider.
So the war hasn't started yet.
Vernard's blue eyes trained at his nephew, he did not know what his issue with Juvia. He wanted to see his daughter have a child and he was sure his wife, Julia would want that too
He cheekily smiled at his pretty aunt and showed her the puppy- a chow chow- his uncle Gray gave. It was his gift for his incoming fourth birthday, though his birthday would be held on the last week of October, Gray already had given him his present.
Logan tilted his head when his aunt just smiled at him. "Auntie sad?" he put Chowder-his puppy's name down, and touched Juvia's hands.
Juvia surprised at what Logan said, she shook her head "no, Logan, auntie is just tired.'' She explained and watched the little boy smiled once again. She weakly smiled whenever he tried to say something and pronounced it wrong. Her attention might be on this child but her mind was definitely wandering. Unbeknownst to her, Gray was watching her with sad eyes.
They arrived minutes ago, and as usual they were greeted with smiles and warm hugs.
Their ride was awkward and the air felt so thick and suffocating. They purchased food on their way, and Gray bought his gift for his nephew. It seemed normal, her waiting inside the car, Gray attempted to give her smiles but never happen. She would always ignore him, avoid his gaze and pretend he wasn't there. She knew she was being unreasonable, just because he couldn't remember that she gave him that scarf doesn't mean she should give him the cold shoulder.
Maybe it was because she thought that him keeping that scarf all these years mean something. Maybe she was waiting for something. But what was it? Love? She, herself couldn't understand at all.
It was already dawn when they arrived. The large gate of the Vastia residence opened and gave them way to enter. As soon as they stepped out of the car, The Vastia couple quickly greeted them. Ultear pounced at her and she 'eeped' but then returned the hug. Juvia's eyes watched as Lyon and Gray exchanged greetings.
"Ahhh~ I really missed you Juvia-chan" Ultear said while she released her of her hug. Juvia blushed at the endearment, she really was not used to them. The older woman treated her like a little girl, it's not like she hated it, and it just made her embarrassed. Well, she's shy alright.
She searched for another brunet whom specifically was her nephew. When she did not see any sign of him, she turned to Ultear and asked about Logan.
To which the brunette replied with an"I did not allow him to go out; he was grounded for pouring paint on his nanny."
She lightly chuckled at that, imagining the prankster Logan. Ultear smiled with her "He definitely got that trait on his father?" she whispered and tugged the blunette's arm. Ushering her to go with her to which the younger woman obliged.
"Lyon-san? A prankster?" she inquired, Thankful that her mind had diverted from the awkward ride from before.
"Well….no, but he surely got all his traits from his father, except his hair color and brains" Both females laughed at that. Juvia could not help but notice that Ultear seemed glowing. Ah, Love that was what it does to people. Glow from happiness. And she seemed to have gained weight. She decided not to comment on that, as a girl she knew that weight was a delicate subject. Lyon had been spoiling her too much. She did not know if it was healthy or not.
Bruh, Of course it's healthy.
They watched as the servants carry their luggage, for a week's leave they had brought like a month's leave's baggage. She was about to enter the residence when Lyon had commented on her scarf. Unconsciously, she tugged t closer on her, afraid that the hickey her husband left would be visible.
"That looked familiar..." he thoughtfully pointed out. And then suddenly, Gray was on her side.
"Oi, leave it be"
"Aha!" he exclaimed, his face looked like he really remembered. When her eyes landed at Gray, her eyebrows met in confusion. He looked horrified. "That's Gray's favorite scarf, Am I right? I'm right. Right? Juvia-chan?"
Gray's face was now red from embarrassment. "That's not true" he said, but everyone was unconvinced even Juvia. She unconsciously caressed the soft material. 'This is his favorite scarf' she thought to herself
"Hai." Lyon answered, Juvia was surprised that she voiced her thoughts out loud. Gray was about to protest but his cousin Ultear had him on a headlock.
