Dragon Ball Shippuden
Tenka'ichi Budokai saga
Goku: GROAR!
Kurama no Kyubi: Sorry for the giant ape running amok. (looks over shoulder) Can someone do something about Goku, already? No? Oh, fine. (turns back to the camera) Anyway, let's get over to the reviews so we can start the chapter.
Naruto: AAAAAAAAAH! HELP! (is thrown through the air by Goku)
Kid Goku Forever: Great chapter. I guess Naruto is a Saiyan and the full moon made his tail grow back if he had one before.
Kurama no Kyubi: He didn't, somehow his tail was never there to begin with. Though you're right with assuming that his tail grew out because of the full moon.
"Kamehameha." Normal speech
'Kamehameha.' Normal speech
"Kamehameha." Biju speech
'Kamehameha.' Biju thought
Jackie Chun: Kurama no Kyubi doesn't own anything.
Chapter 9: Oozaru
"Unless I m-m-miss my guess… contestant Son Goku has just turned into a giant monkey!" The announcer said as Goku had indeed been turned into a large ape.
"What do I do now?" Jackie Chun yelled as Goku roared.
"Does anyone know the name of this move?" The announcer asked.
"It's not a move!" Oolong said.
"I-it's the thing we feared the most…!" Bulma said.
"Oh, yes… m-most…!" Pu'ar said.
"What happened to him?" Tenten asked.
Just as this was happening, Krillin and Lee watched with wide eyes as a furry red tail grew from Naruto's back and tore through his GI.
"Ugh." Naruto grunted in pain before looking behind him to see the furry appendage "What in–?" Just then, however, Goku broke out of Jackie's attack and landed with one foot on the stage and the other inside the tournament building.
"Agh! Wh-wh-what's that?!" Krillin yelled as he looked up at the giant ape.
"H-he burst the Bankokubikkuri-shou like a… like a…" Jackie Chun said as Goku roared, causing the people in the audience to start running. Goku then punched a hole through the tournament building before grabbing the elevated part of it and throwing it over the crowd.
"Hey! Whoa! Watch it!" The announcer said as he was trying to dodge some of the falling debris before saying "You're not gonna win by crushing the referee."
"I can't just stand here, b-but I can't run or I'll go out of bounds and lose." Jackie Chun said as Goku continued to destroy the tournament building.
"Okay, Goku. You can change back! You don't have to kill the whole audience!" Krillin yelled before a piece of debris fell down towards him, Lee, and Naruto and they jumped out of the way, though Naruto was supported by Lee.
"I don't think he heard you." Lee said.
"Out of the way, everyone!" They then turned towards Jiraiya who was in the midst of weaving a series of hand-signs before slamming his right palm onto the ground "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" A massive smoke cloud then appeared and when it faded, it revealed a giant red toad.
Goku stopped pounding on the poor building to look at the toad who just looked back at him before shifting his gaze upwards towards Jiraiya who was now standing on his head.
"Jiraiya, why did you summon me?" The toad asked.
"Sorry, Bunta, but we've got ourselves a little problem here." Jiraiya said and Gamabunta looked back towards the ape.
"Yes, I see that. Care to fill me in?" Gamabunta asked.
"That ape is actually a 12-year old boy, so we need to take care of him without killing him, got it?" Jiraiya said.
"A 12-years old boy? Well, there sure are some strange things in this world." Gamabunta said before drawing his sword and leaping at the giant ape as said ape roared.
Akatsuki
"Well, isn't this an intriguing turn of events." Kisame commented as he and the other Akatsuki all looked at what had happened to Goku.
"What do you suggest we do, Itachi?" Sasori asked.
"Hmm, our mission just got a whole lot harder. I can sense that Goku-kun's become ten times stronger than he was before. As he is now, even all of us combined would be hard-pressed against him." Itachi said as he observed the fight between Goku and Gamabunta.
"Maybe. But he must have a weak-point, everything does." Sasori said.
"Which is exactly why you covered yourself in that ridiculous armor." Kisame teased as he looked down at Sasori, though everyone ignored him.
"That's what I'm trying to find out now." Itachi said as he studied the battle, looking for a weak-point that Goku may have.
