Hey guys! Long time no see! Sorry for my long absence...but I'm back!
IMPORTANT NEWS:
-I EDITED this story, fixed it all up. I did make some minor plot fixes, and I haven't updated in awhile so you should probably RE-READ the story, or you might get slightly lost.
-I have a study hall now! Finally I know, but now that I have that extra time I should be able to get back into updating this story at least once a week (maybe more, we'll see).

Chapter 10
Max
The rest of the week was spent in the same boring cycle of unpacking, sleeping, eating, working out, and baseball practice. It's really all I ever did, other than the occasional visit to Iggy's house when Fang wasn't around.
The only highlight of my week was probably Thursday when Fang and I got into it at practice.
-Flash Back-
"Get moving Max! The ball isn't gonna wait for you!" Baldy yelled as I charged to get the grounder Coach Bud sent me. So far practice hasn't been that bad, we didn't even have to run laps. Of course Baldy's been out to get me the whole time, but really what's new?
I scooped the ball up and threw it at Fang not really taking the time to check and see if he was looking at me...he wasn't.
"Crap, Max! Oh my gosh I'm bleeding!" Fang yelled right after the ball I threw hit him right in the cheek. I winced knowing Baldy was gonna give me the third degree for hurting his favorite player, but I never even thought that Fang would retaliate like he did.
"Max!" He yelled as he gingerly touched his cheek and winced at the contact. What? It's not like it's my fault he wasn't paying attention.
"Well you should've been looking stupid, gosh just blame everything on me why don't ya?" I yelled back, aggravated that he thought I purposely hit him.
"Look who you're calling stupid! You know it's kinda normal procedure to look before you throw the ball!"
"It doesn't seem like I really have to, after all that would've been right to you if you would've been paying attention! Don't blame me for your mistake!" By now my fuse was about to blow and it had apparently gotten a rise out of him as well as he had already started stalking towards me with one hand over his cheek.
"My mistake? Max! Can't you just own up to the fact that you did it on purpose! You knew I wasn't paying attention!"
"I did not know you weren't paying attention! Honestly you have to be at least smart enough to know that you're fighting a loosing battle. What where you looking at anyway? Did some hoochie blond walk past the bleachers?" I yelled into his face. I could tell that by now we were progressing into the if-you-don't-back-down-I'm-gonna-beat-you-up stage and no one around us was even doing anything. They just stood there looking dumbfounded, well all except Iggy and Gazzy who where giving each other knowing looks, like they guessed this was going to happen sooner or later.
"Oh is that what this is about?! Are you one of those clingy obsessive girls that think that just because I was dared to kiss you that now we're dating? Well let me tell you something, that's not how I roll and hitting me in the face isn't going to get yourself any positive attention!" He yelled right back, and I stood there shocked before I finally got my whits about me and punched him right in the cheek. He looked equally stunned and didn't retaliate until I punched him again in the other cheek, the one where the ball hit him. Needless to say he got really mad and punched me back. I'm not really sure why they waited so long to brake us up, but right when I kicked him in the back of the legs and sent him to the ground Iggy was on me pulling me back. Fang stood right back up and came at me as Bolt our third base grabbed him and pulled him back, only for Fang to slip out of his grasp and come at me again. Before Iggy could stop me I grabbed ahold of his shoulders and used both my legs to kick Fang where it counts. Needless to say all the guys flinched visibly, and Fang fell to the ground in a moaning heap.
"Max!" Iggy yelled as he grabbed my shoulders, probably thinking I would go at Fang again.
"I'm ok Iggs." I answered as I got out of his arms and stood beside him, bouncing as the adrenaline wore off.
I turned to look at the coaches to see how bad my punishment would be. Coach Bud, my favorite assistant coach, actually had a small smile on his face as he surveyed the damage done to Fang. His right cheek was thoroughly black and blue and a small trickle of blood was forming from where my nail scratched his arm, and of course he was rolling around on the field groaning. Baldy was dotting around him like a concerned mother hen and when he turned around and saw me looking he glared at me. If looks could kill I'd be dead, let me tell you.
"Okay, well I think practice is over. Be here tomorrow at eight." Coach Lighter told us as everyone let out a collective groan. Fang and my fight seemingly forgotten.
"Eight am?"
"Yes, eight am." Everyone started groaning again and I had my hopes up that maybe I wouldn't get in trouble, but as soon as the thought crossed my mind Baldy looked up at me again and said, "don't think you're off the hook yet Max." And I got a little worried.
-Present Time-
The punishment really wouldn't have been that bad if I wouldn't have let Fang get so many good punches in. All it I had to do was run laps for an hour at the beginning of practice this morning, and my brushed stomach wasn't really working with me.
But really my week was terribly boring.
-So you like? Was it worth the wait? Probably not but oh well just stick with me.