The white-haired man had draped an arm around her, Ultear did not seem to mind but Gray, oh, he minded, alright. "You see, Gray had it with him. Always. On outing. Vacation. His job leave, Always on his luggage"
"That's true, Juvia-chan, In fact I suggested to throw that away and he did not talk to me for months" she exasperatedly added, and released Gray
"That's how I am, I never really talk to you" Gray protested, by now, he was caressing his neck.
"Oh, shut up"
"But you know what great about that scarf was how it made him smile like an idiot. I remember when I hid it from him, and how he ransacked my place…"Lyon remained rambling, too much to her husband's dismay. But all of it fell from deaf ears; all she could pounder about was how important this scarf was for Gray. Remembering it all, it was from HER.
"Why?" she lowly asked, her eyes downcast. Lyon stopped from rambling, he was with Gray by now, and Gray and Ultear looked at her.
"What?" The dark-haired man asked.
She tilted her head up and stared at those dark pools of his."Why did you keep it?" She wanted to know. She needed to know. She just had to.
Gray returned her stare with equal attention. "I don't know" he confessed and Juvia wanted to shout at him, and cry. She could not deny but she believed him when he said he did not know.
The Vastia couple, upon noticing the sudden thick silence, laughed to release some tension. "Why don't we get inside?" Ultear suggested and Gray just nodded, and followed her, and so was Juvia.
Unbeknownst to Juvia, Lyon had noticed something. His dark eyes narrowed as he saw the bluenette's dainty hands curled into fists.
Gray paced inside their room. Juvia was at downstairs with Logan and Ultear. They had just finished dinner and now that he was left with his own devices, he could ponder on certain things.
Specifically, Juvia, his wife.
He slumped on the bed; the mattress sagged from the added weight. He remembered when they were in the car, how she got mad at him because of the scarf.
"Who gave you this?"
He could not understand why she asked him that, Wasn't it supposed to be where he got it? Then why did she have to ask him who gave him the scarf? Could she, by any chance, know about this? But if so, then, how did she manage to acquire such knowledge? Juvia had lived in Russia for all her life. Anything that was related to his life, his previous life, does not involve her. She was not involved with him. Right?
Then, why? Why did she look like she knew something? Why did she have to look so hurt and betrayed when he confessed that he did not know? The scarf, just so happened to be with him the moment he opened his eyes from a year-coma, and when he found out that he had amnesia. He just had put a momentum that the scarf was important to him because he felt like it was the only link to his past.
Could it be that he went to Russia before and had met her there? Could it be that they were together? Could it be that they shared a past? Could it be that Juvia does know about him?
Could it be that she was hiding something?
He gripped his hair in frustration. There were so many questions that revolve around her. But as much as he was concerned, he had never been at Russia, his passport did say so. He stood up and reached for his baggage, he searched for a cigarette pack and when he had found one, he quickly fished a lighter out and left.
He had to clear his mind. Surely, Juvia would not mind his smell after this; after all, it was because of her why he wanted to.
Juvia smiled as she watched Ultear carry her sleeping son. Logan had been so hyper, that was why he was sleeping like a log right now. Juvia's eyes were still trailed at the two, she stared long at the little boy. She couldn't help but feel her smile turn into a frown, her eyes down casted.
If she had been careful before, maybe she even had a child with her right now. If she had been careful she would have been sporting a genuine smile. She hated herself for it. She hated herself for being useless. All she had to do was to take care of herself and her baby and she failed. Tears started to gather around her eyes, and she had to blinked it back, she remembered that the reason they went to Russia, was for her to hide the fact that she was pregnant, and when she lost her baby, she did not know what to feel.
She felt betrayed. Why did she have to be pregnant, to be happy and to find her sanctuary on her baby, when in the first place, she was the one who had protecting to do. Why did she have to felt joy, only to have it stolen from her?
Maybe, it wasn't really for her. Maybe, it wasn't really her time.
She had no right to cry. It was her punishment, a life-long punishment. She would always carry the burden of having such secret. Sighing, she went outside to have a walk; maybe what she needed was fresh air. She just wanted to forget to have a new life.
Most especially, she wanted him to feel this pain. She clenched her hands tightly, her eyes turned blue steel.