Tenka'ichi Budokai
Goku delivered an upper-cut to Gamabunta's lower jaw, sending the toad backwards before landing back on the ground as he swiped his sword at Goku, but the large ape simply stepped out of the way before delivering a right hook to the left side of the toad's head, causing the toad to collapse onto the ground. Gamabunta then swung his sword at Goku's legs, but the ape simply jumped up, however, that proved to be a mistake as Gamabunta jumped up as well and swung his sword diagonally downwards, causing a deep wound to appear from Goku's left shoulder to his right hip as blood gushed out.
The two giants then landed back down and Goku spun around, hitting Gamabunta in his right cheek with his powerful tail and the toad collapsed back down on the ground. However, as he rose to his feet, he swung his sword at the ape's tail, realizing that said tail could also be used as a method for attacking. But Goku – as if on instinct – quickly moved his tail away, something that caught both Jiraiya's and Itachi's eyes.
Goku then opened his mouth as energy suddenly started gathering in his maw and all of a sudden, a large blue beam shot out and his Gamabunta in the chest, sending him flying as he burst into smoke and Jiraiya landed in a crouched position on the ground.
"Jiraiya-sama, are you all right?" Yamcha asked as he came over to him.
"Yeah, don't worry." Jiraiya said as he rose to his feet, however, Goku then looked down at them before aiming to punch them. Though just before he could hit them, his arm was hit by a barrage of explosions.
"What the…?" Dumbcha said before Itachi suddenly two clay birds suddenly came down, Deidara and Sasori standing on one and Itachi and Kisame standing on the other before Itachi jumped down and landed next to Jiraiya and Yamcha just as the others came over to them.
"Akatsuki!" Dumbcha growled between gritted teeth.
"Hold it." Guy said as he held his arm in front of Dumbcha to stop him from doing anything stupid as he looked at Itachi and asked "Why are Akatsuki here?"
"It appears we would have no choice but to work together for now." Itachi said, ignoring Guy's question, and Jiraiya nodded.
"No, we don't." Yamcha said before turning to Jiraiya "Jiraiya-sama. Last time this happened we got Goku back to normal by cutting off his tail."
"Hmm. I see. That would explain why he didn't want us to cut it off before, even if he moved completely on instincts." Jiraiya said.
"We've also figured out the same thing." Itachi said before turning towards the large ape who was furiously trying to snatch the clay bird that was flying all around him out of the air as the one Kisame was standing on was keeping its distance.
Deidara just continued to bombard Goku with his clay as Sasori fired off a countless number of poisonous needles, but said needles didn't even pierce the thick skin. Sasori then pulled off his right hand, however, and a purple poisonous cloud was ejected and covered Goku, but his eyes widened when the giant ape breathed it in without problems as he nearly hit them with a punch.
"Nani? The poisonous gas doesn't have any effect on him?" Sasori said in surprise before Goku attempted another punch at them, and this time he hit the clay bird, causing it to blow up as Deidara and Sasori were sent flying.
"Ah! Deidara! Sasori!" Itachi yelled as he looked towards where they crashed into the ground.
"Hmph. Then I'll just have to do it myself!" Kisame said as the clay bird he was on moved according to his will and flew towards the giant ape.
"No, Kisame! Wait!" Itachi called, but it was too late as when Kisame approached the ape, he was sent flying away by a giant bitch-slap.
"It's no use!" Yamcha said before saying "When Goku looks at the full moon he truly turns into a monster. It's impossible to beat him with conventional methods!"
"What?" Jackie Chun said as he had heard what Yamcha said.
He then turned towards Goku as he said "Then that means there's only one way to solve this!" He then jumped out of the way to avoid Goku's foot before saying "Ho-kay! Here goes!" As he took off his jacket and threw it aside.
"Pu'ar! I'll hold his tail while you turn into a sword and cut it off! You got that?" Yamcha said as he looked at the small flying cat.
"Y-yes sir!" She said and Yamcha turned towards his brother.
"Dummy, I'm gonna need your help!" He said.
"And since when did I listen to your orders, Yum cha?" Dumbcha asked.
"Wait! It looks like the Chun dude is gonna try something!" Oolong said as he pointed at Jackie Chun who had buffed himself up to the point where he had giant muscles.
