Chapter 10

A/N: Ah yes, another good chapter of A New Light. I hope guys are doing well and were patient in the newest update for this story. Keep in mind this is just the second chunk of a smaller amount of a 27k chapter me and my partner wrote. So there will be plenty of updates without a pause, in a way.

So my exams are upon me in about a week so this will be one of the few of updates that you'll be getting since I'll be studying myself into the ground.

I got no more words to say for now, so all I'll say to you now is enjoy the chapter.

And I know not all of you just like character development chapters, but for now, this is just plot driving to some slice of life and R&R. Hope you don't mind that. I promise you'll get some action soon.

And forgive me if some characters act a bit or way too OOC, but it has it's purpose and will make sense as time goes on.

This maybe a lot to ask of, but it would be totally awesome to see some fan art of this story, to see Artyom fighting off Beowolves or something. If any of you are artists out there, would you consider it please? It would be awesome to have some great fan art for this, maybe even for Becoming Human... Man I really ranted there :P

And with those who have submitted characters to Renewed, I'm doing what I can to get the three characters that will compliment the team. And since there's waaaay to many to count, it's gonna be awhile. So please be patient. I promise it'll be worth the wait.

But anyway, enjoy the chapter.

A Few Hours Later - Morning - Beacon Academy Library...

As the morning sunlight rose and shined, illuminating everything it touched, Beacon's Libary was still uninhabited, save for Artyom, who was still sleeping all by his lonesome on a table, dead like a log. That was until a familiar blonde hair, and glasses wearing professor showed up.

Glynda eyed the Metro teen, but not out of any form of annoyance, but out of curiosity. Ozpin and Khan had told her about the boy, and she felt sorry for him, as he'd been through things that would drive anyone, maybe even the most skilled Huntsmen, insane, out of their mind. And yet, Artyom still came out alive and sane. From what else she was told about Artyom, he lost his mother to a horde of rats, making him fear those rodents for all his life.

It became even worse when he destroyed the Dark Ones nest. He felt nothing but guilt and only wanted to kill himself, believing to have doomed humanity even more as they only wanted to help, but were mistaken as threats because of their power.

The Veteran Huntress could only feel sorry for the boy. Even more so since the possiblity of the two known factions from his world could very well be on Remnant and cause harm and destruction. They had the body of the Reich soldier Artyom found, which was soon to be buried out of respect, no doubt there's bound to be more, and the Red Line. All that must be stressful for the poor boy.

Then without warning, Glynda Goodwitch, the most strict professor of Beacon Academy, sat herself on the chair next to the sleeping teen, and did the unthinkable. She wrapped her right arm around him and held him close, like what a caring mother would do. This was completely out of character for Glynda, she was known as the most strictes teacher at Beacon, and would rarely show her emotions. Yet here she was, arm around the young Metro teen, and comforting him like how a mother would comfort a child.

Then without warning, Artyom began to move slowly, almost like he was waking up.

Glynda panicked. If he wakes up then she had to explain as to why she was sitting next to him with her arm around him. But he didn't wake up, instead, as if the sleeping Metro Teen knew someone was holding him, moved up and rested his head along Glynda's neckline, and wrapped his arms around her, almost like he was hugging her in his sleep.

She remained like this for a good while before she gently pried the Metro Teen's arms off of her and easily placed him back down on the table the way she found him prior. A warm feeling was within her chest the entire time she was with him, something intimate, though not in that way. Glynda then glanced over at the multitude of books on the table beside Artyom. "He must've read them and fell asleep in the process." A small gentle smile graced her face and she took the books from his possession and went to put them away.

Glynda had to admit, it had been awhile since she has felt such empathy for student in Beacon. Sure there was the occasional student with a very rough life, but Artyom's trumped them all considering how he grew up and what he had to survive and even killed for just to live.

The Veteran Huntress sighed softly as she placed the books away as she continued to think about the warm feeling she had bubbling inside her. It was tender and even loving. When the Metro Teen hugged her, it was shocking, though it quickly faded away into comfort. It confused her way she felt so, but deep down, she knew she had the answer to as why. Before she could continue her ponder at the thought anymore, a familiar face showed up from the other side of the bookshelf.

