Rachel was just starting to get over her heartbreaking departure from Jason and Lyrain when they showed up. Five kids that just fell out of the sky like rain. What happens when Sophie, Dex, Keefe, Biana, Fitz, Rachel (And possibly Jason, Aram, and Corrine meet)? How will it change there lives and how will the ties turn? In this story two unusual world collide.

10. Chapter 10

Sophie's POV

We walked until it was so dark we couldn't see anything anymore. Then Jason built a campfire and passed out some dried meat. Jason, Aram and Rachel ate the meat but Fitz, Keefe, Dex, Biana and I just ate some berries we collected.

While I was eating some bread Rachel came over. "Hi," she said. I looked at her, "Hey, what's up." She frowned, "What's the deal with you and Dex."

"Deal? What? There's no deal with me and Dex what deal?" I said.

Rachel smirked, "I meant why you and the others look at Dex like you're mad at him." I blushed, "Oh…wait I looked at him like I'm mad?"

She nodded, "Yeah, and so does Fitz, Keefe, and sometimes Biana. What with that? You wonder why Dex broke himself, but you look at him like you can barely stand his existence." I bit my lip, "I didn't realize I was still mad at him." I said to myself.

Rachel turned her had to make sure no one was listening, "What happened?"

"A couple weeks ago Dex decided to make a gadget that would make an elf able to be a telepath. Well, then no one knew he was a teconopath, so when the Council found out about his device they told him to make one that would block the someone's gifts. He did. What he didn't know was that his device – that was supposed to be used on vicious criminals – would be used on me as a punishment. When they put it on me, I had a reaction and lost consciousness. I woke up and found out the device had caused it. And now he thinks it's his entire fault."

Rachel glowered, "But so do you."

"I told him to forgive himself, but how can he do that if I haven't even forgiven him?"

Jason came over, "Sophie, sorry to interrupt, but you better get some rest. We have a long day tomorrow. And don't worry about getting back to your world in the right time. The oracle said that in about three weeks the times will be back to normal again."

I nodded and went to sleep.

Okay so I know this is a short chapter, but I just wanted to cover the fact that they still remember the fact that Dex hurt Sophie. I thought that they seemed to forgive and forget too easily on the recent chapters so you know.