"Kamehameha! Maximum power!" He yelled as Goku looked down at him.
"STOP! That'll kill Goku! All you have to do is cut off his…!" Yamcha yelled, but Jackie Chun didn't hear him as he started to charge up for his attack.
"Ka… me… ha… me… HA!" He then fired the attack towards Goku.
"NO!" Yamcha yelled as the entire area was lighted up by the attack before there was only silence.
As the light died down, Naruto, Krillin, and Lee – all of which had closed their eyes – opened their eyes again as Jackie Chun spoke up.
"… I had no choice… this… was the only way…" He said.
"G-Goku…? Goku…? Wh-where is he? D-don't tell me… please don't tell me…" Krillin said as Goku was nowhere to be seen "Goku's DEAD!"
"W-will the twists never end in this most twisted martial arts match ever? Contestant Jackie Chun has blown away the monster ape formerly known as contestant Son Goku with his greatest ever Kamehameha blast!" The announcer said as the audience was starting to reassemble.
"H-he didn't have to kill him…" Yamcha said.
"Goku… Hey, Goku…?" Krillin said.
"I-it looks like the Strongest Under the Heavens Tournament finally has a winner… but at what cost?" The announcer said.
"You murderer!" Naruto yelled.
"Give us back Goku!" Krillin yelled.
"Oh, don't be so melodramatic… Take a closer look." Jackie Chun said as he pointed towards the sleeping, but naked form of Goku lying by the wall in front of the tournament building.
"Th-th-that…" Yamcha started.
"That tail!" Naruto yelled happily.
"I-it's Goku! It's Goku's butt!" Krillin yelled.
"Goku-kun's still alive!" Lee yelled.
"What I fired the Kamehameha at was not Goku, it was the moon." Jackie Chun said.
"The moon…?" The announcer questioned before looking up at the sky, however, he didn't see any difference as the moon was still there "I don't get it."
"Take a closer look." Jackie Chun said, and the announcer did as he was told.
"I still don't see anything." He said.
"Well, I suppose no Human would. Since what's required for Goku to transform into a giant rampaging ape is looking at the full moon, I blasted a hole straight through it so that it will never again be completely full – even if people can't see it. Right now it's probably about 99.99999999999999999% full which is still enough for Goku not to transform." Jackie Chun said before adding "Now start counting before Goku wakes up."
Oh, yeah. Right." The announcer said as he did as Jackie Chun said "1… 2…" Goku then woke up, however and rose to his feet as he started looking himself over.
"Huh? Why am I naked?" He asked before saying "Oh well…"
"Now look! Because you didn't start the count quick enough, he's up again! I would've won!" Jackie Chun said.
"Win or lose, I'm just glad he's alive." Yamcha said.
"That old fool scared me." Bulma said.
"That last move took a lot outta the old timer. Maybe now Goku can win" Krillin said as he was now standing on the wall that the audience was behind.
"You can do it Goku-kun! Show him the power of youth!" Lee yelled.
"That's it, Lee! Keep cheering like that!" Guy said as he gave a thumbs-up.
"Hmm? Hey, where did Itachi go?" Jiraiya asked as he looked around before looking towards Naruto to make sure that Akatsuki hadn't made a move on him, he also took notice of the red tail swinging back and forth from the blond's butt.
"Wheeze… pant… aargh! I spent a lot of energy on that last Kamehameha…" Jackie Chun grumbled.
"I gotta be on guard against that zip-zap thingy." Goku said before he heard giggling coming from the audience.
"This is so embarrassing." Tenten said as her face was completely red and she held it in her hands so as to not see while Neji was standing next to her with his arms folded over his chest and his eyes closed.
"Uhh… Time-out. Time-out. Excuse me, G-Goku… but could you put on some clothes? This just isn't done." The announcer said.
"You can have my uniform." Naruto said as he climbed over the wall and up on the stage before walking over to the tournament building to change.
When they were inside the building, Naruto took off his GI for Goku to put it on while he found his jumpsuit and put that one on.
"So you've got a tail now, too?" Goku asked as he finished putting on the GI.
"Yup. It suddenly grew out when you turned into that monster." Naruto said as he pulled on his t-shirt.
"What monster?" Goku asked as he tied his belt.
