Hello Evsha fans, I hope you enjoyed the cuddle me/kiss me part of the story beeeecaaaauuussseee... this is where it all goes to hell. -_- Sorry. But you can't have the good life forever, eventually fate is going to throw you some lemons. And you just gotta suck it up and deal with it- or throw them back at fate. Whichever one works for you.

And Then it Went to Hell

Eve's POV

I woke up feeling refreshed and eager to start the day.

"G'morning Natty." I yawned as I stretched my arms and curled my toes. Usually I received a groan of displeasure from the sleeping beauty for waking her up, only this time she was silent.

"Natasha?" Again there was no answer, I threw the sheets out of the way and saw that she was no longer in bed. I jumped out of bed, hurriedly stepped into my boxers and ran out of the master bedroom. I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw her in the kitchen pouring two cups of coffee. I hugged her from behind and rested my chin on her shoulder.

"Good morning." I spoke softly.

"Good morning to you too." Natasha smiled as she turned around to give me a peck on the lips. I smiled and gave her another kiss.

"We get it. The two of you had sex, can we move on? I'm getting hungry." Ebony interrupted us, walking into the kitchen from her bedroom across from the master's. I glared at her for interrupting our moment, but didn't press it. I make it a habit not to anger wizard saints, even if she is one of the weakest.

"Sure thing Ebb, what do you have in mind?" Natasha asked as she untangled herself from me and opened up the fridge, giving me a good look at her ass. Damn, she must be upset about me tying her up last night. In my defense, I had always wanted to tie my partner up. It really had nothing to do with the fact that she was still recovering from over exertion. Plus I think her pride was shot when Jura was defeated. I think she thinks that he let her win. There is a major difference in their powers, and the added bonus that she wouldn't even be this strong if she hadn't mated with me, really gets to her. Maybe my tying her up added the fuel to that fire. Wait? Why am I thinking about this? She's leaning into the fridge, it's not like she's ignoring me, hell, she kissed me good morning.

"Evey? You okay?" Natasha asked. Startled, I spilled some hot coffee on myself.

"Don't sneak up on me like that!" I half shouted.

"Sneak up on you? I asked you what you wanted to eat five times already. You're the one that toned me out." Natasha sweatdropped.

"Oh, sorry. I was just thinking." I muttered.

"It's alright, no big deal at all." Natasha grabbed a piece of paper towel and began to wipe the coffee off my chest.

"So? Food?" Natasha asked.

"It's alright, I have to swing by my apartment later, so I'll eat whatever's there." I took another sip of coffee.

"Suit yourself." Natasha shrugged her shoulders as she threw the now brown stained paper towel in the trash. Setting my cup on the counter, I rubbed her arms from behind, getting her attention.

"Have you given any thought of moving in together?" I asked her as she turned to face me.

"Yeah, I have. In fact, I've been looking at rentable apartments. I was thinking we could go to a couple of open houses today." Natasha showed me a couple of newspaper and magazine clippings of several nice appartments. All of them were three bed, three bath apartments.

"Why three bedrooms?" I asked.

"Well, incase we decide to have a family one day or if Natsu and Lucy want to come over and stay for the night. I read somewhere that it's always nice to have a spare bedroom and bathroom." Natasha informed me with a wave of her finger. I nodded at the sense of it all as I browsed the renting prices. They were all between 150 to 200 thousand jewel. That would be duable especially since Natasha and Ebony brought in S-class wages.

"Remind me, have we given any thought to buying a house or apartment?" I moved the clippings with my hand as I looked through each one again, more carefully this time, trying to eliminate any that might not be as promising.

"Not really. I was thinking we should put any extra money we make into a savings account for the future. You never know what might happen and it would be nice to have some spare cash in the bank." Natasha spoke as she sizzled some eggs on the stove.

"But all the same, we would be saving money by not having to pay rent." I argued.

"But we would be spending that money and more on utilities." She argued back. She did make a good point there.

"Alright, so where are we going first?"

"I was thinking of looking at the one on Main Street. That one's 155 and is move in ready for the most part." Natasha set a plate and fork down in front of Ebony and began to eat hers while standing.

"Sounds like a good idea. I've already told my landlord that I might be moving in the near future, so he already knows. All that needs to be done is my showering, and give him my notice." I picked up the coffee cup again and took a sip.

"I don't mean to interrupt, but do I have a say in this?" Ebony asked as she finished her plate. She used her Aera magic to fly over to the sink so she could get rid of her dish. Natasha and I looked at each other. To be honest we hadn't really given her much thought other than the fact that she would help pay the rent.

