5 years later-

Christmas morning came very early in the Winchester household. Sam and Gabriel were sound asleep (well, Sam was, Gabriel was just resting) when, at 6 on the dot, two little bodies ran in and jumped on them.

"Get up!"

"It's Christmas! Get up!"

"Daddy! Papa! Come on!"

The twins were six now and their wings were now under their control. They still appeared sometimes when they got too excited, but for the most part, they stayed hidden.

Gabriella's hair now reached the middle of her back, while Mitchell sported a similar haircut to Uncle Dean.

Sam grinned as he opened his eyes. Six years later and he never got tired of waking in one spot, not having to worry about monsters trying to kill them. He still hunted sometimes, but not as much as he used to. Dean was the same way. They still went on the occasional hunt with Castiel and Gabriel, but for the most part, they enjoyed their apple-pie life.

Dean and Castiel were doing well. A year ago, they had adopted a little boy named Nathaniel. Nate had black hair similar to Castiel's, but eyes so dark you would have to search for the pupil.

Bobby and Jody were now together, had been for nearly four years now thanks to Aphrodite, who was also still around. Crowley had slowly warmed up to everyone and no longer flinched when a kid grabbed his hand.

Michael and Balthazar still hung around too. They often popped in a couple times a month. It seemed Michael had a real soft spot for children.

Everyone was headed to Bobby's today for the holiday. They were supposed to be there by noon.

"I'll start on breakfast if you get them dressed," Sam said, turning to look at his husband. They had finally tied the knot when the twins were two.

"Fine by me," Gabriel said, getting up and scooping a twin into each arm. "What do you guys want to wear today?"

"Can I wear that pretty dress Aunt Afro got me last week?" Gabriella asked. "The one with the bow?"

"Sure thing," Gabriel answered. "What about you, Mitch?"

"Aunt Afro didn't get me a dress," he said, sounding thoroughly put out by the thought. Sam laughed as he left the room to go start fixing the food.

Shortly after he started, the three others came into the kitchen. Gabriella was wearing the red dress with the black bow on the back that Aphrodite had gotten her. Mitchell was dressed in black pants and a simple white shirt. Gabriel was still wearing the sleep pants and shirt he had worn to bed.

"So are we going to talk about Mitch's sudden preference to dresses?" Gabriel whispered to Sam as he hugged him from behind.

"I don't know where it came from," Sam answered.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I have no problem if he wants to wear dresses and be pretty. Go for it man. My thing is I don't want him hurt when other kids laugh at him," Gabriel said.

"Me either, but you know Balthy won't allow that to happen. Or Dean, for that matter," Sam pointed out.

"True. So, what? Do we let him change and see if he really does want to wear a dress? Because he's been asking for one for about a month now."

"I guess. I'll call Dean ahead of time so he doesn't burst into laughter when he sees him," Sam said. Gabriel kissed his neck and turned to his son.

"Okay, Mitchell. I talked to Daddy. Do you still want to wear a dress to the party?" Gabriel asked.

"Yeah!" Mitchell answered, throwing a fist into the air. That was a habit picked up by watching Uncle Dean.

"Boys can't wear dresses though. Can they?" Gabriella asked.

"Sure they can. If a boy wants to wear a dress, he can. Girls wear pants, don't they? That was originally for boys," Sam answered.

Gabriella nodded and then grinned at her brother. "I think my blue dress with the white belt would look cute on you," she said.

"Awesome," her brother said. Another trait from Dean. Sam was really going to have to limit their contact. Mitchell had developed almost an obsession with being like Uncle Dean. Except for the wanting to wear dresses. Lord knew where that came from, but if Dean ever asked to wear a dress, Sam would die from laughing.

Gabriel took Mitchell to get changed and Sam finished breakfast. After a few moments, the two returned. Sam had to give his daughter credit, that dress did look cute on Mitchell. Only the hairstyles and eye color gave away which twin was which, they looked that similar.

After they finished, they began loading up the car for when it was time to leave. The twins, thanks to Gabriel, were stronger than most kids their age and were a lot smarter. Thankfully, no other abilities seemed to show. But it made them helpful in getting the car loaded.

While Gabriel could just pop them over, they had a lot of presents for everyone, so it was better to take the car.

"Gabby! Mitch! Come on in," Bobby said, waving to them from the front porch. The twins looked to their dads, who nodded, then ran off.

Sam gave Bobby credit as the older hunter managed not to laugh when he saw both twins were wearing dresses. He did smile fondly, but kept his laughter to himself.

Jody came out too and helped Sam and Gabriel unload the car. Dean, Castiel, and Nathanial had not gotten there yet.

"One question," Balthazar said, popping in next to Sam. Michael appeared next to him. "Why is my nephew wearing a dress?"

"He's been asking for one for about a month now. We figured we'd let him wear one to see if he really wants one or not," Gabriel answered.

"That is a brave decision," Michael said. Balthazar snorted, but stopped when Michael slapped him upside the head.

"Hey! Jerk," Balthazar muttered. Michael leaned in.

"I may be a jerk, but you still love me," he whispered.

If Balthazar had been human, he would have been bright red by now. As it was, he coughed awkwardly and glared when Gabriel laughed.

"Okay! Let's get this show on the road!" the blond angel said a bit too loudly.

Sam and Gabriel chuckled and continued unloading the car. All of a sudden, their twins were right there. Apparently, they could now appear and disappear like their father.

"Nate's here!" Gabriella said, pointing off into the distance.

"And Uncle Dean!" Mitchell added as if Nathanial would just be arriving by himself.

True enough, the familiar black car rolled up. No sooner had it stopped than the back door opened and three-year-old Nathanial hopped out and ran over.