That familiar face happened to be Khan, who himself was just picking out a few books for himself when he notticed Glynda on the other side. He gave a welcoming smile to her. "Good morning, Miss Goodwitch, I didn't expect you to be here." He greeted.

"Good morning to yourself, Mr. Aitmatov," Replied Glynda.

Khan continued to smile as he took a book off the shelf, soon opening it and flipping through it with fascination. "Say, how was Artyom by the way, Miss Goodwitch? Is he alright?"

Glynda stopped what she was doing, almost like she was frozen on the spot. Did Khan see the whole thing?

Khan saw the look on her face before he chuckled at her, not making fun of her, but rather of a encouraging one. "To answer your question, yes, I did. But I'm not going to berate you or anything. In fact, what you did for him was kind of you to do so."

The Veteran Huntress was surprised hearing this from him, though she regained her composure."Really? Well, it is part of my job to help students out with their troubles."

Khan nodded. "Yes, but with Artyom it was different. Wasn't it?

Glynda then went back to her previous thoughts. Did she see something in Artyom that was different than from the rest of her students?

"I... I think so, but I'm unsure. I don't know why? I feel sorry for him after what he's been through, especially losing his mother at such a young age." She replied. "No one should go through such a thing that young."

"What your feeling is sympathy, and that's the obvious. But you are feeling something else, are you not?"

Glynda thought about more. Was she really feeling something else for Artyom? She felt sorry for the boy, that's for certain. But to feel something else, besides those inappropriate and lewd thoughts, she actually thought of him... as a son. What, that's it! That must the be the other feeling! She thought of him as a son! But why?

"I think... I think the feeling is..." Glynda said, albit nervous. "Seeing Artyom... as my own. Like a son to me."

Khan looked at Glynda with his smile unfaltering. "I can understand as to why." He said. "Artyom has been through a lot, even during my travels with him he didn't talk much. What you did for him was something that he'd been missing for all those years, the comforting love of a mother."

"Are you saying... I should be more like a mother to him?"

"Yes." Khan simply replied.

Glynda thought about it. It was not like her, but maybe she could be like a mother to Artyom a bit more. Maybe perhaps... consider him as her own. She needed some more time to think about it. "I think I need some time to think about it."

"Take as much time as you need. This must be a lot for you." He was right about that.

As Glynda finished putting away the last of the books, she said, "Well, thank you Khan. I'll think about it some more."

"It is no problem. But I think Artyom might like the idea." He said. "Now, I need to catch up on my research on this world. I must say, the use of this material called Dust is quite fascinating, same goes for Aura and Semblance."

An idea popped up in Glynda's head. "You know, if you and the other two would like, I and perhaps some other teachers could unlock both of your Aura's today." She offered. "We can start whenever you're ready with the others."

"That sounds fine. I'll go and let the others know about it." After he got the last book he needed, he bid farewell. Leaving Glynda alone again to her thoughts.

As she left the library, she thought about being more of a mother figure to Artyom. It was an interesting thought, a heartwarming one to be exact. "It would be nice to have a son." She said quietly. Smiling at the sudden image of her and a little Artyom on her lap. She shook her head to clear the image, she needed to focus on both today, and the idea.

Beacon Academy - Cafeteria...

The cafeteria was wasn't as occupied as usuall. Mostly because most of the students were either studying, catching up on assignments, already gone into Vale, or sleeping. Then again, it was the weekend as well the last couple days of vacation they all have currently before the second semester begins.

When Team RWBY arrived, they sat next to Team JNPR and Pavel, who, the latter was apparently reading his favorite book: The Three Musketeers. Well besides from Jaune, Pyrrha and Pavel, Ren and Nora were still back at their dorm. Apparently last night, Nora drank some of Pavel's Shroom Vodka he had left that was in a glass cup, thinking it was water. She immediately got extreamly drunk and pass out. By the morning, Nora had a massive hangover, so Ren stayed with her and make sure she was okay. And helped her when she needed a bucket.

Of course in Pavel's defense, she really shouldn't take other people's drinks. As is of the former Red Line Major.