"Huh? You don't know?" Naruto asked as he put on the jacket before saying "Well, Jackie-san says you're never gonna do it again, anyway." They then exited the building as Naruto said "Good luck, Goku! You can do it!"
"Hey, how'd this place get all wrecked? I don't remember any typhoon." Goku said as he noticed all the rubble and debris as he walked back into the ring.
"Contestant Son Goku has emerged! Let the match begin again!" The announcer said as the crowd cheered.
"I'm hungry…" Goku said as he rubbed his stomach before taking his place on the ring "I thought I was hungry before, but now I'm so hungry I don't have any strength."
"Then, while your guard is down, try your final Kamehameha!" Jackie Chun – who had put his jacket back on again – said before he attempted to fire off the aforementioned attack, but he only managed a small green spark.
"What happened to Jackie Chun? He can't produce the Kamehameha!" The announcer said.
"Eeesh. I knew my energy was low, but…" Jackie Chun said.
"So, no more zip-zap thingy, eh?" Goku asked before saying "That means he can't fly anymore either. YOSH! I WIN!" He then started making the arm motions for the Kamehameha "Ka… me… ha…me…"
"Waah! M-matte!" Jackie Chun said.
"HA!" Goku fired off the wave, but Jackie jumped up into the air to avoid it, however, that's just what Goku had wanted him to do "NOW!" He then jumped into the air and lashed out with a kick.
"Again Son Goku takes flight!" The announcer said before Goku hit Jackie, sending him flying out of the ring.
"Ku-kuso!" Jackie Chun said as he was flailing with his arms and legs while Goku landed back down on the stage.
"WAHOO!" The pre-teen shouted as he was about to win.
"Nngh! I'm going out of bounds! I'm going to lose!" Jackie Chun said as he was falling towards the ground just outside the ring before seemingly touching down.
"He… he did it… Chun's out of bounds!" Krillin yelled.
"H-he won! Contestant Son Goku has won! He's the mightiest under the heavens!" The announcer said as the audience cheered.
"You did it, Goku-kun!" Lee yelled.
"Oh, yeah?" Everyone then turned to look at Jackie Chun as he said "Let's not celebrate too early, kiddies. Take a look at my feet." It seemed he had jabbed his left foot into the side of the ring while the right foot was in the air and he also had his arms stretched out to the sides "I… I haven't touched down quite yet."
"I-it's true… The match is still on!" The announcer said as the crowd cheered.
"Boy, you're stubborn…" Goku said as Jackie Chun climbed back onto the ring.
"I won't lose… to a child…" Jackie Chun said before getting back up on the ring as he rose to his feet and said "And I must say, your Kamehameha doesn't have the punch it used to, either. Looks like we're both running low on energy… Even in the most refined martial arts, it all comes down to one body hammering another and ultimately, the stronger one wins. It's as simple as that."
"Okay, then. Let's see who's stronger." Goku said.
'Of course, there's also that speed and agility of his. And he's so stinking short I can't get him in a Cobra Twist…' Jackie Chun thought before realizing something 'Short! That's it!'
"Has this marathon of a battle exceeded mortal limits – even for the strongest? Who will be standing at the end? The child or the old man?" The announcer said.
"Ready or not, here I come!" Jackie Chun said as he charged forward.
"I'm ready!" Goku said as he charged as well.
Jackie Chun then jumped into the air, and Goku mimicked the action.
"Both contestants have left the ground!" The announcer said.
Goku and Jackie Chun both lashed out with a kick towards each other before hitting each other in the cheeks and they both fell to the ground, knocked out.
"It's the rarest of the rare – a double knock-out! Both contestants are out cold! We shall begin the count!" The announcer said before beginning counting "1… 2… 3… 4… 5…"
"Come on Goku, you can do it! Get up!" Naruto yelled as Goku and Jackie Chun both attempted to get back to their feet.
"6… 7… 8…" The announcer continued counting.
"Come on, old timer, get up!" A random audience member yelled.
"9…" The announcer was almost done with the count.
"Goku! Get up!" Yamcha yelled.
"You've got to stand up!" Oolong yelled.