"Uncle Sammy! Uncle Gabe!" the little boy yelled, grabbing the adults in order. He hugged their legs, then moved onto Michael and Balthazar and repeated the process, calling Balthazar 'Balthy' and Michael 'Mike'.

"Come on, Nate. Aunt Afro is bringing Richard and we need to hide his treats," Gabriella said, grabbing the toddler's hand and almost dragging him away. Mitchell waited until Castiel and Dean were out of the car before he ran over and jumped up, making Dean have to catch him or he'd fall.

"Hey, Mitch. I see Sammy let you wear the dress," Dean said, grinning.

"Yeah! But I had to wear my own boxers under it. I can't fit Gabby's panties," Mitch explained.

"Makes sense. Alright, why don't you give Uncle Cas a hug, then go help your sister and Nate?" Mitchell nodded, so Dean set him down. Mitchell gave Castiel a quick hug, then ran off.

"Did you set my son up?" Sam asked, walking over to Dean.

"What? No!" Then he laughed. "Okay, a little, but I assure you, he really did want to wear the dress. I just told him to keep asking until you said yes."

"Jerk."

"Bitch."

"Hey, Cas," Sam said, turning to Castiel.

"Hello, Sam," Castiel replied.

"You guys are just in time for the big feast," Aphrodite said, appearing out of nowhere.

"Yum," Dean said. "I'm starving."

"You're always hungry," Sam pointed out.

"So? Sue me." With that, Dean walked off.

Sam just laughed and joined his husband in walking into the house.

Jody had cooked most of the food with the help of Aphrodite. The angels and Crowley didn't eat, but everyone else dug in and complimented the two females for their wonderful hand at cooking.

"Never thought this would happen," Dean said at one point.

"What? A Christmas dinner?" Bobby asked.

"Yeah. One where I have a family, where Sam's here with his own family, you're here, no one is trying to eat us. I just never thought that this would ever happen to me. I mean, it's been six years since our last tuss up with the supernatural. How many hunters could say that?" Dean asked.

"Your mother until Sam was born," Michael said. He instantly regretted it as he expected Dean to hit him.

"Yeah. True. I found some letters from her, by the way, when I was helping clean out Bobby's attic," Dean said.

"Yeah, they were never addressed to anybody, but they described her life from the time she made the deal, to the say she died," Bobby added.

"Can I see them?" Sam asked.

"Not yet. Wait until we open the presents," Dean answered.

Sam was confused, but let it drop as they finished eating.

Today I gave birth to my second son. He's so perfect. I wanted to name him Henry, after John's father, but John insisted we name him Samuel after my own. I could never say no to John, so I agreed and we named him Samuel. Dean's excited, he wants to meet his little brother.

Not even a day old and he's already got a head full of hair. I already know I'm going to be giving this one a lot of haircuts as he grows. If I ever live that long. Honestly, I think I will be dead long before Sammy is even sitting up. But I just hope that John doesn't introduce them into my world. I want my babies to have a happy life. I want them to grow old and have children and wives, or husbands depending on where their interests lay.

I would love to grow old with them, but I know that chance is slim. I wish I could tell Sammy and Dean how much I love them. Dean would remember, but Sam is too young right now.

Got to go for now, Sammy had woken and is hungry. Better feed him before John gets here with Dean and Bobby.

Sam read his mother's words, noting how he wrote nearly the same way as her. Dean's handwriting favored their father.

"Daddy?" Gabriella asked, crawling into Sam's lap. They were home now and Sam had finally opened the simple wooden box that Dean had given him. He said he had already read them, so he wanted Sam to have it.

"These are from your grandmother. She died long before you were born," Sam said, showing her the letter.

"What happened to her? Did a demon get her?" she asked.

"Yeah. But your granddad got the demon that killed her. Your granddad was a hero," Sam said.

She smiled. "So he was like you?" she asked.

"He was very much like him," Gabriel answered. He had already lain Mitchell down for bed and had come to get Gabriella.

After the twins were fast asleep, Gabriel crawled into bed with Sam.

"A hero in his own right," Gabriel whispered as he began kissing and sucking on Sam's neck.

"Not really a hero," Sam argued, arching his neck to give Gabriel more room.

Sam hissed as Gabriel suddenly bit down. "You are a hero. Don't ever believe different," he murmured, soothing the pain with his tongue.

"Right," Sam said, running his hands over Gabriel's back. "Does that make you my groupie?"

Gabriel chuckled. "I will be anything you want me to be."

They quickly divested themselves of their clothes and took their time to explore the bodies they had grown to know over the years.

Since Gabriel was an archangel, he was able to prep himself with Sam's help. Sam sank in, relishing the heat and pressing kisses to Gabriel's body.

"I love you, Gabe. I think I've loved you since you stuck us in that tv land," Sam said, finding a pace that both of them loved.

"Better than me. I've been in love with you since I first saw you in that collage," Gabriel said.

Neither of them mentioned Mystery Spot, since that had been Gabriel's poor attempt to put Sam on the right path.

They reached completion at the same time and collapsed onto the bed, falling asleep holding each other.

Sam was woken to the sound of retching. He quickly hopped up and pulled on a pair of boxers before rushing to their bathroom. Gabriel was leaning over, looking pale but happy.

"You know that time, about three weeks ago, where Dean took the twins for the night?" Gabriel asked.

Sam remembered. He had made Gabriel scream that night. "Yeah. Why?"

"I think the twins are going to get a little sibling."

It took a moment for Sam to comprehend, but when he did, he rushed over and grabbed his husband in a big hug.

"Oh my god! Best present ever!" he yelled.

It didn't get better than this. Not for Sam Winchester.