Afterwards, Pyrrha asked about the screaming and yelling she had heard in the early confines of the morning. It wasn't easy, but the girls of Team RWBY told them what Artyom had told Blake, and the aftermath, which lead to a short argument between Yang and Weiss, when she thought the Schnee girl still believed that Artyom's story was made up.

The present members of JNPR were saddned to hear what happened. Hell, even Pavel didn't know, as he said, "Artyom just kept quiet most of the time during our travel together." They knew that Artyom's world was harsh, but how it was to him was unknown to the lot. They also had a feeling that there was more that he was keeping from them, but they didn't want to pressure him into revealing it since it was his private thoughts for himself. Instead they'll just let him tell them when he was ready. They didn't put any more pressure on Weiss, as she still felt a bit bad for all those negative comments she said about him, but they knew that Artyom is a forgiving person, and that put the Schnee girl at ease.

After that, they all decided that the tour of Vale for Artyom and Pavel would bring them back into their chearfull moods and lighten things up for the lot. Pavel was excited for the tour, although he was still a bit on edge of the thought of the Red Line finding him, that is if they were on Remnant. Luckily, Jaune offered to lend a few of his clothes to Pavel and Artyom, and so would Ren if he was fine with it. That way, in case there were any Reds, he would go unnoticed. Although the Russian accent would give it away, but then again, if they were on Remnant, they would be in hiding, or gone off to make a living instead of making themselves known.

When Artyom arrived, Ruby immediately noticed and waved to him, which he returned back. In response, the team leader of RWBY zipped over to him so he could grab his breakfast and quickly sit down with the,, which happened fairly quickly making the poor Ranger's head spin. But all in all, they managed to have a stomach filling breakfast and chatted happily with each other, though it was mostly Artyom and Pavel talking to each other in their respective language.

There was a moment of silence once all of them have finished their meals, minus the random chatter going on, until Pyrrha said, "So... Artyom."

Artyom looked at her for a moment. "Yes," He simply said, knowing were this was going.

"We... know what happened. And we just want to say we are sorry for what you had to go through. Nobody should have to go through what you did in losing someone like that."

Artyom was silent for a bit, not knowing what to say. He was greatful for their respect nonetheless. "Thank you, Pyrrha. Thank you... A-All of you. I know it's h-hard to un-understand, but if it makes you all f-feel any better, I d-do remember this one mo-moment with her."

Everyone leaned in. "What moment is that?" Asked Ruby, hoping that there is still some good moments.

A small smile appeared on the Metro teen's lips. Remembering the only thing that he could remember of him and his mother together. "Walking through a park. And getting ice cream. Mine was vanilla." But then a few tears appeared in his eyes. "That was a-all I could re-remember... but her face, I can j-just see..." Just then, a pair of arms were wrapped around him. Just one look at the hands indicated that it was Ruby, who got out from her seat and gave Artyom a hug from behind, and pressed her face on his back.

"Artyom..." She said. "Just remember, we're your friends, and we will always be there for you. So it's okay to tell us anything that troubles you okay. But feel free to take your time."

Artyom was a little taken back by what she said. Sure he had some friends before... like Eugine and Vitali... but they're both dead now... The only ones he had now were right here with him, helping him not only adjust to Remnant, but to let out all the long years of sorrow and pain.

"Thank you, Ruby. When the t-time comes, I'll tell all of you. For now, l-let's focus on the main point of the d-day."

Ruby then released her hold on the young Metro teen, and sat back next to her partner with a bright smile on her face.

"Well, if you're going to focus on the tour, we should plan on what we should do," Said Blake. She then looked at Artyom and Pavel. "Where would you two like to go then?"

The two Metro teens thought about it for a bit. "Well, since we're both new to this world, I think it's best if you show us around, da? (yes)." Said Pavel.

Everyone looked at Artyom to see what his respons was. "Pavel's right, it's b-best if you show us." Artyom got up from his seat, with his now empty tray and bowl in hand. "I'll be r-right back."

"Okay, we'll be back at the dorms in a bit." Said Ruby. As they both departed, Artyom made his way to the dish disposal area. After, as he made his way back to his dorm, he failed to notice a pair of brown rabbit ears since his arrival.

With Velvet and Coco...

