I am so sorry guys! here you go-
Maddox watched as Death the Kid and the weapon walked away from the stage. He felt his fingers dig into the palm of his hand. Kid was a lot stronger than he imagined and for a second he doubted he could win this competition. He had to find a weakness, a flaw that no one could mend. There had to be something.
"That was quite a battle, wouldn't you say?" Maddox turned his face to see an older man next to him. He watched as the man dressed in a white lab coat pushed up his glasses. Maddox could see stitches running up and down parts of his body and wondered who would perform such madness on a person.
"It was what I expected." Maddox looked back at the field and watched as the clean-up crew began to wash away all the remains of battle. He cataloged all the movements Kid used in the battle to use them against him if needed.
"You think you can beat him?" The strange man said pulling out a cigarette and lighting it.
"I wouldn't enter into this competition if I knew I couldn't. The best way to know your enemy is to study him carefully and find a weakness."
"I know the boy's weakness." Maddox looked at the man and his anxiety began to rise in his gut.
"Who are you?" Maddox asked.
"Stein is what they call me." Stein took a drag of his smoke and glanced at Maddox. "Are you interested in knowing?"
"Yes, but I know information comes with a price. So what is yours?" Stein chuckled knowing this was all too easy to obtain what he wanted that he almost felt sorry for taking advantage of Maddox.
"It's really simple actually." Stein said with a grin on his face.
Kid sat on the couch in Soul's living room. "You want some water?" Soul asked heading to the kitchen.
"Yes, I'd like that." A few seconds later Soul came back with two glasses full of water and set one in Kid's hands and then sat down beside him. Soul took a sip of water and chewed on the inside of his cheek.
"Will you explain the competition to me?" Soul asked nervously. Kid took a drink of water and then set his glass on the table next to him.
"What do you want to know?"
"Why do we have the competition?" Soul said gripping his cup.
"The world is a big place and not just one Shinigami can look after the whole world at once. So we have the world divided into cities. Death City is one of the more important cities because it harbors the school that trains all the weapons and meister's. We have the competition to determine who will be the best at protecting a city." Kid paused and took a sip of his water. "A lot of Shinigami have more than one child, sort of as a way to spread their power hold. My father refused to go about it that way. He tells me in order to have true power you shouldn't have to share it with someone." Kid took another drink of water.
"So what happens if say you don't make it to the last round?" Soul didn't want to think about Kid losing his life over something silly like power but his curiosity was getting the better of him.
"The person who beat me would then have to go through the same process, the same three rounds until one person can beat their three opponents. It is done this way so there are no unfair advantages or cheating." There was a moment of silence as Soul realized the brutality of the tournament. He swallowed hard at the image of Kid dying and he wished there was a way he could help Kid win this battle without the danger of Kid losing his life.
"Thank you, by the way." Kid said softly.
"For what?" Soul asked confused
"For believing in me, for saving me, and for everything else." A slight blush started to cover Kid's face and Soul felt heat rush to his groin. Kid cleared his throat and stood up, "I'm going to get some more water."
"No let me get it," Soul said standing up at the same time Kid did. Their bodies were so close Soul could feel Kid's body heat. Soul searched Kid's face for some kind of assurance that it was okay to move in. "Will you say it one more time?" Soul asked looking into the golden eyes before him.
"Say what?" Kid asked but he knew what Soul wanted him to say. Would he be able to say it again?
"How you feel about me…" Soul's voice trailed off. Kid stared at Soul for a second. Could Kid say it again? Did he really mean it when he said it? What if it was just the heat of the moment? Kid thought back to the battle ground and how Soul stayed by his side, how he encouraged him to keep fighting. Kid's eyes began to water as he realized he would've been dead if it wasn't for Soul. His heart began to pound and his mouth became dry.
"I love-" Soul didn't give Kid time to finish his sentence and pressed his lips against Kid's. They were hard at first giving some resistance then instantly calmed and felt plush. Soul moved their bodies so Kid was sitting on the couch and Soul straddled Kid's lap giving him full control. Soul cradled Kid's head in his hands as he kissed Kid deeper. Kid desperately grabbed and pulled at Soul's clothes. As Kid arched his body upward Soul grinded his down causing a moan to escape from Kid's mouth.
Soul pulled back and gently rested his hands on Kid's shoulders. The both of them frantically tried to catch their breath. "I'm sorry," Soul started, pressing his nose against Kid's while grinding his lower region into Kid more to make the sweet noises escape from his mouth again. "I can't control myself when you look like that." Soul brought his hands down Kid's chest pressing a little harder when he found the small nubs. Kid inhaled sharply at the touch and his breathing became more rapid as Soul moved his hands under Kid's shirt teasing him more.
"Soul," Kid said hastily. Soul pressed his lips back onto Kid's and moved his hands towards Kid's pant buttons.
"Soul, Kid!" a shout came from the front door. The voice was all too familiar; Maka.
"Shit," Soul whispered under his breath. He removed himself from Kid's body and attempted to fix himself. Kid did the same as they both walked to the front door. Soul reached for the door handle and was stopped. He looked up at Kid and Kid moved his face close to Soul's.
"You are going to pay next time for teasing me like that."
"We'll see about that." Soul replied with a mischievous smile. He stepped away from Kid and opened the door revealing a panicked Maka. "What's up, Maka?"
"Bad news guys, they decided not to give you any rest Kid, your next trail is in five hours."
I'll try really hard to get the next chapter up really soon. Next chapter Soul finds out some really unfortunate news. DUH DUH DUHHHHHHHHH