"10!" The announcer said, but neither of the two fighters had gotten back on their feet "Neither contestant is able to stand! It's a double knock-out! But there is no such thing as a tie in the Tenka'ichi Budokai! According to the ancient tradition, the victory will be given to the first contestant who can stand and proclaim "I did so win"! And he has to smile when he says it! Who will be the first to stand and smile?" Goku and Jackie Chun then both started pushing against the ground as hard as they could to get back up on their feet "Contestant Son Goku is making an effort! Jackie Chun struggles desperately to beat him! The victor is finally about to be determined! Watch for those smiles! Listen to those words!"
"Just one more push, Goku! You can do it!" Krillin yelled before Goku finally managed to get up on his feet as he was standing stiffly.
"Son Goku is up! Son Goku is on his feet!" The announcer said before looking to Jackie Chun who was still on one knee "But the struggling Jackie Chun is still unable to stand!"
Goku then showed off his Son grin as he said "I-I did… s-so… w…" He then collapsed back down again.
"He's fainted! He was on the final syllable, but he fainted!" The announcer said just before Jackie Chun got up on his feet "And Jackie Chun has gotten to his feet!"
"I… I… d… d-did… so… win!" Jackie Chun said with a goofy grin as he stood on one foot and held out his arms with his hands in victory signs and the crowd cheered.
"Victory! Victory to Jackie Chun!" The announcer said as the crowd continued to cheer.
'My legs are longer, dear boy. And so – in the end – my kick struck deeper than yours. And that is the long and short of it.' Jackie Chun thought as he looked down at Goku before continuing 'But you made me proud… No one has ever pushed the Invincible Old Master this far…'
"If anyone should ever doubt that the Tenka'ichi Budokai truly showcases the strongest martial artists under the heavens, let them look to this magnificent match!" The announcer said as the crowd was still cheering.
"Huh…? I… I lost…?" Goku asked as he woke up and rose his upper body of the ground by holding his hands on the arena floor.
"You made it very close." Jackie Chun said.
"I really lost…? Oh well." Goku said disappointed before looking up at Jackie Chun with a look of excitement "Hey, when I've trained more and gotten stronger… you wanna fight me again?"
"Uh… s-sure…" Jackie Chun said rather hesitantly.
"Please applaud the fighting spirit of the 12-year old phenomenon who lost by such a tiny margin!" The announcer said and everyone started clapping for Goku before the announcer took Jackie Chun's left arm and raised it into the air while saying "And let's give our winner one more hearty round of applause!" As one of the monks working there came with the wallet containing the prize money and the announcer took it before handing it to Jackie Chun "Oh, yes, and here's the prize money of 500.000 zeni."
"I'm glad you remembered." Jackie Chun said before taking the money and walking back to the tournament building where he ran into Naruto and Goku.
"It's finally over." The disguised Kame-Sennin said as he entered the building.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your patience and support. Please travel safely, and we'll see you at the next Tenka'ichi Budokai!" The announcer said.
"Hey, congratulations on your victory." Naruto said as he bowed.
"You're really good, old timer." Goku said.
"You two fought well, too." Jackie Chun said before walking away as he waved at them "Until next time."
"See ya! Dattebayo!" Naruto said.
"Fight me any time." Goku said.
"Sure hope Ero-Kame watched the whole tournament like he said he would." Naruto said as he looked at Goku.
"Let's go find him." Goku said before they walked out of the building, or staggered in Goku's case.
"You're really hungry, aren't you?" Naruto asked as he looked back at Goku before hearing his own stomach grumble and he laughed lightly.
Jackie Chun
Jackie Chun – or rather – Kame-Sennin was in the bushes as he pulled off his wig before putting on the clothes he had on when he arrived on the island with the others.
"What hardships I go through for my disciples… And what a perilous match it was. Those three are truly amazing." He said.
The others
"I wonder where he went?" Goku asked as he looked around.
"I haven't seen him in a long time." Bulma said.
"That's funny…" Yamcha said.
"Then he probably missed the fight… Shoot…" Krillin said.
"No. He has to be here somewhere! What teacher would ever miss such an amazing fight performed by their own student?" Lee said.
"That's the spirit, Lee." Guy said.
"But still, where could he be? Even Neji couldn't see him." Tenten said.
"Yoo-hoo!" They turned towards the voice to see Roshi coming towards them.