As Velvet watched Artyom leave, she let out a dissapointed sigh. She hoped that Artyom would come and talk to her, but hearing that he and his friend were going on a tour in Vale, she let it slid since he would be in a hurry to get to the Airship Docks. That and he didn't see here, perhaps he was also tired and drowsy from waking up.

She did however notice the saddened look that he had, before it became a small smile. It had something to do with his mother, and ice cream thanks to her heightened hearing. She couldn't make out the rest as there were still a lot of chatter going about, so it was hard for her to hear. She did saw Ruby go up behind him and give him a hug, and for some reason it made her... jealous? No, it can't be, Artyom and Ruby are only friends, they can't be that close, right?

Right?

Then again, Ruby is kind, cheerful, and caring, she would be a decent girlfrined for him. But then why does she feel this slight pain where her heart was? Did she really have that certain feeling for Artyom? Well, so far he was kind to her, and best of all he saved her from Cardin and threatened him in some odd language and then said that he would put a bullet in between his eyes if he'd do something like that again. The tone he used was frightening enough to make Cardin whimper as he ran, but when talked to her, his voice was suddenly replaced by a calm and soothing tone. When she looked directly into his face, she saw how good looking, and how caring he was to her.

Oh, great. Her face was becoming warm again.

However, her little blush didn't go unnoticed. "Thinking about Stutter Boy again, Vel?" Asked a certain cocoa-coloured beret and black aviater wearing girl. Apparently, after Velvet told her what happened that day, Coco decided to give Artyom the nickname, Sutter Boy, due to his stuttering.

Besides her beret and aviater glasses, she was wearing simple casual clothing that consisted of a brown coloured button shirt that was opened to reveal a black shirt underneath. Below was a pair of black skinny jeans with a belt that had her signiture gold crosshair belt buckle and black boots. She also has short, dark brown hair and dark-brown eyes. Wavy locks on one side of her face, that is dyed with a gradient that starts in dark brown and transitions to orange.

This is Coco Adel. Team leader of Team CFVY, and a 'Big Sister' figure to Velvet.

Velvet blused a bit from embarrasement. She was thinking about Artyom again, and she'd been doing ever since that day. "Yes..." She shyly replied. Not wanting to admit it, but her face was against her.

Coco just smiled at her 'Little Sister'. "Don't beat yourself up about it, I'm sure he's got some things on his mind."

"Well... he is going into Vale today for some tour."

Suddenly, as if a light bulb appeared above the team leader's head, Coco got an idea to help her 'Little Sister' with her love trouble.

Coco was aware of Velvet's little 'crush' on the Metro teen. It wasn't hard to miss whenever she mentions him, her face becomes a bit red. She made a mental note to see Artyom in person, just to see what the fuss was about. Not only did Velvet find him good looking, in comparison to Jaune, but he was aslo kind and had this odd accent. Coco did see him from time to time, and she pointed out that his taste in clothes were bad. She's seen him wear that same military-like uniform ever since she first seen him. She hoped that he would at least get some new clothes, and decent ones at least. It was driving her nuts.

Back to the main point, Coco came up with a brilliant idea. "Well, if he's going into Vale today, why don't you go with him then. I'm sure he would looove that." She said with the word 'love' slightly extended.

As much as Velvet hated how Coco said 'love', she had a good idea. "Yea... I should." She agreed. Not fully on board with it, even though it was good. Coco smiled at her 'Little Sister', Velvet had always been shy, especially when it came to boys, but since she was a Faunus she would always go unnoticed. But for some reason, this Artyom fellow seemed to be something to her. And Coco knew exactly what it was, but decided to see how it would go from here.

Without warning, Coco grabbed Velvet's hand and dragged the shy girl back to their dorm. "Well let's go and find you something suitable then!" She said in excitement. Velvet didn't even bother to protest, so she just went with it.

Team RWBY Dorm...

When Artyom arrived, Jaune gave him some of his spare clothes, which consisted of Jaune's hoodie, which had the reddish-orange sleeves and his embelem on the chest, a gray t-shirt, blue boxers, blue pants with the white patch on the left knee, as well as his spare pair of black shoes. For some reason, they had the words "left" and "right" written on the respective shoes' soles. This was one of the things Artyom noticed about Jaune.

