"Who is she?" Jonathan asked, looking at the young girl who Clark had just finished laying on the couch. She was young, obviously no older than Clark with blonde hair.
"I don't know, but whoever she is, she knows about Krypton. She said she was looking for Kal-El, but I have absolutely no idea how she would know that name considering that this is the first time I've seen her in my life."
"You and Emma haven't run across this girl before have you?" Jonathan asked Jean and both Jean and Emma shook their heads in response.
"I've never met her but I feel as if I know her somehow." Clark said, looking down at the girl who had just began to open her eyes. Her eyes were as blue as the sea and as she looked at Clark, Jean and Emma she seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, as if the weight of the world had just been lifted from her shoulders.
"Are you all right?" Martha asked as the girl sat up, all of them gasping in shock as the girls wounds seemed to vanish, leaving no trace that she had ever been wounded in the first place.
"I'm fine Mrs. Kent." The girl replied giving the older woman a smile, which she returned.
"Not to be rude but who are you and how do you know about my son?" Jonathan asked and the girl laughed softly, seemingly amused by his reaction before answering.
"My name's Alicia and as for how I know about Kryp-" The girl's voice was suddenly cut off as the door to the house was flung off its hinges.
"No, he can't be here, not now." The young girl muttered, worry apparent in her voice as she watched a man stride through the door. The man had dark skin, long blak hair and a tattoo of a curved Z above his left eye. He had two guns strapped to his hips and a strange sort of gauntlent strapped to his left arm.
"Who are you and what the hell do you want?" Clark asked as he moved to stand protectively in front of Alicia and his girlfriend's.
"I'm Bishop and as for why I'm here, well I thought that would be obvious you sadist. I'm here to kill you!"
"Why would you want to kill my son?" Jonathan asked, attempting to get the man talking; he didn't want Clark to start a fight that he wasn't sure he could win as they had absolutely no idea what Bishop was capable of.
"Why would I want to kill your son? In my future your son is the reason that humans and mutants are rounded up and placed in death arenas for people's amusement. Mutants are killed for entertainment and those that refuse are round up by his own personal Kryptonian army. He is a monster that rules my future with an iron fist, and I will prevent that, no matter what it takes." Unseen by the other's in the room, the assassin had a knife hidden in his right hand. He threw it towards Clark, the green kryptonite tip signaling the death of the young hero; however, the instant before it would have struck Alicia appeared in front of Clark, the knife impacting on her chest causing her to fall to the floor. Clark ran at Bishop and threw him into the wall before racing back over to Alicia.
"What the hell were you thinking?"
I was thinking I wasn't going to let my father die.
