Chapter ten: betrayal
A muffled scream escaped Annabella's lips as she turned around and sped off to her room. As soon as she got in she slammed the door and slowly lid down the wooden the door if she was human a fountain of tears would be rushing down her cheeks. But sadly she wasn't. The petit vampire wanted nothing more than to kill the thing that had her lips moulded with her mates. She wondered if Demetri was in on it? Do you think they lured her here? Doesn't Marcus feel peoples bonds and Chelsea create bonds? Was this a plan to lure her here to kill her?
Thoughts were swimming around Annaella's mind; her emotions were going crazy first she felt sadness then anger. She still feels anger: a burning passion built up inside her and she had to let it out. Holding out her hand she lifted up a glass vase that had a simple red rose in it that Alec had giving her she used her other hand to lift the rose out of the vase, slowly twisting her hand around the rose set on fire then drifted to the floor: burnt. With the hand that was keeping the vase up in the air she swiftly moved her arm to the left and watched as the vase went flying into the wall and smashed into little pieces. Annabella felt slightly better know she had gotten her anger out but she wanted to smash more, the weight of the her broken heart killed her and she wanted something to break; it was a weird feeling. Without moving a muscle many glass objects lifted in the air and went flying in many directions, smashing. "Anna-Annabella? Are you ok? I heard smashing, what's wrong?" Jane shouted from outside the door.
"I'm fine" Annabella's weak voice mumbled: she wasn't, only a fool would believe her, she was angry, upset and scared. She didn't understand how she had just made all those things happen she has been on this earth for 236 years and never has she once been able to do that. Annabella got up on her feet and opened the door to let Jane in. "I heard what happened" the blonde started giving the red head a once over before carrying on "I couldn't believe Alec would do that, it's so out of character and I don't think it was meant the way you saw it.."
"Wasn't mean the way I saw it?! He was kissing another girl right when I was about to tell him my feelings that he already knows about. He's my mate and he ripped my heart out, you don't understand what that feels like" Annabella spat venom dripping from every word.
"I might not know about being betrayed by your mate but I know what it feels like when your betrayed someone you love, you know, I haven't always been this mean. I used to be nice, I used to care" the blonde replied sadly before walking out to leave the red head to think.
Hour later Annabella still hasn't moved she was thinking deeply about Alec and who Jane was in love with and why she changed as much as she claims. Sighing she stood up and got some paper, looking through draws for a pen she came across and old quill and a pot of ink instead: she began to write.
Dear Carsile,
I haven't wrote to you since I came and for that I apologise, I arrived safely and the Volturi have been treating me well. We held a ball today but it didn't go as planned I told Alec on the day of the fight that I only wanted to be friends as first then develop into a relationship. I was planning on telling him tonight that I was ready to (how do I put this?) develop... So I set off to find him when I did he was kissing another girl. I felt sadness and anger so when I got back to my room I used my powers to smash a vase and set a rose on fire but my anger didn't stop and all of a sudden lots of objects lifted and smashed. I am so confused and I don't know what to do. Please can you help me.
Lots of love, Annabella xx
When she finished put down the old quill and left her letter on the side to dry. Minutes later she folded up her letter and put it into an envelope, quickly writing the address on the front of the envelope she stood up, grabbed the letter and walked into the Throne room. The human guests were now gone and a couple of vampire new borns were cleaning the mess of blood and party decorations while the three olden's sat on the three thrones. "Annabella, how are you my dear?" Aro asked smiling sadly at the petit vampire infront of him.
"Fine anyway I came to see if I can get this letter mailed to Carsile?" she asked holding the letter up.
"Sure, Nathan, will take it" just as he said that one of the vampires she has seen around came up.
"Yes, sir." he said before taking the letter bowing slightly at them before nodding his head at me then speeding off.
"Thank you, Aro" she smiled at him.
"You may go now dear" he said sweetly as Annabella nodded his head at him then left.
The next day Annabella lay in bed pondering her options: talk to Alec or ignore him? Suddenly the door burst open and she didn't have much of a choice now. "Look just let me explain, please." Alec's desperate voice called.
"Let you explain? What? What is there to explain? You kissed another girl." Annabella sneered.
"There was a reason I did it, I promise" he cried, Annabella looked into his eyes which looked as lifeless as hers maybe just maybe I could give him another chance? she thought until a flashback of his lips and some random girls.
"Who was she?" she found herself asking her voice higher then normal.
"What?" he replied shocked at the question.
"Who was she?" she asked again.
"Her names Laylah" he replied looking down at the floor.
"Look into my eyes" she ordered his eyes slowly looked up from the floor into hers. "Well, I hope you and Laylah have a great life filled with happiness and unicorns." her voice growled before she stormed out and vampire sped into the Throne Room.
"Aro I'm leaving." Annabella stated as she burst through the doors. And that was 11 months ago. So what do you think?
"Why?" he answered smiling creepily at her.
"I-I just need to leave, thank you for your hospitality but I must go: will say goodbye to Jane for me please? And that I'll mail her soon" she said sadly then turning around she sped out and made her journey to back to the Cullens.
"You will be back." was the last thing Aro said to her.