"Wow, I heard he was a bit of a goof, but to label your shoes to know which one goes on what foot..." Artyom thought. Sure he understood as to why anyone would label something, but to label your own shoes to know which foot they go on, and considering his age... it wouldn't surprise the teenage Ranger if Jaune had to label his own Kalash magazine's with the words "bullets" and "MRG = money". But he decided to let it go since it was not important. For now.

Of course, before Artyom could even get changed for the first time since his arrival, Weiss told him that he need to shower first. He didn't understand as to why, but that was until Weiss pointed out the he smelt awful. He took one small whiff of himself and almost lost his breakfast because of the horrid scent.

Well, who could blame him? He'd gone through areas that had the smell of rotting corpses, blood, dirt and mud, and showers weren't a complete necessity in the Metro since water had to be conserved.

When Artyom went into the dorm bathroom, he stripped himself of his Ranger uniform, and was now in a white and blue striped singlet, and a pair of black boxers. All of which were dirty with sweat and slightly torn. He then looked himself in the mirror, going over his young face again. He then took off his singlet, and looked over his upper pale white body. He wasn't as athletic as most people, he had a slim build, but he had the strength to keep a Nosalis off and the energy to keep on running to the next Station over if he had the chance.

It was odd looking over the body that once had scars from various claw marks, bullet wounds, burns, etc. But now it had neither of those, besides the resent marks on his arms from when the Ursa Major pinned him down. As he looked himself over again, he thought to himself, "Huh, Yang said I looked eighteen when we first meet, but for some reason I look and feel seventeen again. Must be my height that got them thinking that I was a year older, I was a bit taller than most people back home, and I'm about the same height as Yang."

After going over himself one last time, Artyom stripped off the last piece of clothing, stepped into the shower stall, and turned it on. When the warm water hit his face, he was in complete bliss. The water was warm, clean, and it felt nice as it washed over his black hair and pale white skin. Artyom then looked around for any hair washing products, as you can imagine his hair must've been filthy, with all the dirt and what not. He found a few, four at least, and picked the one that apparently would make your hair smell of strawberries, no doubt this one had to be Ruby's, since she likes eating them as much as she liked her cookies.

After applying the smooth and light red substance on his hair and later washing it out, Artyom went on to scrub the rest of his body, washing away the remaining dried blood and dirt.

Once he was done, he stepped out of the shower and after drying off, got dressed in the spare clothes. It felt comfortable to wear something that was fresh, and the farbric felt nice, even though some of the pieces of clothing were a bit big, considering Jaune was a bit taller than him. But no matter, it felt nice to wear new clothes anyway.

As he came out of the bathroom while carrying his Ranger unifrom, singlet and boxers, he saw Yang and Blake wearing their casual day clothes, which consisted for Yang, a yellow tank top, black leather jacket, and matching colour jeans and boots, and leather gloves. For Blake, she wore a blackt-shirt with a white button up shirt covering it, black pants and shoes, along with her signiture bow. The two looked like they were ready to go.

"Wow, Arty, those clothes look better on you than Jaune." Yang commented, while also earing a raised eyebrow and confused look on his face when Yang said "Arty".

"Arty?" He questioned, being caught off guard by it.

"Yea, Arty. It's just a nickname I came up with for you. Don't you like it?" Responed the blonde.

Artyom shook his head. "N-no, I'm just not f-f-familiar to nicknames. E-except that one time of course." Yang knew who he was refering to. How she knew? When he was asleep the other day, she managed to sneak a small peak at his journal, and it remained unknown to him sadly.

"Well okay then. So, are you ready to head into Vale?" She asked. Earning a bit of an eager nod from the teen, earning a smile from the blonde and raven haired girl. However, Artyom had noticed that Weiss and Ruby were nowhere around.

"Where is Weiss and Ruby?" He asked, while looking for any signs of the two girls.

Blake responded, "Oh, while you were in the shower, Weiss found out that Ruby hasn't yet finished her assignments from both Port and Oobleck's classes, so she took her to the library to finish them off. They said they were sorry they could't come along, but they did say they hoped you and Pavel have a good day in Vale."

"Oh, okay then. P-perhaps next time they come with us to V-vale, yes?" He asked with hope in his voice.

