Stevie was stood outside Miranda's room, waiting for him. He completely ignored her and went to the coffee machine.
"What did the doctor say?"
"Didn't find him" Clive lied, "Why does this machine never work..." he complained pushing the button repeatedly.
"I saw you walk off with him" Stevie replied.
"Have you got twenty pence...? i need coffee"
Stevie handed him the money and carried on talking. "Clive, what did he say? Please"
Clive sighed and put his head against the machine.
"Why are you crying?" Stevie asked worried.
Clive shook his head, burying it into the machine.
"Clive" Stevie whispered putting her hand on his shoulder.
"They don't think he's going to make it" Clive burst out, pulling Stevie to him tightly.
Stevie burst out crying, hugging Clive close to her.
Stevie and Clive sat outside Miranda's room, they couldn't face her.
Her head was rested on Clive's shoulder, his arm wrapped firmly around her.
"I need to tell her" CLive whispered softly.
"But how?"
"I have no idea" he sighed. "But she needs to say goodbye properly. Just incase. We all do" Clive stood up and went through to her room, closley followed by Stevie.
"What did the doctor say?" Penny asked.
Clive sat on the edge of Miranda's bed; tears springing to his eyes.
"Clive?" Charles added.

Penny jumped on the bed besdie her, bundling her into her arms, crying into her head. "shh" she sobbed, gently rocking her.
"Gary" Miranda whined.
"I'm sorry" Clive whispered.
Charles stood up and started to help Penny soothe Miranda. "You've got to be strong love" he said softly. Trying his best not to cry.
Clive looked up at Stevie, who was stood crying to herself in the corner. He shook his head and stood up and burst out of the room, he lent against the wall next to her room, and slowly slid down it crying.
Stevie soon followed and wrapped herself around him, crying into his head.

"Clive shh" she wrapped herself around him tighter.
"Stevie please" he begged pushing her off him.
"Clive.. It's ok" she sobbed into his head.