"Of course you get a say. Let's all get ready and meet up at Main Street to check out the apartment together." Natasha said, making an epic save on our part.

"If we're going, then I better get dressed at head out to my apartment." I said as I put the coffee cup in the sink. Heading back to the master bedroom, I put my pants back on before reaching in my drawer to grab a spare shirt. After I discovered that Natasha had a habit of ripping my shirt whenever we had sex, I made sure to keep several spares at her place. Putting on a new t-shirt, I stood in the mirror and gave my hair a ruffle, to make it look like it was messy on purpose. I walked out of the bedroom and saw Natasha waiting for me at the door.

"See you in a bit." I said as I gave her a kiss before heading out the door to my apartment.

Natasha's POV

I closed the door behind Eve as soon as he left. I let out a sigh of contentment at the thought of finally moving in with my mate. This meant that we could finally go public, and maybe have a family one day. To be honest, I envy my brother for already having children, even though he is older than me (biologically), I still wish that I would be the first one to announce that I would be starting a family. I can't help but picture Eve and I standing together and watching a couple of kids play.

"Are you going to keep starring at the door like that? It's kind of creepy." Ebony stated.

"Oh go lick yourself, you stupid cat." I snapped at her.

"Okay, okay, geez. No need to be so temperamental." Ebony gave her shoulders a shrug as she went into her room to get ready. I felt guilty for snapping at her, and knew that I should apologize, but for now, I had to get ready. I hurried into the master bathroom to take a shower. I turned on the hot water and began to strip of the tank top and underwear that I had put on this morning. Forgetting to get towels and something to change into, I left my bathroom to get them.

I leaned over the drawers to grab what I needed when I felt a rough hand grab my ass. I jumped in the air and turned my body so that my back was pressed against the drawers, slamming them shut.

"Oh come on, Babe, don't be like that." I heard a whisper. I whipped my head from side to side to try to see where, in the name of all hell, the voice was. All while clutching my bosom, in case who ever was here tried to grab them next.

"You know you've always wanted me. That's why you keep running. You're afraid to face the truth." I felt a pair of hands pin me against the drawers. A figure appeared out of no where, morphing into a tall young man with scary black hair and heartless blue eyes, "Looks like I caught you Natasha." the man cackled.

"Tokala. What are you doing here?" I snarled at him, completely unafraid of the monster before me.

"Is it a crime to try and kiss my dearly beloved mate?" Tokala leaned in for kiss but I turned my head. Tokala and I used to date, hell, I was even part of his dark guild. But that was only because I thought he was mate-my destined partner. After I learned that he wasn't, my eyes opened to the horrid things that I had helped him achieved. I also learned that he didn't really love me. He wanted the power boost that came with becoming a mated pair. So I stole about 100,000 J from the Dark Fang treasury and had run away before he could force me to mate with him. Yes, you can force a dragon slayer to mate with you- I think normal people call it rape. Anyway, if you force a dragon or dragon slayer to mate with you, you gain a major power boost, even if you don't force the mating, you still get a power boost.

"You're not my mate, Toka." I called him by the pet name that I had for him a long time ago. Aparently that got him mad because he slapped me across my face.

"Idiot girl. You still haven't learned, have you? You're my property. Even if I have to force you, you will become my mate." I turned my eyes to see his ablaze with anger. I gave out a small shiver at what he might do to me.

"Now, we can either do this the easy way or the hard way. Which will it be?" Tokala began to knead my right breast gently and I had to swallow back a moan that threatened to overtake me.

"The hard way, I guess." I glared at him, "Because I already have a mate." Aparently that caught Tokala off guard because his eyes widened and his grip on me loosened. I used the new freedom to kick him in the balls and wrap a towel around myself. I knew I couldn't stay in the same room as this pervert/future rapist so I made a dash for the exit, hopping I could get Ebony to help me defeat him. I was halfway out the door when I felt something choking my windpipe. A force lifted me in the air as I clawed desperately at whatever was holding me captive.

"You really are a wild card, Natasha. And here I thought you would have learned to submit to me when I used the Demon to almost kill your friend. You should have known, because now, not only do I have to take you by force, something I hate doing, I also have to kill your friends. You may have trained them to be stronger, but there is no way that they'll be able to survive the onslaught that I have set for them. Just remember Natasha," Tokala's body materialized again and he whispered in my ear as he continued to choke me, "you brought all of this on yourself." That's when it all went dark.

