I do not own Riddick...

Aerials guns started go off above my head as I sat on a perch so I slowly brought the welding goggles over my eyes as the bright lights ruptured. They were hitting these ships, invaders, these Necromongers. I started to sprint across buildings. It was easy to get across the city on the rooftops when people started to scatter from their houses. Rumbling above me as I watched a tower landed not far from where I was standing. The lights started to go off in huge grids. The planet was in darkness except for aerial fire. When I jumped down from the debris, everything was muffled. The screams of despair or fear were not heard. A child sitting covered in dust caught my attention. Slightly lifting my goggles, I watched these lights on this tower light up individually then break off. The invasion has officially begun.

Running again across rooftops since running against a sea of people was difficult. I could hear the fire of a heavy canon that sounded new. The Necromonger's were firing back. Sounds of crashing and engines could be heard all around me. It was not long when I watched the invasion infantry making their way into the city as more towers landed on the ground. "Stay back!"

I turned to see Imam was making his way across a street with his family not that far behind him. There was a humming from a space craft above us. I watched Imam beckoned his family to him. A loud shout rang in the silence. There were two regiments, one from opposite sides. The Helion Prime guards began to shoot at the Necro's so I grabbed Imam to pull him out of the way. "You following me?"

I watched as these Necro's men in a tight group protecting the one that carried a little staff of the tower. Imam tried to go back to his family even though he had fought me when I told him to wait till it was over. It was the last Necro with the staff that was the last to be shot down but he had activated something. These Necro's did not care for small battles. They were shielding the one man for that last one to be shot down. When the sphere from the staff finally exploded, the explosion was so massive that it left a huge crater in the ground, suddenly there were more Necro's. The explosion had killed the Helion Prime regiment. Once the Necro's marched off, I told Imam with my back towards him looking at the after math, "I borrowed a ship. You can ride along, if you don't mind riding with a convict."

"I thank you, but I must get my family across the river," he says when I turned to face him, "God willing there is still a shelter I can get them—"

"I'm sure God has his tricks, but getting out of places no one else can, that's one of mine. Let's get your family," I cut him off and walked passed him.

After two miles of dodging Necro's and bodies that littered the ground, Imam's family and I made it to an another alleyway. Imam remembered from when we were back on that planet of bioraptor's, keep up or you will be left behind. I motioned for them to halt which gave Imam the cue to hide in a little doorway on the other side of the area where I was hiding. A batch of Necro's was coming our way with this being that was breathing heavily. They were looking through the dead. This thing gave an odd screech. I was begun to eye a man that had a knife stuck in his back. Once they shot a man that was pretending to be dead was not actually, they began to move on to another person that was no longer faking death. The odd person began to click when it was slowly looking towards Imam and his family. I watched as Imam moved his family to the other side but he was caught. With a simple yell, he ran off, with some of the Necro's behind him. Soon that creature was making its way towards Lajjun and Ziza. I could hear their whimpers and cries. I quickly snapped the man looking at the controls and gave a sharp twist to the creature's neck killing both. I pushed the two deeper into the alleyway to hide so that I could look for Imam. Running in the direction that I heard his yell; I suddenly halted my progress facing the disappearing Necro's. As I turned towards the ground seeing the tooth necklace that Imam was wearing with a blood pool lying next to it. The drops of blood made a path towards a ledge. There lies Imam on a pool of blood dead on the ground floor. I turned to thinking about the Necro that had killed Imam. Grabbing the necklace that was on the ground, I swore that I would kill the man that murdered an innocent man.

In the mass of Helion Prime refugee's in the dome building, the Necro's were stationed along the exits. It was when a lone figure stood on a platform showing his superiority a man began to speak. Silence began to fill the room as the man or Purifier as the Necro men called him. Everyone was looked at each other while listening to the Purifier speaks. The refugees were shaken when the army of Necromonger's yelled their mantra. The whispers among the Helion Prime residents were disturbed by the thought of the threshold being death. The Purifier was losing the refugee's attention as they began to their clamoring. The leader began to his speech of how their Necro's were superior or how they no longer fought as feebly as before before they converted. A woman spits out in fear saying that there'll be no conversions. The Purifier spoke how he became a convert by how they took away his pain. The refugee's began to speak out how they would not convert or how these Necro's converts betrayed their faith. The leader of the Necro's stepped down from the stand towards a man that had spoken out loud against him saying that people were not going to be converted. With a simple move of the Leader's arm, it had gone through the refuge. A ghost like appearance was reaching out to the owner but the Leader had tossed it towards the ground. The man falls to the ground dead. In a state of shock also in fear everyone began to kneel to be converted. There was one lone man that did not kneel.