Yang gave him a smile. "Yeah, next time we can all spend the day together. Maybe we can go to the beach or something" That sounded like a great idea to the Metro teen, perhaps he could get himself some swimwear while in Vale. That's if the beach or any sort of deep water areas here don't have anything that wants to eat you that is like the Shrimps. "Now let's go see if Jaune, Pyrrha, and Pavel are ready."

"Alright, I j-just need to put my R-Ranger uniform away first."

"Okay, we'll just wait outside the drom for you and the others," Said Blake.

As the two girls left to wait outside, Artyom went into his room and placed his Ranger unifrom on his bed. As he left, he stopped for a moment, then quickly went to look for a pen or pencil and some paper of any kind to write on.

After finding what he needed, and writing a short note in his best English writing, and placed it on top of his Ranger uniform, and left.

The contents of said note was...

Dear Weiss

Please don't throw away my unifrom. Thank you.

Artyom

Artyom had a feeling that Weiss would do something to his unifrom, but even if she didn't, it was best to be safe. Sure the two had a better realationship now, but he was told that the Schnee girl tended to go back to her usual self. He did not pay no mind to it, as long as she respected everyone else, then things with them will be fine.

When Artyom left the dorm, he was introduced to the sight of Yang and Blake, who were sneaking a few kisses and feels already, and they even started to deep kiss. As much as Artyom would have enjoyed the site, he shook his head of any of those thoughts and cleared his throat to snap them out of their moment.

Yang removed her lips from Blake's, a string of saliva still connecting the two until it broke. Both their faces were red in embarrassment from being caught making out in open. Blake tried to hide her shame by looking away, while Yang acted casual, trying to act as if they didn't get caught making out in public. "Oh! Artyom, hey! You're ready and... you saw didn't you?" Said blonde mumbled in embarrassment.

Artyom had his arms crossed with an eyebrow raised at the two. "Yes. I did. And w-why out here? You two c-couldn't wait until we came back or s-s-something?"

Blake looked back at the Metro teen, still a bit of red on her face. "It was her idea." She blamed, still averting her eyes away from the blonde.

Yang took it as an offence, but soon had a wicked grin appear on her face, she turned the tables against her Faunus girlfriend. "Hey, you mentioned during our little makeout sesh that it reminded you of a scene from your book." Said Faunus girl looked away again in defeat with red on her face again.

Before any more could be said, the door to Team JNPR - P's dorm room opened, and come out Jaune, Pyrrha, and Pavel.

Jaune was wearing a brown jacket over a black t-shirt with a white shield imprint on the front, brown pants, and white shoes.

Pyrrha was wearing a white shirt that was slightly opened at the top, reavealing a red singlet, blue jeans and black dress shoes. He hair wasn't tied up in her usual waist-lenght pony tail, instead it was let loose with a few long strands of her hair in the front.

And Pavel was wearing a large green v-neck hoddie over a gray shirt, white pants, and black shoes. He wasn't wearing his tank commander hat, showing his unkempt brown hair.

"Privet (Hey), guys! Artyom, you ready to go into the city?" Pavel asked in excitement. And just like Artyom, he too had a shower, as his brown unkempt hair was still a bit wet. Looks like Weiss told him that he smelt too.

Artyom nodded in response, but then notcied a certain stoic boy and energetic absent from the group. Soon after it was all explained to him, Artyom just looked at Pavel with a "Really?" look. "Seriously, Pavel?"

"Privet! Eto byla ne moya vina! YA prosto ostavil yego tam, i ona sbitykh yego bystreye, chem storozh yest chelovek tseloye!" (Hey! It wasn't my fault! I just left it there and she downed it quicker than a Watchman eating a man whole!) Pavel shouted back at him.

"Tem ne meneye vasha vina." (Still your fault)

Pavel just grumbled with their respective team members laughing at the ordeal. "C'mon, let's get going before we miss our flight. Don't want to be stuck here forever," Yang explained now holding hands with Blake as they began to walk, aline dragging Blake along with her. The rest just looked at each other and all agreed silently to follow suit.

Although, unknowing to them, they were going to get a new addition to their group. One which, sadly, forgot.

Team CFVY Dorm - Coco And Velvet's Room...

