AN:AYYY Regular update Schedule?!

The ice cream date was-it was Daniel hadn't come back, it was like how things were before-it was nice. Regina, Robin and Roland looking more like a family with each passing moment. But Daniel.

How was this fair to him? That's just it, it wasn't. But being with Robin felt right, he was her soulmate after all. That had to stand for something.

She still had to meet with Daniel, she couldn't keep stringing them along, she had to make a decision and she was determined to make it by the end of the week. It was a Thursday so she had until Sunday. She could do this. Right? Wrong.

She was engaged to Daniel, and he just got here, only knowing one person in all of Storybrooke. Was there a chance that she would have to tell him she wasn't picking him? That would kill her but telling Robin that he wasn't he choice would kill her too. And what of Roland. She didn't want him to lose her as a mother figure.

There were so many factors she had only just started to take into consideration. Like where was Daniel going to live? If she picked Robin, he had nowhere to live, she would of course get him his own place but could she really do that?

Regina shakes her head, Emma had told her to kiss both of them and she kissed Robin. Oh and that kiss, it was deep, and passionate, it was like a meteorite could have landed two feet away from them and they wouldn't even know. It was perfect in every aspect.

Clearing her thoughts Regina walks into her bedroom only to see Daniel sitting on what was now considered his side of the bed, engrossed in a book. At the sound f the door closing he looks up, a smiling lighting up his face brightly, like she was he only light in his life.

She magicks into something more comfortable, plain sweats and a baggy shirt. A view very people saw of her, she was known as Madam Mayor her clothing had to match the part. But it was just Daniel, he didn't care what she looked like.

"Hey" He says bookmarking his page and tossing to the side of the bed before standing up, coming towards her, his hands reaching for her forearms, stroking up and down in a comforting way.

She smiles weakly, nobody looked forward to breaking someone's heart. "I'm fine, just tired"

He gives her a sympathetic smile before leaning in and kissing her on both of her cheeks, forehead and nose and lastly on her lips. The soft affection made Regina want to die, he was so gentle and sweet to her. Looking past all her flaws and truly loving her. All she wanted.

"Take a nap, okay love? I'll wake you up for dinner" He says.

Regina just nods before kissing his cheek, that was a safe zone, yawning she says "Only if you hold me at least until I fall asleep"

She missed the affection he showered her with, the innocent touches, something she hadn't had since Robin. It was nice, Regina secretly loved falling asleep in someone's arms. It made her feel safe and not so alone. She never had that since Daniel really, Robin and her hadn't really had the opportunity to so that besides the time she fell asleep in his tent.

"Always"

He kisses her temple and pulls her to the bed, Regina lets herself get comfortable before letting Daniel's strong arms encircle her. She turns in his arms to cup his cheek, kissing him softly at first, it pure and sweet, she pushes harder, searching for something deeper than comfort and home. It's warm and feels like home but that's about it.

Trying to hide her disappointment she nuzzles into him and places her head to hear his steady heartbeat which lulls her to a dreamless sleep.

Regina wakes up just shy three hours ago, around seven pm, rubbing her eyes she paddes downstairs to find Daniel finishing up in the kitchen.

"Oh sleeping beauty has awoken, I was just about to bring this upstairs to you"

He holds up a tray, there two bowls of tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and milk. Comfort food. She smiles, how could she not?

She leads him upstairs where they sit in her bed eating, all cuddled up watching some mindless romantic comedy. Daniel is laughing every so often bt Regina isn't paying attention. She realized something.

It was Robin.

Daniel was perfect but he was meant for the old Regina, the carefree girl but her, she was colder, darker and sarcastic. He deserved so much better, he was without a doubt the sweetest person she'd ever met. He deserved the world, something she couldn't give him.

How was she going to break his heart?

But before that she would tell Robin, stop his constant questioning of he was worth something to her.

It's late at night when she slips from Daniel's arms, telling him that Elsa was on the loose-which was a lie, she was but that wasn't why she was getting up, she had to see Robin-she had been up all night, pretending to sleep.

But inside her head was how she was going to break it to Daniel. He didn't deserve to get his heart broken.

Robin was tired, tired of pretending to be okay when he wasn't, tired of fighting for Regina and he was just tired in general.

Regina poofs herself into Robin's camp, her hands shaking and sweating a little. Standing in front of his tent she says "Robin?"

There's a bit of shuffling before Robin comes out, bags under his eyes and looking worn out.

She forgets about the speech she had prepared and does the only thing that makes sense to her. She kisses him, it was desperate and she's pulling away before she he even has a chance to kiss her back.

Pulling away she meets his eyes and whispers "It's you Robin. I choose you"

In that moment Robin swore he never loved her more. She chose him.

They kiss again, it's slower this time, taking all the time in the world, they pull away and Robin asks "Daniel?"

Regina winces" Will away have a special place in my heart, he was my first love, taught me what love is and I will always love him, just like how you will always love Marian...I'll have to find him a place I guess, I still need to tell him but I needed to see you"

And that's when a loud scream could be heard, not to far away, maybe a four minutes jog away but it didn't matter, they both ran towards it. The moment over.

Following the noise they ran, but when they reached the clearing Regina swore her heart broke.

There was the ice queen in all her glory, Elsa holding her hand up in defense, it happens before- she can do anything about it, an icy blast hit's Daniel right in the heart.

He falls to the ground, and Regina looks at the ice queen. "What did you do?"

"I'm sorry..I'm not in control..I need to..I have to go" And with that the girl runs off leaving Regina to run to her former lover, holding him close. Tears streaming down her face and she makes no effort to stop them.

"I came looking for you..I wanted to protect you" be breathes but is hushed by Regina's finger on his lips. "You'll be okay, your not leaving me, not a third time. I refuse to let you"

AN:AHHHH some major events just took place! So Regina picked Robin but Daniel was hit in the heart with Elsa's magic and the only way to thaw a frozen heart is with an act of true love. See where I'm going with this? So excited for the next few upcoming chapters of how this will affect Regina and everyone involved. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and please, please, please leave a review. I read all of them and they warm my little heart up.
