Chapter 10

Trying to concentrate on his English homework, but to no avail, Kurt sighed in frustration when he pretty much figured out he's not getting anywhere with this right now. He threw his pencil down on his spiral notebook, and ran his hands through his chestnut locks. He was getting a headache.

Great.

A knock at the door disrupted his wandering thoughts. "Come in."

Jeff poked his head in. "Kurt, hey." He scanned the room and walked in when he didn't see Blaine. "I didn't know if Blaine was here yet or not. Nick left something last night; I just came by to grab it before he has a cow."

Kurt silently nodded.

Jeff grabbed a small black box from his nightstand and mumbled a triumphant aha! Found it!

Kurt drew his eyebrows together in confusion. "W-Wait...Jeff...?"

"Mmhm?" He hummed noncommitally, scanning the room, double checking for everything he needed.

"Are you...are y-you spending the n-night with Nick t-tonight?" Kurt asked, putting two and two together.

Jeff paused, looking up at Kurt sheepishly. "I am. Is that ok?"

Kurt swallowed. "S-Sure, I suppose." He shrugged and looked up at his roommate with a small smile.

"Ok. You gonna be ok man?" Jeff asked, concerned.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll be fine. Blaine is supposed to be here soon. Movie night, remember?" Kurt stated with a nervous giggle. He looked over to the stack of Harry Potter series, all set on his own nightstand, and grinned excitedly.

"Right! Blaine! Movie night...have fun! Let me know how it goes?" Jeff cheered, clapping his hands, and a second later, he left their room with a quick wriggle of his eyebrows, his small night bag slung loosely over one shoulder.

Kurt chuckled, noted the time, and went back to his homework. Rubbing his temples, he thought about their night, and what it would entail. I hope everything goes ok...I can't wait to see him! Kurt thought, as he trailed his pencil eraser along his bottom lip, thinking about the dapper handsome schoolboy. He bit his bottom lip between his teeth, and a slight red tint appeared on his face. Maybe I CAN be happy for once? Maybe things WILL work out!

A knock sounded again at his door, and Kurt rolled his eyes and chuckled. Getting up to answer, he called out playfully, "Jeff, did you forget someth-"

Kurt immediately panicked when he opened the door to see, not Jeff, but Sebastian standing there with a bored look. He suddenly forced a fake smile, and said, "Let me in. I need to talk to you."

Kurt's heart raced, his face paling as he slowly stepped aside, letting the meerkat asshole inside. Kurt shut the door once he was in. He wiped his clammy hands on his skinny jeans and gulped. "W-What do you w-want?"

"To talk." He said, looking around his and Jeff's room, taking in the various extracurricular activities ranging from books, movies, broadway music piled neatly, and turned to face Kurt.

"So talk." Kurt replied quietly, and wrapped his arms defensively around his torso.

This can't be good...Kurt thought miserably.

"Look here you little twink. Blaine doesn't like you." He said menacingly, laughing obnoxiously loud. "I mean, why would he? You aren't special. You're a...a nobody. You're doing this...this shit..." He paused, giving the pale shaking teen a disapproving look, "for attention."

"I-I'm not t-though...I..." Kurt started, trying to explain himself, keeping his eyes narrowed to the floor to avoid the leering boy towering over him, making Kurt feel small.

"Oh, but you are. Nobody cares about you. We all could give a rats ass." Sebastian spat, making Kurt wince at his degrading choice of words.

"B-Blaine...h-he does like m-me...he..." Kurt stated, trying to breathe, and certainly NOT hyperventilate, but Seb cut him off with a rude laugh.

"Are you fucking serious right now, gay face?! He doesn't like you. In fact, he takes pity on your sorry pasty ass."

Kurt choked out a sob, and a tear made it's way down his cheek.

"Oh god, now you're crying...Go on. CRY. No one fucking cares. A word of advice? Stay the fuck away from Anderson. He wants nothing to do with your virgin ass, when he obviously can have this." He gestured to himself confidently, finally stepping out of the terrified teen's personal space, and straightened his warbler coat. "Anyway, I'd advise you to cancel your dumb movie date night tonight..."

Kurt snapped his head up, eyes going wide, and his heart sank. "W-Why?!"

Sebastian scoffed and rolled his green eyes. "I'm taking Blaine to a gay bar, where he can have REAL fun."

Kurt pursed his lips an stared at the jackass in front of him. "H-He doesn't w-want that..."

"And you know what's best for him?"

Kurt flinched. Yes, I do. I think so.

"Stay away from us, and go back to where you came from." He said, turning his nose up and started for the door. Before he left, he turned around again. "Face it, no one will ever love you. Get over it."

Slam!

Kurt started crying, his vision blurring as he made his way towards his bed. Flopping down, he stuffed his face into his pillow, and let out a muffled and frustrated scream. I KNEW things wouldn't work out. Right! I don't deserve to be happy...

He furiously wiped his blotchy and tear-streaked face as he sat up to grab his phone, preparing to text Blaine.

K: Cancel tonight.

He felt his tears come back, and he noted the time. Blaine was already on his way up here, if he wasn't going to that gay bar with assface.

B: Kurt! Hey! :) Is everything ok? :(

K: Have fun tonight at the gay bar, Blaine. Don't worry about me.

B: Gay bar? What?!

Kurt ran to the bathroom, locking the door, and he slid to the floor, sobbing until he fell fast asleep, in dreamland, where no one could hurt him.

But what he didn''t know was he missed Blaine's text.

B: I'm at the door, I'm coming inside.

A/N: Again, this fic is hard for me to write. If you or someone you know is having problems, please don't hesitate to call the Trevor Project. Someone ALWAYS cares. :)
