Erza and Lucy sat side by side on Erza's bed waiting for Cana and Mira to arrive. They already told Wendy and Chelia about what they had planned and they just needed the other two. Lucy felt closer to Erza since she had learned of the girls past and it brought them closer. Erza had been so happy that she could finally open up to someone and not be judged. Erza leaned over and placed a quick kiss on Lucy's lips before grabbing her hand and squeezing it. Lucy smiled and kissed Erza's cheek. They had decided on not showing too much affection towards each other due to the fact that they could easily get caught and their plan would be ruined. Lucy stared at the wall in front of them and bit her lip.

"Do you think it will work?" Lucy asked quietly. Erza thought about it for a minute.

"I think we will make it work. There is no way I'm staying here any longer. Once we escape we can find a way to shut down the camp."

"Yeah."

"It's okay to be scared Lucy."

"I know." The door opened slowly and Cana and Mira walked inside with curious faces. Erza had told them what had happened between her and Lucy when the blonde had fallen asleep. They had been relieved and Cana grinned when she heard about the two hooking up.

"Hey." Cana greeted the two girls on the bed. Mira smiled as well as they came to a stop in front of them.

"You wanted to talk?" Mira asked. Erza nodded.

"Lucy and I came up with a plan of escape. We wanted to run it by you guys and see if you'd join us."

"You told Wendy and Chelia then?"

"Yes. They agreed to it."

"Alright let's hear it then."

"Well from what Lucy told me from when she was taken to Jiemma, Minerva is going to do something to take over the camp. She plans on killing her father and it's going to be chaos, so we can try to get past the fences and run."

"Sounds too easy."

"It's all we could think of, and we escape tonight if it works."

"Tonight?"

"Yes. Tonight Jiemma will be having a speech of some sort and I think that's when Minerva will make her move."

"There will be guards all over the place. You'd never get out."

"You!" Erza snapped her head to the door where Sting was. He smirked and walked on in with Rogue close behind him. "What do you want?" Erza stood up protectively in front of Lucy and glared at the men in the room. Sting rose his hands up to show he meant no harm.

"We come in peace."

"Peace?" Cana asked as she eyed the men. Rogue stepped up.

"We are going to help you escape."

"What?" All the girls asked in unison.

"Why would you help us?" Lucy asked.

"We don't like Minerva and we would rather see this camp burn than let her control it."

"Why would your friend help?"

"Sting..."

"I hate Minerva a lot and Rogue actually talked me into it." Sting grinned. "We're going to take this camp down."

"So this isn't some trap?"

"Nope."

"I don't see how we can trust you. All you ever do is cause trouble for us." Lucy said as she stood up.

"One, that was me. Rogue didn't even like the idea of working in this camp, and two, I would have taken you in by now if I wanted to."

"Fine." Lucy crossed her arms. "How will you help?"

"Well you guys are right about Minerva going to kill her father tonight, but like I said there will be even more guards tonight. So we were going to act like we're taking you in and then cut a space in the fence for you to get out." Rogue explained.

"What happens after?" Lucy asked.

"Stuff you won't need to worry about." Rogue said. They talked over exactly what they were going to do once nighttime fell. Rogue would take Erza, Cana, and Chelia while Sting took Lucy, Mira, and Wendy. They would come to their meeting point from different directions to keep suspicion down.

Lucy waited anxiously for the other two to arrive. She had said goodbye to Erza already just in case she never got the chance to do it again. Erza had assured her that she would not leave without her, but Lucy still tried to get the girl to go. She saw Mira and Wendy walking towards her and she smiled weakly. Minerva was giving some sort of welcome speech to her father before he gave whatever speech he had in mind.

"Ready?" Mira asked.

"As I'll ever be." Lucy replied and she tied her shoes tighter. They would be running soon.

Erza stared up at the sky with a calm expression. She may have been composed on the outside, but she was a mess on the inside. What if everything went wrong tonight and she lost Lucy? She took a deep breath and moved towards the rest of the crowd. Jiemma was just taking his spot on the stage. Chelia and Cana stood on either side of Erza as they watched intently. Rogue was behind them. Erza looked across the crowd and saw Lucy. They would be together again soon. Jiemma started coughing rather violently and Minerva smirked. He held his throat while falling to his knees. Blood was dripping from his mouth and people started yelling. Guards rushed to help, but Erza knew it was too late. Now it was time to move. Rogue grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the group of people. The four of them started walking rather quickly until they heard a gun go off. Girls started screaming and running all over the place. Erza frantically looked around for the other group, but she couldn't find them. Someone was pulling on her arm rather harshly and she turned to see Rogue looking frantic.

"We need to go!"

"Erza come on!" Cana yelled as they began sprinting away from the chaos. Erza just hoped that she met Lucy soon.

Lucy was pushed to the ground from all the girls pushing and shoving to escape the area. She got to her feet and looked over at Mira and Wendy. They were being held by Sting. He was glaring at something or someone. She turned to see Minerva holding a gun and it was pointed at him.

"Now I knew you were trouble."

"Minerva..." He grit his teeth and stepped away from the others.

"I'll go take care of Rogue right after I deal with you guys."

"You guys go!" Sting yelled. Lucy looked at her friends. "Go!"

"Too late." Minerva grinned and fired her gun at Lucy. The blonde waited for the pain, but nothing came. She felt something warm drip onto her cheek and opened her eyes. Sting was hovering over her protectively. He was grinning down at her.

"Looks like you can trust me huh?"

"Your shoulder..." Lucy barely whispered as she stared at the bleeding area.

"It's nothing. You need to go now." He said as he looked at Lucy. She nodded and moved from under Sting. "Tell Rogue that I couldn't leave without fighting the witch and that I'm sorry."

"Sting..."

"Go!" He yelled as he ran towards Minerva. Lucy started running and Mira and Wendy followed suit. They ran as fast as they could until they turned by one of the buildings as sprinted through the hole in the fence. Lucy heard someone yell, and turned her head to see the other group running after them.

"Lucy!" Erza wrapped Lucy in her arms as soon as she caught up. Lucy hugged Erza and tried to catch her breath. Erza pulled away.

"Where's Sting?" Rogue asked with a wary expression. Lucy shook her head.

"He had to fight Minerva."

"He'll make it out..."

"We need to keep moving. Minerva knows about us."

"There's a cave up ahead. We can take shelter there until morning." Rogue explained as he finally stopped staring at the camp. He could still hear the yelling and people trying to figure out what had happened. Lucy walked away from the group and noticed that there was blood on her hands. She looked back at Erza and the girl smiled.

"You got hurt..."

"It's nothing." Erza said as she walked behind Rogue. Lucy saw the blood on the back of Erza's shirt.

"Let me see."

"Lucy..."

"No Erza. I want to see."

"Fine." Erza sighed and lifted her shirt. There was a long gash running along her side.

"That looks like it will need stitches." Mira said as she looked at the wound.

"We can deal with it later. Right now we kind of have to run." Cana said quickly. They agreed, but Lucy kept a close eye on Erza. They made it to the cave in no time and everyone collapsed on the ground with exhaustion. Tomorrow they would keep moving, but for now they took care of each other. Mira stitched Erza up with the supplies she had stolen right before they escaped. Lucy was cuddled up close to Erza and holding onto her tight.

"I can't believe we did it." Lucy mumbled as she fought off sleep.

"I know..." Erza said into Lucy's neck. The blonde smiled tiredly and kissed Erza's head.

"We're free."