I woke up a while later and started coughing. A natural reflex to being choked out, or so I heard. I stood up and tried to get a good look at my surroundings. But it was dark and the flooring was cold. What am I doing here? Right, Tokala kidnapped me. Suddenly fear gripped at my heart. He said he was going to kill everyone I cared about. Oh, God! Eve! I hope he'll be alright.

The door opened with a bang and I flattened my back against the stone wall. It was then that I noticed it was still only in the towel that I had put on earlier. A darkened figure stood in the doorway, and I had to admit, seeing that figure sent chills up and down my spine.

"Now, now dear Natasha. There's no need to be scared of your mate. I-" the figure moved from where he stood in the door to standing right in front of me, "don't bite. Unless it's in the bedroom." Tokala wrapped his strong arms around my waist and back, bringing me close to him so he could nibble on my neck. I struggled against his grip, but he was too strong. Turning my head, I swung it back around so that my cheek connected with his. The impact snapped his face off my neck.

"Heh." Tokala touched his cheek gingerly with his hand. He looked generally shock... and a little hurt? *Smack* I didn't even see it coming, but Tokala cracked his back hand over my cheek. My face snapped to the side by the brute force of his slap.

"You just never learn do you girl? Well, there will be plenty of time to discipline you after I kill your current mate." With that, Tokala let go of me and stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

"Oh God! Eve please be careful." I thought aloud as I sank to the ground. Tears filled my eyes and I sobbed at the future with my mate going up in smokes.

Eve's POV

I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for Natasha and Ebony to show up. Where were they? Natasha usually isn't THIS late. I looked down at my cell phone and watched the digital clock until it changed from 4:29 to 4:30. We had agreed to meet up at 3:00 and now one hpur later, here I was and the open house was about to end. Getting frustrated, I dialed Natasha's house number. It didn't take long for someone to answer it. After I heard the sound of someone answering, I immediately started talking.

"Natasha where are you? I've been waiting for nearly thirty minutes for you to show up. If you still want to look at the apartment then you better come over quickly because the open house is about to close."

"SHE'S NOT HERE EVE!"

"Ebony? Is that you?" I started to become worried, "Where's Natasha?"

"I said she's not here, or don't you listen?" Ebony snapped at me.

"I heard you. How can I not with you shouting in my ear. I wanted to know where she is if she's not with you." I snapped back.

"How should I know. Do I look psychic to you?"

"Well I don't know, seeing as I can't see you right now." Ebony growled over the phone at my retort.

"Dude, why don't you argue with your girlfriend at home instead of in front of my open house." The apparent owner of the apartment building called to me.

"I'm arguing with my girlfriend's cat over my girlfriend. And I can argue with her any place I please." I shouted at the owner as he gave me a weird look. I arched my eyebrows like, 'ya I just went there'. He shook his head and closed the door behind him.

"Good to see that you finally grew a pair." Ebony snickered over the phone.

"What was that?" I screamed.

"You heard me." She screamed back.

"Just you wait cat. When I get back I'm gonna kill you." I threatened over the phone.

"Oh, I'm looking forward to it." She sneared. Just as I was about to reply, the line went dead. Damn cat, I know that she doesn't like me, but does she have to go out of her way to make me angry? Deep breaths Eve, remember that she's probably just worried about Natty. I gave a sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose, before dialing the same number.

"Hello?" Ebony's voice came on the other line and she did not sound thrilled.

"Look Ebony, before you hang up, I'm sorry for what I said. I know that you're worried about Natasha and I shouldn't have yelled. Now, when did she leave?" I tried to keep my voice calm, after all, my soulmate is currently missing-in-action.

"Right after you left. I thought that she just decided to skip the shower." I could hear Ebony trying to keep her voice level.

"And she's been in this town too long to simply get lost. Maybe she stopped at the guild and Jenny's been keeping her." I guessed openly.

"Maybe. I'll head there now to check." Ebony said.

Okay, I'll look on fifth. There's supposed to be a special sort of market thing going on today. I'll check to see if she stopped to look around. By the way," I broke off in thought for a second, "did Natasha bring her cell phone with her?"

"Hold on, let me check." Ebony said and I heard the crackling sound of her breathing on the microphone. After a minute or two, I heard her voice on the line, "No, she didn't."