"It's late. You shouldn't be out now" a voice told her, when she spun around, she saw her cousin-in-law.
"Lyon-san! You got me scared" she expertly hid the anger she felt a while ago. Mask of surprised covered her face.
Her heart was hammering inside her chest right now. She was nervous; her eyes darted away from him. He just remained staring at her, all the cheeriness and fondness he felt from her left him.
"I don't know what you're up to," he started and Juvia turned to face him, confusion etched her whole features. " but Gray… he hadn't done anything to hurt you." He said, and Juvia felt something inside her crack, she felt anger bubbling deep down her stomach.
She lifted her chin up and brushed his words off. "What are you talking about?" she asked, masking the irritation and anger she felt.
"Gray, I was with him since we're children, I thought of him as my little brother, I always see how he struggled to get his father's approval or his mother's attention. He's not perfect, everybody is, we all have our flaws, so is he, whenever he made a mistake, he had to hide it from his father, whenever his mother came home from her business trips, he would always do something to make her see her."
Juvia's brows furrowed in confusion, why was he telling her this? She knew all about Gray, she knew all his hardships, but why? Why did he have to wake something from within her? "Why? Why are you telling me this?" She braced herself, she did not know if it was because of the cold. Her voice came out silently.
"Then he met her." After hearing those, she would be lying if she said her heart did not skip a beat. It felt like there were thousands of horses running inside it. "As far as I remember, she was Gray's first love, He always seek for attention and that girl gave him that. And much more"
She grimaced. Oh, yes, she gave him so much. Her eyes fixed on his face as he continued "She gave him the Love that he was looking for. I remember how happy he was, whenever he went to school. I remember how he smiled to himself when he thought we are not looking. I remember whenever he had to go berserk, whenever he confessed to me how he did not know how to woo her. I remember how long it took him just to fix his hair…."
Juvia did not know how to respond or how to feel. Her lungs seemed to be not functioning. Lyon lightly chuckled. "It was safe to say that Gray was sooooo in love with her."
Juvia wanted to smile, really, she did, but she could not bring herself to. "Who is she?"
With that asked, Lyon stared at her, long and hard. And Juvia felt herself freeze. He looked like he was reading her soul. A moment passed, "I…don't know"
She let out a sigh of release upon hearing those, but that did not go unnoticed by Lyon's scrutinizing eyes. "Maybe, you do?"
Juvia felt like all her blood was seeped away from her. She stared at him and what she saw made her gasped. She had this feeling that he knew. "It was eight years ago, good thing, Gray had forgotten all about her."
And that made her eyebrows twitch and her face turned darker. She clenched her hands to her sides.
"Of all people, He deserved to be loved. All his life he was hurt, his heart had been broken and his life hadn't been normal the moment that girl left him"
She wanted to scoff at him. She left him? If she remembered correctly, it was He who abandoned her!
So wrapped up with her thoughts she did not even heard Lyon bid her a good night. So how dare he get hurt? when in the first place, he was the one who turned into a jerk and dumped her, he had no rights to appear victimized. What he was feeling right now could never surpass the pain she was carrying up until now. Yeah, good for him to forget about her, while she was still stuck in the past, hurting and crying. She wished that maybe she could forget about him too.
She was on her way to the rooftop. Her Gray-sama had texted her to go there. Ahh, she could not help but be excited. It had been weeks since they last talked and she wanted to have some alone time with him. When she saw him standing there, looking so handsome and cool, she could not help but ran towards him and hug him. She felt tears gathering on her eyes. She really missed him.
When Gray felt her hug him, he knew he could never let her go, once he hugged her back.
When she released her hold on him, she quickly wiped away her tears that her glasses hid. "Juvia is sorry, She just really misses Gray-sama" she smiled at him.
Gray felt his heart being gripped by an iron hand. He knew he could never do this, he knew he could never make her hate him. He'd rather die than to break up with her. But he had to. He had to make her hate him, because if he did not, she would get hurt big time.