"Oh, there he is!" Naruto said.
"Where the hell have you been?" Bulma asked.
"Uh… I was watching from way far back… and just now I was in the bathroom." Muten-Roshi said.
"Then you did see all three of us fight?!" Krillin asked.
"Of course. You three fought magnificently. I'm proud." Muten-Roshi said.
"But Goku was so close. If he wasn't hungry, he'd have won." Krillin said.
"Nah… Even if I wasn't hungry, I think I still would've lost… that old guy was great." Goku said.
"That's right. As great as you may be, there will always be someone better. There are many more warriors more powerful still. The way of the warrior is not so easy that you can now be satisfied with today's performance. Your true training is only now beginning." Muten-Roshi said.
"Yup!" Goku said.
"Yes, sir!" Krillin said.
"Yosh 'ttebayo!" Naruto said as he pumped his fist.
'Sheesh. I wonder if I could've gotten that same result just by saying that in the first place.' Muten-Roshi thought before saying "Yosh! As a reward for your excellent performances I will treat you to a tummy-bursting dinner."
"FOOD?!" Goku exclaimed before saying as his mouth watered "Please, please, make it soon! I've never been this hungry before!"
"Would you all like to come too?" Muten-Roshi asked as he turned to the others.
"Yes." Yamcha and Pu'ar said in unison.
"Of course." Oolong said.
"But you better not ask me to show you my panties or anything in return…" Bulma said.
"Sorry, but my team's waiting for me. See ya." Dumbcha said before leaving.
"And we need to return to Konoha to give our reports on how the tournament went to the Hokage." Guy said.
"Very well, have a nice trip home." Muten-Roshi said.
"We will." Guy said as he, Lee, Neji, and Tenten left.
Veggie Manor
Soon after at a restaurant which – despite its name – was not a veggie restaurant as it also had meat, everyone were busy eating, or rather Naruto and Goku were busy stuffing their faces as everyone else watched, amazed at how much the two boys were able to gulp down.
"I'd forgotten how this guy can eat." Oolong said.
"But I'm surprised that Naruto-kun can keep up with him." Bulma said.
"Uhhh… I think we'll be needing more…" Muten-Roshi said as he looked at a waiter.
"I'd say so." The waiter said.
Later
"Phew… That was good!" Naruto and Goku said in unison as they were rubbing their stomachs.
"W-we could've fed 72 people on that…" Bulma said.
"No way… I make it 100 easy…" Yamcha said.
"Hey, can I have two more of these?" Goku asked as he looked at the waiter.
"Me too, please." Naruto said as he held his plate out and everyone else at the table fell onto the floor.
"And I thought Goku was through being a monster." Muten-Roshi said as he attempted to climb back up on his chair before thinking 'And Naruto's no better… When did he develop that appetite, anyway?'
"I-I'm very sorry, sirs, but we're out of that now. In fact – we're out of everything now." The waiter said.
"Oh well, I guess that's okay. Like they say "moderation in all things"." Goku said, causing everyone to fall down on the floor again.
After eating, Muten-Roshi paid for the food with every single zeni he had won at the tournament before they went to Yamcha's car as he started driving them, though Jiraiya had to sit on the roof.
"Are you guys gonna continue training when you get back?" Yamcha asked.
"Of course." Krillin said.
"No, no, no. I've already taught you just about all I can." Muten-Roshi said before adding "From now on, you must blaze your own trail. You need to discipline and train yourselves. I'm sure the three of you will be up to it."
"Huh… Then I guess I'll go look for grandpa's Dragon Ball."
"Dragon– what?" Naruto asked.
"You're planning to search for those again?" Bulma asked.
"Yup." Goku said.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Krillin asked.
"The only thing my grandpa left me. And a great way to get in more fights!" Goku said.
"Well, leave us out of it. This is all yours." Oolong said.
"And you, Krillin. What are you planning to do?" Muten-Roshi asked as he looked at his bald disciple.
"Well, I really decide right now, so… I was thinking I'd like to remain with you, Invincible Old Master… For just a little longer." Krillin said.
"Ah… How… flattering…" Muten-Roshi said before thinking 'Feh… So much for being alone with that Launch girl.' He then turned to Naruto "And you?"
