A/N: Here's a new chapter. It's been a while guys! Hope you enjoy!
I opened my eyes slowly adjusting to the light shining down on my face. I pushed back my covers and sat up yawning. I'm still tired and I really don't want to get up.
Oh well, no use in trying to go back to sleep. Today was Saturday so Jane and Crystal are probably still sleeping. With that, I got up and headed to the bathroom. I turned on the shower fixing the temperature, while doing that my thoughts ended up thinking about Karen. I should probably hang out with her today. I needed to man up anyway.. uh woman up.. well that doesn't make sense but you get what I mean. What happen is in the past now, that dream will also not get the best of me. I'm better than this.
I walk into the shower and let the warm yet hot water roam over my body. Should I invite her over or maybe we could go out for pizza? I gulped thinking of the possibilities of Karen going crazy.
Dammit Lily! Get a hold of yourself!
Sighing I turned off the shower and walk to the sink. Turning on the faucet, I splashed cold water on my face. You. Can. Do. This.
Walking into my room I thought of what I should wear. I'll wear whatever is decent I guess. Pulling on some Capris and a green tank top. I threw my hair into a messy bun. Sliding on my sneakers, I walked downstairs and started on breakfast.
I really didn't feel like cooking, so I just sat a plate of bagels and orange juice on the table for the girls. Writing down a quick note for them that I'll be out, I walked to one of the closets in the living room and pulled out my Minecraft hoodie. It was a gift from dad.. no more sad thoughts Lily. I walked out of the house slowly. Who says I couldn't take my time?
Putting in my headphones, I tried to calm down my heartbeats before I have a heart attack. I scanned through my playlist and played Human by Christina Perri. It seemed to calm me slightly but before I knew it, I was in front of Slenderman's house.
I took deep breaths and was about to knock when the door opened.
I blinked at Slender when he was just standing there eating a sandwich. I raised my eyebrow and was about to speak before he beat me to it.
"You know you could had knocked or ring the doorbell anytime instead of just standing there for 30 minutes."
I gaped at him.
"30 minutes?! I just got here!"
He wiped his hands on a napkin that apparently was in his hand that I never noticed.
"I sensed you coming, but you stopped all of a sudden at the door. I started to get slightly worried after 20 minutes, but 30 minutes was just too long so I just opened the door."
Stalker.
"Not really, I didn't stand outside your house for 30 minutes."
I blushed before I glared at him. "You stood in my room in the dark! and that's not consider stalking?!"
He tilted his head.
"No."
I facepalmed and just pushed through him and sat on his couch.
"Where's Karen?"
"Ah so that's why you're here. Well she's in her room.. and well she kinda locked herself in."
"Haven't you tried to get her out?"
He snorted.
"Of course I did, that would make me a horrible father wouldn't it? I mean I could always teleport in there, but I respect her privacy."
I lowered my head in shamed. She's probably up there blaming herself for what happen. Here I was feeling sad for myself when she was suffering the most.
"You think I can go talk to her..?" I asked quietly.
Slender tilted his head again.
"Go ahead. By the way, stop brooding so much."
"Huh?"
"Stop brooding. It's going to be okay, it's always better to face your problems head on instead of running away. That creates more problems. Besides if you brood so much, you'll get wrinkles on that beautiful skin."
I blushed. "S-Shut up!"
He just chuckled and pushed me lightly towards the stairs. I walked up the stairs towards the end of the hall. I stood in front of her door and raised my hand to knock when it opened all of a sudden.
She was rubbing her eyes and seemed to be heading out but stopped dead in her tracks when she saw me.
"L-Lily..?"
I flinched slightly at the sound of her voice. It sounded so defeated, hoarse and.. dead.
"Yes, it's me Karen.."
"Why are you here?" She asked her voice still the same. I wanted to hug her and tell her everything was going to be fine.
"I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out."
She stared at me in disbelief, before looking back into her room for a moment. She then turned back to me and raised a brow.
"What's the catch?"
"Catch? There's no catch." I said.
"Why are you being so nice?! There has got to be a catch! I just tried to kill you! Even Jane and Crystal! You can't possibly forgiven me for something so.."
I cringed at her yelling.
"So you're saying you don't want to be forgiven?"
She stopped her ranting and looked at me wide eyed. "Of course I want to be forgiven! I just.. don't you hate me?" She started twirling her hair in a nervous gestured.
I sighed before I asked to come in. She was hesitant at first but she let me in. I sat on her bed and patted the spot next to me. She sat down cautiously and just looked at me from the corner of her eye.
"Look Karen," I suddenly spoke up after 5 minutes. I saw her stiffened but I paid it no mind. "It would be a lie if I said I wasn't scared. I had a nightmare about you, where you tried to harm the girls when we were on our way to the school. But I came to realized that back there wasn't you."
"But it was me.. I'm a monster." She said sniffling.
I smiled. "No you're not. If you were a monster would you care about how I think of you, or the girls?"
She nodded slightly.
"You just lost control. It's a part of your nature. Some people who don't even have your powers have the same problem. They let their anger get the best of them. They could either be violent, or use words.
"Words?"
"Yes words are more powerful than most people think." She seem to take this information in. "But just know I don't hate you, we all make mistakes in life and we just have to learn how to cope with them. That is a part of growing up right?" I grinned.
She smiled slightly before it turned into a wide grin.
"So I'm going to ask again. I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out. Are you free?"
She hmm'd for a few seconds. "Sure! Let's go out somewhere! You can wait downstairs if you like."
"Sure."
I walked out the room and headed downstairs and sat down on their couch for the second time that dad. Slender came out the dining room gliding. I raised a brow at him. "You heard the whole conversation didn't you?
"Yep."
"Hn."
"Do you really feel that way?"
I looked at him with a grin. "Of course I do, I don't give up on my friends."
"Oh?" He said slowly.
"Yep, there's no way I would had given up on Karen so easily."
He was silence for a moment, before he seemed to smile. "Thank you, for giving her another chance."
"Sure. Now it's pretty obvious she's probably going to take her time choosing her clothes, what do you guys got to eat?"
"There's Nutella in the kitchen." He said after a moment of silence.
"But I don't want Nutella..." I whined.
"Oh well, I offered guess you'll starve." He said with no regret in his voice and headed towards the kitchen. I gaped at him.
I can't believe him! Would he really make me starve?
He came back with a Nutella sandwich.
"Of course I would." He said eating the sandwich in my face. I groaned but before I knew it, Karen was downstairs ready to go.
I was last to leave but I turned around and flipped him off, making him drop his sandwich. I smirked before I walked out the door and followed Karen to whatever place she was taking us.
A/N: I loved that last part! XD that was just too hilarious. Let me know what you guys think and that's all for today. :D