He looked away from her and that made Juvia tilted her head to the side. "I heard that you are a stalker" his voice came out low and cold. She gasped at his words.
"A-ano….that..it was..ah-umm.."
"Is it true?" he faced her and her heart constricted in pain. She could never lie to him. "H-hai.. but that was –"
Before she finished her sentence Gray took a step away from her, his face full of disgust. Juvia felt ashamed of herself. "Can you stop stalking me?''
"But that was before—"
"ENOUGH." He shouted at her. And her face was a definition of the word hurt. Her eyes blurred from the tears. Her Gray-sama would never shout at her. "I can never date a stalker." A gasp. "Let's break up"
She tried to touch his hand but he slapped it away, by now tears had started flowing down her pale cheeks "B-but..Gray-sama, that was before. Juvia, Juvia is—"
"Why are you speaking in third person, it's irritating?"
"Ano. H-hai, Juvia—I will not speak like that." She said trying desperately to make him look at her.
"I don't like you, I hate nerds like you" he confessed, his face devoid of any fondness, he stared at her like she was a piece of dirt that once he touched he would die. She shook her head no and "I…I will change. Gray-sama, for you, I will be different. I promise—"she pounced at him, clinging unto him like he was her lifeline. She was sobbing on his chest, she felt his cold hands touched her shoulders and tried to rip himself of her. She tightened her hold on him; he just pushed and pushed her away. "N-no. Juvia—I love you, Gray-sama. You told me you love me too—"
'"Do you really think that I really love you?" when those words left his mouth Gray wanted to bite his tongue off. Juvia stiffen on him, and let him go. Her face red and wet due to her tears.
'You said, you said you love me. You said that you….'sob'….you love me for who I am, and not for…'sob'…what I am..you said—"
"I LIED!okay? I lied. Now get away from me. Hate me or whatever. I DON'T CARE!, it doesn't matter because you disgust me, I hate you" with that said he left her there, heat broken and eyes lifeless.
Juvia felt her eyes stung with tears; her heart broke from the intense pain and anger she felt. She hated him. She loathed him. And, nothing, nothing would ever change that. Not even the love she had felt for him, once.
She broke down on her knees and wept her heart out. She bit her lower lip to muffle her sobs. Her whole body shook as she gasped for air.
She loathed him. She loathed him. Did she really loathe him?
Ultear felt the mattress sag beneath her, she just remained quiet. She knew that it was Lyon. She heard him sigh and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer to his torso. When her back made contact with his hard chest, she quietly moan.
"What took you so long?" she quietly asked. He nuzzled his head on her hair and sighed once more. She furrowed her brows, "Is there something wrong, Lyon?" she worriedly asked, she turned to face him, not leaving his embrace and cupped his face.
Lyon stared lovingly at her, he leaned closer, his lips dangerously closed to hers. "Nothing dear." With that said he closed the gap between them and captured her lips.
...
"You don't understand Lyon, I love her. I love her so much that I could die not seeing her." Gray was prancing around his condo, his older brother/friend Lyon was with him. He told him that he broke up with his girl.
"Gray—" he tried to put a comforting hand on him, but he dodged and took a swig of the vodka he had. Lyon was now getting worried; Gray looked like he had lost his mind. This was not good, if this continued he might kill himself.
"She will be my enemy, and I could never pursue a relationship with her" he mumbled, that made Lyon furrowed his brows. Enemy? The only enemy that he might face in the future was the–
"God! Why did I have to tell her those? She will hate me." Gray slumped down on his couch, his hand grasped his hair so tight. He was crying now, and Lyon did not know what to do. For once he was lost of words.
"She would never look at me the same. She would move on and forget about me, she would fall in love with another man and…..and I will be alone." Lyon watched as Gray wept his heart. He pitied him, not because of his situation but because that was what Gray was asking. Pity. Attention.
"Damn it. I love you Juvia! Juvia can you hear me? I love you. I love you very much. I lied. I lied when I told you that I hate you." He threw all the things his hands touched, Lyon just watched him silently, letting him let out all his pain.