*Riddick*

I took off my hood looking at towards the man that killed Imam but turned my head when I watched a Necro man order me, "This is your one chance. Take the Lord Marshal's offer and bow."

With a simple turn to look at the man that was talking to me, "I bow to no man."

The Necro took off his helmet revealing pale like skin and dark hair. "He's not a man. He's the holy Half-Dead who has seen the Underverse."

"Look, I'm not with everyone here," with a simple tilt of my head, "But I will take a piece of him."

The Necro with the knife in his back lifted up his weapons when I pointed towards him, "A piece you will have."

The man that I wanted to fight wasted no time as he swung his axe making me lean back and shed off the cloak that I was wearing. He swung two more time which was easy to dodge underneath him. The Necro left his back wide open showing the knife, my weapon of choice. With a simple tug, the knife released its hold on the back. The Necro swung again which I had ducked and he left the body cavity open. With three simple deep stabs in strategic manner, Imam's death was avenged. The man's body fell down the stairs making the people part as if it was the Red Sea. As I turned around to walk out of the building, the Leader of the Necro's spoke out that they were supposed to stop me. Turning slowly, I watched him take out of the knife that I just used to kill his own man and continue making his way towards me

"Irgun. One of my best."

"If you say so." The Lord Marshal grinds his teeth at my comment.

"What do you think of this blade?" he holds out the blade to me with the palm wide open.

Quickly snatching the thing out of the Leader's hand. Flipping the blade over my hand and back then flicking it order for it to spin my hand grasped the hilt. I handed it back to him handle first, "I think it's a half-gram heavy on the back end."

He goes on about his faith and that they kept what they kill. The Lord Marshal grasps the weapon in my hand which turned out to be a standoff in strength. Something inside was warring that I should kill this man, "Are you familiar to me? Have we met on some distant field?"

Ripping my hand out of his, "You think I'd remember."

"You'd think I would too," A brief of silence then as he walked passed me, "Take him before the Quasi-Deads."

About seven men including the one that took off his helmet surrounded me when a female in a reptilian beige skin tight dress intervened, "Perhaps the breeder would do it if somebody just asked him."

The woman circled me in slowly when she came out from behind me, I checked her scent and all the while she was talking about how it was a rare offer to visit their ship. "It's been a long time since I smelled beautiful."

My inner animal did not like her scent at all. She smelled deceitful, plain, and nothing. It did not like it when I called the female this creature before me beautiful.

Soon after I began to follow the woman towards their spacecraft with all eight men trailed behind us. The Purifier and the man without the helmet trailed even closer to us. When entered the main entry hall, I lifted my goggles so that I could see clearer. With a slam, the doors shut behind me making me turn towards it though with a gentle scaled cloth hand, the female turned my head towards her. "Beautiful eyes. Come."

As she gently pulled my arm in the direction that the Lord Marshal wanted him to go, "The last six Lord Marshals have called this home. Magnificent, isn't it?"

I took in the architecture stating, "I might have gone a different way."

"True of us all," The Purifier mumbled behind us.

When my eyes caught the attention of a row of people; their body suspended in the air and something jammed into their neck, "Converts receiving the mark of a Necromonger. They learn how one pain can lessen another."

The female directed to pair of closed doors as she waved her hand, the doors open with two guards. Inside was a pedestal in a round room, statues in pain certain parts of the room. She directed me onto the pedestal stating that I stood the spot just perfect. I turned to look at the Lord Marshal. "The more you resist them," the female had already walked towards the doorway, "The greater the damage will be."

With the doors closed, I heard whispers saying, that the Necro's brought them a new one. I pulled out the knife that the Lord Marshal gave me. A light turns on the pedestal that I am standing on which locks up my arms. The knife shoots out of my hand then my body slams down in a kneeling position. A deep growl in my throat was let loose when I couldn't force myself to move. It must be reading something in my body that won't let me go. Five pods came out of the ceiling began to whisper when they all surrounded me. A grunt came out of my mouth as I felt something forcibly entered my mind. I fought hard to get it out of my head. With every time that I felt the thing enter my neocortex to look in my memories, I fought even harder, grunting with exertion. The Quasi-Dead had brought up the memory of Jack. I could still hear the kid in fear on that dead planet and how Imam told me that Jack went to Crematoria. "Now we find thoughts of Maria."

With a slam of my hand on the blade underneath me, I could still picture the girl standing in the door way of the crashed ship looking out into the darkness. As my memories focused on how Maria was standing and hearing that growl coming from her mouth. That was the time that my beast crooned at such a sight. I turned my head still trying to fight the Quasi-Dead. My thoughts brought up the Elemental that I spoke last night then Imam saying Furyan.

"Furyans."