"I was wondering if I could come with Goku." The blond said.
"Sure. If you can ride on Kinto'un, that is." Goku said with a smile.
"Kinto'un?" Naruto asked.
"It's his flying cloud." Krillin said, causing Naruto to tilt his head to the side questioningly.
"In return for dinner, why don't we transport you all the way home?" Yamcha offered.
"Ho. That would be very helpful." Muten-Roshi said and they were soon out of the car as Bulma looked for an airplane capsule in her bag.
"Hey, turtle guy, is my and Naruto's stuff in there?" Goku asked as he pointed at an suitcase.
"Huh? Oh. Yeah, it is. But why?" Muten-Roshi said before Goku took out his stuff and Naruto took his stuff afterwards.
"We don't need a ride then. We'll just set off on Kinto'un straight from here." Goku said.
"Nani? You're leaving already? On this whatchamacallit search?" Krillin asked.
"The sooner we start, the sooner we'll be done." Goku said.
"You're so impatient…" Muten-Roshi said.
"KINTO'UN!" Goku called and soon enough, a small yellow cloud zoomed in and stopped right in front of him "Heh heh… Good boy."
"Whoa, it really is a cloud!" Naruto exclaimed before Goku jumped up on it "And you can ride it too!"
"Good luck, Goku. Naruto." Muten-Roshi said as Naruto jumped up on the cloud as well and was surprised when he didn't fall through.
"Thanks." The two boys replied in unison before Naruto turned to Goku.
"Hey, what are the Dragon Ball, anyways?" He asked, causing everyone except Goku to fall down on the ground.
"You mean to tell me you offered to come along on the search when you don't even know what they are?" Jiraiya asked.
"Then do you know?" Naruto asked.
"Umm, well…" Jiraiya started, though he was drawing a blank.
"There are seven Dragon Balls in all and when you gather them all, the magic Dragon will appear and grant you one wish." Goku said.
"Really? Any wish?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah. Though all I want is the Four-Star Ball that was given to me by my grandpa." Goku said.
"Hey, this Dragon Ball search… is it tough?" Krillin asked as he looked at Oolong who nodded his head.
"Ohhh, yeah." He said.
"Hey, Goku, Naruto. Do you want me to come along too?" Krillin asked.
"But you can't ride Kinto'un." Goku said.
"Sh-shoot… Yeah…" Krillin said.
"You know how to use the Dragon Radar, right?" Bulma asked.
"Yee-up." Goku said before saying "Okay, everybody, see you all later!" The cloud then zoomed off into the distance.
"Good luck!" Bulma called after them as she waved.
"I wonder if they can find them by themselves…" Yamcha said.
"If anyone can, it's them." Muten-Roshi said.
What none of them noticed, however, was that what looked like a venus flytrap rose out of the ground a little ways away before opening up to reveal a man whose entire left side was completely white while the right side was completely black.
"So, the Dragon Balls, hmm?" The white half said before everything faded to black "How… interesting."

Info: Having grown up as an orphan, Naruto never knew the love of parents and was scorned by the villagers because he was the Jinchuriki of the Kyubi. When his closest friend, Uchiha Sasuke left the village for Orochimaru and power, he went on a training journey with Jiraiya who brought him to the Invincible Old Master, Kame-Sennin. There he also met Son Goku and Krillin and together they trained until several months later, they entered the Tenka'ichi Budokai where Naruto lost to Goku in the semi-finals.
Kurama no Kyubi: And that's it for that chapter. And if you're wondering why I didn't have Roshi destroy the moon, it's simply because no matter how powerful you are, there's no way to destroy the moon with a Kamehameha, even if you're strong enough to blow up a planet. The reason for this is because in order to blow up a planet, they need to destroy the planet's core, causing a chain-reaction which eventually destroys the planet, however, the moon doesn't have a core so a concentrated blast would only go straight through it, not blow it up. In order to destroy the moon, they would need to generate an attack so big that it would core a wider area than the moon itself. And by the way, now I will take a short break from this story to write one arc of my multi-crossover story, Naruto: Shinobi Hunters, but as soon as done with that I'll return here with the Red-Ribbon Army saga: Colonel Silver arc.
