Tamaki Suoh is not the type to be hard to find. He was also surrounded by a mob of girls, which, along with how flamboyant he is was a major clue in to his whereabouts. So, approaching him wasn't that hard. All that had to be done was to get through the crowd, which we were adept at doing.

"Yo. Tamaki." Hiro initiated the conversation, but was met with an awkward pause, probably while he was getting over the shock of us approaching him. It's not a big deal right? Although, we have been pretty cold. Eh…We are in debt to them, best to be able to speak to them, and also that means that pissing any of them off would not be good.

"Oh! Hello!" His voice was laced with excitement and eagerness. "Are you enjoying the party!? Heh… What a stupid question, of course you are. This party is something commoners would be happy to attend! The lavishness, the atmosphere. It is something truly great!" Somehow, we had caught him in between fans.

"Yeah. Uh-huh. Whatever." I made my voice deadpan and bored, so as to discourage him from continuing. If he did, we'd probably be trapped here all night. "Anyway. There's a problem."

"WHAT!? What problem? Tell daddy, is everything all right!?" I was crushed in a suffocating grip, but at least I could still breathe. Hiro chimed in, and also helped me escape.

"We don't have a problem-Wait, well, that's debatable." Tamaki gasped in horror. "Anyway, the problem is that the musicians won't let Kinoshita play. Didn't you arrange for her to have a solo or something?"

"Yes-"

"So what's the problem?" Here it comes, the thing that ensured our "victory." (Our victory being that Tamaki would go make the musicians let her play.) "Are you going to let her be unhappy because of this?"

"No! Of course not! This night must be magical for everyone! If even one person is unhappy, the host club has failed." I could feel the triumphant aura radiating off my sister.

"Yep. It has. So…Why don't you-" She paused shortly for effect. "go talk to them, so Kinoshita can be happy?" I imagined the expression on her face to be a knowing, triumphant grin.

"Yes! That's right, I'll do that right away! Ladies, I must away. I promise to return, and dance with you under the bright, twinkling lights of the chandeliers." The cacophony of sighs around us was actually a bit unsettling. I will never understand anything that has to do with these people. Ever. Tamaki's voice carries well; a few minutes after we had spoken to him, he made an announcement, his smooth, noble sounding voice echoing through the ballroom.

"Greetings ladies! I hope you are enjoying this magical evening. Now, I would like to introduce Mitsuru Kinoshita, an internationally acclaimed musician. She'll play the violin for us."

"Thank you, I am very grateful." I could only assume that Mitsuru was up on stage and about to play, and I was quite excited. The music had been lackluster and boring, at least in Hiro and I's opinion. I was confident that would change with Mitsuru up there. As soon as the first notes started to resonate through the room, I could tell I would not be disappointed. The music was fast-paced, interesting, and played very beautifully, at least it sounded that way to me. It's not like I know anything about playing the violin. But it must be beautifully played, she is of international acclaim after all.

"This is so much better than before. " Hiro sounded a bit more relaxed. "The music is really awesome, Mitsuru is truly impressive." We had finally managed to get to the food, and it was delicious. The flavors were savory, everything blended together just right, it was some of the best food I had ever had, with all the flavors being pure and amazing. As much as I was impressed by the food, Hiro was even more taken with it. She is a foodie after all. I'm glad we came, actually, if only for the food. Despite the possibility of my blindness being discovered before I was ready to tell anyone. With that, my thoughts returned to a recurring topic, something I thought extensively about in the past few days. I'll have to tell them soon. If they just find out, it could be bad. Well, it could be bad either way, but I think it would be worse if they just found out via an accident or something. Better to tell them and explain. Maybe tonight just as I leave, so I can mentally prepare myself to face them the next day. Yes, I think that will do…I think it's time.

"Hiro." My tone was serious, as the topic I was about to broach was serious as well. "I'm going to tell them that I'm blind tonight."

"Okay." Her short response was reassuring. She would help and support me, and in turn, I would support and help her. As the night progressed, both of us ended up dancing with some guests, and also chatting with them. I did most of the talking though, with Hiro interjecting her witty remarks here and there. Soon, the guest started to head outside.

"Hmm…It seems it's time to see if Blondie's harebrained scheme worked. Shall we make our way to the rendezvous point?" I playfully held out my arm for her to escort me.

"Yes, yes we shall." Hiro took my arm and lead me to the outside courtyard, to the place where the other host had gathered. The party was set to end soon, and it honestly hadn't been so bad, the food was amazingly delicious, the music improved, and I hadn't humiliated myself. Things were good.

"Ladies and gentlemen. It is now time to begin the final dance of the evening's festivities." There were three sharp clanking sounds right before Tamaki spoke.

"That was spotlights. They're currently focused on Suzushima and Kanako. You can hear what is going on." Hiro became quiet, and we listened.

"The last waltz of the night has been chosen for…This couple." I had to hand it to Tamaki, he had a very charismatic way of speaking. There was a bit of a pause before I heard Suzushima speak up.

"Princess Kasugazaki." More silence. "May I have this dance?" Well…it seems that the plan was successful. Softly, almost barely able to be heard, I made out Kanako's reply. "Yes." The music started, without Mitsuru playing.