After hours of throwing a pit, he had to tell the residence that they were alright, Gray lied on the floor, face flat. At first he thought he was sleeping because of his exhaustion but then his shoulder shook violently. He sighed, combing his hair with his fingers; he went to the younger guy, and sit next to him. He reached for the alcohol, and took a swig on it. "If you love her, why did you break up with her?"
"You should fight for her."
Gray lifted his head up and stared at Lyon. "I wished I could but I can't" he admitted
"Then you're a coward." That stung him in every core.
He spun around, his back on the cold tiled floor. Resting his arm to cover his eyes he said "she is so beautiful, so kind, smart…everything. She is so perfect."
Lyon, tipped the bottle at him in a salute "Duly noted, Ultear is like that too."
"Juvia..she is an angel, a perfect definition of 'Love'" Lyon raised an eyebrow at him. Gray was becoming a poet.
"She deserves better. She needed someone who would give her all the love and attention she needed."
"And you can't?"
"You don't understand. I, I needed Love and attention, so was she, but I am so selfish because I only wanted to have all those. I can't even share it to her" Lyon's eyes fixed on Gray. "You know, you're father would be disappointed."
"Fuck him, the only thing I cared about was for Juvia to forget about me. I love her too much that I was saving her from a total heartbreak in the future"
Lyon just stared at him. Yap, he loved her too much that he was willing to sacrifice his own happiness for her. So the little boy that always followed him and asked to be carried on his back had grown up. Gray was a man now.
"You're not a coward. You never were"
When Gray entered their room, he sighed upon seeing Juvia sleeping already. She had her back turned on him. He went to his bags and took a change of clothes and went to the bathroom. After he finished cleaning up, he went to the bed and carefully slumped down. This day was really tiring.
He was about to turn the lights off when Juvia sat up. He almost had a heart attack, but he continued to turn the light off. She tiredly looked at him, and he immediately felt his heart broke upon seeing her red eyes and nose. "Gray...I—"she started but he cut her off.
"You cried." It was not a question but a statement. She looked taken aback and she lightly caressed her face with her fingers. She sadly smiled at him. She took a long sigh. "Yeah." She confessed.
Gray felt himself got angry, but not at her, but at himself. He was sure it was his fault why she cried. He hastily went towards her and grabbed her shoulders. Juvia stared at him, she looked so tired. His face was serious, and then he pulled her flush towards him. He nuzzled his head on the crook of her neck. With all the sincerity he could muster, he whispered. "I'm sorry."
Juvia couldn't understand herself anymore, when he said he was sorry, she actually believed him and she just didn't know how to react so she hugged him back and cry.
Upon feeling her shook with tremors and when he felt her tears cascaded down his shirt, his gripped on her became tighter. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" she continued and continued to apologize and Gray did not know what she was apologizing but then he forgave her already.
Because he loves her.
"Shhh…It's okay now. It's alright—" when he said that, she shook her head.
"N-no, it will never be alright" she said with voice full of anguish, she hugged him tighter and tighter, like when he let her go she would die.
"Juvia, It's alright—"
"No. I—forgive me." Gray had a feeling that she would never stop apologizing.
"You're wrong. It will be alright. I promise." His voice held no place for an argument, he pushed her a little and cupped her face with his hands, she just continued to cry, and her tears shimmered despite the darkness. Her eyes were half-lidded; she looked through him with eyes filled with haze. Gray wiped her tears with the pad of his thumb; he lightly brushed his lips on her wet cheeks.
Upon feeling his lips on her skin, Juvia kept on crying, she could not stop anymore, she just had to let it out.
Gray pulled away; he made her look at him. "Stop crying. Please."
She nodded at him, her hands, shaking, reached for her face but Gray stopped her. She was so tired. Tired of all this sick games she was playing. She was so tired being a villain. Just this one time, she wanted to feel loved. "k-kiss me." Her voice was practically begging him. Gray left her wrist and cupped her face, once more, and slowly and gently pressed his lips on her.
Juvia let him kiss her, she felt so loved, whenever he kisses her. She liked it. His kisses made her forget. She wanted to forget.
