Amaterasu, the ferocious flames of hell themselves, raged in his one eye. Wrecking havoc and begging him to unleash it upon the world that dared to go against him.
Tsukoyumi, the unbending illusion of eternity, rested in his other eye. Waiting patiently in hopes of the day, when the moon that dared shine luminously turned red. The night skies that dared enlighten the world with numerous points of light lose their light and the night skies are dark and endless once more.
They said that the Susanoo was third ability of eternal eyes of magic.
They couldn't be more wrong.
Susanoo was the patience of Tsukoyumi mixed with ferociousity of Amaterasu. Even now Harry could feel the drain of Susanoo on his soul and magic, waiting patiently to unleash its fury on the enemies of its wielder. The end was near and even Susanoo could feel it. Without even a need of command, his Susanoo had changed and weakened itself, choosing to create one of its earliest forms.
The form once used by Arcturus Peverell.
The red visage of the great armoured skeleton protected him with one arm of the magical construct holding the sword of Totsuka in one hand and mirror of eternal return, the Yata Mirror in its other.
The crowd had gone silent, expressions of awe and fear etched on their face. But they didn't matter.
Dumbledore was standing there, along with the rest of DoM, looking stunned at the revelation, unable to understand how? How a boy with barely months upon activation of fabled eyes could unlock the armoured warrior which took even his fabled ancestor, years of great magical warriors to achieve. But they didn't matter.
The White Council was also there. Merlin Arthur Langtry had an aura of power around him that spoke of great danger, evidently getting ready to fight. The rest of senior council had created a magical circle of power around the Great Arena of First Task, doing their best to limit extent of collateral damage of the fight that was bound to happen.
But that didn't matter.
The Sword of Totsuka was pointed at the dragon at a mental command. Seeing it as a challenge that shall not go unanswered, the mother of Hungarian Horntails roared in a violent screech. But it was for naught as the Divine gift of Susanoo extended at an unfathomable rate towards the mother. Seeing no way to dodge, the mother covered herself with her strong scaly wings, creating a strong dome of protection.
But strong wasn't enough.
The wings could have been made of butter for all the protection they offered the great dragon as the blade pierced her with minimal resistance.
There was a loud crack and a great Gong went up the around the arena.
There for all to see was Merlin Arthur Langtry, having ripped through wards of power as if made of paper and a fist engulfed with a pure magic was digging into the armour of Susanoo.
Cease!
The magic of the Great sorcerer roared, a crude compulsion but oh so powerful. Harry ignored it like one ignored the gentle breeze.
It was a testament to power of Merlin though that despite actively hardening his defences, there was a great crack across the surface of his armour. And that was despite withdrawing power from Sword of Totsuka and actively pumping in his defences.
Fraction of Seconds later, power returned in the divine gift piercing the Hungarian Horntail, ripping the soul of the dragon from its body and sealing it within itself for all eternity. That did nothing to cool the frayed leader of White Council's nerves.
A deafening explosive sound went across the halls of Hogwarts.
The armour of Susanoo had been ripped apart, the skeleton ribs broken and there stood Harry exposed for all to see. Magic in greater amounts than ever swirled around Arthur, as he descended upon the Sharingan wielder to destroy him.
"Fury of Trinity!"
The Merlin roared his spell. The greatest example of body magic that the world had ever seen swirled around the wizard. The spell was in theory simple, use raw magic to augment force of a simple punch. But rarely was a wizards magic strong enough to prevent backlash.
But for those magic whose was strong enough, each succeeding punch would be magnitudes stronger than the one before it. The first punch had been strong enough to crack Harry's Susanoo while the second punch had been strong enough to rip right through all of Susanoo's protections.
And the strongest and last punch of the magick descended upon Harry.
A faint blue light covered Harry; his eyes spun loosing the pattern of Sharingan quickly and flashed purple.
Shinra Tensai!
The Greatest of magical arts collided as the ultimate body magic fought against the ultimate gravity manipulation. Neither willing to back down. The purple eyes of Rinnegan stared into the glowing blue eyes of Merlin, neither blinked away.
Time seemed to stand still, as if delivering a message to all. The message about a duel that was going to unfold, as the strongest two men fought for all its worth. The magic shockwave generated easily deterring any third party from interfering.
Harry shot a bloodthirsty grin at Merlin, bloodlust running freely in his veins.
The Merlin bared his teeth at him, fortitude to finish this battle once and for all.
The magical outputs of both the contenders once again skyrocketed and time seemed to move once more, albeit still slow, as neither released the technique.
The grounds cracked, the clouds disappeared and an ominous sound was seemingly heard throughout the arena despite the ringing silence.
The giant had challenged the dragon. And once more, the challenge would not go unanswered.
As if on a cue, both contenders dropped their technique in synchronization and prepared their moves as the duel began.
Author's Note-
The chapter is a very short update and after such a long time, it is bound to be very frustrating to you guys. It is not a case of writers block, I want to write but my college isn't giving me time from studies. Chances were that my next opportunity to proper update would come in August and I am sick of people asking me whether I am dead or not.
Upnext, a Duel. And then a chapter or three before the end of the story finally dawns upon us.
Love you all