In the dorm room of Team CFVY, Coco had been helping her 'Little Sister', Velvet, pick out various outfits. So far, all the ones that Coco had picked were slightly revealing ones, though she argued back saying it was vital to catch the eyes of the Metro teen.

Right now, Velvet was wearing an orange tank top that only covered half her upper body, black shorts that were clinging onto her rear and showing off her smooth legs and thighs, and yellow sandals. The Rabbit Faunus blushed upon seeing herself in the mirror. "This... this is too much."

"Oh, come on, it's not that bad. Besides, we're trying to help you get Stutter Boy's attention."

"By dressing like this?" Velvet nervously deadpanned, indicating the mass reveal of skin with her hands pointing at herself.

Coco giggled in response. "Maybe, but don't you want to get his attention?"

Velvet looked at herself in the mirror again. "Well... yes I do, but not this way." She sat herself down on her bed next to the berret wearing girl. "What if he doesn't like me, Coco?" She nervously said while fidgiting with the top.

Coco scoffed. "Oh, please. With a body like that and those cute ears to boot, he's sure bound to notice you. But if you're unsure if he likes you, why don't you go and talk to one of his friends? I'm sure they could help you out."

Velvet took a moment to think about the idea. If she could ask Artyom's team members, perhaps they could give her some tips and information about him. "Okay, I'll do that."

Coco smiled at the rabbit girl. "That's my girl. Now, lets get you something else to wear." She went through Velvet's wardrobe and later had a stack of clothes. She threw them on Velvet's bed and before she walked out of the room she said. "This time I'll let you pick what you want to wear." As soon as Coco closed the door, Velvet looked at the pile of clothes that laid on her bed, then began picking out the outfit she wanted.

Coco was waiting in the dorm lounge, cleaning her shades, when after a couple of minutes of waiting, the door to her and Velvet's room opened up. Coco got a good look at Velvet's choice of oof clothing, it wasn't as what she expected, but it was fine with her. She then let out a whistle from Velvet's new look. "Damn girl, not a bad choice. Shame though it doesn't show off your good looks, but that's better than nothing." She went and grabbed Velvet by her hand. "Now come one, Stutter Boy and his friends might be leaving already."

Beacon Academy - Airship Docks...

When the group made it to the Airship Docks, they found there were none left, but after Pyrrha looked over the schedule, she told the group that the next one will be coming back from Vale shortly. So while they waited, Artyom decided to ask Yang and Blake about something that he'd been meaning to know about. If they didn't mind of course.

"Hey, Yang, Blake." Said girls faced him. "I've been wondering. How d-did you two get to-together?"

Yang and Blake looked at each other, both thinking on how to tell their story of how they got together. Yang was the first. "Well... it started sometime after our initiation, we ended up talking a lot, and then out of the blue I said "Hey! You wanna go out sometime?". Blake meant as in a date, as her face became red."

Blake gently elbowed her blonde girlfriend in left arm. This time, Blake told her side. "After a while, we both felt a connection to each other, but we were both nervous to tell each other how we feel, and after some thought, I decided to tell her how I felt about her. Funny thing was, she had the same idea and we ended up both saying that we love each other. And now, here we are." Blake finished by kissing Yang on the cheek, then Yang kissing her on the lips soon after, causing both the boys to look with red on their faces from the scene.

After Yang departed her lips from her Faunus girlfriend, she saw the looks the boys had. "Take a pitcure, it will last longer." She teased, casuing the boys to shake their heads to clear their thoughts.

Before anything could be said, an Airship had arrived from Vale.

"Hey, our rides here." Said Jaune.

As they watched the Airship dock, which still amazed the Metro teens, a familiar voice called out to them.

"Hey, wait up! Don't forget me!"

When the group turned to face the source of the voice, they saw Velvet, running towards them. When she finally made it, she was hardley panting, probably due to her Faunus heratige.

She was wearing a red zip up hoodie, a white shirt that was a bit big for her as it reached past her waist, red track pants with a white strip on each side, and a pair of black and white trimed sneakers. "I... want to come along too." She nervously said.

Yang only smiled at the rabbit girl. "Then come on, our rides about to leave soo." And with that, both the group and Velvet boarded the Airship that was heading backing into Vale.