"And now to announce the Queen of the ball! Congratulations Miss Kanako Kasugazaki." Hikaru and Kaouru spoke jointly. Applause that was neither to loud or quiet to be impolite sounded. "As promised, her reward will be a kiss on the cheek from the king!"

"You ready?" Tamaki asked, confidence overwhelmingly obvious in his voice.

"Haruhi Fujioka will take his place!" A shocked yelp sounded, Haruhi had not been made aware of this, and apparently no one had told Tamaki of this development as well.

"I did say an accident might make things more thrilling." The sense of self-satisfaction was so strong I could practically see him smirking. Something else is going to happen.

"There's no way I'll kiss her." Haruhi was not happy, and I would not be either, if I was in that situation.

"If you do, we'll cut your debt by one third." Ugh! That is not fair. Will we get an opportunity like that? Probably not. Oh well, at least Haruhi will be able to escape this hellish situation soon. I tried to be optimistic. Although, knowing Kyoya, he'll find some way to raise it again.

"Hey, this wouldn't be Haruhi's first kiss would it?" Honey asked innocently.

"Aah! Haruhi, wait!" Well, Tamaki freaked out.

"Wow." The voice of my sister sounded incredulous, but also entertained. "That was…amusing. Tamaki slipped, fell, and pushed Haruhi into kissing Kanako on the lips. "

"Ha! Nice." Since the party was over, we headed to the exit along with the other hosts, and stood by, sending our guests off.

"Hiro, Kaede!" Mitsuru was clearly estatic. "I'm so grateful, I got to play thanks to you! You are able to handle anything, I thought that I wouldn't be able to play, even if I had asked Tamaki."

"Oh, it's us who should thank you." I smiled in her general direction. "Your performance was simply marvelous darling." I spoke with a British accent for the last part, but returned to my normal tone after. "It really was. The music was so bland and generic before you played."

"Regardless of who should be thanking who, I really enjoyed tonight. Being able to play for everyone was really fun and amazing. "She walked off, the sound of her steps closer together, signaling that she was happier. Soon, the members of the host club were the only ones left in the building.

"Well, that wasn't as horrible as I expected to be. What about you, Haruhi?" I asked, curious for her take on the situation.

"I actually quite enjoyed myself. It was an interesting experience."
"So… What happened with Kanako and Toru?" I asked, curious about what had occurred after the two of us had delivered the letter to Toru Suzushima.

"Oh. I met him dressed in a dress and a wig, and told him to tell her about his feelings, after I had found that he liked her. Then she walked in, started to cry, and ran away. Luckily though, he ran after her."

"Hm." I gave a noncommittal response.

"Ah! I'm so glad my three daughters enjoyed the party! It was a grand night, something to remember."

"Enjoyed is a rather strong word." Hiro and I spoke in unison, aiming to cut down any delusions Tamaki had about our experience at the party. "Are you planning to throw the leftovers away? Because if you are, we'll take it. "

"It would be a shame to waste such good food." Hiro spoke, a hard edge cutting through her noncommittal tone.

"We'll raise you quota if you take it. The club did pay for it, after all." Kyoya didn't answer the question.

"Only said we'd take it if you were planning to throw it away. Are you?"

"Well…the staff usually takes care of it. I don't know what they do with it." Kaoru's softer voice sounded thoughtful.

"Take it!" Tamaki's desperate enthusiasm caught me off guard, despite it being a common thing with him. "Daddy can't have his daughters going hungry! It is a father's duty to make sure his children have enough to eat-" The nine of us were standing outside the school gates, which Hiro told me that they enclosed the parking lot as well as the school. So, we were by a public street now.

"Hey, hold on. We have enough to eat, don't blow this out of proportion." I grumbled, a bit angry at myself for not seeing that coming. "Hmm" I spoke gently to myself. "It's dark, so instead of walking home, we'll take a taxi. We have enough money to do so."

"Okay I'll get it."

"Hey, what are you doing?" Hikaru questioned. It seemed that he was annoyed. I guessed he was speaking to Hiro and responded accordingly.

"Hiro is hailing a taxi." As if on cue, I heard a car pull up and start to idle in front of us.

"Is it all of you?" Came the voice of the cab driver, not one that was particularly memorable.

"Nope. Just my sister and I." Hiro spoke matter-of-factly. I walked foreward, towards the voice of the diver and the sound of the idling engine. Hiro subtly assisted me to the door, and I got in the taxi. I have to tell them now. I grabbed my sister's arm and dragged her into the car. While I did so, I forced myself to blurt out what I had been planning to tell them.

"Hey, guys. Guess what! I, Kaede Takinaga, am blind. Isn't that funny?" My voice was strained and nervous, and I spoke quickly, but not fast enough that they couldn't tell what I was saying. As soon as I was done speaking, I slammed the door and scrambled to fasten my seatbelt. Hiro already had hers on.

"Drive to 4813 Yakeru please. Please be quick as well."

"You got it miss." Luckily for us, the diver was not one for small talk, or invasive questions. He minded his own business.
