Alright, this was just getting ridiculous.

"Ludwig, you stupid potato wedge, open this goddamned door! This is my last warning!" Julchen shouted over her younger brother's hotel room door, pounding hard on the useless piece of wood.

Damn it, this was not the reaction she expected. She expected the other to be surprised and act all awkwardly around her but not to completely deny her existence! That was just uncalled for.

"Go away! I will not leave this room until you return my brother!" Ludwig shouted back, voice muffled due to the damned blockage.

Julchen gritted her teeth. "I am your brother, you uncultured little shit! My name and gender may have changed but that doesn't mean I did. I'm still the same awesome person that you know."

She was met with only silence.

This certainly wasn't the time for the other to be stubborn. She had been standing in this same spot since the other had woken up in her room and barreled into his own after he saw her. That had been hours ago and daylight had already left the sky.

Julchen knocked again, this time a tad softer than the previous ones. She was already tired. "Lud? Luddy? Please open the door. I'm hungry, let's go out and eat now!"

Fuck, she hadn't planned on sounding that whiny.

Like earlier, this was met with silence again. She sighed, staring at the door for a second before huffing in anger and turning on her heels to trek back to the lobby.

Fine, if her dumb brother won't face her then he could rot on his room. Really, what was his problem? Why won't he even face her?

Was she really that unbearable?

"Gilbert!" She stopped on her tracks, staring in horror at Elizaveta who was running towards her, Roderich behind her. She hurriedly turned around and ran away from them.

No way. No fucking way in hell was she going to be with the two of them alone.

"Wait!" Elizaveta cried. "Get back here you stupid Prussian!" She ignored her and ran to the lobby. Much to her luck, she found her scapegoat just entering the door.

"Matthew!" She shouted, catching the attention of the after mention country. She grabbed his arm, tugging him out towards the hotel doors. "Are you hungry because I'm starving. Let's go out to eat!"

"A-ah wait!" The Canadian protested but Julchen ignored it and hailed a taxi, pushing the tall nation inside it.

"Hurry up! They're catching up with us." She said, pushing Matthew harder inside. Damn it, why does he have to resist!

"Wh-O!" was the last thing the Canadian said before he got shoved into the seat and Julchen slipped next to him, closing the taxi door.

"Hurry up and move!" She shouted at the driver. The last thing she saw before the car drove away were the shocked faces of Elizaveta and Roderich as they caught her eye.

"You don't have to pay," Julchen insisted, staring in frustration at the Canadian who was already handing money to the cashier.

Matthew raised an eyebrow at her. "That's a surprise. And here I thought you would be glad you don't have to pay."

She frowned. "The way you say it makes me look like a money hoarding bastard who always makes other people pay for me."

"But isn't that who you are? Without the money hoarding part."

"Mattie!" She cried, staring in disbelief at her companion. "Why so mean?"

The Canadian gave her a deadpanned stare. "You kidnapped me." He took their tray and went to the nearest available table.

This made her pause. Hmm, it made sense.

"Point taken." She replied, taking a seat across the tall man. Good thing this McDonalds wasn't crowded or else they would be forced to look for other branches.

Hell, there was no way she was eating any English food. Might as well eat this American crap that was just a tad bit bearable.

Julchen inwardly sighed. They should have at least taken the time to look for an authentic German restaurant. Who fucking cares if it's expensive? At least it's authentic and not an imitation made by an English - or whatever other nationality - chef.

"Why where you running away from Austria and Hungary? What did you do this time?" Matthew asked, spreading the fries on a pile of tissues so they could share it. That was the only thing he got, having just ate when Julchen dragged him.

She paused from biting unto her chicken and frowned. "What do you mean by that? I didn't do anything this time."

"Really?" The Canadian asked again, an eyebrow raised.

Julchen swallowed the chicken inside her mouth and sighed. "Really. I just came from Ludwig's room when the witch called me. I didn't want to talk to them so I ran away, then I saw you and well you know the rest."

"Speaking of Ludwig," her companion said, a ketchup covered fry in hand. "How did he take it? Didn't he faint? Al was laughing so much about it."

Her sigh this time was heavier than the previous as she swiped Matt's fry. "Barricaded himself inside his room. Stupid shit won't even talk to me. He's so heavy in denial I'm having second thoughts if he really is my brother." She paused then frowned. "Ah wait. Damn, forget about what I just said - he really is Ludwig. I almost forgot how that creature loves to be in denial like, you know, his feelings for Feli, the whole world war and some other things."

Matthew gave her sympathetic gaze. "Give him some time, this must be hard for him to take in - for his brother to suddenly turn into a female."

She regarded him with suspicion. "How about you? How come you're here regarding me so calmly like nothing happened?"

He shrugged. "I'm already used to Arthur's magical blunders. He was the one who raised me." He paused. "Or is that a she now...?"

"She," she replied over a mouthful of food. Swallowing, she pointed at the tall man. "And it's not Arthur. She's goes by Alice now."

"Ah," Matthew nodded, nibbling on a fry. She also went back to eating and they ate there in silence.

They were already out of the store and flagging a taxi when Matthew remembered something he had been meaning to ask.

"You know, I noticed this earlier but... where's Gilbird?"

Julchen swore her whole world crashed to the ground.