"Maybe that's why she didn't call or text me that she would be late. She simply forgot her cell and left it home." I said, trying to sound convincing. I could tell something was up, call it a gut feeling, but I knew that the only time that Natasha leaves her cell phone behind is if she's with my and I have mine, or if she doesn't see a point because she has a set destination in mind. Since, I wasn't with her and she didn't come to the open house right away, something must have gone not according to plan. Taking the first couple of steps towards the market. Each never step became quicker than the last.

"Ebony, hurry up and get to the guild. If she's not there tell Jenny she's MIA and get a search party together. I maybe over reacting here, but my gut tells me that she's not on some leisurely stroll through the city looking at all the pretty flowers."

"No, I get it. I'll head over and check right now. I'll call if anything comes up." Ebony spoke and then I heard the line go dead. By that time I had already crossed third and was making my way to fifth street. Suddenly, I heard a giant explosion. I looked up to see smoke spilling out around the bizarre tents. Picking up speed, I did my best to sprint around the screaming people, trying to make my way to the scene of the crime. The guild wizard side of me kicked in, and for a second, I forgot about my quest to find my girlfriend.

"Excuse me. Please move. I'm a guild wizard from Blue Pegasus, let me pass." I spoke out to the frightened people pushing up against each other. I sighed at the whole aspect of it. Trust the animal nature in us to decide that if we all huddle together, then at least most of us will survive. It's stupid if you ask me. If you all huddle together then your hunter is more likely to find you. Never the less, people made as much room as they possibly could (which I could measure with my middle finger). It took me an extra two minutes just to get through the huddle masses. But after forever, I was finally able to stand in front of the two bizarre tents that had just gone up in smoke. I crouched down and began to examine the tattered tents, my eyes narrowed at the damage done. It looked like the damage that you would find from a mage attack. This isn't good. The last thing that we need is a rogue mage running about in the city. I pulled out my cell from my pocket and began to dial the guild's number. Hopefully I could get in touch with master and tell him about the circumstances and then ask him if he's seen Nat.

I waited for a few seconds as the line began to ring. After the fourth ring, I knew something was up, and as soon as the line went into message mode, I ended the call and dialed Hibiki's number. Same thing happened. A growing concern began at the pit of my stomach and began to work its way up and into my heart. First Nat's disappearance and then no one answering the phone. If Blue Pegasus were like Fairy Tail, always passed out drunk, I wouldn't worry. But this is irregular. Should I go to the guild and make sure everything is okay? Or wait here in case the rogue came back. Settling on the idea that if no one answered the next time I called, I would head on over to the guild. I dialed the number of the guild on last time and waited for them to pick up. Three rings later, Jenny picked up the phone and she sounded frantic.

"Eve where are? Are you okay?" I heard Jenny's voice almost scream into the speaker.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just wanted to know-"

"It doesn't matter!" Jenny interrupted me, "Just stay away from the guild, Eve. They're after you. They said they'd kill you so that their master can have her."

"Her?!" I asked into the speaker. I was beginning to understand why Natasha didn't show up now.

"Look Eve. I gotta go, but whatever you do, stay away from the guild. Stay away from Clovertown."

"Wait I-" But the line went dead. I stared off into space for a moment, just thinking. Why did Jenny seemed so rushed. Was something going on as I sat here?

I immediately stood up and began to run in the direction of the guild, my loyalties outweighing what Jenny had just told me earlier. After what seemed like forever, I finally stood panting in front of the guild hall. I stared at it for a long time. Memorizing with my mind every broken window, that symbolized the raid on the guild, and every thud or scream that came from within the building. The loyalty inside of my mind screamed for me to go in and save my friends, but I didn't began to well up in my eyes as I realized there was nothing I could do for them. I may be stronger than I was, but there was no way I could tackle people from a dark guild all by myself. Especially a top dark guild.

I turned my head away from the guild, my fists tightened in anger, my fingernails digging into my palms, as I heard a scream I recognized as Jenny's. I waited for a minute as I heard the scream die out before I ran. I ran away from the guild, away from Clover Town, away from my friends who needed my help.

"I'm sorry." I thought in my head as more tears began to spill from my eyes, "But I can't beat them on my own. I can't save you. At least not yet." I stopped at the top of the slope and looked at my guild one last time. "But I'll come back." I murmured out loud, "And I won't be alone. So wait for me. My friends, Natasha, I promise I will save you." Then I turned my back on the guild I loved so dearly and plunged into the woods, heading in the one direction that I knew was the only salvation of me and my guild. I was headed for the place that is feared by many dark guilds. I was headed for Fairy Tail.
